ryhooki
I'm currently stuck in gerudos fortress and can't get past that one guard in the white that stands at the bottom of the hill you're supposed to go up.....What should I do???? Thankx *Beware Shoulderinthewallmon*
Desbreko
You're talking about Ocarina of Time, right? When you first enter the Gerudo Fortress area, just walk up and let one of the guards capture you. You'll be thrown into a cell, which has a window up high in the wall. Use your Hookshot/Longshot on the wooden beam over the window to drop onto the windowsill. From there, you can drop down and sneak into the Fortress. After this, you'll spend most of your time inside, or on the rooftops. You won't be on the ground much. Hope this helps, I'm not entirely sure where you're talking about. Is it the hill that has the huge gate at the top, which has a guard next to it? ...But anyway, the only way to get into the Fortress is to get captured first and then break out of the cell.
MysticBabe
that hill your talking about is the horse archery game. you can't get up there until you are allowed to roam around gerudo fortress with a pass. in order to get the pass, you need to find the 4 carpenters. i'm sure you can handle it from there. PrettygurlRei
Shoot them with arrows! They colapse and stay that way until you enter a room in the gerudo fortress! The only ones you can't "kill" are the ones in white. Those stupid guards just won't die! I hate them.
Barra Maral
i thought you had to shoot them with the hookshot/longshot then run like theres no tomorrow?
Desbreko
Both the Fairy Bow and Hookshot/Longshot will stun them. The Fairy Bow is easier, though, because it's longer range and faster. The ones outside won't get up until you exit the area or go into the fortress, like PrettygurlRei said, I'm pretty sure. But, the ones inside will get back up after a bit, so you have to be quick.
AqUaWoMaN
Or if you're good with your sword, you can use your sword. I did it too, but just a tip if you're using your sword: cath some fairies.
Parabola-
I think I've rescued 3 of the carpenters. How many carpenters do you have to save? I rescued 3 of the carpenters, before I passed the Shadow Temple. I don't know where to go now. :flaming:
Desbreko
You have one carpenter left, if you've already rescued three. If you've already beaten the Shadow Temple, then the next thing you'll have to do is rescue the other carpenter. Then you'll head towards the last temple; the Spirit Temple.
AqUaWoMaN
Beaten the Shadow Temple? Do you have some tips to beat the boss Bongo Bongo? He always got me and shakes me and than he throw me away. It's the only thing I got to do before I can go to Ganon's Castle.
Desbreko
Well, I can tell you how to beat it, but there aren't really any tips for the fight... I found Bongo Bongo to be one of the easier bosses, once I found out how to hit it... First off, you'll want to have the Lens of Truth and the Fairy Bow equiped. Z Target (you don't have to use the Z Targeting, but it makes it easier) one of the hands, and shoot it with an arrow from the Fairy Bow; the hand will be stunned momentarily. Now shoot the other hand, and turn on the Lens of Truth. Z Target the big eye on the boss's main body, and shoot it with an arrow; it will fall onto the drum, and be in reach of your sword. Run up to the eye and slash in repeatedly, until it recovers. Now repeat the process, until Bongo Bongo is defeated. Like I said, there really aren't any tips, you just have to be good at avoiding the hands. Also, it'll help if you have the Biggest Quiver, which lets you hold 50 arrows at a time. If you have that, you won't have to conserve you arrows, so you'll be able to take more shots at the hands without fear of running out of arrows. If you do run out of arrows the Longshot will also work, but it's slower than arrows, so it's harder to hit with.
Parabola-
Desbreko, where's the 4th Carpenter located at? I can't find him anywhere....
Wes
Just keep looking. The last one takes a very long time to find. Also, if the sword wielding Gerudo who has the key starts to pull back, watch out. If she hits you with that spin move, she'll pin you and you'll be taken back to the prison. Make sure you don't blow it, or you'll have to find the last one all over again. I think the shield blocks the spin move, but I haven't played it in awhile, so I can't be sure.
PrettygurlRei
Go to the third carpenter door exit then I think you drop down and go into the door. Watch out there's a guard that will find you. All you have to do is wait till she passes you then jump over the crate and into the room you'll see the last carpenter. Or you can shoot her, but be careful she can see you over the crate if your standing up.
Parabola-
PrettygurlRei You know the Gerudo guard that is guarding the fence at the start with the sign, when you first enter Gerudo Fortress, is the last Carpenter behind that fence? I've looked everywhere, but can't find the last Carpenter....
Desbreko
Nope, you're either talking about the entrance to the Gerudo Training Ground, or the entrance to the Haunted Wasteland. There are no fences involved, for rescuing the four carpenters. :) Okay, since I'm not sure which three carpenters you've already rescued, I'll just tell you how to rescue all four of them: The First Carpenter When you first approach the Gerudo's Fortress, one of the guards will spot you and you'll be thrown into a cell. Look up, and you'll see a wooden beam over a windowsill. Target the beam with your Hookshot/Longshot, and pull yourself up to the windowsill. From here, you'll have to jump down to the ground, and run into a doorway on your left. Time your jump well, or else you'll be caught and thrown back into the cell (you can, however, stun the guards with an arrow, which is very helpful). Upon entering the doorway, you'll find the first carpenter. The Second Carpenter After freeing the first carpenter, go through the other doorway (not the one that you entered by), and you'll be in courtyard of sorts (don't hang around in the courtyard, or a guard may spot you). Go through the other doorway in the courtyard (the one to your left), and hide behind the crates inside to keep the patrolling guard from seeing you. This is another occasion when a good arrow will make it easier. One hit and the guard will be temporarily stunned, letting you run right past her. Back outside, you'll go around a corner to enter another doorway (you're up on the roof, so you don't have to worry about the guards on the ground noticing you). Another guard patrols outside the doorway you need to enter, however, so you'll either have to try and sneak past when her back is turned, or shoot her with an arrow to stun her. Inside the doorway, you'll find the second carpenter. The Third Carpenter After rescuing the second carpenter, go through the other doorway, and you'll be standing on the roof of the Fortress, with a doorway on your right (it's the only other doorway on that section of the roof). Inside, you'll be in a room with two guards patrolling in the lower section of the room. If you look up at the ceiling, however, you'll see two wooden beams running across the ceiling. Target the second one with your Hookshot/Longshot, and pull yourself across. (You can also use the Hoover Boots, if you have them, to float across to the small platform in the middle of the gap, and then to the other side). After exiting through the doorway on the other side of the room, you'll be back outside. Jump off the roof to your left, and you'll land in front of another doorway. Inside, you'll find the most difficult guard to avoid. Hide behind the crate in the corridor, and wait for her to pass out of sight as she walks down the left-hand passage at the end of the corridor. Now run down the right-hand passage, and into the doorway on your left before the guard turns around and sees you. (Or, you could just stun her with an arrow while hiding behind the crate and just run past her, which makes it so much easier). Through the doorway, you'll find the third carpenter. The Fourth Carpenter After rescuing the third carpenter, exit the way you entered. Turn right and drop to the lower rooftop, and then make your way to the doorway ahead. Inside, follow the corridor to the room with the fourth carpenter. Rescue him, and you're home free. After defeating the guard, she'll give you the Gerudo's Membership Card which lets you roam free in the Fortress, and gives you access to the Gerudo Training Ground and the Haunted Wasteland (beyond which lies the Spirit Temple).
eleanor
Oh, I have a tip on Bongo Bongo, use the Biggoron Sword, if you have it. It seems to be better than the Master Sword.
Desbreko
Yes, the Biggoron's Sword does twice as much damage as the Master Sword. So, yeah, it's pretty obvious that you'd want to use it, if you have it, which is why I didn't bother mentioning it. :twitch:
Wes
The only time I can think of where the Master Sword is better is when richoteting (Did I spell that right?) Ganondorf's Electricity balls. Even then, though, I switch to Big Goron's Sword as soon as I use the Light Arrow on him.
PrettygurlRei
actually you can use the hammer to. I think it does the same amount of damage on Ganondorf. but for me on beating Ganon, I have to use the biggorons sword. It's much easier to me. One more thing. who was dissapointed with the final boss Ganondorf and Ganon? he was sooo easy. I thought he was going to be hard, I think I had more trouble with the water temple then him. Grrrrrr. ::Angry::
Desbreko
Yes, Ganondorf and Ganon were pretty easy. I think that the hardest end boss in a Zelda game that I've fought was Ganon in A Link to the Past. I still beat him first try, but it took three Blue Potions to do it. But, this thread is getting a little off topic. It'd be better to continue this in another thread, since this is one for asking/answering questions about Ocarina of Time. :)
