(In his dark conference room Aba gets up from the grond and fires at the figure walking around in it. From the bright flashes of light generated by the blaster Aba sees a tall cloaked figure dodge the blasts, pull out and turn on a crimson red lightsaber.)

Aba: (Thinking to self) Who is this person? Why are they attacking me?

(Aba runs out of the room and into the long corridor leading to his hanger)

???:You will not escape me Senator Used, there is a price on your head!

(By pressing a button on his belt Aba opens the doors to the hanger and quickly rushes inside. Aba presses the button again and manages to close the door to the hanger behind him.

Aba: Hopefully this will keep him occupied so I can escape.

(The bright crimcson lightsaber easily burns a hole through the thick metal door, and it begins slowly moving into a circle. Aba hops into his air speeder and turns on the comlink)

Aba: Hello, CSF (Coruscant Security Forces) this is Senator Used of Ithor. A jedi is trying to assinate me.

(Aba's air speeder drives off onto the Corusant skyline, soon becoming lost in the sea of other vehicles flying among the skyline. The lightsaber finally burns open a hole big enough for the assasin to enter through, but when it enters the hangar it realizes that it is too late.

Kyle jumped into the room of Aba Oosed, finding it strangely empty... The mysterious bounty hunter, Xanko, jumped in after him, scanning the room...

Kyle: ::pointing to open door on the other side of the room:: "They must've went that way. We better hurry."

Lightsabre still at the ready, Kyle jumped over an overturned chair, then ran to the open door, Xanko on his heels... He ran through the door, finding himself in a long corrdior, the steel door at the end missing a large circular chunk in the middle...

Xanko: "...That was caused by a lightsabre."

Kyle: "You're right... We've got some serious company."

Both Kyle and Xanko arrived at the door a few seconds later, Kyle noting Xanko was able to keep up with him when he used the Force to enhance his speed... Not bothering to try and open the door, Kyle ducked and dived through the hole, switching off his lightsabre as he dived through the hole... He rolled after landing, then jumped onto his feet... Just in time to see a cloaked figure jump into a vechicle which was floating by the bay entrance... Not even turning back to see what Xanko was doing, Kyle began to run for the vechicle as it began to pull away, securing his lightsabre to his belt as he ran... And without a second thought, he leaped out of the bay, just barely reaching the car, and grabbing onto it's back as it sped away...

I know I'm not in this RPG, but I have a few questions. First of all, in the logo, how come it shows an Old Republic cruiser? And second, I thought Byss was destroyed when the Eye of Palpatine battlemoon crashed into it. Please explain.

Because the New Republic has just been formed recently...and thus, most of the ships are merely old ships that have been repaired.

It fits very well within the context of what this story is about.

As far as Byss goes -- I'm referring to movie history and not "expanded universe" history. Thus, any EU stuff is irrelevant here.

Let's not keep interrupting the story though...:)

Xanko pointed his left gauntlet towards theship, and fired his tow cable. It hit the back, only inches from Kyle's right hand. Xanko leapt out of the hole in the wall, and using the zip-line mechanism on his tow cable, he launched towards the ship. Now, he regretted dropping his jetpack.

Soon, he was hanging from the back of the ship, right next to Kyle, who was squirming, trying to get up on the ship. The Jedi would already have dislodged them, but he was still pre-occupied with chasing Aba, and so hadn't felt the Jedi, and ex-Jedi's presences.

Kyle would normally have springed up with ease, but the ship was very slippery, and the mysterious pilot kept doind enexpected amnouvers, which dis-orientated him. Fortunately for Xanko, his padded gloves weren't slipping on the ships metal coat. He vaulted upwards using his hands for propulsion. Then, he proceeded to grab Kyle and lift him up, just as the Dark Jedi noticed them.

Kyle drew his grey / silver lightsabre. Likewise, a yellow blade extended from Craig's lightsabre handle, as they prepared for battle.

Kyle: "Whatever you do, don't destroy the engine or the controls. I'd prefer not to have to fall onto other vechicles today."

Xanko acknowledged Kyle's statement with a mere nod of his head, and began to walk forward to the cockpit area, which took up about a 5th of the size of the medium-sized transport... Kyle followed, but quickly dropped to all fours and grabbed onto a piece of metal sticking out of the ship as the Dark Jedi piloting it began swerving it up and down and side to side, trying to loose both Kyle and Xanko... As the ship began to dive, Kyle let go, letting himself slide down past Xanko and into the open cockpit, right next to the Dark Jedi...

But before he could do anything, the Dark Jedi pointed an open palm at him, and without warning Kyle was flung out of the transport... Air rushed past Kyle as he fell, causing his robes to flutter at high speeds, before Kyle simply threw them off as he fell... And then, with a thud, he feel onto the top of a small speeder, using the Force to cushion his fall... He looked up, trying to see any signs of the Dark Jedi and Xanko... After seeing no sign, he sighed and shook his head...

Warlock: "I hate falling onto vechicles."

Noting a docking bay coming up, Kyle readied to jump in, get a ship, and chase back after the Dark Jedi and Xanko...

Xanko slowly proceeded towards the cockpit, his adhesion soles on his boots allowing him to walk easily without fear of slipping. Taking out his smaller blaster, Xanko decided to test the strength of his opponent. He extended it, pointing it firmly at the Dark Jedi's head. He fired a single bolt, and the Dark Jedi barely managed to dodge it.

Xanko: He's.......... not all that strong.

The Dark Jedi suddenly changed his course, trying to throw Xanko off. Xanko stuck firmly to the ship, not even slipping an inch. Tha Dark Jedi glanced back, noticing that Xanko was still advancing on him. The Dark Jedi again altered his course, now heading for the roof of a low building. Xanko knew that he planned to battle now.. so he waited... there was no honour in killing when the opponent couldn't fight back.

The ship touched down on the roof of the building, Xanko could sense Kyle drawing slowly nearer. Xanko flipped backwards off the ship, and onto the roof of the building, waiting for the Dark Jedi to attack.

Now in a small ship he loaned from the bay, Kyle flew inbetween two traffic lines, following the strange yet distant presence of the Dark Jedi... Pulling the control yoke closer to his chest, Kyle flew the ship up through a gap in the above traffic line, barely avoiding several cars... Hearing muttered curses following him, Kyle looked back, seeing the traffic line now muddled up as air taxis and ships went in every direcion...

Kyle: "The others ain't going to be happy after they see the destruction I've caused today..."

Focusing back on the Dark Jedi's presence, he noticed that it had stopped, along with the faint presence of Xanko... Readying himself, Kyle increased the speed, swearving around buildings and barely avoiding other traffic...

Meanwhile, the Dark Jedi now stood on the roof with Xanko, a red lightsabre out, both exchanging blows against the other's lightsabre... To Xanko's surprise, he found the Dark Jedi to be quite deadly with the lightsabre, and quickly found himself edged up against the edge of the building... With a flick of the hand, the Dark Jedi sent Xanko flying back off the building...

As this was going on, Kyle was currently zig-zaging through traffic, getting closer and closer... Diving down and through a traffic line, he sped at a building, putting more power in the bow replusorlifts... Closing his eyes, he drew closer and closer to the skyscraper, until he was only metres away... With with a flick of the wrist, the replusorlifts at the front of the small craft powered up to full, making the front lift up so Kyle was now running parallel up the building... And just as he reached the top, he spotted Xanko been pushed off the edge... Reaching out a hand, Kyle grabbed Xanko by his left arm, breaking the small fall and bringing Xanko up with him... Kyle spun the ship down, letting go off Xanko, letting him fall nimbly onto the building below...

Landing the craft, Kyle jumped out, igniting his silver lightsabre as he did so... Xanko joined him at his side, and both faced down the Dark Jedi...

Dria was en route to Naxiam when See-so gave a shrill warning, pulling her out of an already restless sleep.
Dria: What is it?

Checking to make sure her F-Star was still on auto-pilot, she examined the computer console.

Alert: Obstructed planetary entry.

Dria: Ugh...what's blocking our path out of hyperspace, See-so?

As the boxy droid gave a low whistle, its confusion became apparent.

Dria: Nothing should be in our way if we got the coordinates correct. The nav-computer wouldn't have allowed a hyperspace jump...

Dria trailed off and frowned. She'd have to either risk exiting hyperspace at the predetermined coordinates, or prematurely exit at their current position.

It would be suicide to exit out of hyperspace prematuely, anybody knew that. But of course, if the sensory data coming through about an obstructed planetary entryway was correct...she'd be dead that way as well.

Dria brought two gloved fingers to her forehead and rubbed it out of habit...she was convinced that the action helped her to think.

Dria: Bah, See-so...[the droid warbled in response]we're going to jump out of hyperspace early.

See-so shrieked its disapproval, whistling and blurting what Dria made out to be mechanical insults. The droid had pitched itself into a fury of refusal.

Dria: Shut up, See-so. It's our only option. [the droid calmed a bit] Thank you...[taking a deep breath] here goes nothing...

On his way back to his room, Noryko couldn?t shake what Lord Youn?Du had confessed to him. There could be any number of people that might want him dead. This business was a rich one, and the opportunities it presented were huge. If someone was to swoop in and take over, they could increase prices as well as the size of their pocket books. Noryko had absolutely no clue who would want to see him dead, but he had only been on the planet a day, and already hated what he was hearing. Regardless of what was going on, he had a job to do, and would trust that Korton would be looked after by Youn?Du, though he wondered if even the chief of security could be responsible. As he neared the door to his room, he punched a few keys on the control panel, causing the door to slide open. He rubbed his shoulder as he entered the room. The cockpit of his X-Wing was sufficient for short travels, but on long journeys that he often found himself taking, the space was much too cramped for any real comfort value. He figured it would be best to get some sleep, and think about the day?s events.

Noryko ? Artoo, remind me tomorrow to ask for a security detail. I need to see what?s going on with those miners, and I have the feeling that I could use what assistance they could provide.

The droid chirped happily, and Noryko fell backwards onto the bed. Though it was not the most comfortable bed, Noryko was more then happy to be out of his ship. The servant that showed him to the dining hall said that they had converted an old miner's living hall into a location where off-world guests would stay. Though they had more elaborate rooms, Noryko preferred to stay in rooms farther away from all the hustle of democracy. Though he could hold his own in any heated argument, Noryko preferred to be with normal people as he called them, the ones who had to fight every day just to get by. Noryko closed his eyes and started to breathe rhythmically, silencing all the thoughts in his head till he was at peace and slowly fell asleep.

The next morning, he called Korton from his room?s comlink. After arguing with the grumpy man for the better half of an hour, Noryko finally bested the man without even needing to use the force. He would have half a dozen guards waiting by the closed off mineshaft. Noryko thanked him with a smug grin and switched off the device. Over by his bed, Noryko lifted a large metal case. He opened it slowly, revealing a small arsenal concealed in the blast-proof case.

He pulled out his heavy blaster and strapped it into the holster which was tied to his leg, and fastened it to the belt around his waist. He pulled out a few concussion grenades, and clipped them onto the left side of his belt. Though he didn?t intend to use the explosives in a place that could collapse as easily as a mine, he would rather face Youn?Du after losing a mine, then simply lose his life. He laughed, as he felt a bit silly for putting his life in perspective like that. He shrugged and reached back into the case.

Opening a small compartment in the back of the case, he pulled out a velvet sleeve. Folding back the opening, he pulled out a short cylinder object. He held it in his hand for a minute, then pressed a small switch. The weapon ignighted, and a blue colored plasma stream extended from the hilt. Noryko adjusted a dial on the hilt, shortening the blade a little. Once satisfied with the length, he pressed the button, and turned off the blade. He opened a small zipper pocket in his pants leg, and slid the lightsaber into the pocket, zipping it shut once it was concealed. Before leaving, he grabbed a small comlink from the table beside his bed, incase he needed to contact R2-D4 for any assistance.

As he walked down the corridor to the mining lobby, he felt an uneasiness about him. Something wasn?t right, and he shivered a bit, just thinking about it. He closed his eyes as he waited for the repulsor life to reach his level. Silencing his mind, he slowly turned off the negative feelings he was having. While it sometimes served him better to be clear headed, Noryko knew that he should mind his thoughts, not wanting to totally dull his senses. He would of course rely on his eyes and ears, but this extra sense he always had about things was usually dead on. As he opened his eyes, he noticed the repulsor lift had finally reached his level, and he stepped into the lift.

Once he reached his destination, the doors slid open once again, and Noryko slowly walked out. He saw his security party waiting, but was a bit puzzled when he saw Korton there as well, dressed in full battle gear. Noryko sighed and walked to the waiting group, upon reaching it he looked up with a smile.

Noryko ? Glad you could make it Korton.

Korton ? No way will I let you alone with my men. Youn?Du trusts you, but you have yet to prove yourself to me!

Noryko ? As you wish my stubborn friend. Lead the way then.

Noryko bowed deeply, wanting to both frustrate him, and show him that he really didn?t care about his presence. Both intentions went over very well, as the larger man grunted as he walked towards the main door. As the massive mining doors slowly opened, Noryko sighed, thinking what a long day today would be.

Xanko and Kyle faced down with the Dark Jedi. Xanko suddenly grew cold, a tinging, horrible feeling inside him. It was lucky that he had his helmet on, or the others would have seen the ominent tinge in his face. It was obvious that neither the Jedi beside him, or the one opposing him, had any knowledge of what he was feeling... it felt so strange to him, he couldn't pin point what the disturbance was, he just knew it was nearing, and that it was a terrible power.

Ignoring the feeling for the time being, he darted forward towards the Dark Jedi, Kyle following behind him. It seemed to Xanko that Kyle had not long graduated to the level of Jedi Knight. He looked young, and the overwhelming thirst for battle that a young Jedi usually had, but at the same time, a slight uncertainty about his actions. Xanko had gone through exactly the same thing.

Lightsabre after lightsabre clashing together, the bounty hunter and Jedi slowly started to overwhelm the Dark assasin. They continued to push him backwards as he swiftly managed to block every attack the two Jedi forced upon him. This battle was going to climax before too long.

The next day Jessica awoke and found herself with a horrible and painful stabbing headache. She rubbed her temples as she climbed out of bed. She figured that it must have something to do with the disturbance she had felt in the Force the night before. She walked to the bathroom, letting her curtains up as she went, allowing sunlight to shine into her white room.

Jessica: Sometimes all this white reminds me of a padded cell...and I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up in one someday...

She stepped out of her nightdress and quickly took a shower. Afterwards she decided to go for a morning exercise, to get her muscles loosened up. She was off work for the rest of the week. She opened up the door to her balcony and looked out. She did a handstand onto the rail, looking down below her thousands of stories, watching all the traffic go by. She closed her eyes for a moment and felt around, listening to the chaos of thoughts around her. She turned a flip and landed back on her balcony gracefully.

Jessica: Time to head over to the Jedi Council...I hope they have an assignment for me today....I need to know what's going on.

She flipped her golden hair over her shoulder and lept from the balcony, cartwheeling and jumping gracefully from vehicle to vehicle, on her way to the other side of the city.

Exiting hyperspace to the sight of Coruscant's city lights was a welcome site to Dria. The planet was afire with life...and Dria wanted to get lost in it.

Dria was a bit banged up from her last encounter at Naxiam, dropping out of hyperspace and into the middle of a black hole danger zone. Damira's Grace had nearly been ripped in two, and had she not done an emergency power-down, she would have been dead within seconds.

The strain the power-down had put on the Grace had injured the hydro-flux conduits in both primary and secondary engines, leaving one cold and dead. So she had chanced the last three jumps to Coruscant, realizing once again that she didn't REALLY care if anything went wrong...she didn't value her life all that much.

The one reason she was still alive was the fight she had to endure for her family. She had to find them...it was the only way she'd be able to ever secure her own happiness.

The comm unit beeped as Dria slowed her air speed.

Coruscant Air Control: Please identify yourself.

Dria: This is Anahli Jem of Damira's Grace.

CAC: Please hold.

After what had happened on Hapes 3 years before, Dria never entered any planet under a name other than her alias. She knew the Radicals were thirsty for Dria Longstar's blood. The Grace was even entered under the pseudonym...

CAC: Damira's Grace, please follow entry course C-572.

Dria punched the code into her nav-computer.

Dria: Thank you.

She ended the transmission and hoped that this visit to Coruscant could be a productive one.

Greygg landed his ship in the hanger. Upon getting out he realised how much he hated these spaceports. Then his attention went to a more important matter. Nal Hutta was such a filthy place. Of course, it was run by the Hutts...so, what can you expect?

Tech Droid: May I help you sir?

Greygg: Where can I find a deep core runner?

Tech Droid: I'm sorry, sir. The Hutts no longer engage in trade with Imperial planets in the Deep Core. Deep Core runs are illegal.

Greygg ignited his lightsaber and cut the droid asunder.

Greygg: I hate droids anyway...

Greygg made his way to a near-by cantina where he hoped to find a smuggler or someone who might know someone.

Greygg: Give me a Rodian Blue on the rocks with Corellian nut-cakes.

Bartender: 'Essir.

Peddler: Wanna buy some deathsticks?

Greygg: You don't want to sell me deathsticks.

Peddler: I don't want to sell you deathsticks.

Greygg: You want to go home and re-think your life.

Peddler: I want to go home and re-think my life...
(lol)
The bartender brought Greygg his drink and his food.

Bartender: That'll be 10 wuppie-wuppie.

Greygg: You don't need money.

Bartender: I don't need money.

Greygg: You want to bring me an entire pitcher of this drink and you want to tell me who that man in the corner is.

the Bartender hands Greygg a pitcher of Rodian Blue

Bartender: That guy is Maco, I hear. A Deep Core runner.

Greygg: Really?

Bartender: 'Essir.

Greygg: Your ale is flat.

Greygg walked over and took a seat at Maco's table. Maco looked sourly up from his dinner.

Maco: Can I help you with something?

The black Sith Infiltrator broke through the clouds of Coruscant. It passed silently over the many networks of air traffic below.

Vin-Mar was at the controls of the ship. And sitting behind him in a chair slightly raised from the floor of the vessel, was Palpatine.

Palpatine: Ahh yes. There are already conflicts underway here. Three Jedi somewhere nearby...

Vin-Mar: Should I change our course, my lord?

Palpatine: No. Continue on your present course. We are under no threat.

Vin-Mar nodded and guided the Sith Infiltrator to a small landing pad on top of a tall skyscraper, which was only a few blocks from the Jedi Council Building.

As the ship touched down on the landing pad, its engines whirred softly, cooling down after a long flight in space.

The front hatch opened and Vin-Mar stepped out, followed by Palpatine.

The pair walked side-by-side along the landing pad, towards a small entryway on the roof.

The building itself was actually the supposed headquarters of a hyperspace engine manufacturer. However, the tower had now become the base of operations for Palpatine and his apprentice, Vin-Mar Sune...

Xanko suddenly stopped dead in the middle of the clash he was hyaving, nearly causing him to get cut in two. He flipped back, just as the Dark Jedi slashed towards his chest.

Xanko: *thinking*......... SITH?!?

Once again, he noticed that his opponent and partner had felt something, but nothing to the extent that Xanko was feeling. He felt so cold inside... they had much greater power than the opponent he was currently facing. He had to take care of them... Kyle would be fine on his own with this guy.

Xanko turned suddenly, and ran towards the edge of the building. He pressed a few buttons on his right gauntlet, and a bleep in his helmet signalled that his ship had recieved the message. He leapt off the side of the building in a diving position. Moments later, his speeder flew under him, and he caught hold of it, and sat down in it's seat.

Focusing on the terrible energy he felt, he kicked the throttle, shooting forward. They weren't far away at all... infact, withing just a few minutes, he came to the building that felt the coldest to him... supposedly a hyperdrive manufacturer. There was an elegant black ship on the landing pad.

Xanko's ship rotated horizontally as it lowered onto the landing pad, next to the black ship.

~Meanwhile~

Vin-Mar:My master, someone has just landed on the landing bay... one of the Jedi we sensed.

Palpatine: Yes, this one has extraordinary potential... and I sense a strong will to achieve power in his heart. He could be turned... and he would be a powerful ally.

Vin-Mar: I shall go and meet with him.

Vin-Mar bowed low at his master, then turned and started walking back towards the landing bay.

Strange... I assumed the Dark Side couldn't be sensed that easily Craig...
-------------------------------

Kyle only thought about his partner's exit for a few seconds, before flipping back as the Dark Jedi slashes at Kyle's open head... Racing forward a bit too boldy, Klye slashed upward at the Dark Jedi, trying to slash him right up the middle... Using Kyle's eagerness to his advantage, the Dark Jedi took a quick step back, the silver lightsabre slash slicing through air... All his weight at the front of his body, Kyle began to fall forward, the other Jedi using this opportunity to finish off the fight... He pulled his lightsabre back, and slashed horizontally at Kyle's falling head...

With his lightsabre too far down to block the slash, Kyle's mind raced in a milisecond... And without any thought, he increased the weight of his fall, rolling right into the Dark Jedi's feet... He instantly realised his mistake when the Dark Jedi feel forward fast, his lightsabre slashing Kyle's back... A second later, the Dark Jedi was back on his feet, Kyle soon after...

"He's better than I thought..." thought Kyle as smirked at the Dark Jedi, lifting his lightsabre up and pointing it at the Dark Jedi's eye in a sort of taunt... The Dark Jedi himself looked smug, noticing the pain in Kyle's face despite his smirk...

Kyle: "Absoulute pleasure meeting you."

And with a quick flip of his wrist, the silver lightdsabre's throttle assembly shifted, and the lightsabre turned green... And without warning, the lightsabre doubled in length, cutting right into the Dark Jedi's eye and into his brain... And with a large howl of pain, the Dark Jedi slid to the ground, dead...

Ah, but only by a Jedi. They didn't say anything about someone obsessed with greed and power having trouble sensing a Sith ;)

And don't call me SS Trunks...... I hate that damned name. Just Craig will do nicely.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Xanko drew his blaster, he felt himself drawing nearer to the deathly cold presence he felt. He didn't know what he wished to ackomplish here... it was very doubtful that two Sith had travelled to Coruscant to dispose of the one particular politician he was trying to get to hire him, especially since one was already after Aba... though he seemed to have been taken care of, Xanko could no longer sense the Dark jedi's presence... but Kyle's was still coming through quite clearly.

Suddenly, the passage Xanko was in seemed to swell into darkness. His gut instinct was to go back... his his arrogance, and pride as an esteemed bounty hunter pushed him onwards. He held his blaster tightly in his hand, ready to shoot at the next thing that came round the corner. Nothing had had this effect on him before... for the first time in his life, he was genuinly afraid of whatever was approaching him. Though, Xanko was not about to disregard his own skills. If it moves, it can be killed... tought Xanko, as his confidence started to regroup in him, as he again started to walk down the corridor.

He kapt to the outside esge of the corridor, giving him a better view around the continuing circle-like corridor as he passed down it. There were few windows in the room, and it was quite dimly lit. There's no way this place is a hyperdrive manufacturing plant... Xanko thought to himself... since he had entered, there had been no sign of activity besides the presences he felt, and this was the middle of the day, so something was definately amiss.

Suddenly, he stopped dead, blaster extended straight infront of him, as a dark figure appeared in the doorway at the end of the hall. The intensity of his presence seemed to freeze the room, and burn it at the same time. Xanko, overcoming the complete paralysis he felt, shot a single bolt towards the dark figure.

Even in Xanko's present state of mind, his skill was not affected. The bolt headed straight for the dark figures head. Moments before it hit the figure, it raised it's hand, cancelling out the blast, as it fizzed into nothingness.

Almost in denial, Xanko fired 3 more shots. Each of these was cancelled out and disintegrated much the same way as the others. Pretending like that had never happened, and still determined to save his own life, Xanko unclipped his lightsabre handle, ignited the yellow beam, and darted forward towards the mysterious warrior.
