RPG Surnacia: Search for the Light (play)

[Kei]

[COLOR=sky blue][i]A lone figure was walking along a path in the Surnacian countryside. Everyone knew that one had to be truly brave to travel down this road, because of the attacks recently, but she didn't care. She was on a mission.[/i]

Tani: I've been walking forever. Everywhere I go, everytime I mention the word "demon", people go into hiding! These attacks must stop! I will find people to help me on this quest. I must....

[i]Tani continued walking, thinking about how she could find people to help her, when she heard something rustling around in the shadows. Tani drew her broadsword and waited warily for the attacker to show its face.[/i]

Tani: Come out, demon! I know you're there!

Demon: Yessss, I know you do. I couldn't help overhearing that you think you can stop usssss. That's not going to happen.

[i]The demon pounced on Tani, making to slash at her neck, but Tani was ready for it. She dodged the thrust, ducked under the demon, and sent her sword right through it. Tani put her sword back in its place, and turned to leave the dying demon to its fate.[/i]

Tani: This will end. I swear it.....[/COLOR]

[Ryo]

Ryowa was in a tree watching Tani.

Ryowa *clapping his hands*: Good job.

Tani: Huh? Who is there? SHOW YOURSELF?

Ryowa: Dont worry. I wont hurt you.

Ryowa jumps down in front of Tani.

Tani: Who....Who..are you. You dont seem like a demon.

Ryowa: I kill demons just like you.

Tani: Ohh. Well I've been walking down this path searching for the light.

Ryowa: The LIGHT. Im doing the very same. Do you mind if I come with you? I mean....it would be much safer.

Tani: Fine. You can come.

Tani and Ryowa walked down the path on a quest to search for the Light.

[Kei]

[COLOR=sky blue][i]Tani and Ryowa contiued to walk down the road on their search. Tani decided to strike up a converstion.[/i]

Tani: So what made you want to do something about the attacks?

Ryowa: My village was attacked by a hoard of those things. Took out everybody and everything.

Tani: Except you.

Ryowa: Except me. I was away in the woods when it was attacked. Came back to find the place trashed. I knew they would eventually come, and I wanted to do something about it sooner, but I never had the motivation.

Tani: I guess that attack was nore than enough.

Ryowa: Basically. So why are you out here?

Tani: For practically the same reason, only a little more. My village was destroyed by those things too. My family was murdered, all except my brother. We both vowed we'd get revenge for all of our family and friends they killed.

Ryowa: Your brother? I don't see him around. Where is he?

Tani: He was killed. A bunch of demons caught is off guard one night. We were both fighting them and doing pretty well, but then reinforcments arrived for them and the tide shifted. He told me to get outta there. I wanted to stay and fight, but he wouldn't let me. He pushed me off into the woods, and I ran like some sort of coward. He said he'd catch up to me later. A bunch of demons chased me, but I lost them. I found a cave and waited for him for days after that, but he never came. I eventually went back to our camp spot, only to find him dead. I was mortified. He was my best friend and my teacher. He's the one who taught me how to fight. If it weren't for him, I'd have been dead a long time ago.

Ryowa: That's rough. Sorry 'bout that.

Tani: It wasn't your fault. You didn't know, nor did you kill him. It was them. That's why I going to make sure nothing like that happens to anyone else. I will avenge his death, all of their deaths. I promised myself I would,

Ryowa: Well, I'm here to help, so let's go find the Light!

[i]The two allies continued to walk along the road on thier quest, not knowing the dangers ahead....[/i][/COLOR]

[Ryo]

They walked a bit longer untill they heard a roar from the sky.

Ryowa: THAT does not sound like a demon.

Tani: A dragon.

Ryowa: How do you know that?

Tani: Just look up.

Ryowa looks up.

Ryowa: We got to go to the nearest forrest. We will be easy prey for him in a open field.

Tani: No I can get him.

Ryowa: TANI! Have you ever killed a dragon.

Tani: No.

Ryowa: Then come on.

They run into a forrest.

Tani: Okay. But what if he just blows fire into a forrest. It will all burn down.

Ryowa: I got a plan for that. * Takes out his bow and arrow*. Now lets see if this still works. ARROW OF FORCE!!!

The arrow shoots down into the ground.

Tani: Nice shot. We are doomed arent we?

Suddenly the ground starts shaking. And a blue force field goes around the two brave warriors.

Ryowa: No I dont think so.

The dragon flies towards them but cant get passed towards the force field.

Tani: Nice.

Ryowa takes out another arrow.

Ryowa: Arrow of Fire!!!!

The arrow sharply flies toward the dragon. But the dragon dodges it and the arrow misses the dragon by a inch.

Tani: Why dont you let me handle this?

[Guest Morph]

[i] As Ryowa and Tani fight the dragon, something appears from behind one of the trees [/i]

[b]Zamus:[/b] "Hello, my name is Zamus, I see your trying to defeat a dragon"

[b]Ryowa:[/b] "Well yeah, duh!"

[b]Zamus:[/b]"I will help you than, you all seem nice"

[i] Zamus gets his staff, and taps it on the ground [/i]

[b]Zamus:[/b] "Dust Spice!!!"

[i] Dust and posionous spice surround the dragon, and burn its eyes [/i]

[b]Zamus:[/b] "Now! Attack while the dragon is paralyzed, I can't hold this forever!"

[b]Tani:[/b] "Right...Ryowa?"

[b]Ryowa:[/b] "Lets do this!!"

[i] Ryowa grabs his boomerang [/i]

[b]Ryowa:[/b] "Boomerang of Light!!!!"

[i] Ryowa throwas the boomerang as it turns into a powerful blade of light, it hits the dragon, cuts its wings off [/i]

[b]Ryowa:[/b] "Got him!"

[i] Ryowa catches his boomerang [/i]

[b]Tani:[/b] "My turn..."

[i] Tani brings charging energy for Winter's Dawn attack [/i]

[b]Tani:[/b] "Try this you overgrown lizard!!!"

[i] Tani launches the Winter's Dawn blast, it hits the dragon and freezes it [/i]

[b]Zamus:[/b] "Now, its my time, for the final move..."

[i] Zamus begins to charge Dark Ion Beam [/i]

[b]Zamus:[/b] "Here we go!!!!!"

[i] Zamus launches the Dark Ion Beam, it pierces through the dragon with easy, the dragon screams in pain because of the acidic chemicals in it... [/i]

[b]Zamus:[/b] "Finished..."

[b]Tani:[/b] "We did it!!!"

[b]Ryowa:[/b] "YAY! We did it!"

[b]Zamus:[/b] "Yes we did, as a team, I'm thinking this is the start to a beautiful friendship...:)"

[b]Tani:[/b] "I noticed, lets get going guys"

[b]Ryowa:[/b] "Right"

[i] The three keep on walking, ready for anything that comes in their way [/i][/size]

[Angelus_Necare]

[i]As the three traveled up the road they saw someone, upon getting closer they saw that it was a young woman slumped ove against a tree, she looked dead. Tani shook her head[/i]

Tani: when will this stop....

Ryowa: should we at least burry her?

Tani: might as well...

[i]Ryowa moved in close to the girl and tounched her shoulder, she sprang to life and fliped off of Ryowa's shoulder sending him crashing to the ground. The girl drew her dagger and prepared to fight[/i]

???: back Deamons!

Tani: we're not deamons!

[i]The girl did a double take, then sheithed her dagger.[/i]

???: sorry about that you startled me. I thought you were deamons, you know it's relly easy to kill them when you catch them off guard like that.

[i]Ryowa shakily stood up and rubbed his shoulder[/i]

Ryowa: I'd say.....

Zamus: you're fighting the deamons as well? who are you?

[i]The girl made a small bow[/i]

Ari: Ari Matura, Theif extrodinare at your service...

Tani: theif?

[i]the others stood firm, theives wern't well accepted, but if Ari fought deamons she must be halfway decent...[/i]

[KabukiOwari]

Kabuki watched as the group continued to walk, jumping from tree to tree watching them closely.

Kabuki: What a group. They to are fighting those devilish demons i hate so much....huh maybe i should join them in there next fight...

He Said while continuing to jump from tree to tree....

[i]An Elf was walking through the woods. Suddenly, her keen ears picked up a noise that was pretty far away.[/i]

Tarayavie-More demons?! They already destroyed my home. *draws her sword* Time for revenge!

[i]Tarayavie runs off towards the noise as silent as a shadow.[/i]

angel sees people walk down the road as they approach she gets up grabs her sword she trusts noone not after her village was destroyed by those those things.

[The Harlequin]

[I]Sighing as the inane group continued what could be taken as a conscription run, Vukodlak decides that anyone who destroys demons must be at least worth consulting. After watching the wolf hybrid since she had been alone, Vukodlak had decided that someone that determined had a good chance of succeeding, and the others that had joined her seemed to know what they were doing. And they seemed open to companions... Easily getting ahead of them, he stands in the middle of a crossroad, weapons ready, but not held threateningly. The group see him and slow.[/I]

The wolf hybrid female: Who and what are you?

[I]Vukodlak, used to more hostile greetings, is taken momentarily off guard. Quickly recovering, he takes a bow.[/I]

Vukodlak: Vukodlak. As for what, well... I'm not a demon. From what I've seen of you people lately, we all seem to be in the same business.

Tani: I'm Tani. You too search for the light?

Vukodlak: Yes. My business dried up after the attacks began, and I had nothing better to do.

Tani: Your business? You're doing this because you lost you job?

Vukodlak: Yes. Besides, the reason I was working as an assasin was because I enjoyed it. This has so many more opportunities.

[I]The group draw back, wary at the idea of getting to close to a paid killer. Enjoying their reaction, Vukodlak adds, "I'm also a dark elf". The group draw back even more, seeming to ignore the fact that they outnumbered him, and that he had no hostile intentions.[/I]

Vukodlak: Don't worry, I have no reason to hurt any of you. Well then? Shall we go? And where are we going? And does it really matter, as along as we get to where we ultimately need to be? I mean, it's the result, not the steps...

[I]This rambling diatribe continues as Vukoldak turns and continues down the road, walking slowly to allow the group to catch up with him. Very quickly, he is told quite firmly to shut up.[/I]

[Deedlit]

[i]Tarayavie was running down the path when she saw someone.[/i]

Tarayavie-(thinks) Could that be....a Dark Elf?! What is he doing here?! I thought Dark Elves left the land years ago! They're one of the most evil creatures!(/thinks)

Tarayavie-Who are you, Dark Elf?

Vukodlak-*turns around* Who are you?

[i]Tarayavie sees that he has not drawn any weapon and did not look evil.[/i]

Tarayavie-(thinks) Hm. He doesn't seem that bad. Plus, he doesn't have an evil aura about him.(/thinks)

Tarayavie-I am Tarayavie. Now who are you?

Vukodlak-I'm Vukodlak.

Tarayavie-*sighs* (thinks) He really doesn't seem evil to me. I guess he's alright. (/thinks) Forgive me for my abrupt and harsh tone. I just thought that you might have been evil, being a Dark Elf and all.

Vukodlak-How do you know that I'm a Dark Elf?

Tarayavie-I'm an Elf. I know what an Elf looks like, be it Light or a Dark Elf.

[i]Tani, Ryowa, Zamus, and Ari catch up to Vukodlak. They stop when they see Tarayavie.[/i]

Tani-Who is she?

Vukodlak-This is Tarayavie.

Tani-I am Tani.

Ryowa-I'm Ryowa.

Ari-I'm Ari the thief.

Zamus-And I'm Zamus.

Tani-What are you doing wandering about?

Tarayavie-I'm searching for the Light.

Ryowa-It seems we have found another companion. We are also searching for the Light.

Tarayavie-*nods* Nice to meet you all. I'm glad that I don't have to find the Light all by myself.

[KabukiOwari]

Kabuki jumps from the tree to the ground hiding in the shadows....

Kabuki: (thinking)hmm.....i sense a great evil approaching......can this mysterious group of strangers handle it?

Kabuki: I soon will have to reveal myself......

[Guest Morph]

[size=1][i] The group walks along the road, and they enter a vast forest [/i]

[b]Zamus:[/b] "Change of scenery, woods..."

[b]Tani:[/b] "Alright, guys listen, keep your guard up, there may be something in here..."

[b]Ryowa:[/b] "Sure, I'll watch it"

[b]Ari:[/b] "Alright"

[b]Vukodlak:[/b] "I was wanting to fight something"

[b]Tarayavie:[/b] "What was that? I thought I heard something.."

[b]Zamus:[/b] "I heard something too..."

[b]Vukodlak:[/b] "Shh, listen...Its demons, they laugh in our face"

[b]Zamus:[/b] "Hmm.."

[i] They listen, and they hear the faint voices of the demons [/i]

[b]Zamus:[/b] "NO BODY MAKES A FOOL OF ME! COME OUT YOU BEASTS!"

[i]With that, the trees turn to demons [/i]

[b]Tani:[/b]" It was a trap! They were the trees!"

[b]Zamus:[/b]" Ah! A river..."

[i] Zamus begins to make his move [/i]

[b]Zamus:[/b]" TSUNAMI!!!!"

[i]Zamus launches his ultimate attack Tsunami at the demons [/i]

[b]Zamus:[/b] "C'mon! Lets get them!"

[i] The group begins to fight the demons [/i][/size]

A demon quietly sneaks up behind Tani....he raises his massive sword....but before he could swing it Kabuki, quickly drawing his katanna, came from no where and easily sliced the demon in two...he then reached one hand behind his back and snatched two ninja stars from no where and swiftly flung them at the beasts.....the stars pierced the demons skull....

Kabuki: HAHAHAHAHA....lets kick some as*!

[Deedlit]

Tarayavie-(thinks) Another person who fights demons? I wonder how big the group will be a few days from now? (/thinks)

*Tarayavie stabs one that was trying to sneak up behind her.*

Tarayavie-Don't bother trying to sneak up on me! *stabs another that was about to shoot an arrow at them.*

[Kei]

Tani: Could always use another helping hand, or paw.

[i]She raised her broadsword and slashed down on a demon that had made a charge on her. The demons were starting to become fewer. They eventually realized that their forces had dwindled and took off.[/i]

Vukodlak: And don't come back! That was fun.

Tani: You are pretty odd if you think being ambushed by a hoard of demons is fun.

Vukodlak: You have no idea.

Tani: By the way, hello friend. Welcome to our merry band.

Kabuki: Hello. My name is Kabuki.

Zamus: Hey Tani, do you think we should break down for camp here? There's really no point in moving on, is there?

Tani: There's plenty of reason for moving on.

[i]She drew her bow and fired a shaft off into the bushes. She was rewarded with a demon screaming from the arrow she just put through his mid-section.[/i]

Tani: A good army always knows to leave scouts behind to see where their enemies are. That was only one of their scouts. They're are more than likely others. We should search for them before moving on. That way, we can find a safe spot to camp for the night without worrying about waking up with spearpoints and arrowheads in our faces.

Zamus: Ohhh. Okay. Let's spread out and search the place.

Tani: Right. Zamus, Kabuki, Vukodlak, head to the east. Tarayavie, you're with me going west. Ari, Ryowa, check behind us. Okay, everybody ready? Let's go.

[i]The group split up, going to check for scouts so they can contiue on their journey...[/i]

[Deedlit]

[i]Tarayavie and Tani began to search the area. Each of them held their weapons at ready.[/i]

Tarayavie-sshhh. Did you hear anything?

Tani-no.

Tarayavie-I did. *turns her head* Aim right at the center of that bush.

Tani-*nods* *she notches an arrow and released it. Then they heard the wail of a demon*

Tarayavie-Good shot.

Tani-thanks.

Kabuki and the others in his group carefully search the forest....

Kabuki: Hey watch this..(he whisperd)...

He then reaches around his back and grabs a handful of ninja stars... and flings them in trees and in bushes.... the group then hears the screams of the goblins....one fell out of a tree and another flopped over a bush..

Kabuki: This is to easy...lets continue to search

Kabuki: Sleep !! have you know clue what has happened here!

????: What? << Looks round >> the demons!?!!? So what!!?

????: No .. I awoke to your little battle, you were skilled enough to handle it.

Vukodlak: what in odd man.?

????: A Dark elf is calling me odd?

Vukodlak: << Looks angry >> look little man your asking for it!!

????: Hey clam down I meant no offensive ?.

Kabuki: Who are you? and why were you sleeping in a tree next to hordes of demons?

????: Well for one those are not normal demons, not even worthy of the name demon! They were demon Blooded. But anyway my name's Dallas Von.

Zamus: Von? As in Knight Von?

Dallas: Yes that would be me. Another fan perhaps?

Zamus: I wouldn't go as far as fan, but I have heard of your righteous deeds in the past, but you disappeared years ago.

Dallas: Yeah well you see I had a good feeling something like this would happen so I made sure to stay away.

Zamus: Brave Knight Von a coward?

Dallas: AH !! No you see when all this started a lot of the world "heroes" were called apon to help and as you know most lay cold in the dirt because of it.

Kabuki: So you hind for they wouldn't call upon you?

Dallas: Correct! Now I'm searching for the Light ?

Vukodlak: do you know where it is .. ??

Dallas: No! but I know were it isn't.

Kabuki: Please explain?

Dallas: Well there are many legends of where the light was kept you see I know of many legends and some are just way to out there. But others speak of riddles found between these legendary places that give clues to where it is hidden and so far I've uncover two of these places ? and guess what.

Vukodlak: They were right.

Dallas: Not only did I find riddles but also powerful creatures heavily guarded each place spoken of in the legends .. the last of which I barley survived.

???. Please continue??.

[i]Tani and Tarayavie had searched their area encontering two more demon scouts before deciding that there weren't anymore, and if there were, they'd probably back off after seeing what had happened to their comrades. The pair started to walk back to where they began and wait on the others.[/i]

Tarayavie: Hey, Tani, about the Light...

Tani: Let me guess. You think I don't know the first thing about where to start looking for it, right?

Tarayavie: Well, I wasn't going to put it [i]that[/i] way, but, yeah.

Tani: Actually, before my family was, ahem, killed, my father used to always tell me stories about how Surnacia was once a land of great evil and how the Light came about. I suppose you know the story, right?

Tarayavie: Right.

Tani: Good. I can skip it. Anyway, after the Light had finished its work, it left behind a way to find it if it was ever needed again. The way to find it was written as a riddle. I know this riddle by heart, and I have figured most of it out.

Tarayavie: What is the riddle?

Tani: I'll tell it to everyone when we make camp for the night.

[i]They arrived back to the path, only to find that none of the others had made it back yet.[/i]

Tani: Hmm. Strange. From the skills they presented, I didn't think it would take them this long.

Tarayavie: Maybe we should go make sure they didn't go and get themselves killed.

Tani: Good idea. Let's find Zamus, Vukodlak, and Kabuki first.

[i]And with that, the two walked off to the west to find their allies....[/i]

[The Harlequin]

OOC: This could be hard to keep track of...

[I]While the little...altercation between the Transylvanian wannabe and the rest of the group, Tani and Tarayavie walked up behind them. Vukodlak turns away from Von, and introduces them. In his most sarcastic tone...[/I]

Vukodlak: Well people, it seems we have the [I]esteemed[/I]honour of meeting Dallas Von, who is renowned far and wide for his oh so incredible valour.

Tani: I'm taking it you two aren't getting on.

Vukodlak: Ah, we're getting on fine. I just get like that. Are we setting up camp, or moving on?

Tani: May as well set up camp. The demons seem to die pretty well.

Dallas: Certainly. They shall fall beneath my blade like grass.

[I]Vukodlak turns and faces him, irritated.[/I]

Vukodlak: Now you must admit, that was deliberate baiting.

Dallas: And?

Vukodlak: Of all the undignified, duplicitous, farcious, debaclous travesties I have ever encountered...

Tani: Didn't we tell you to shut up last time you started something like that?

Vukodlak: Yeah, but I need some vices.

Dallas: So this little group is searching for the Light. At least you have the advantage of numbers. A rather odd collection though. A wolf hybrid, a thief, a dark elf assasin with a good demeanour...

Vukodlak: Good? Good! I most certainly think not. I merely have some common interests with these people. Actually, I'm a delegate from my people. But don't ever confuse me with good.

Tani: Shall we just set up camp and stop this waste of time?

[Deedlit]

Tarayavie-A camp sounds like a good idea, but let's not set it up right here.

Tani-Why? This place seems alright.

Tarayavie-this place is emitting an evil aura.

Vukodlak-I can't feel anything.

Tarayavie-Only a few Elves and sorcerrors can sence auras. Anyway, we had best go back to the path instead of waiting here.

[i]Just as the group turns away, a huge demon jumps up from the ground. It looked like a leech but a million times larger and it had three heads.[/i]

[Carren Heart]

<< Dallas having had his back turned when this large demon rose up turns around with some odd looking jerky item. >>

Dallas: << Looking at the huge creature >> HELLO!! ??

<< Vukodlak, Tarayavie, and Tani all swiftly strike fighting poses soon followed by the others in their party. >>

Dallas: << Looks at the group and then moments towards the creature >> well show me what you guys got. That demon kinda strong ? well have fun. << Leans against a tree >> if you need help I'll be right here.

OOC: and no am not going to pull the my characters stronger then your character Crap!! ?.. its just how he acts.

ooc: Okey-frokey. ;) We don't need any arguements about that for sure.

Vukodlak: Hey, get over here and help!

Tani: It's okay! It's nice to have a reserve just in case! He's right, anyway. This is a strong demon. I've encoutered one before. It's called a Trilorm. Regular weapons don't work on it. I suggest we use magic to defeat it.

[i]Tani began preparing a Winter's Dawn attack. She gathered enough energy and fired it at the Trilorm, freezing it solid.[/i]

Tani: There! Now you guys can get a good bead on it. It tends to go underground when threatened.

Zamus: I got it now!

[i]Zamus powered up a Dark Ion Beam and fired it at the Trilorm, killing it instantly.[/i]

Tani: Pretty powerful stuff! Nice!

Zamus: Thanks.

Tani: Okay, people, let's roll.
