Anime how'd you get into anime?

lol! I hated Heero's clothes. His shorts.....were too short. But since it's Heero, he's still cute! Actually, I think Trowa's my second choice, too. Heero's #1!

I saw the imported color manga in the Viz catalog....but it's like 34 dollars. I really want the FY art books. Yeah...I think we should take out FY talk to the FY topic! But it's so hard not to talk about it!

Maybe that's why DBZ sucks another way...all their guys are big ugly brutes...well except maybe Trunks, he's a cutie...and all they care about is FIGHTING! [/color][/size]

Yeah. Trunks is the only guy who's even near being a true bishonen. It's true about guys being incentive to watch. I mean, even SailorMoon had Bishonen. And I watched that when I was really little. Especially now, though. If there are no cute guys, it's a lot harder to keep watching. ^^

Um, well bishounen definately did not get me into anime. When I was like, um, 5 years old, my mom rented a movie from blockbuster called totoro! It was about this giant.....ARGH! I CAN'T REMEMBER! But Totoro was so cute! He was like this giant, fuzzy thing.um, yeah.

i'm like most people. i've watched anime without relising it. Speedracer, i saw Akira when i was like.. 9 but i wasn't interested in it. but eversince my uncle and some of my cousins watching Movie #7 of DBZ, i was hooked. the only bad part was that it was in french and it was black and white. but it was AWSOME.

then i relized it was on CN so i watched it and Gundam Wing. Tenchi, i even watched Sailor Moon before all of this! i'm very lucky too, i seen 2 episodes of Pokemon, but i collected the cards. i have them all still and prolly around 1000 of them.

then my mom bought Princess Mononoke and thats my favorite anime movie to date. Blue Seed, some other movie about some people in a contest and i dunno i cant explain. BIRDY THE MIGHTY <3 i have yet to finish that.. i might buy it since i dont have satallite anymore. um.. thats pretty much it.

Robotech like 10 years ago, maybe even earlier, got me into anime...Even if Robotech is a rewritten mish-mash of different Macross shows lol.

I really started getting into it once I found the Ghost in the Shell manga, and video stores actually started renting lots of anime videos.

The first anime I saw was Speed Racer, but I didn't know what anime was. I started watching Poke'mon. I still sorta like it, just not the show because pretty much the same thing happens in every episode. Then came Digimon. Last summer I got Cartoon Network and started to watch DBZ, Tenchi, Zoids, etc.

The very first anime I saw I think was sailor moon... can't be sure cause I was like 6 when I watched it. You know, I never even knew what an anime was until I saw Eskaflone.

Back in the day I was flipin through some channels and I saw Dragonball Z. But no, it was not on toonami. If anyone remembers way back when it was a WB exclusive, that's what I am talking about. Anyway, I became obcessed and followed it through toonami. One day me and a friend of mine (who was much older than me) took a trip to one of his friends house. There he introduced me to emulators and roms, and the wonderful world of sub's. Then I began watching other anime. The list just keeps growing.

Well, I had always seen Dbz, and stuff along that sort on tv, but what got me really into anime, was Ghost in the Shell, I was probably a little to young to see it but, oh well. My favorite part is when she lays down in the puddle and they walk right over her.
Anyway, yeah scince then I have been obscessing over anime. :p

I started watching that when i didn't know the difference between Anime and cartoons, but over time i was introduced to Akira and then a BlockBuster came to town i was able to rent alot of other greats like Ghost in the Shell (well it's a "great" IMO). [COLOR=blue]Yes, Speed Racer was my first anime as well. Racer X was the coolest char. in the show. But, yea I watched that for a while, then the Dragonball Z bomb hit. After that I saw Gundam Wing, then various others and now, I am hooked![/COLOR]
