Like I said before... your life is what you make of it... your life is no one elses... it's yours... what you do, what you feel, what you see, what you smell, whatever you do... it's yours...
But u are nothing but the product of your enviroment is what the arguement back is.
personally i think this is one of those topics where u just keep thinking and thinking till words lose all meaning, so im gonna shut off now.

This is one deep discussion going on in this topic, but I have to agree with the people who say that life is only what you make it. I know I've felt sometimes that it's not worth living and wondering why I'm bothering to try to satisfy myself and others, but I try to make my life worth something, if not for me, then maybe for my future children, maybe I can make myself better so that they can live a better life than I did. That's one of my ultimate long distance goals...

ok.i onse heard this story that was supposed to be scary.i wasnt.it was about these ppl who died but they did not know it and did not accept it.then one by one each family member dissapeared. but the rest of the family didnt know what this girl was talking about because she was the only one who had remmembered.maybe its like that. the big bang theory destroyed us all and we cant accept that fact. maybe thats why are knowledge is so limited.

Then change your environment.... it's still your choice when it comes down to it.

Now compared to a mod I'm a worthless piece of ****.
But take my theory to heart anyway.
I don't think there is any life. I think all of the human race is dead. Some gigantic cataclismac(spelling?) disaster happened and all of our conciousness' got caught in some strange phenomenon. This world and everything in it is nothing more than memories of our past. I know my theory is singularly bizzare but it is how I think. I may just have an overactive imagination and way too much time on my hands, but..... Hmmmmm. Wow that was a really good theory. Wow.
Ok, I have to argue with you now. How can you think that? it is an interesting theory, but ti sounds like the Matrix a little to much. However, it seems that it could be plausable, but not true. I really need you to explain that more so i can put in more of an argument, or a peice of the discussion.

Now I agree with TN, sort of. He doesn't sugar coat anything, he says it like it is, and if you dont like it, then shut the hell up and deal with it. Thats why i like his posts.

To me life is just... life. You live, you feel stuff, then you die and do whatever you do when you're gone. Or maybe you even reincarnate. I don't know, and I don't suppose it's for me to decide. But hey, I'm just living. And like TN said, the meaning of life is what you make it. And yeah..... That's all I can think of now.

PS. Personally I think that we all evolve by discovering ourselves... whatever that is. And if you don't do that in one lifetime, you reincarnate. If you succeed... well... You succeed.

And oh yeah. If you reincarnate, you don't always look the same. Because the whole point of reincarnation is to let you experience a different environment... Something like that.

Sorry if I confused anyone, I tend to do that a lot.

Who does the seeing? You're placing this on a religious basis, that contradicts what religion told us. Very little ground for that I'm afraid.
What did religion tell us? I really want to know. Being that there are mant religions in the world. Yes, they all have the basic concept, Sometthing created you, and if you live accordingly, you get rewarded, if not, you burn forever. There's tons of ground for us to cover on the conecpt of religion in this thread, because it pertains to life. All of them do.

What makes you think we are belittling them? By asking questions, you force people to re-examine what they believe. Welcome to my world my lost cathartic friend.

The religion I was always taught tells us that God created the world so that we should worship him etc. That he should create us merely to see how we react suggests that the universe is some big, ironic joke. A mere amusement. Things are bitter enough for me as it is, so I'm not going to believe that.

Me as well. Now, I believe all of that. However, I really dont care for the salvation part. I have always sen life as a joke, so i laugh at it. However, human's were created to worship, something. It really doesn't matter to me what it is. Most worhip Personal Gratification, or money, or whatever makes them feel good. Every Human worship something, if you say you dont, you are lying to yourself.

Think about it. You are only saying that to be different, to be able to show people that you can make decisions for yourself. Now, in sayng that, you are worshipping the philosophy that Society believes today, " I can make my own decisions, I dont need anybody else".

well reincarnation is a plus. but the term recycled i thuink makes us look like primitive fools. but i mean de ja vu all over again and again would be annoying.but i mean does everything have feelings?so say you were reincarnated as a rock (!?!).when you reincarnate you dont have memory of your past unless something might remind you.what if you remmeber?your a rock what can you do? then life would be a waste.and all those years.you'd be begging for a bulldoser and get you out.only to be "recycled" again. and what if you get killed again and again. then the experiance would be a life of pain.and what good does that do? the starwars path to the darkside explains it all.and then you become "dark' and make the world a bad place.what do you have to do wait. to die and fix it?
