My, Game Informer arrived today:) and as I was browsing through the PhotoPhile section, one game caught my eye. That game was X-men: Next Dimension. It is another X-men fighting game and has alot more promise then the previous incarnations. Already the graphics look nice and sharp.Plus I heard they run smoothly. It's coming out for all 3 systems but I fancy the psx and ps2 so I posted it here.
Well, have you heard about? If so what do you think?

Yeah, the game really does look promising. With at least twenty-four characters, complete with counter-attacks and aerial/ground combos and fully three-dimensional levels littered with multi-tiered sections and other interactive elements, this one could be a winner. I guess it's only problem is that it'll be hard to stack up to the likes of Virtua Fighter 4 and Tekken 4 when it hits. Although sparse, the competition among fighting games is stiff.

I guess the game will always appeal to comic book fans though.

Violence shouldn't be the only thing that draws you to a game. Deus Ex has lot's of violence yes but, it also has great gameplay. No, I was not ragging on this game but I was ragging on him. This game looks pretty good in-fact I am looking foward to it!:) Also, that remark about X-men is a kid thing, makes no sense coming from a Digimon fan.

And Digimon would never be considered a little kids thing, hmmm?

Being an X-men fan myself, ya sorta set yourself up for that one, heh heh...

Well anyway, I look foward to seeing this new X-men game.. If they're putting it out on all 3 systems, it should be good..

Ive seen this game but have never actually played it, it does have poor graphics, sounds like a good variety of characters though. Still I dont think this game will ever get my attention, because the previous games were really blocky and slow with little moves per character. Tekken is the game for me! *kisses tekken 4 box*

No it doesn't have poor graphics, sure they are not like VF4's or something but those graphics can compete with some of the best.:flaming:

Ok, then yes and no. Yes they have got some good graphics, as does every other game on the ps2. No, not compared to fighting games like Tekken 4 and VF 4, in games like that you see every little bit of detail, like light and shade, and the creases in their clothes, even in the stages, for example the snow level in VF4, or the underground in tekken 4.

So xmen has got some good graphics overall, but just not to the likes of T4 and VF4.

But the graphics are not poor as you said in your fist post. What? you think every game on the ps2 has good graphics? I don't know what little world your living in but I have seen a fair share of blocky and choppy graphics on the ps2.

OK FINE!! I JUST TOLD YOU THE GRAPHICS WERE GOOD! WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT ME TO DO!!?....erhem......erm....now almost every game on the ps2 has a reasonable standard of graphics, if theyre blocky, then its most likely a background character or something.....see, you made put in a post which is of no relevence to the topic. For both of our sakes, stop arguing.

Calm down, you going phsyco or something. I wasn't trying to offend you or start a fight. I was just stating my opinion about your statement.

I had to think it over, but I'll let this topic continue for now. It's perfectly fine to debate the intricacies of X-men from graphics to gameplay, but honestly, try not to fight about it.

You two started out fine and remember, it's cool to disagree. But accepting other people's opinions is a big part of debating, rather than arguing.

ProudClod, I know the site rules aren't up at the moment, but refrain from "yelling" at people in caps. It's very rude.

And for the record, it's important to realize that every PS2 developer is not going to be able to crank out something as stellar looking as AM2 or Namco.
