Raichu Tamer
could someone tell me what the point of having Wobbuffet in Super Smash Bros. Melee is, because i don't see no point to him.
Desbreko
You mean when you get it in a PokéBall, right? It can do quite a bit of damage, actually. If you hit it, it rocks back and forth and anyone that touches it will take damage. It's great if you can trap someone against a wall or something, and stand back and use a projectile move on it so it keeps hitting the other player(s). It can be quite useful, sometimes.
Fall
I think it's a good idea to have him in SSB:M, because most people were probably expecting a popular pokemon like Pikachu, Charmander, and all those..... though for Wobuffet, he's pretty unpopular, and it's more interesting with him in the game. :D
Char!
Wobuffet is a really weak Pokémon, though, and not a good ambassador of Pokémon into any games. Look at Jigglypuff, he was in the first Super Smash Bros., and he sucks too.
iggy
yes that is correct they do suck they are meant for stupid ppl to play with them

Fall
Well how do you think it would be with the strongest pokemon in the game? I mean, they couldn't have all strong pokemon in the game, that would just be too boring. With weak pokemon in the game, it gives the player more interest in the game to find out more attacks/moves for the character.
Desbreko
Do not underestimate the power of Jigglypuff... In either SSB or SSB Melee... I'm betting you just haven't played on it long enough to learn how to use it effectively. In the original SSB, my brother could kick my butt on Jigglypuff... In SSB Melee, he can't kick my butt, but I think that's more because I've played way more than he has. He still puts up a dang good fight, even if I have played about four times as long as he has. Jigglypuff is by no means a crappy character, you just have to learn how to use it. And about Wobbufet being weak... just look at Goldeen, the "dud" Pokémon... And besides, there are already a lot more really good Pokémon, that you can get in the PokéBalls, in SSBM than in SSB. Heck, you can get all five of the Legendary Birds, plus all three of the Legendary Dogs... That's eight really good Pokémon that you can get, plus others that are pretty good too. They had to put in some that aren't as good to even it out. Wobbufet just happens to be one of them.
GotenksSSJ343
jigglypuff does NOT suck because if you used B down attack at the right time it's almost an auto KO.
Guest ProudClod
Jiggly bad you say!? Desbreko and Gotenks, I know what youre trying to say, jigglypuff is by far a great, not to mention cute, character, the only problem is that shes too weak, but if you learn how to juggle, then she can be one of the best. Non of the characters in melee are rubbish, its just that each one has their own fighting technique, and not many people know them. Yet again, wobbuffet isnt rubbish, his move just looks it, you need to get your enemy in a certain position- which is hard since all the pokemon are random selection. If you look at charizard for example, he has a flaming attack, he stays in one position (like wobbuffet), he attacks both sides (like wobbuffet), and stays around for the same time as wobbuffet, so both their attacks are pretty much at the same stats, but they just look different. Ninjaman
i agree with the previous three, jigglypuff is NOT that bad of a character. trust me, he is VERY good for the final event in the event match #51. mainly because u knock out tha big ol' Giga Bowser with Jiggly's down B move only once. believe me he is not a bad character.
