I have two words for you: Straighten up. Stop all this lame RPing that consists of "1 g0 1n 4nd 5h00t 3v3ryth1ng up 1 w1n h4h4" I've had it. I'm at the breaking point. I'm feeling pretty depressed right now, and all this bull is making me push over the edge. Now, I can't very well just LEAVE OtakuBoards.com because I have made some commitments to the GOOD members here. So I have some suggestions to make all of our visits more pleasent.. 1) [b]Put THOUGHT into your RPG/posts, instead of saying "I hold a tournament u join we play".[/b] 2) [b]Clean up your grammer.[/b] I'm SURE you all have SOME sort of access to a program with Spell Check and whatnot. Use it. 3) [b]Try and stop being so cheap.[/b] No one is invunerable. Even I get injured. Even Warlock gets injured. Even Flash, and Craig, and countless others get injured. It's time for the newbies to get injured some. 4) [b]Put some effort and detail in your posts.[/b] This would solve about 50% of the problems... 5) [b]Follow this.[/b] Trust me, I know what I'm talking about. I know the Moderators will agree with the basic idea of this. Maybe not with the method, but with the idea I'm sure of. Most of the topics here in G&RPGs are pure spam-fests right from the start (A prime example was that Zoids Tournament by Cloud Strife 00). Other, better RPGs with actual PLOT (Some of you may be hearing this word for the first time) are dragged down by spamming newbies. So, I'm advising you to stop. Otherwise, we might lose something... Not sure what to do, but when a good RPG comes out, give me a shout and I'll come play. These RPG's are all text based correct? And social interaction? Just tell me where to start. I wanna create a decent character and meet some new people, make some friends, and have a little fun. ESPECIALLY THE FRIENDS PART. Need some actual people with knowledge of Anime like me, whom which i can relax and talk with. Anywayz, i have been wandering around the threads and stuff, and i noticed that one guy became a moderator in less then 2 months! WOW! back at the others boards, i've been their for 4 months with 1500 posts and yet i get nothing! I've read most of the RPG's...and some of them are interesting, but I feel a lot of RPGs are missing something. I suggest for people who are new to the boards to not make their own RPG's until they really know and they can be there so their RPG doesn't drop the the second page. In the meantime, join up with more experienced players so you get a feel for it all. And for the veterans, including myself especially...please don't drop down to such a level that no plot progression or nothing interesting is going on for many pages long. People will leave...and the RPG is dead... Well, bacically it's just little things that get really annoying as it continues. For people who don't really know what's going on right now...dont' worry about it. If you know how to play, please do, if not...ask the experienced members or just follow their lead...you can PM me or any of the moderators/administrators if you have any questions. But, alot of the RPG's right now that i want to join are too filled up and far in, while others just have nobody playing in them. Total mind job...
