After reading an article in a playstation 2 mag the news of Hitman 2 came as quite a shock to me. I CANT WAIT!!! Though it did not say whether it was comin out on any other consoles. i just want to know if any else knows anyhing cus i think this game will be much better on the X-BOX than the ps2. Reason being its more powerful, stronger, faster and the brick (joypad) will definetly work with it than the ps2's pad. I own all three consoles and im very impressed with the X-BOX and my M8 seph will sure agree with me since he's borrowed it for the weekend with HALO and DOA3. But getting back to the topic at hand please can someone drop us a line.

P.S. Come on CWB im expecting u to surprise with some decent info.

WRONG!!! Its me proudclod....at your service....

Hitman 2: silent assassin will definately make an appearance on the ps2 and maybe the pc, im not sure about the xbox though.

Do you think the game could be that good? sure its a great idea with some great moves and story lines (the hit list can be funny sometimes), but the gameplay is pretty rubbish. The controls are very stiff and make it very hard to move around especially since this is a stealth game, theres no freedom at all compared to mgs2, and the acting is worse than in resident evil (psx).

Oh and golgo, i thought you might like these screen shots, so enjoy........

From Xbox.ign.com
May 01, 2002 - A real hitman should be more covert than this. Eidos Interactive officially announced today what everybody already knew, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is coming to PlayStation 2 and Xbox this fall.

The sequel to Hitman: Code 47 on PC, and in development by Io Interactive, Hitman 2 follows the story of an assassin tricked back into his former trade as a deadly
gun for hire. The story begins in a Sicilian monastery, and hurls our hero, Agent 47 into a confusing ring of deception.

"The Hitman 2 team is building on the original Hitman in order to develop a
stylish game built from the ground up for the advanced video game consoles,"
says Janos Flosser, managing director of Io Interactive. "Hitman 2's
incredibly intensive gameplay and in-depth character interaction makes for
an incredible third person based gaming experience."

Hitman 2's list of features includes the choice of a first or third person
perspective, mid-game saves, an improved inventory system, so gamers can
carry weapons from one level to the next, an open architecture, enabling
various styles of play, and a detailed ranking system.

The bald, generic looking assassin carries an extensive arsenal of weapons and
non-lethal weapons, including knives, handguns, sniper rifles, various
explosives, and chloroform, poison darts, stun guns, laser-aiming devices,
night vision goggles, and lock picks.

"The Hitman series is groundbreaking in the stealth shooter genre," said
Chip Blundell, marketing director of Eidos Interactive. "The nature of the
series lends itself perfectly to the gaming consoles. Hitman 2 places gamers
in the role of a hired gun codenamed Agent 47, and provides them with
innovative and thrilling missions that will put the Hitman series at the top
of its genre."

Now that the cat is out of the bag and the his cover has been blown, we'll have more on Hitman 2: Silent Assassin.
Cool pics Jabroni and Proudclod, ill be sure to keep both of you in my good books but seph may make the book of DOOM since he hasn't replied yet.
The game looks impressive and very attractive but are u certain that the control system will be flawed, I mean if MGS2 worked beautifully on the PS2 with the dualshock then it should be the same dont you think? Does the story dwelve back and forth into the previous game because I never finished Hitman it was to hard.
