Guest Rogue Shadows
Just wondering. it's from a anime called Zoids. There's a Zoids called the Liger Zero, and the Liger has three alternate forms: the Zero Jager, the Zero Schnider, and the Zero Panzer. I know that a Panzer is a kind of tank, and I believe a Schinder is a kind of dog. So, what's a Jager. it's pronounced Yay-gar, and is more then likely german. Kei
Like you said, the Liger Zero has different modes it can go into. They're all the same. The different modes don't change the fact its a Liger. The Schmiger form is has the most heavy artillery, but nothing close to a Gun Sniper (Rina's Zoid), the Jager form is the fastest, but not as fast as a Lightning Scythe (Lightning Team's Zoids). I haven't seen the other form that you mentioned, so I can't tell you about that form. Hope this helps!
Guest Rogue Shadows
The Schmiger specilizes in close-range combat, it's the one which looks like a Killer Orange HellRabbit. The Panzer is the heavy artilery one - so heavy in artilery that it can barely move, but it has tons more firepower then Rina's Gunsniper ( it took out well over five dozen of the Backdraft Group's Sabbats). The Jager is fastest out of all the Blitz Team's zoids, except of course the Pteres and the Reynos, but it's certainly faster then most ground-based Zoids. But Schmiger, Panzer, and Jager are all German words. A schmiger is a kind of dog, a panzer the german word for tank. I'm wonder what jager means. I know that it's still a Liger - but it's new forms change the name, un-officialy. In the Jager armor, it's called the Zero Jager as opposed to the Liger Zero. Same with the other two - Zero Schmiger and Zero Panzer. Never mind. I'll go to a German-English dictionary and look it up. How does Zoids - Chaotic Centruy fall into the mix? Kinetic
I am pretty sure they are all German tanks, but ya never know, I could be wrong...
amiboshi
Zoids: Chaotic Century was the original Zoids. Like Mobile suit Gundam, and then Gunda, Wing was the new one. The Zoids with the Liger you're talking about is a newer one. Chaotic century doesn't really fit "into the mix". It WAS the mix, in a way. ^^
Amphion
Im hitting myself cause I should know this. I am a big tank man, but I have not study anything on tanks in about 6 months. I do know that Panzer is the german word for Tank. Schinder is not a tank, Im not shure what it means, my translater is bugging up so I cant get a match. Jager is, to the best of my knowledge, Destroyer. Most of the German heavy tank destroyers are called "Panzerjager". which literally means Tank Destroyer. As for schnider I am still confused. I will search my resources and try and find out. Panzer - Tank Jager - Destroyer Schnider - ???
Amphion
Sorry I just read your second piost and I was looking up schniider when it was schmiger. Im still not shure on the Schmiger one but I did answer your question on the jager. amiboshi
You should have edited your post instead of double posting, Amphion...... That would make sense that they're all tanks. All armors for destruction pretty much in the show....
Guest Rogue Shadows
What differance does it make? To the best of my knoledge this place doesn't have a post cap on it's topics. Even if it does, this topic probbaly won't reach that cap. back to Chaotic Century. It's the first one? the animation looks better in that then in the main Zoids saga. Does Chaotic Century take place in the past, preasent, or future on whatever world Zoids takes place on? Which are the good guys - the Empire or the Republic? One episode had them defending the Ultrazaurus, the Empire's 'big weapon', but in another The girl Van travels with (not Fiona, the other one) has struck a deal with the Republic. In another one, they're protecting Emporer Rudolph, and in yet another they seemed to be in the middle, not caring one way or the other. Are the mecinaries or something? Guest Jabroni3:16
You should actually watch the episodes between those to actually understand it... I was, but then i noticed the importance of sleep.
amiboshi
I have no clue about any other information on the series. I just read a big article on it, so I know it's the original Zoids. ^^;;; I like how the characters look more than the Toonami Zoids. There's no post cap, but the mods will yell at you for double posting too often.
Amphion
Yeah I know I should have edited. I just hjave this weird fear that anyone who read my post before the edit will not see the new edited part, you know what I mean. I apologize again. I will watch my self from now on. amiboshi
I didn't mean to over-nag or anything. You can always put "-EDIT-" Like a lot of people are doing, and then put the changes after that. ;)
Senor Ding Dong
Liger means Lion & tiger. it ain't german.
Kinetic
We weren't talking about Liger, we were talking about Panzer, Schmider, and Jager. They are pretty much all German tanks, but I could be wrong, and yes, we know what a liger is :D All you have to do it watch Jay Leno :p (I love when he brings animals on)

Guest Rogue Shadows
EURIKA! I have found it. Jager means hunter. Schneider (that's the correct spelling) means tailor Panzer means armor or tank. There for, we're dealing with the Hunter Liger, the Tailored Liger, and the Armored Liger or Tank Liger when we talk about the Jager, Schneider, and Panzer. Liger is german? It sounds german. Guest Rogue Shadows
The mods also have a pretty messed up version of double posting, as well. Double posting is one accidently (or purposely) posts the exact same post twice. It's also a form of spam. Spam. What a funny word. It's the Ham in a Can! Amphion
Uh, no clue on that second post there, but anyway... Yes, that makes since. A tank Destoryer is called an Armor Hunter (in literal German) Sorry, MY world keyboard thingy was not working when I tried translating so I had to guess on the jager thing. I was pretty darn close though.
