Vegeta_girl5577
Does any one have any idea about what the live-action dragonballz will be rated? And does anybody agree with me that Courtney Cox-Arqutte would be a good Chi-chi?
Transtic Nerve
Courtney Cox is too young to Play Chi-Chi.... you do know she's in her late 30's early 40's? CHi-Chi that is.... I'm sure the movie will be rated PG or PG-13....
PiroMunkie
Yeah, I don't think there is any way that America would have the balls to make it have an R rating. There would be so many angry fans, they would be flooded with hate mail. It would be an accurate guess to say PG or PG-13. Although I agree that Courtney Cox is too young to play Chi-Chi. Her look is almost pretty accurate. If you watch the TV sitcom Friends and can think when her hair was just completely black, I think she could easily pass for Chi-Chi. They are both pretty demanding as well. Their personalities are almost parallel.
Raquel
heh...lol...anyone know when it's coming out?
The One
LOL I didn't know there was going to be one, hehe I can see it now, and yeah Courtney-Cox does look too young to play Chi Chi, but who would be good for her and the others, and how is that going to work...live action I mean...hmmm *goes off to ponder in a corner*
Chaos
They're prolly gonna find some nobodies out in L.A. and just use them... Bleh! Hah... R, Piro? I could only wish. More than likely PG... You know, to follow the whole "TV Y7" crap... -_-;;;
SSJ Pud
I think they could make her look older with make-up. She alreayd know how to act like chi chi (in friends i mean)
Vegeta_girl5577
The movie might be when she is younger to does anybody know when the setting is it might be earlier in the series. Then Courtney Cox-Arquette would have the age going for her to. I hope there are some well known actors in it.
Guest Chris
i think it'll be pg-13. i doubt it will be pg, you know, violance. they'll have to have violance. if not i'll personally send them ten thousend hate mails. think of how lame it would be without it. "shut up krillen before i blast you!" "oh' why don't you go jump off a chair."-shows vegeta's face turning red...he turns around and storms out of the room. Kinetic
Hahaha! That was hillarious. Anyway, I think Courtney-Cox Arquette could play Chi-Chi perfect! Whatever it was Piro said, I read it and thought, "That's exactly what I was thinking" But I'm rambling now so....
Washu
o.o... *scratches the back of her head* n.n; I didn't know that there was going to be a live-action movie... I personally hoped that they...Well...Wouldn't. Figured whoever would make it would make it stupid x.x ...And the fact that every girl would say "I HOPE LEONARDO IS TRUNKS!!!" Pleh ~.~ Oh well n.n It would be awesome ^-^ Shpecially if Toriyama was advisor
Guest ProudClod
I cant imagine this movie being all happy with green fields and pretty flowers all the way through it. I have a really bad feeling about this film, they might as well call it "censor city" if thats the case, there are certain parts in dragonballz where violence is what sets the scene, like the way radditz dies, and krillen by furiza. I might not be so dissapointed if there is a whole new story though, then they could edit it how they like, and we wont notice a thing since its our first time seeing it. But I think it will be a PG (no way a U), since they WILL show the occasional punch and kicks.
PiroMunkie
I doubt the plot (or lack there of) to the movie will be directly based odd the series. In my mind I kind of see it as one of the animated movies for DragonBall Z. Where it doesn't really take place in chronology to the actual series, but it deals with the same characters and the same types of enemies and such. Overall I see this movie turning out to be something like Mortal Kombat. In which case, it might actually be a decent movie if they can pull everything off right.

On the other hand, people may think dragonball is for children, since it is animated, comes on cartoon network, there are loads of bright colours, and the fact that violent parts are cut out. So what im trying to say is that this may have an impact on the producers of the film, making them have a feel to aim this film at mainly children. btw. I cant wait to see the effects they use on the ki blasts...um..if there are any that is....well they better be better than the hadouken in the street fighter film, lol!!!! Pleh ~.~
It's funny that you say that, because in the original (LIVE DBZ MOVIE) topic, whatever it was named..., there was someone who said it would be awesome if DeCaprio was Trunks! and everyone started laying into her laughing for the next 15 posts lol. The producers are not naive enough to think that only children watch the DragonBall series. I mean, just take a look at a lot of the DragonBall sites out there. There is no way a child could make a lot of those unless they are prodigies, which I doubt is true. They will know that they have to please a bit older audience as well. So it won't be too child oriented. Producers may make dumb shows, but they aren't dumb themselves.
Vegeta_girl5577
I have to agree with piro there. Producers arent that dumb. If they aim it at older audiences as well it should be at least half decent i mean spiderman was pretty awesome and it wasfor littler kids back in the day. I tend to ramble so if that made no sense at all im sorry.
Guest ProudClod
I just hope that your right piro for their sake. Although producers have made some stupid, but funnily stupid, films in the past including the previous dragonball film. But I think I'll give this one a chance....can't wait though. :excited: :excited:

Syk3
A live-action DBZ movie? I've nevr heard anything so LAME! Tell me when they find an actor to play Goku, i'd like to see how they ganna do his hair... As for the rating, i'm ganna hav to go with...er...pg13. Deffinitely not R because of the popularity dbz has among a younger audience. G and PG would more likely than not, not allow the kind of violence they show, so there's only one senible answer, PG-13. Frankly, i don't give a [enter bad word here] who plays as who, because it's going to be lame. Toriyama particularly made this anime so there could be no live-action immatations. To try one after all his hard word is ludicrous.

Gimme a break. 1) It won't look real, even if the creator of The Matrix made it. 2) They won't be able to relive the storyline, and they will have crappy actors. This movie will be crap, mark my words...and anyone who goes and sees it...bwahahahaha...I will watch it, but only if it comes on TV, and then I will make fun of it :)
Syk3
Presicely, the only reason that I might possibly want to rate it is because i am a hardcore dbz fan who wants to rate the movie. But before i even go i'm pretty sure i will not give a rating about a 3.0 out of 10. Then again, they could surprise us....not likely....
Guest Saiyangohan2002
I'd agree with Gohan Why couldn't they have made an anime movie? The pokemon ones did pretty good (even though pokemon's crap). An Anime version would do better because they woulndt have to worry about those hairstyles. But anyway, i hope the villian is Buu, and not Lord Slug, as it was in the first live movie (1985 or there about)
Syk3
Uhh, they hav already made a lot of animated movies about dbz, just none of them has come to theaters outside Japan. I think there...yea, there is 13, and they wouldn't make anymore because Toriyama has completely stopped, and would not want to draw them all over again. There is already 13 movies, plus about 2 specials, and 2 other kind of specials. Sorry if i confused ya there. In the US, they r releasing these movies simantaniously about ever 2 months or so. Right now they are on dubbed movie 5- Coolers revenge, but that's been out for a while so look for the next one in stores soon, movie 6 japanese name is 'Clash! 10 Billion Power Warriors'. HINT: it may hav cooler on the cover.

As for a villain to be in this film, Id think it would be best to either make up a new one from scratch, or use a current one with a whole new storyline. It wont be wise to do another storyline that corresponds to a previous one.
