Charles
I know that the number of high profile games exclusive to Xbox is rather sparse. Surely enough, Microsoft and Sega are responsible for a number of potential quality titles, but none possess the deep nostalgia as the game I speak of (besides Toe Jam and Earl, methinks). I know that news of Ninja Gaiden making its way to Xbox may not necessarily be brand spanking new news to everyone, but the sheer potential of the title is staggering. Upon taking a look at some screens of the game, one immediately notices how spectacular the graphics are in Team Ninja's latest effort. Although they don't look particularly superior to Dead or Alive 3, I must admit that the idea of an entire adventure containing both environments and characters of similar quality to Team Ninja's brawler is quite tempting. Hehe, that may be wishful thinking though. I doubt that the character models will have such a high polygon count for most gameplay portions. But, let's forget about the visuals. The true test of this game will be the gameplay experience. Let's hope that we get something a little old school despite the seemingly cinematic visuals. So, am I the only one actually interested in this game? I guess that this is a bone for old school gamers, especially.
James
Indeed, this is one of the few Xbox games demonstrated at E3 that really made any significant impact (the other would be Blinx: Timesweeper). This is certainly a long running series and the potential for an all-new 3D version is most welcome. I'm really looking forward to it. I was a little dissappointed that there was a lack of info at E3 regarding Panzer Dragoon 3 (a game which I'm really looking forward to) and some other big SEGA titles that were previously announced. It's a shame that there are few (if any) good first party games coming up, but it's definitely nice to see some third party exclusive titles appearing on the horizon.
Guest DeusTheSnail
I.......*sniff*....might actually have to buy an X-box just for this game. I mean Blinx look's ok, but Ninja Gaiden just look's amazing. I have been waiting for a sequel ever scince I finished the original trilogy. Finally here one is appearing exclusivly on the X-box. Why? Guest ProudClod
I remember playing ninja gaiden on the NES, it was very similair to shinobi, with a hundred enemies attacking you at once! I just saw some pictures and have truly been astonished by them, I cant believe the game has evolved in such a way. Its incredible how Team Ninja have made every character similar to those in DOA 2 and 3. I only got my xbox for the Shenmue series, but now I think Ill be making a few extra purchases. There hasnt been any news on a release date as far as I know. It is said to have revolutionised all platform games. Personally, I dont think that Ninja Gaiden's new style and content would suit a platformer, I see it as an espionage type of game similar to the ways of the Tenchu series. But the release of Tenchu 3 on the PS2 will give Ninja Gaiden a good challenge.

Semjaza
Eh, this thread is old...but the other NG thread linked to this one, so oh well. I totally expected this game to come to Xbox. The game is being done by Team Ninja, who in my mind, have more or less sold their souls to MS as it is. But anyway... I want to be impressed by this game, but I'm just not. Everything about it reminds me of DMC. And everything I liked about the video was done better by Shinobi on PS2 (aside from the graphics) I thought. Very little of this game reminds me of Ninja Gaiden, other than Ryu...and even then Ryu mainly makes me think of DOA now. I remember reading about this game on the Gaming-Age boards and talking to people about it in their file-sharing chat on DC++. Quite a few people seemed to think it looked like RE in real time. Personally, I am not seeing that. Ryu looks good, but the enemies just aren't interesting me (aside from those Jin-Roh looking soldiers with the red eyes, which are just cool as hell). I also noticed that half of the areas they showed with a lot of action were simple 4 walled rooms. Basically just squares with nice textures and lighting. I'm not a graphics freak, but obviously graphics is what Tecmo is trying to show off, and honestly...as a whole I'm not too impressed. It also doesn't help that I think the DOA series (which is Team Ninja's only recent game other than this) is the most overrated and shallow fighter ever. As of right now I have no trust in Team Ninja as far as gameplay is concerned because of that. I'm far more interested in Shinobi. I believe AM2 is in charge of that, and I trust them (and most Sega teams) a good deal.
