Anime Tamers: v2

Magnadramon fought fiercely. The outcasts began to fall. Harpymon with charred wings flew about limply, screeching hideously. Even inside the predator digimon, Masahiko shivered slowly.

Meanwhile, Tanemon found himself in IceDevimon?s claws. The master of the fortress edged out of the enclosed area to the larger corridors. The Outcasts had not spotted the sovereign in Icedevimon?s chalky claws?yet; it was only a matter of time before they did.
Tanemon, peeking from between the claws saw Icedevimon tear through an unidentifiable digimon and walk on what seemed like an endless corridor.

?Where are we going?? asked Tanemon. He wasn?t frightened for he knew Icedevimon wouldn?t harm him, but the corridor itself seemed so long, that the other end seemed?. endless.

Icedevimon didn?t reply right away. He kept walking as quickly as possible like one who wanted to hurry, but couldn?t run.
?We are going to the fortress shrine.? He said finally. ?I know someone there who can help you, perhaps to evolve.?
Tanemon?s eyes grew like ripe almonds. ?Evolve back to my true form??
?Maybe.? Icedevimon tersely replied as he continued his half hurrying stride.

Bright white shapes could be seen spiraling down to the new snow. One after the other alighted among some fallen ruins. After them followed three giant dark creatures.
Harpymon began to sniff and search the ruins of what once used to be the shrine of the fifth sovereign. Cyberdramon also landed with his reluctant soldiers, BlackMetalGreymon and Megadramon. The three scanned the site.
?You brought us here for this?? asked Zilla, the Megadramon.
?Not this.? Said Cyberdramon, casually. ?But for what used to be in this.?
Yoshi and Zilla stood silently and contemptuously, waiting for an explanation.
?The fifth sovereign,? said Cyberdramon. ?is thought to have great powers, surpassing those of the others. If we can somehow find him and present him to Master Velgmon, he and another ally can make life better for all the digital world by removing all unnecessary things.?
?You plan to catch a [I] sovereign [/I]?? asked Zilla in disbelief. ?A sovereign for Velgmon??
?The Digimental of the fifth sovereign was here in this shrine.? Said Cyberdramon. ?But it was lost in a fight with Ebonwumon. You two shall help find the Digimental of Power. Through the Digimental we shall control the sovereign.?

It seemed to Tanemon that he and IceDevimon had reached the end of the endless corridor. Tanemon couldn?t tell how much time had passed.
IceDevimon stopped in front of a shrine door.
The door of ice melted away as he let his long fingers run across it. Inside was a blinding display of ice. Frosted columns held up the structure and various scrolls lay on a glassy surface. At the far end of the room, a figure lifted its head and glanced at the visitors.
Icedevimon bowed as the figure came hurrying up. Tanemon saw a wizard digimon, frosty white in color. He carried a wand with a snowflake at the end glowing like a star.
?Sorcerimon, I hope you know about our situation.? Said Icedevimon.
The wizard nodded gravely. ?I know,? he said. ?there isn?t much time and this one needs all the help we can give.?
?Sorcerimon is our wizard and friend.? Icedevimon told Tanemon. ?He will do all he can to help you.?
?Your help is appreciated.? Said Tanemon. ?I was told you can help me evolve again and I promise I will get rid of these Outcasts once in my true form.?
Sorcerimon stared at the In-Training for a moment and shook his head. ?My power is not so great as to help you become the mighty Ebonwumon.? He said.
?I will be able to give you enough to reach rookie and maybe champion if the need arises, but,? continued Sorcerimon, looking at Tanemon?s stricken face. ?I know of someone else with greater power who can elevate you to mega.?
?Who is this person?? asked Tanemon. He was desperate to regain his powers.
?Not a person really.? Said Sorcerimon. ?But more of a?. it is hard to explain.?
?Well, how would I get to this thing?? asked Tanemon.
Sorcerimon rummaged among some objects and handed Tanemon an orb with an inner fire. Tanemon stared at it with wide eyes.
A point of light inside the sphere enlarged to envelope the tiny sovereign. The light broke off and Tanemon came forward as a strong new Aurumon.

The Harpymon seemed to have picked up a trail. Cyberdramon turned to their leader, who bowed demurely.
?Have found a scent.? She informed Cyberdramon efficiently. ?Digimental very faint, but sovereign?s power still strong.?
?Picked up the sovereign Ebonwumon?s trail.? Said Cyberdramon, grinning slowly. ?He?s bound to be weak and his capture should put me on Velgmon?s good side.?
Zilla and Yoshi looked up. So they were going to find Ebonwumon.
?Perhaps he could help us.? Said Zilla.
?How can you be sure?? asked Yoshi. ?We?ll be lucky if we even find him alive.?
?I just know.? Said Zilla. ?For the time being, we might as well play Cyberdramon?s game, it?s the only thing that could keep us alive.?
Cyberdramon walked up. He grinned toothily. ?It hurts me that you aren?t so open anymore.? He said softly. ?You told me everything when we were young.?
Yoshi raked his claws across the frozen ground. ?Before you betrayed our tribe to Velgmon.? He spat furiously.
Cyberdramon almost looked taken aback, but recovered. ?Come then, we fly! We?ve found the sovereign.?

They were walking through the forest. Everyone except Henry and Jeri were extreamly alert, looking for any more insect Digimon. Jeri noticed this. "Why are you all so alert?" she asked. "We won't have any more trouble from the Hive. Henry and Terriermon just easily defeated a large number of them."
"What did he do?" Rika wondered. "And how did he do it?"
"I won't tell you," Jeri replied. "Henry needs to be the one to decide when to tell you." She turned to face Henry. "And the sooner you tell them, the better. I think it's the awnser that we've been looking for."
"The awnser to what?" Henry asked.
"Adrian's riddle," Jeri said. "'The method they have used before against their greatest challenge can be used again against their toughest foes. But will the only two who can do it be willing to take the risk?' It makes perfect sense. Tell them, Henry. They need to know.?
[i]She's right,[/i] Henry thought. [i]They should know.[/i] "Okay," he said. "I'll tell them."
"Good," Rika said.
"It started when we were fighting the D-Reaper," Henry explaind. "The Juggernaut program was put inside of Terriermon. You know what happened when I used it." They all nodded. The Juggernaut program was thr reason the Digimon had to return to the digital world.
"The Juggernaut program is still inside of Terriermon," Henry continued. "It's been inside him this whole time. When we were stuck in the Mold, the program began to overload. I don't know why it did, but that doesn't matter. What does matter is that when I biomerged with Terriermon, the overload didsomething, and I became fully aware of how to use the Juggernaut program. What matters is that when Metamormon was controlling me, I was fully aware of what I was doing. I knew what I did, and more importantly, how.
Durring the battle, I used Juggernaut against you. When the battle ended, I remembered how I did it. The Juggernaut program is what I used to defeat the insect Digimon that attacked us. You asked me how I did it, and now you know."

If anyone didn't get the Ghoulmon thing, Ghoulmon is now made of chaos. Whenever he attacks, he deletes whatever his beam hits. From now on, I will call him D-Ghoulmon.

D-Ghoulmon walked forward, breathing heavily. As he walked, people screamed, though his blasts silenced them. He arrived at the stadium and entered, following the voice of the commentator. Suddenly, he had an odd urge to jump up and cover the stadium with a thin blanket of chaos, which he did. He opened a hole in the blanket and started to fill it with chaos, laughing maniacally.

"Look, Henry," Rika said as they walked along, "Jeri's right. Juggernaut is the only way."
"I can't accept that," Hanry responded. "There has to be another way."
"I don't think there is, Henry," Takato told him. "Parelellmon took every attack thrown at him like he didn't even feel them. Nothing that anyone did had any effect. Juggernaut might be what we need."
"I won't do it," Henry replied. "I can't take the risk."
"You take a much larger risk by not doing it, Henry," Jeri said. "It's the only way. Everyone here sees it. That is, everyone except you."
"I won't," Henry said. "I can't."

The Kuwagumon was shaking with fear as he stood before the Hive lord, HerculeseKabuterimon. It was his job to report to the Hive lord, and HerculeseKabuterimon had been known to kill those who told him things that he didn't like.
"Sir," the Kuwagumon said timidly, "The operation was a faliure. One of the humans merged with one of the Digimon while the others ran. The Digimon created by this process immeadeatly unleased a feirce energy storm. Every Hive soldier sent was returned to the Fresh form by this attack."
"[i]WHAT?![/i]" HurculeseKabuterimon's shout made the entire room shake. "HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?"
"I... I don't... I don't know, Sir." The Kuwagumon was shaking uncontrolibly. "None... none of us... none of us do."
"THAT IS UNACCEPTIBLE! THESE [i]CHILDREN[/i] AND A BUNCH OF DIGIMON TTHAT ARE NOTHING MORE THAN [i]PETS[/i] WON'T DISRUP OUR SOCIETY! I WON'T ALLOW THEM TO!"
The Kuwagumon didn't want to say it, but he felt he had to. "Sir... sir, I don't... I don't think that... think that there is... is anything you can... you can do."
HerculeseKabuterimon was already infuriated, and Kuwagumon's statement was the last straw. "SUCH INSOLENCE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! GIGA SCIZOR CLAW!" HerculeseKabuterimon sliced the Kuwakumon in half, and immedeatly loaded its data.
"IF MY WARRIORS AREN'T UP TO THE TASK OF GETTING RID OF THESE INTRUDERS, THEN I'LL DO IT MYSELF!"

Aurumon clutched the orb and danced with delight, but Sorcerimon hurried him off.
?You must go quickly if you want to help yourself.? He said. ?Take the child and his partners with you, they?ll need you.?
Aurumon nodded. He collected his orb and let IceDevimon escort him back to the battle.
?Well, I wish you the best of luck.? Said Icedevimon. ?I understand it will be hard to get off the fortress and the dangers beyond our stronghold are terrible in this time.?
Aurumon nodded. ?Yeah, it?ll be hard, but I have to have faith in these kids and in myself. I only hope my transformation will be soon.?
?We?re here.? Announced Icedevimon.
Aurumon took a deep breath. ?Well, see ya.? He went off to find Magnadramon.

A sense of apprehensiveness filled the three inside Magnadramon.

?Hey?Magnadramon??
The pink dragon searched hopefully for what might be the voice of Tanemon. Instead, they stared at a tall plant digimon with a white flower crowning his head.
The digimon grinned at them and waved.
asked Magnadramon.
?Yeah.? Came the reply. ?Except it?s Aurumon now.?
?You digivolved.? Said Magnadramon. ?But how?.??
?IceDevimon?s friend.? Said Aurumon. ?He told me I could get stronger, with someone?s help.?
?But how..and who?? asked Magnadramon in utter confusion.
Aurumon spotted more enemies coming in. He leapt on to Magnadramon?s winged back. ?No time, get out of the stronghold!?
?You will explain later!? said Magnadramon, swooping past the battlements.

?The Blizzard Masters? fortress.? Cyberdramon said. ?Now why didn?t I realize that??
?Because you?re a disgraceful incompetent.? Suggested Yoshi, not even bothering to lower his voice.
Cyberdramon growled, his back turned for he was not willing to show any sign of no self-control. A Harpymon shot a warning glance at the BalckMetalGreymon.
Yoshi simply stared right back at her.
?I hardly think this is the time to stir up trouble.? Zilla said discreetly.
?Time someone told him what a slime ball he is.? Yoshi argued back.
?I do beg your pardon,? said Cyberdramon smoothly. ?But I remember me saying that you are granted full withdrawal from Velgmon?s leadership if this mission is successful.?
Yoshi scoffed. ?Ah wonderful, and may I get that in writing?? he said scornfully.
Cyberdramon turned back, at least pretending to ignore him. He knew he stood a very low chance at taking Yoshi on a single battle. But he had vowed that his weak nature should never show, which was why he had sided with Velgmon who had promised him constant protection. Cyberdramon knew what he had done to his tribe and what he had done to Yoshi, but he wasn?t too ready to be sorry. It wasn?t mere jealousy, but something that actually gave him a recognizable power.
?I should have known that fool IceDevimon would give them shelter.? Said Cyberdramon, pretending he had not been interrupted by abuse. ?And we already have troops in his place.?
Cyberdramon grinned. ?This is easier than I had thought.?

I think everyone likes Pyrophobic's Devamon picture. I think we should use it.
Here's my next part. There's a lot I felt I needed to explain, so I've inserted notes throughout it. I might have missed something, so tell me if you think I did.
EDIT: I thought of something I missed. I put it at the bottom, so read it when you're done reading this story segment.

They were still in Hive territory, and still looking for the Devas. They hadn't encountered any Digimon since that first attack, and Yamaki was worried.
"I don't like this," he said. "Didn't those bugs say that their leader wanted us? Why haven't they tried again?"
"Henry beat them pretty badly," Rika replied, "but they all survived. They probably told their boss that they couldn't do anything against us, and so nobody else has been sent."
Just then, a faint buzzing noise was heard. They stopped and listened. It was getting louder.
"Whatever it is, it's heading this way," Tally said.
"What is it?" Rika wondered.
"Big trouble," Jeri said. The others all turned to face her as she told them what was coming.
"The Hive Lord, HerculeseKabuterimon, is coming our way," she explained. "He probably decided to come to us when he learned about what Henry and Terriermon did. I believe that he has hostile intentions."
"One Mega should be no problem," Kazu said confidently. But Jeri soon shattered that confidence.
"I don't think so," she said. "HerculeseKabuterimon has loaded a ton of data durring his reign as Hive Lord. He is much, much stronger then he origionally was. I'd say that his current strength is about four times what it was when he first reached Mega level."
Everyone had seperate reactions, but they all involved four-letter words, none of which Suzie knew, and all of which were not appropriate for someone her age. Only Jeri didn't have an outburst. She simply turned to Henry and said, "Please, Henry. Please."
Unfortunately, Henry wasn't willing to comply. "I won't do it. I can't do it."

HerculeseKabuterimon was determined to stop the intruders before they did anything. He was flying toward them as fast as he could. Every Digimon of the Hive that heard him coming made sure they looked busy, as they didn't want to make him mad. None of the Digimon of the Hive wanted to make him mad, because he was very violent when he was angry. They simply let him pass, then went bact to whatever they had been doing before he came.
HerculeseKabuterimon wasn't paying any attention to them this time, however. All he cared about was destroying the intruders. And he was confident in his ability to do the job. After all, he had loaded a lot of data and increased his strength. He was sure that he could destroy the intruders. And he was determined to do just that.

"It's getting louder," Takato said. "He's getting closer."
"Brilliand deduction, Sherlock," Rika responded. She then turned back to Henry. "Come on, Henry. Do it."
But Henry wan't going to change his mind. "I won't do it," he said. "I can't take the risk."
They didn't have time to try and convince him, because HerculeseKabuterimon arrived. He landed in front of them, and wasted no time in getting down to business.
"YOU ARE TRESPASSING ON HIVE TERRITORY!" he boomed. "LEAVE NOW, OR I WILL BE FORCED TO DESTROY YOU!"
"We're just passing through," Jeri said. "We don't mean any harm."
"LIAR!!!! YOU HAVE ALREADY DESTROYED A LARGE HIVE FORCE!"
"They attacked us," Jeri responded. "We had no choice but to defend ourselves. Besides, nobody was destroyed."
"THEY ONLY ATTACKED WHEN YOU RESISTED! THEY WERE COMMANDED TO BRING YOU TO ME, BUT YOU RESISTED! THEY HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO USE FORCE! LEAVE NOW, OR I'LL BE FORCED TO DO THE SAME!"
"We need to pass through," Jeri told him. "We won't hurt anything, but we don't have time to turn back."
"YOU WERE WARNED!" HerculeseKabuterimon thundered. "NOW YOU WILL BE DESTROYED!"
But the Tamers weren't going down without a fight. The Digimon, except for Devidramon, Lucemon, and the megas all digivolved using various methods.

"IMPRESSIVE," HerculeseKabuterimon said, "BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH. MEGA ELECTRO SHOCKER!" He fired a very large energy blast at the Digimon. Several managed to dodge the attack, but Gallantmon, MegaGargomon, and Kerpymon were all hit. All three were sent flying backwards through numerous trees before hitting the ground.
"Ouch!," Kazu said. "That must have hurt."
"No kidding," Kenta responded. "MarineAngemon, attack!"
MarineAngemon and Pearl flew in and launched their attacks. Unfortunately, they didn't do much. HerculeseKabuterimon responded by flying up, grabing them, and throwing them to the ground.
By this time Gallantmon, MegaGargomon, and Kerpymon had recovered. "Gargo Missiles!"
"Lightning Spear!"
"Sheild of the Just!" All three attacks converged and struck herculeseKabuterimon as one. The blast knocked him back a little bit, but didn't do anything else.
"Man!" Kazu exclaimed. "What does it take to beat this guy?"
"Attack him togeather!" Jeri shouted. "Everyone hit him at the same time!"
"Right," Gallantmon replied. "Sheild of the Just!"
"Gargo Missiles!"
"Amythist Mandala!"
"Lightning Spear!"
"Atomic Ray!"
"Kahuna Waves!"
"Kahuna Waves!"
"Grand Cross!"
"Acid Ink!"
"Crimson Claw!"
"Howling Blaster!"
All 11 attacks converged and struck as one. HerculeseKabuterimon was slammed backwards by the force of the attack.
"Yes!" Kazu shouted. "We got him!" But when the smoke cleared, he was still there. In fact, it didn't look like he'd been hit at all.
"What?" Kazu exclaimed. "That should have finished him!"
Kenta was also shocked. "Jeri, I thought you said he was only four times as strong as he was. That should have finished him!"
"IF WHAT YOU WERE TOLD WAS TRUE, IT WOULD HAVE," HerculeseKabuterimon replied. "BUT I'M MUCH STRONGER THAN THAT! I WAS CONCEALING MY TRUE STRENGTH BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW IF YOU COULD SENSE IT, AND I WANTED YOU TO BE UNPREPARED FOR IT. I'M ACTUALLY MORE THAN 12 TIMES STRONGER THAN I WAS. MUCH MORE." (Note: I mentioned that he killed anyone who made him mad. What I didn't say is that he has a short fuse, and is angry more often than not)
"It's true," Jeri said. "I can feel it."
"YES, IT IS. BUT I HAVE MUCH MORE POWER THAN THAT!"
"That's true, too," Jeri said, horrified. "He's becoming stronger. He's transferring energy from somewhere else. I think that's how he hid his true strength.
"CORRECT. I'M ACTUALLY 30 TIMES AS STRONG AS I WAS. THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP ME. NOTHING!"

Milenniummon was pleased. His plan to destroy the Tamers was working perfectly. Since his prison was weakening, he could do more. Soon, he would be free. But until then, he'd have others do his dirty work. He began the next phase of his plan to destroy the Tamers.
The other-dimensional energy he was surrounded by had no effect on most types of Digimon, but it did affect insects. An insect Digimon given even a tiny amount would become unbelievably stronger. Milenniummon was going to infuse HerculeseKabuterimon with as much of it as he could possibly send. He would only be able to send a certain amount, but it would be more than enough for his plan. The power increase would be enourmus, but temporary, and not without a price.
He would only be able to hold the energy steady for a couple of minutes before it dissapeared, but that would be all he needed. Also, some of his personality would be transferred, in order to make sure that HerculeseKabuterimon wouldn't back down, no matter what.

HerculeseKabuterimonstood still as the Digimon attacked. Nothing they did had any effect.
"FOOLS!" HerculeseKabuterimon exclaimed. "YOU CAN'T HURT ME! YOUR ATTEMTS TO DESTROY ME ARE PITIFUL! GIVE UP NOW!"
"He's at 20 times normal strength," Jeri reported. '25. 30. What? He's still getting stronger!
HerculeseKabuterimon was confused, too. "I HAVE NEVER FELT SO MUCH POWER! I DON'T KNOW WHERE IT COMES FROM, BUT IT'S A MASSIVE AMOUNT! NOTHING CAN STAND UP TO ME! NOTHING!" (Note: The massive power increase, as already stated, is temporary. The price for the amount of power increase HerculeseKabuterimon is recieving is greate than the benefit, which is the only reason I chose this plot line over the other ideas I had)
Jeri shook with fear as she reported on his power. "He's at 50 times normal. 60. 70. 80. 90. My god! He's at 100 times normal strength!"
"Oh, ****!" Kazu swore.
"INCREDIBLE! NOW NOBODY CAN STOP ME! NOBODY!"
"Henry!" Jeri shouted. "Do it, Henry! DO IT!!!!"
"/I can't,\" Henry replied from inside MegaGargomon. "/I can't take that risk!\"
"Damn it, Henry, do it!" Henry was shocked. He'd never heard Jeri swear before. "If you don't, he'll blow us all to hell! **** the risk! Do it!"
"Holy ****!" Kazu said, amazed at Jeri's new attitude.
Henry was equally shocked. "/Woah! That's not the Jeri I knew! You've changed.\"
"And you haven't," Jeri said. "I thought you had, but you haven't. You aren't willing to fight, even if the fate od the world depends on you. But you have to fight. Everyone but you sees that. Why can't you see it? Why don't you realize that you have to? Why?"
Why do I refuse, Henry thought. Why do I refuse to fight? I know I can control it, but I still refuse. Why? Why couldn't I see that I had no choice? I will do it. I must.
HerculeseKabuterimon watched the exchange with amusment, not even noticing the attacks that were constantly hitting him, and astonished at his still-increasing power, now over 1000 times normal. But he was becoming bored. "I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS!" he bellowed. "I'LL KILL YOU NOW, AND THEN MOVE ON! I DON'T HAVE TO BE CONTENT WITH BEING HIVE LORD ANYMORE! I CAN RULE THE ENTIRE DIGITAL WORLD IF I WANT TO. WITH MY POWER, NO ONE CAN STOP ME!"
"Henry, please!" Jeri pleaded. "Do it!"
"We will," MegaGargomon said. "We will."
"NO, YOU WON'T!" HerculeseKabuterimon shouted. "MEGA ELECTRO SHOCKER!" The blast he launched was massive. Fortunately, Kazu, Kenta, Jeri, Yamaki, Riely, and Tally were protected from harm by the Digimon. Unfortunately, the Digimon had no such protection. HerculeseKabuterimon's attack not only returned every Digimon that had digivolved durring the battle to their normal forms, but it obliterated the entire forest as well.
"SEE? YOU CAN'T WIN! NOBODY CAN HOPE TO WITHSTAND EVEN ONE ATTACK FROM ME! AND I'M STILL BECOMING STRONGER! I DON'T KNOW HOW, BUT I DON'T THINK IT WILL EVER STOP! I CAN DO ANYTHING NOW, AND NOBODY CAN STOP ME!"
"My god!" Jeri exclaimed. "He's over 100,000 times as strong as normal! And the speed he's becoming stronger at is increasing!"
"What can we do?!" Henry exclaimed. "What can anyone do?"
"Terriermon still has Juggernaut," Jeri said. "He might still be able to use it. We have to try."
"Do it, Terriermon," Henry said. Terriermon stepped forward. He didn't strike right away, because he needed to gather power. He knew that he had to charge up Juggernaut in order to defeat HerculeseKabuterimon.
HerculeseKabuterimon laughed. "YOU THINK YOU CAN STOP ME? I NOW HAVE OVER 10,000,000 TIMES THE POWER I ONCE HAD, AND I'M STILL GETTING MORE!" As soon as he had said that, he began to glow.
"He's digivolving!" Jeri exclaimed in shoch and horror.
"HERCULESEKABUTERIMON DIGIVOLVE TO...." .HerculeseKabuterimon transformed. He grew to about three times his previous size. The plateing he had became much thicker. He became black. He became much stronger and more muscular.
"SUPREMEKABUTERIMON!" (Note: Yes, SupremeKabuterimon is a Digimon I made up. As a digivolved form, he has the same personallity as his previous form. The new form is used more as an indicator of his new power than anything else. The only other time I use him, he'll have a closer to standard power level. And he is a mega-level Digimon. Megas digivolve into stronger Megas(ex. Gallantmon to Gallantmon Crimson Mode. Both are megas))

Perfect, Milenniummon thought as he halted the energy transfer. SupremeKabuterimon is over 100,000,000 times as strong as HerculeseKabuterimon origionally was right now. The Tamers won't be able to hurt him.
Milenniummon knew about Juggernaut. In fact, it was part of his plan. He knew that Juggernaut would be used to defeat SupremeKabuterimon, and he wouldn't do anything to stop it. In fact, he had it as part of his plan.
He also knew two things aboiut the energy that SupremeKabuterimon didn't. One was that the energy couldn't be sustained for more than a couple of minutes. The other was that when the volume of energy that SupremeKabuterimon currently contained became unsustainible, it would be leathal to him. He would be destroyed by it.

Every insect in the Hive knew that something was wrong when the forest was destroyed, and they were all flying to the battle site. When SupremeKabuterimon appeared, they all felt the dark energy within him, and they all attacked.
The Tamers watched as SupremeKabuterimon obliterated every insect Digimon that appeared. "ELECTRO SPIN!" He became surrounded by electric energy as he spun rapidly. He collided with many insects as he spun, and every one he hit was destroyed. He stopped spinning and used a different attack.
"ELECTRON SHOCKWAVE!" He spread his arms as he launched a massive electric wave at a swarm of insects, destroying every one. "ELECTRO BURST!" He held up an arm and fired an enormous electric energy blast. Every insect hit was obliterated. "ELECTRON PULSE!" He launched a rapid-fire stream of electric waves as he moved his hand. Again, every insect hit was destroyed.
He destroyed insect swarm after insect swarm, but more kept coming. At one point, he stopped attacking and waited until a huge insect swarm accumilated. Every insect digimon used its strongest attack at the same time. But SupremeKabuterimon just raised his arm above his head. "ELECTRON SHIELD!" An electric barrier formed around him. He knew he didn't need to protect himself-he wouldn't even have been able to feel the blast-but he wantet to try out his shield ability.
After the attacks hit the shield-doing nothing, of course-SupremeKabuterimon dropped it and used his last and most powerful attack. "SUPREME ELECTRO DESTROYER!" He held out his arm, and massive lightning bolts shot out from his hand. Every insect Digimon was hit, and every one was instantly obliterated. SupremeKabuterimon loaded all of the data.
"INCREDIBLE! NOT EVEN THE MIGHTEY SOVERIGN COULD HOPE TO SURVIVE ONE HIT FROM ME! THE ENTIRE DIGITAL WORLD WIL BOW DOWN BEFORE ME!"
SupremeKabuterimon turned back toward the Tamers. They had made him angry, and he would destroy them for it. But he got a suprise. When he faced them, Terriermon was glowing. Sparks were flying from him. The Tamers had all backed away, and it wasn't hard to see why. The sparks exploded when they touched anything. Some landed on Terriermon, but he appeared to be immune to the effects of the explosions.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" SupremeKabuterimon thundered. "TELL ME NOW!"
"Why don't I show you instead," Terriermon replied. The sparks stopped appearing, and Terriermon's glow intensified. "Juggernaut Force!" Terriermon stopped glowing, and an immense storm of the Juggernaut energy flew from Terriermon to SupremeKabuterimon in the form of lightning bolts. SupremeKabuterimon was invelopped in the energy, which surrounded him before it dissapeared. When it did, a Pabumon was all that remained of the former Hive Lord.
Terriermon managed to walk bact to Henry before he fainted. Jeri saw henry's facw and said, "Don't worry, Henry. He'll be fine. He just has to rest. He used a lot of energy to do what he just did."

Pabumon stared in disgust as the Tamers walked away. He couldn't understand how he was defeated. He was about to follow and try and find out when a screen-like view of another dimension appeared in front of him. A Digimon was visible through it.
"Who... who are you?" Pabumon asked.
"I am Milenniummon," the Digimon replied. "I am the one who increased your power,but I didn't know about the ability that the Terriermon had. I can give you the power I did before, but you must destroy the Tamers for me first. I will give you enough power to do so, and the rest when you do it. The Terriermon is weak now, so it can't use the ability on you. Do you accept?"
Pabumon was ecstatic. He could have all that power again! "Of course I accept! I'll do it!"
"Good. I now give you the power you need." A stream of digital energy-the data from some of Milenniummon's former underlings-flowed into Pabumon. He glowed, then digivolved until he was once again SupremeKabuterimon. The power increase over the previous form's power was normal for a digivolution, but still very large.
"I will go now," SupremeKabuterimon said. The dimensional veiw dissapeared, and SupremeKabuterimon flew off after the Tamers.

Excellent, Milenniummon thought. [i]He doesn't even suspect that once he's done, I'll withdraw the energy I just gave him and leave him as a Pabumon. He'll destroy the Tamers, and I'll be unopposed when I return to rule![/i]

Note: For those of you who object to me having HerculeseKabuterimon digivolve: Not having him digivolve would change nothing. Digimon can change form without digivolving under the right surcmstances. This happened in S1. When enough Black Gears entered Leomon, he changed without digivolving. The same thing happened to Devimon, but he also used Ogermon to increase his power. I just find a digivolution eaisier to work with, so I used one.

I could have done the exact same thing without using a fanmade. A few minor changes and he's still be HerculeseKabuterimon. Not having him digivolve would change nothing. I just find a digivolution easier to work with. If there are more objections, I'll change it so that he doesn't digivolve, but that will change nothing except a few words.

The Tamers were again walking along, looking for the Devas. Henry was carrying Terriermon. None of them had any idea which way to go, except maybe Jeri. she had chosen a direction, and they all went that way.
Henry was thinking about what had just happened. For once, he wasn't worrying about Juggernaut. He was actually wondering about Jeri. Ever since Jeri had sat on the Morpheus Throne during the battle with Metamormon, she had been different. She was acting like a whole different person.
When Henry said this, Jeri tried her best to explain what had happened. "It's like... I don't know. Everything was clear to me when I sat on that chair. It was like there wasn't anything I couldn't do. You said I was a whole different person, and I think I am. Before, I would never have told you to use Juggernaut, but now... I just don't know."
"Um, Jeri," Henry said, confused, "I never said that you were a whole different person."
"You did, actually. Right before you turned to me and asked what happened."
"I said that out loud?"
"I didn't hear him say that," Rika said. "Are you sure you heard it?"
"I didn't say that," Henry stated again, "But I thought it."
This statement produced a chorus of confused "What?"s. "Are you suggesting that she read your mind?" Kazu asked. "Get serious here. There's no way that's possible."
But Jeri wasn't convinced. "It might be what happened," she said. "When I sat ot the Morpheus Throne, it wasn't only my attitude and beliefs that changed. I've been able to sense things. I can feel the Devas somehow. I could feel the energy flow into HerculeseKabuterimon back there. I think I actually did hear what he was thinking. I don't know how, but it's the only explination I have. This is the first time it happened, and I'm not sure I like it. I don't think I want to be able to read minds."
Before anyone could respond, she let loose with quite a few swear words. Everyone was so shocked that they all took a step or two back. Henry was the first to recover enough to speak. "What? What is it?"
"It's him," was the reply. "When we left, the former Hive Lord was a Pabumon. He isn't anymore. He's coming our way, and he's mad. He seems to have returned to the form of SupremeKabuterimon again, but I don't know how."
Now it was everyone else's turn to swear. Jeri waited for them to finish, then continued. "It's not as bad as it was last time. When he digivolved to HerculeseKabuterimon, he had only the power that is normal for that form. When he digivolved again, he only had the standard ratio of power increase for a digivolution. He's still very strong, but it's manageble this time."
"Um, Jeri, Terriermon's still unconcious," Henry pointed out.
"It doesn't matter," Jeri said calmly. "Takato, it's your turn this time. You're the one who has to fight."
"Me? What can I do?"
"You are the only one who has the strength to defeat him. You know what you need to do, but you just haven't realized it yet."
Takato was about to protest but couldn't, because at that moment there was a loud buzzing noise behind them. SupremeKabuterimon was closing in.

After Milenniummon's veiw portal had dissapeared, SupremeKabuterimon had flown as fast as he could to catch up with the Tamers. He knew that there was nothing they could do to stop him, even though he wasn't nearly as strong as he was when they defeated him. The one who defeated him was currently unable to do anything, which meant that he would have an easy time.
What he didn't expect was what he saw when he arrived. He thought that the Tamers would try and escape. They weren't. They were standing there, waiting for him. When he appeared, Jeri spoke.
"I don't know how you can be here," she said, "but you should leave now. You're only endangering yourself."
"YOU CAN'T FOOL ME! I KNOW THAT THE TERRIERMON IS UNABLE TO FIGHT!"
"True," Jeri responded, "but there are others of us who can fight."
Takato was still unsure of how he could win, but he knew how he could at least fight. "Biomerge activate!"

Guilmon biomerge to: Gallantmon

"I'M NOT IMPRESSED," SupremeKabuterimon said. "WHY DON'T I JJUST END THIS NOW?" Before Gallantmon could react, SupremeKabuterimon reached out and grabbed him, flew up into the sky as high as he could possibly go, and released Gallantmon.
As Gallantmon fell, Takato could only think that Grani was all that could save him. Unfortunately, Grani had died during the battle inside the D-Reaper when it gave the last of it's energy to Gallantmon.
Suddenly, Takato had it. he exclaimed to Guilmon.
Guilmon asked. At that moment, Gallantmon began to glow.


Gallantmon mode-change to: Crimson Mode(Note: Gallantmon Crimson Mode will be referred to as GCM)

GCM halted his decent just in time, and waited for SupremeKabuterimon to decend. As he did, he turned to Jeri, who just smiled and said, "I told you that you could do it. Good job."
There wasn't any more time to talk, because at that moment SupremeKabuterimon appeared. He had seen Gallantmon's transformation and knew that he would have to fight. However, he was confident that he would win.
SupremeKabuterimon made the first attack. "ELECTRO BURST!" GCM flew over it and dove at him. "Crimson Strike!" GCM's weapon began to glow as he powered it up. He sruck SupremeKabuterimon with it, causing him to scream in pain.
"YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT! ELECTRON PULSE!" GCM did his best to dodge the waves of electricity, and he almost did it. Unfortunately, the last wave connected, knocking him back a few feet.
"My turn! Crimson Stream!" GCM fired an energy stream from his weapon. SupremeKabuterimon tried to dodge it, but he was unable to move himself out of the way in time. He was hit, but only in the leg.
"IS THAT ALL YOU'VE GOT?"
"Actually, no. Here's another one! Crimson Wave!" GCM held out his hand, and an energy wave shot out of it. Again, SupremeKabuterimon's size made it impossible to dodge the attack. Unfortunately, he didn't try to. Instead, he launched his own attack.
"ELECTRON SHOCKWAVE!" The two attacks met in midair, causing a large explosion. SupremeKabuterimon took the oppertunity to launch another attack. "ELECTRO BURST!" GCM didn't see the attack untill it was too late. He was hit, and hit quite hard.
"SEE? YOUR EFFORTS GOT YOU NOTHING! NOW YOU WILL BE DESTROYED!" But as the somke cleared, SupremeKabuterimon saw that he was wrong. GCM, although a little battered, was still in the fight.
"I'm not done yet! Crimson Wave!" GCM's attack would have hit SupremeKabuterimon head on, but SupremeKabuterimon blocked it with the Electron Sheild.
"THERE'S NO POINT TO THIS FIGHT! IT'S JUST A WASTE OF MY TIME! PREPARE TO BE DESTROYED! SUPREME ELECTRO DESTROYER!" The force of the blast sent GCM into the ground, kicking up a large cloud of dust.
SupremeKabuterimon landed and turned to the others. "NOW TO GET RID OF THE REST OF YOU!"
Jeri once again took the role of speaker. "I wouldn't be so sure about that if I were you."
"YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING TO STOP ME!"
"You know what? You're right. We can't. But you might want to turn around."
"YOU CAN'T FOOL ME!"
Just then, a voice from behind him said, "I wouldn't be so sure about that." SupremeKabuterimon turned around to see GCM floating in front of him. "Crimson Blast!" GCM fired a large energy blast from his weapon. SupremeKabuterimon was so startled by GCM being there that he couldn't react to the attack in time. He was hit square in the face, which proved to be more than he could handle. He dissipated into data.
GCM landed and seperated into Takato and Guilmon. "Good job," Jeri said. "Good job." There was a pause, and then she said, "Incoming data stream! And a fast one, too!"
They all started running, but the data stream appeared almost immedeately. Jeri, Takato, Henry, and their Digimon partners were hit by it, and they were carried off to another part of the Digital world.

This isn't too good, but at least it's something. I [i]am[/i] going somewhere with this, really!

Caturamon watched from a rooftop as the humans ran around like mice. After debating with himself for a moment, he?d concluded that it would be easier to spread the illusion of the Phoenixmon invasion over all the humans obvering from the ground, thus causing them to actually run around and scream, rather than projecting Phoenixmon [i]and[/i] running, screaming humans into the minds of the Hypnos agents. [i]Decisions, decisions,[/i] Caturamon thought.

Caturamon laughed. He had long wondered what his teammates had so loved about terrorizing humans. Now, knowing what it felt like to know that hundreds of the people who had caused his people to spend their lives running from data streams were running in terror and fearing for their very lives all because of him, him! that he wielded such power over those he?d once feared, he wished he could stick around a bit longer.

[i]And that?s why Sandiramon, Indramon, and Majiramon are no longer with us,[/i] Caturamon?s more rational side reminded him.

Caturamon caused one Phoenixmon to fly low over a street, and simulated flames consuming cars, people, anything in their path. The Hypnos cars whipped hither and thither as Yuggoth pistols were fired wildly into the air.

?That?s it, Caturamon,? Janyuu?s voice said in his mind. ?We?re almost to Hypnos. Time to come back.?

?On my way,? Caturamon answered. He had the Phoenixmon fly towards each other and merge, spreading, their yellow flames turning red, until they formed a gigantic red bird that seemed to go on forever, filling the sky for more than a mile from head to talon, and even more from wing to wing. The panic on the streets went to an all-new high, everone on the street certain that their deaths were at hand, that all would now be consumed by flame. Caturamon saluted the flaming bird with one paw. ?Soon, Lord Zhuqiaomon. Soon we will return to you,? Caturamon promised. He dispelled the illusion and teleported away, leaving hundreds of confused humans behind.

?Wow,? Akazumi said, staring at the lights show?s end. ?Where?d they, it, whatever... go??

?Nowhere I?m following,? Shimoyama said.

Yamaki looked around suddenly. Aside from the damage caused by the terrified humans, the area around them was untouched. No fires, no cars stuck half-in and half-out of buildings. One by one, the people around them were beginning to return to their senses, find whoever they?d been with, and, if they hadn?t wrecked their cars in the melee, hasten out of the area. [i]It wasn?t real.[/i] The wheels in his mind started turning. He tapped his headset. ?Nanashi? Come in, Nanashi.? There was nothing but static. ?No,? Yamaki whispered.

?Sir?? Sato asked.

?We have to get back to Hypnos, now. Yesterday a Digimon projected an illusion to rescue one we?d captured. He or one like him must have done this to get us away.?

?Could you reach Hypnos?? Shimoyama asked.

?Nothing but static. Be ready for anything when we get back there.?

The caravan was ten minutes away from Hypnos. It was the tensest moment of any of their lives, especially for the extradimensional Ryo and Alice and those around them, for whom the situation became more complicated by the second. The portal Alice came through didn?t work as a two-way door. The Overlord?s world was the center, and though a traveler could go from it to another world and back at will, going from a second world, in this case, Alice?s, to a different one was a one-way trip. Of course, Pururumon didn?t have to know that. There?d be hell to pay when Pururumon got his Zhuqiaomon powers back, though.

?Well, hewe comes the moment we?ve all been waiting fow,? Shaochung said, tossing an arm around Ryo 1. ?How?s it feel??

Ryo 1 blushed at being touched by Shaochung. Once he?d gotten used to the way she talked, it was easy to forget who she corresponded to a world away. ?Just hoping we can restore Zhuqiaomon, and put a stop to Millenniumon this time. Then, onto some other bad guy. A Legendary Tamer?s job is never done.?

?And you wouldn?t have it any othew way,? Shaochung said knowingly. ?You?we not that diffewent fwom my Wyo.?

?Hey, take that back!? Ryo 2 laughed. Ryo 1 took a good-natured swing at his twin, who was sitting directly behind him.

?[i]Suzie?[/i]? Alice 1, the fourth passenger said. ?I thought you were familiar... but you can?t be... where?s Lopmon??

?Who?? Shaochung said, puzzled.

?Lopmon?s Antiramon?s Rookie form, at least where we?re from,? Ryo 1 explained. ?When she joined the Tamers, Zhuqiaomon turned her into pretty much Terriermon?s twin.?

??She???

?Yours is a ?he??? Alice said.

?Yeah,? Shaochung said. ?He?s somewhewe awound. He and Pajiwamon wun anothew undewgwound like this one. He?ll be along with the west of them.?

?It must be hard, not getting to be around your partner much,? Ryo 2 said. ?I don?t know what I?d do if I could only see Monondramon a few times a week or something.?

?He wouldn?t last that long, without me to keep him out of trouble,? Monodramon piped up.

?Quiet, you,? Ryo 2 said. Monodramon stuck out his tongue.

[i]Ain?t it the truth,[/i] Shaochung thought. ?It?s not that bad, though I do envy you guys who get to have such a close welationship. But I?m just glad I got to know Antiwamon at all.?

?Hopmon, you?re quiet,? Ryo 1 said. ?That?s not like you.?

?I know. I?m just thinking about... him.?

?Cyberdramon,? Ryo 1 said gravely. ?If you don?t want to do this, I promise I?ll keep you out of the line of fire.?

?I have to,? Hopmon said. ?It wouldn?t be right to sit somewhere safe while they?re in a war zone. If I fight the D-hulks, I... I think it?ll be mostly out of my system and I don?t think I?ll hurt anyone.?

?We?ll find a way to help you,? Ryo 1 said.

Hopmon didn?t say anything. [i]Hijack Hypnos, cross dimensions, fix Zhuqiaomon, stop Millenniumon, take care of whatever Alice is talking about...[/i] he hadn?t missed the fact that her prophecy or whatever it was said foes, plural... [i]and fix the Cyberdramon thing... this list keeps getting longer and I?m at the bottom.[/i] He knew he was just feeling sorry for himself. [i]Yeah, well, I get to![/i]

?Listen up!? came Janyuu?s voice over the radio unit installed in each of the cars. ?The Hybrids, Ultimates, and Megas go first. Once Arukenimon has taken care of the control spires, everyone with a Tamer will digivolve and join the battle. Work out the strongest card combinations on the way, because those D-Hulks are Mega-strength. Then Arukenimon?s Control Spire Digimon will make up the third wave. We need an interior team at each entrance to keep Hypnos? attention divided. Dolphin and Kenta must be protected at all costs, we need them for the Digital Zone to work.?

?Kenta?? Alice said. While she knew he was smarter than many gave him credit for being, if Kenta?s scientific knowledge was vital to this mission, she figured this world was in serious trouble.

?Yeah,? Ryo 1 answered. ?He?s some kind of super genius here, right up there with the original creators of Digimon.?

?This guy?s beyond genius,? Ryo 2 said. ?Anyway, we?re almost there. Hey, Alice, do you have a Digimon form like our Alice??

?I do, but I don?t like to use it.? Alice summed up the story of Dobermon, the Reaver, and the Overlord. ?Since I?ve fed recently, I should be okay.?

?I hope so,? Shaochung said. ?We need all the help that we can get, but if doing this is going to tuwn you into some kind of monstew, I don?t think we should ask you to.?

?I can handle it.?

?Handle in a hurry,? Ryo 2 said. ?We?re almost there.?

?Unauthorized vehicles approaching,? Trang said.

Nanashi was working feverishly at his workstation, looking almost frantic. He paid Trang no mind.

?Don?t you hear me? There are several large vans headed here. They?re not ours, and nothing in our schedule indicates this kind of visit.?

?I know that,? Nanashi said. ?But I discovered a bug in the system that...?

?There?s always a bug in the system, especially when you?re around. Let?s go.?

?I don?t think so,? Nanashi said. He wondered what it was that turned himself and Trang into five-year-olds whenever in each other?s presence. There?d been plenty of people he didn?t get along with, but this was ridiculous. [i]What?s next, am I going to stick my fingers in my ears and yell ?La, la, I can?t hear you!? Yeah, ol? Yamaki would love to see that. And why does stuff like this always come to me at times like this?[/i] Nanashi cleared the nonsense from his head and said, ?I still have a few more things to do.?

?As of now, you don?t,? a voice said from below. The two agents looked down to see Yamaki. ?The Digimon sent us on a wild goose chase.

Trang nodded absently... and then a light came into her eyes. She swiveled her workstation until it was next to Nanashi?s. ?Surprise, surprise.?

?What? Look, I?m busy, so if you...?

?There?s always some kind of bug you have to fix, one more thing that needs to be tweaked, one last thing that you?ve got to do. What are you [i]really[/i] doing??

?Wouldn?t that be so convenient,? Nanashi growled. ?Nanashi gets dismissed for conducting illegal activity, and Trang gets to ascend to his position. You could at least try for something a little more imaginative.?

Trang began to walk away, looking defeated.

And then she slammed her elbow into Nanashi?s chin, dropping him, and looked at his screen. To the layman?s eye, it was meaningless numbers, but Trang, like all Hypnos operators, could read code as easily as she could read ?See Spot run.? [i]If he?s fixing bugs, I?m a Raremon?s grandmother.[/i]

Soon, another Wild One alert sounded. Trang picked up the phone that was connected to the intercom. ?No one is to respond to that signal. Recall the teams chasing Wild Ones, and everyone who can, get a weapon and get to the front of the... aaah!?

Nanashi shoved Trang away from his terminal, and quickly turned it off. While he did so, Trang had the opportunity to draw her sidearm and point it at his head. ?You didn?t want to tell Yamaki the D-Hulks were done, and the sudden influx of Wild Ones happened since you took over this station. You tampered with the systems, didn?t you??

?I don?t know what you?re smoking, but put the gun down, all right??

?What?s about to happen?? Trang demanded. ?What are you preparing for??

?Let?s put the gun down, get away from the sensitive computer equipment, and talk like rational human beings, all right??

?Don?t screw with me, Nanashi. You?re no Hypnos operator. So who are you??

Nanashi suddenly became calm. A chill ran down Trang?s spine at the instant transition. Trang suddenly had the feeling that whatever was about to happen, she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

?Just someone who wants to save his people.?

Trang fired at what she now knew to be a Digimon. She fired again and again. Nanashi rolled his eyes and lifted her off the ground by the throat. Trang?s expression was one Nanashi was familiar with: she was terrified for her life but refusing to beg.

?Human and Digimon are not that different,? Nanashi said. ?Both are stubborn, and will not back down. We mean you no harm... well, after your treatment of us, a [i]lot[/i] of us mean you harm, but that?s not why we?re here today. We plan to get home. You have the means to get us there. We will use those means. End of story. How much harm befalls your people depends on how many of them you stupidly throw at us.?

?You...?

?Shut up.? Nanashi struck Trang?s head against the railing, hard enough to knock her out but not to do serious damage. He lay her down on the floor, and held his hand over her. His hand melted and reformed into a large, white talon with an eye in the center. ?Laser Translation,? he said. A beam of light from the eye scanned over Trang, and then the eye closed.

Ribbonlike streams of data wrapped around him, and when they were gone, another Trang stood in Nanashi?s place.

[i]Graceful as humans go,[/i] Nanashi thought, analyzing his new form. [i]Very energetic. It?s all I can do not to try a couple of cartwheels right here. Maybe that?s why she?s so argumentative, one way of getting rid of this excess energy while sitting at desks or terminals all day.[/i]

Most Metamormon didn?t bother to appreciate and savor each new form as Nanashi did. He wished he had time to really experience being Trang, but that would have to wait.

?You?re okay, Trang,? Nanashi said. ?I still hate your guts, but you?re okay.?

Now, down to business. Nanashi knew that Yamaki and company would be on their way back any time soon. Time to do as much damage as he could to prolong the confusion as much as possible. He transformed into a MetalKabuterimon he?d scanned once. The weight bore down the workstation, bending and eventually breaking the supports and dropping the tank Digimon onto the ground. ?Bolo Thunder!?

The dose of electricity fried most of the equipment on contact, and Nanashi transformed back into his standard human form. He rumpled up his hair and clothes, trying to look as disheveled as possible. Guards came running in a moment later. ?Sir, what?s...?

?See to Trang,? Nanashi said, sounding concerned. Two men went to the inoperable controls to try to bring Trang?s workstation down.

?A computer malfunction,? Nanashi explained. ?Sending false signals. We don?t know which are real and which weren?t.? He knew that if he contradicted Trang directly, it would be immediately obvious that something was up with either Trang or himself. So, he pulled the old standby of computer error, and hopefully letting everyone think that at least some of the invading Digimon were the genuine article. [i]Sure, they?ll buy that,[/i] he told himself sarcastically.

?Stand down,? said the lead Hypnos agent over a loudspeaker. ?This is your last warning.?

It was time for the main event. One side, car after car of Hypnos agents, each with his or her Yuggoth pistol drawn as they took cover behind the doors. On the other, resistance humans and Digimon. Unfortunately, to fit all the Digimon, most of them had to be Downgraded to Rookie if not In-Training, making the timing even more crucial. There were only a few Digimon capable of meeting a D-Hulk onslaught, so Arukenimon had to get rid of the control spires in a hurry.

However, the Hypnos agents didn?t have to know about that. Volcamon pulled out his microphone, and rap music from nowhere started up the moment he opened his mouth. ?You know you?re outgunned, you know you?re out numbered. Out of our way or we?ll tear you asunder!?

?That stinks, and it didn?t even rhyme, you second-rate wannabe!? the Etemon that had been in the car with him said.

?Oh, shut up, you Elvis-impersonating has-been,? Volcamon growled. To the Hypnos leader, he said ?We just need to...? he cleared his throat and tried to sound businesslike, ?borrow your equipment for a moment.?

?Surrender now and we promise the humans will be allowed to live,? the agent said. ?Stand down now, or...?

?Why are we even bothering with this?? Makuramon said. ?By Baihumon?s mane, let?s just get this over with! Primal Orb!? The lead car became encased in a translucent energy sphere, and flew apart into each of its components. ?Think fast!? he shouted, flinging the parts at the nearest car. The people crouched behind it ran from the car seconds before it was crushed.

?Magma Bass!? Volcamon shouted. The ground moved like water under the sonic assault, and anyone unfortunate enough to be standing in its path was sent flying. Cars and people became rag dolls.

The Hypnos officers weren?t cowed, and began firing their Yuggoth pistols. Volcamon and Makuramon ducked. Other Digimon joined the action, and other officers began firing. The transition from standoff to total war zone was complete in a matter of moments.

?[i]Maka![/i]? Makuramon grunted in frustration. ?Where?s Arukenimon when you need her?!?

?She will be along,? Caturamon said calmly. ?For now, let?s concentrate on clearing the way.? Caturamon leapt on top of a car. ?Howl of the Heavens!? Hypnos agents leapt away from the line of fire as more cars went flying. They returned fire. Caturamon leapt from the car seconds before it became a fireball.

?If we don?t have help by the time the D-Hulks and the agents we tricked show up, we?re done for already!?

?We gotta go wit? what we got,? an Arbormon said. ?Don?t worry, little monkey, we?ll get through ?em. Fortune favors the bold, right?? Arbormon?s limbs extended on their strings, wrapping around one agent and pulling him close after shaking the Yuggoth pistol away from him. The wooden machine Digimon used the agent as a shield as his extendable limbs reached out to pound other agents. ?Now dis is more like it! C?mon, dance for us!?

A blast from a Yuggoth pistol zipped past Arbormon and struck one of the cars. Electricity crackled around it. Makuramon bounced from car to car, drawing fire from a hundred agents. ?Whoa, that was close. Primal Orb!? His sphere encased three more cars, and he used them as a shield and battering ram, beginning to clear the path to Hypnos.

?Somehow I didn?t expect it to be this easy,? Ryo 1 said. ?Those agents are barely staying alive, much less stopping us.?

?Well, don?t let your guard down just yet,? Ryo 2 said. ?Hypnos isn?t known for coming unprepared.?

?You can?t reach anyone, either??

?No,? Yamaki said. By pure happenstance, a Hypnos helicopter, no doubt on the same wild goose chase as his team, had flown overhead and Yamaki had been able to wave them down. Now they had an express ride back to Hypnos, where he had no doubt the ungodly creatures were up to no good. ?Why are you out here??

The pilot, a man named Noguchi, answered. ?We were sent after the signal of a Wild One. They?d started coming through like it was going out of style, it?s strange. Sir, do you know anything??

Yamaki nodded. ?As I suspected.?

?Sir??

?Listen carefully. A Digimon known to us as Caturamon has the power to create illusions. The influx of Wild Ones is false, part of an elaborate deception to get the most capable agents away from Hypnos. We can?t communicate with Hypnos, so we have no way to ascertain the situation. But we do know that something major is playing out as we speak. And we?re about to head into the thick of it.?

?Understood,? Noguchi said.

And the helicopter was underway again, the Hypnos agents packed in tightly.

Jeri was the first to wake up. She sat up and looked around. She was in a large underground chamber with only one exit, which was at the north end. She couldn't make out any details, becaust the only light was that produced by Lucemon, but she thought that the walls of the chamber looked strange. She got up to take a look.
As she was walking over, she tripped over something and fell to the ground. She sat up and looked at what she had tripped over. It also sat up. It looked around, and then it spotted her. "Jeri?"
"Henry? Is that you?"
"Yes, it's me," he replied. "Where are we?"
"I don't know."
"Is anyone else here?" he asked.
"I can see Terriermon by you, and Lucemon's over there. He's the only light source in here. I can also see Takato and Guilmon near him. I think that's it."
"What happened?"
"We got caught in a data stream, and we ended up here. I don't know where everyone else is, but they're certainly nowhere near here."
"What should we do?"
"They'll likely keep looking for the Devas. We should, too. Even if we don't run into them, the Devas can probably help us find them." She paused, then said, "We've got incoming. A bunch of Drimogemon. I make it eight. They're heading our way."
"What do we do?" Henry asked. "The Digimon are still out."
At that moment, Lucemon landed in front of them. "I'm not," he said. "I'll take care of it."
"No," Henry protested. "I don't think you should. You're an easy target in here. The Drimogemon aren't. Besides, they're champions. You're a rookie with strength around that of an ultimate. You could probably take three or four of them, but not eight. Besides, they may not be hostile."
"They're hostile," Jeri replied. "I can tell. See, the Drimogemon are corrupted by some sort of dark energy, which I can sense. It makes them loyal to whoever did it to them, but it also gives them a weakness: holy energy. The darkness inside them is quite vulnerable to Holy Digimon, like Lucemon. He should be able to rid them of it quite easily, after which they will certainly not harm us."
"Why not?" Henry wanted to know.
"Because they'll remember everything they did while corrupted. They'll know that we saved them. Normally, you don't attack someone who's just given you your will back."
"Oh," was Henry's only reply. It was also all that he had time for, as the Drimogemon broke through the south wall and into the chamber.
Again, Jeri took the role of speaker. "We have nothing against you," she said. "What do you have against us?"
"We have nothing against you. Our boss does. He sent us to get rid of you."
"But how did he know... wait. Your boss caused the data stream. He used it to seperate us from the others, and brought us here with it."
"Not specifically you, but the plan was to seperate the group, like you guessed. But it was our boss's boss who did it. And we weren't sent to destroy you. We're here as vessels. Our boss is using us to bring him to you. Now that we're here, we are no longer needed as vessels. Instead, he will use our data to become stronger."
"My god," Jeri exclaimed. "Who would do something like that?"
"I would," a deep voice said. It had no apparent source, but Jeri could feel that source.
"He's here," she said. "And he's ready for us."
"Who?" Henry asked.
At that point, a black stream emerged from each Drimogemon, and the streams converged. Then, all eight Drimogemon became data. The data flowed to the same point, and a Digimon formed.
"So, you show yourself," Jeri said. "I should have known that it was you. Only someone like you could do what you did. And I have a problem with those who do things like that. You'll pay for that, VenomMyotismon. You'll pay."

Milleniummon was again pleased. His plan was working perfectly, and this time, he couldn't see any way that his chosen servent, VenomMyotismon, would lose.But if there was one thing he had learned, it was that the Tamers and their Digimon partners had a knack for finding a way to survive. This time, he was leaving nothing to chance.

"You think you can do anything?" VenomMyotismon said. "The only Digimon able to fight right now is a pathetic little Lucemon. There's nothing you can do. Why not just give up now?"
"Never," Jeri said. "And you're wrong. We can do something against you. It's called fight."
"Very well. This should be quite entertaining."
"Entertain this!" Jeri exclaimed. She then began to glow.
"Jeri, what's going on?" Herny asked, extremely confused.
"I'm taking this evil thing down," she replied. Again, Henry was shocked to hear her talk like that. He supposed he'd get used to it eventually, but it was sure strange now.
By this time, Takato and the other two Digimon were awake. All three were watching Jeri, also bewildered. Ever since she had sat on the Morpheus Throne, she had changed. She had previously demonstrated abnormal abilities, but this was something new.
Little did they know that this wasn't just Jeri's doing. She had found something after the Morpheus Throne broke. Until now, she hadn't known what it was, but she had just learned: it was some kind of data, but not the normal variety. It had entered her digivice when she had found it, and it was activating. She was becomming a Digimon: Ophanimon.

"Okay," Henry said, "that is weird"
"Impossible's more like it," Takato replied.
"Certianly not normal. How'd she do that?"
"I have absolutely no clue."
What they were discussing is Jeri's transformation into the Digimon Ophanimon. They had never seen anything like it. The closest thing they knew of was biomerging, but they thought that was the closest one could get to being a Digimon. Obviously, they were wrong.
Ophanimon rose on her ten wings and faced VenomMyotismon. "There is no room in this world for such as you!" she exclaimed. "Your evil, along with the evil of others, has tainted this world! I will rid this world of your evil once and for all!"
"Big talk," VenomMyotismon replied. "Let's see you back it up."
"With pleasure. Eden's Javlen!" Ophanimon fired a bright beam of light at VenomMyotismon. When it it, he was temporarily paralyzed, allowing Ophanimon to eaisily get another hit in, and another, and another. In fact, he didn't even put up a a fight.

Not even Milleniummon had thought it possible for a human to become a Digimon, and so he hadn't bothered to take precautions against it. He knew that VenomMyotismon would lose, and there was nothing he could do about it. But he didn't care. VenomMyotismon was expendable. Losing him didn't matter. Besides, Milleniummon already had a new plan.
Jeri's transformation into a Digimon had supprised him, but he now knew it was possible. He even had an idea of how it was done. Now he just needed someone to do it to. Someone the Tamers wouldn't destroy. Someone who he would use to get rid of them once and for all.

The Monster Maker team was hard at work trying to locate the Tamers, but they weren't having much luck. Shibumi had provided specifications for the D-Powers, and they were using those to try and find them.
Janyu was about to try a new section of the digital world when something caught his attention: a black dot had appeared in the center of his computer screen. Suddenly, a stream of black energy shot out of it and entered him. It stopped after a couple seconds, at which time the entire screen turned black. A portal opened, and he was sucked through. The portal closed behind him.

After VenomMyotismon was defeated, Jeri, Takato, Henry, Lucemon, Guilmon, and Terriermon had walked through the tunnel the Drimogemon made, and eventually reached the surface. When they did, Henry turned to Jeri. "What happened back there?" he asked.
"I'm not quite sure," she responded. "I just-"
"What's that?" Takato interrupted. The others looked where he pointed, and were equally confused. What they saw was a distorted area ahead of them. As they watched, the distortion dissapeared, and a human figure appeared in its place. Henry was the first to recognize him. "Dad? What are you doing here?"
"I don't think he'll awnser," Jeri said, "but I will. He's been corrupted. I can feel it."
"Correct," Janyu responded. His voice was even, never varying in tone or speed or even volume. "You have become too much of a problem and must be eliminated." With that, he began to glow black, and underwent a transformation.
"Oh, ****!" Jeri exclaimed. "We've got a problem."

"It seems like this is targeted at you, Henry," Jeri said.
"You just noticed?" Henry snaped.
"No, but there's more than you know," Jeri responded. "I can tell what's happening. Like me, he recieved the data of a Digimon, and is somehow becomming that Digimon. The Digimon is Cherubimon, a very powerful virus Digimon and a possible mega form of Lopmon."
Henry's response was exactly what Jeri predicted: "[i]What?![/i]"
"Don't worry, Herny. I don't think Suzie's partner will reach that form. It sems to require something other than a standard digivolution. My guess is that it involves some form of corruption, as Cherubimon is, well, not a very nice Digimon."
Henry decided to focus on the problem at hand, rather then a possibillity that they had no reason to worry about at the current moment. "So what do we do?" he asked. "We can't fight him, and-"
"Actually," Jeri interrupted, "fighting him is exactly what I have in mind. If we do enough damage, the data will become unstable, and he will return to human form. Also, it's likely that this will get rid of the corruption within him."
At this time, Janyu's transformation into Cherubimon was compleated. "Correct," he said. "However, that will only work as I am now. My master knows that you can easily defeat me right now, but not for long. He has extra data he's collected from... various sources, and has no use for it. He plans to send this data to me, which will make it child's play to defeat you."
Suddenly, a black rift appeared in the sky above him, and a dark stream of energy emerged from it. The stream entered Cherubimon's forhead, and he started glowing black.
"This is [i]not[/i] good," Takato commented needlessly.
"What should we do now?" Henry asked.
"I have a plan," Jeri replied. "Listen closely, because there's no room for mistakes. And don't worry. He can't hear us right now."

"You want me do do [i]what[/i]?!" Henry exclaimed after Jeri had finished explaining the plan. "That's suicide!"
"The only other option is Juggernaut," Jeri said. "Which would you prefer?"
"Okay, fine, I'll do it. Just make sure you catch me."
"Don't worry, Henry. I won't let you hit the ground," Takato assured him.
At this time, the rift closed and the black energy stream dissapeared. Suddenly, Cherubimon was enveloped in dark energy. When it faded, he was standing there, same as before. The only differance was that he was [i]much[/i] larger.
"That was unexpected," Jeri said, "but it won't matter. It was a change in appearance only. Let's do it." With that, she transformed into Ophanimon, and Takato and Henry biomerged with their Digimon

Gallantmon mode-change to: Crimson Mode

"Do whatever you like," Cherubimon said. "It will make no difference."

Again, Milleniummon was pleased. His plan was working perfectly. The Tamers he had targeted would not be able to defeat Cherubimon without using Juggernaut, and there was no way Henry would use Juggernaut on his father. And even if they did find another way to defeat Cherubimon, they wouldn't do it, because it would put Janyu at risk. This time, they wouldn't survive.

"Let's do this," Ophanimon said. "We need to give Henry a chance to hit his mark."
"I'll go in from the front," GCM told her. "You circle around behind."
"Understood," she replied, and that's what they did. "Crimson Blast!" GCM fired the energy blast right at Cherubimon's face, but he didn't try to dodge. Instead, he just stood there and took the hit. GCM attacked over and over again, and each blast hit.
"Take that!" GCM exclaimed. But when the smoke cleared, Cherubimon was unharmed.
"Fool!" he said. "You can't do anything against me! And I can easily defeat you! Lightning Blast!" A very large lightning-shaped energy blast formed in his hand, and he threw it at GCM, who dodged it. The blast hit the ground behind him, forming a large crater.
Cherubimon therw Lightning Blast after Lightning Blast, but GCM somehow managed to dodge them all.
"Enough!" Cherubimon bellowed. "Time to end this! Terminal Judgement!" A large number of lightning blasts were fired at GCM, who did his best to dodge. He wasn't completely successful, however; one of the blasts connected with his leg.
"Give up," Cherubimon said. "You can't do anything against me!"
"Maybe not," Ophanimon said from behind him, "but I can. Eden's Javelen!" Her attack connected, and although it didn't do any damage, the temporary paralyzing effect still worked.

While Ophanimon and GCM were fighting Cherubimon, MegaGargomon was in the sky, looking for his chance. When Ophanimon paralyzed Cherubimon, MegaGargomon dove down toward him. When he was about 500 feet above Cherubimon, MegaGargomon seperated into Henry and Terriermon. Terriermon's large ears allowed him to float slowly down. Henry, however, was in a freefall.
As he fell, Henry held his D-Power in front of him. At a disance of about 200 feet above Cherubimon, a beam of white energy shot out of it and entered Cherubimon in the exact same place the data from Milleniummon had.
As Henry continued to fall toward Cherubimon, the Digimon's form began to fluctuate. When Henry fell into Cherubimon's head, the data Milleniummon had given Janyu dissipated, leaving Henry's father lying on the ground with Henry falling toward him fast. He was about to hit the ground when GCM caught him and set him down safely, then seperated into Takato and Guilmon. Ophanimon landed and became Jeri again.
Henry walked over to his father, but stopped when he saw a small amount of Cherubimon's data gather between the two of them. Henry was shocked when the data formed a Digimon, but that was nothing compared to the suprise he felt when he recognized the Digimon: it was Lopmon. But even that wasn't nearly as suprising as what happened next: a purple D-Power appeared in Janyu's hand.
"Okay," Henry said, extremely shocked, "that did not just happen, did it?"
"Yes it did, Henry," Jeri replied. "Janyu's a Tamer, and that Lopmon is his partner."

(I'm not gonna write anything in it unless somebody really wants me to, cuz I'm a baaaad writer and would just screw everything up.) Besides, there's a lot going on. Takuya's a good writer, but he can't finish all of it by himself! (no offense) Give him a break!

I don?t mind you writing in the story, but based on what you wrote, there are a few things you aren?t clear on.


First, the Sovereign don?t know about Devamon. The way I understand it, only the devas do, and not even all of them are aware of it.

Second, the Sovereign are not going to combine into Huanglongmon(and I can verify that Huanglongmon does indeed exist). Huanglongmon is the fifth Sovereign that some are searching for.

Third, I do not believe that there was anything mentioned about Devamon being evil in any way; in fact, the way I see it is that Suzie will be Devamon?s tamer. This makes sense, seeing as how her current partner will be part of Devamon.


I don?t like to tell people what to write or what not to write, but you really do need to fix those points. If you don?t know how you can do that, tell me and I?ll help you. The same goes if you have any other questions about the story.

Takuya, you're understanding on the story is wrong as well:

(a) There's nothing that says the sovereigns don't know of Devamon's existance. Seeing as Ebonwumon went to get the Digimental of Power to create the new sovereign, there's no guarentee that they don't know his name.

(b) Devamon is the 5th sovereign, not Huanglongmon.

(c) It's called a plot twist.

(d) Lopmon isn't a Deva any longer. Following Rule 2 'Play by the rules' a Deva qualifies as a partnerless digimon at the ultimate level. Thusly, she really can't be part of a digimon formed from a group she is no longer a part of.

(e) Also, Rule 5 'Don't try and control the story' that's currently what you're doing.

A: True, but the impression I got was that they don't. And how does knowing the fifth Sovereign's name fit into this?

B: I don't know where you got that impression. Could you plase tell me what makes you think that Devamon is the fifth sovereign?

C: Don't ever think that I can't recognize a plot twist. I have no problem with plot twists. It's when they don't fit at all that I have a problem. And having Devamon start destroying everything does not fit at all. The devas are supposed to protect the digital world. Why would they start destroying it when they combine?

D: When were the devas defined as tamerless Digimon at the Ultimate level? I am not aware that that was ever said. Besides, it was said near the beginning of the story that Lopmon is indeed still one of the devas.

E: What I said is not an attempt to control the story. I see what you did as an attempt to control the story by taking it in an entirely new direction, one that doesn't fit at all with the plot. There would be no problem if what you wrote fit with story, but it really doesn't.

Sorry, misread the original story and thought that Devamon would be the sovereign.

And um, there's no saying who will be Huanglongmon, so the sovereigns could end up like that. It'll depend on what Sara thinks (since she said only she could finish it).

Deva's were defined as partnerless digimon at the ultimate level since the term 'Deva' was introduced into the story. Besides there's one point where Lopmon is watching the Deva's and feels a bit jealous, so I also interpreted that as her not being a Deva.

I'll try something new when I feel up to it, and, since no one's posting besides us anymore, does that mean we basically control every plot line 'till the others continue posting?

I don't recall Sara saying that only she can finish the story. Even if she did, she hasn't contributed in a while, so I don't think she has the right to determine when the story ends.

As for the devas, I was never aware of the Ultimate-level tamerless Digimon rule. I know that that's how they were in the show, but I never picked up that they were always that way. And in this story, it's been stated multaplet times that that's not true. opmon's still being a deva(which has been stated in the story) is an example, and another is Caturamon in Devidramon's altranate-universe arc.

Any yes, we basically control what happens in the story, since nobody else is contributing. The only thing is that what we do must fit with what's already happened. However, this story is a little to much for just the two of us to handle. Maybe try and get the other writers to come back.
