Yeah but I don't think you can breed Ditto with Legendaries, and other pokemon, for example Golem, Typhlosion and all that. There's only certain pokemon that you can breed....and Ditto will breed with all of them.

No; Ditto can't breed with Ditto! If you use a Ditto, try breeding it with a male Pokemon. If you do that, the baby might be born with some of the father's attacks! (I did that and got a Magby with Fire Blast!) Or you can not use a Ditto at all! Beware; some pokemon can only breed with certain Pokemon! If you visit the daycare and talk to your Pokemn and the message says "It has no interest in (Pokemon)" or "It's brimming with energy," you will never find an egg. For example, a Vulpix and a Psyduck left in the daycare at the same time will not make an egg. The pokemon have to resemble each other. You can find more information in Pokemon Stadium 2 as well as other places but I don't know what...

Make sure the two Pokemon are compatible with each other. Ditto tend to be the best 'breeders'. If you choose not to use a Ditto for breeding, make sure that you have a female of the Pokemon you want, as all baby Pokemon will the lowest evolution of the female Pokemon (ie. if the female is a Pikachu, you will get a Pichu). The baby will share traits from each parent. There are certain Pokemon that can't breed even with a Ditto because they are pre-evolution (Igglybuff, Pichu, Cleffa, Togepi, Tyrogue, Smoochum, Magby, and Elekid) or one of a kind (the Legendaries, plus Mew and Mewtwo). Aside from these, Unown, Nidorina, and Nidoqueen can't be bred sucessfully. Hope that helps. And Neferimon, the Pokemon don't have to resemble each other. I've managed to get baby Pokemon with Pokemon that weren't alike, though I can't remember who since I've lost my Silver version.

I agree with everyone here, if you breed a pikachu and a ditto you get pichu but ive found out that if you can get a male picka and femlae pika it works out better, espaclly if the male has good attacks cuz the pichu learns the dads best attack. just a lil research the biggest beauty in pokemon did :)

Well, the most common pokemon that you should breed with ditto is your starter pokemon. you'll get another starter pokemon of the same kind. Well, in my case I got a Abra the knew fire blast and flamethrougher. Thats Because I bread it with a magmar.

Well, I suggest you breed anyone of eevee's evolutions with ditto to get a level five lets say espeon. Well, thats what I would do.

Hmm... not sure if you can breed a Magikarp and Dratini, never tried it... I don't see why D_A would lie, though.

But anyway, there really aren't any "best combinations" for breeding Pokémon. It just depends on what you want. Basically, you leave two Pokémon in the Daycare Center, and they'll produce an egg (if the two Pokémon can be bred together). The Pokémon that hatches from the egg will be the most basic form of the female Pokémon, and it may have some moves that the male Pokémon knows. So, it pretty much depends on what Pokémon you want, and what moves you want the Pokémon to know.

Also, something to mention is that some Pokémon can only learn certain moves by starting out with them, such as G/S/B Master's Vaporeon, which started out as an Eevee with Fire Blast and then evolved. These egg moves can be very handy, since you can get Pokémon with moves that you wouldn't think they could have. You wouldn't think a Vaporeon would be able to know Fire Blast, since it's a water type, for example. And having a fire type move on a water type could be very useful when battling, say, a grass type which normally would have a big advantage over a water type.

If you have Pokémon Stadium 2 on the Nintendo 64, it has a list of which Pokémon can be bred together, and a list of egg moves that each Pokémon can learn. It's very useful for breeding.

Yep, Magikarp and Dratini are in the same egg group, so they will make an egg! It's probably not a good idea to breed a Ditto with a female Pokemon, since you can't get any egg moves for the baby. Sometimes the baby can be born with the exact same moves as its parents! For example, I once breeded a female Mr. Mime with a male Hypno, and my Hypno's attacks were Psychic, Hypnosis, Ice Punch, and Dream Eater. The Mr. Mime that hatched out of the egg knew the exact same attacs as Hypno did! Cool! :) :toothy: :tasty:

Well, it would either hatch into a Magikarp, or a Dratini, depending on which of the parents was female.

And yeah, like I said, you can get some unexpected move sets from breeding.

Oh, because there isn't a pre-evolved pokemon of Dratini and Magikarp, the egg just hatches into it's famale parent? Gee.....I always thought you could only breed pokemon that have a lower stage pokemon before them, or a baby pokemon like Pichu.....

Thanks Desbreko and Nefertimon for the help. :)

I got a Jolteon now. With Flamethower,Surf,Thunder, and Rain dance.I'll be working on flareon now.I duplacated my fire stones. So I got another chance to get a special pokemon.Flamethrower from Flareon,Surf from Vaporeon and Thunder and Rain dance from the Jolteon

I just wish that the baby Kanguskhan wouldn't have a baby on it's pouch. It's really weird for a male to have a baby.I mean a male having a BABY!!! Thats just weird.

I wish I had a Silver Version of my own. I can fool with my best friend's Silver a lot, because her parents won't let her use it on weekdays, but she has limitations on breeding. I wonder if one can find a way to breed an Eevee with Grass-Element abilities (ie, Razor Leaf) or something, because there isn't a Grass Element Eevolution.

I'm not sure if Eevee can learn any grass type moves as egg moves or not... I suppose I could get out Pokémon Stadium 2 and check... *checks* Nope, neither Eevee nor any of it's evolutions can learn any grass type moves, neither by leveling up, from TMs, or egg moves.
