Sheikahmon
My buddy finally got her Tyrogue to evolve into Hitmontop and put it in the Daycare with a Ditto. When I got to play with it, she had a Tyrogue egg in her party, so I hatched it. Then I went to the Daycare and found another Tyrogue egg waiting. I hatched that one, too. Now, I'm playing some more, and Hitmontop and Ditto seem to be at it again...
Raichu Tamer
Hitmonchan has Rolling Kick on my gold game, but that was because i breed a hitmonlee with Ditto and evolved it in to hitmonchan!
Sheikahmon
Whoa, wait a minute. Basic error here, G/S/B Master. You said that your male Kangaskhan hatched from an egg with a baby in its pouch. Very strange, considering that Kangaskhan is one of those species that is ONLY FEMALE! There are various Pokemon that only come in one gender. Hitmontop is only male, Tyrogue is only male, and Tauros is only male. Jynx is only female, Miltank is only female, and KANGASKHAN is only female! Hope to have cleared this up.

Mew learns Transform on its own at Lv. 30, if memory serves. I saw that on Pokémon Stadium 2. Of course, you can't raise a Mew unless you get it by GameShark, (I don't know what level it is if you get it from a Nintendo thing), so eh...
Imp
Originally posted by wargreymon If the father is the ditto, will the resulting pokemon have transform?
Nope. No Pokemon other than Ditto can learn Transform. There is no TM for it, and no Pokemon have it as an Egg move, so the only way to get another Pokemon to "learn" Transform is to use Metronome or Mimic. Desbreko
What about with a Smeargle? You know, how it can copy moves from Pokémon it fights? I wonder if a Smeargle could get Transform from fighting a Ditto or Mew.
Boo
... Desbreko! You gave me an idea! And im gonna test it out emmidiately ^^
Kei
I believe that it might not be possible. I think Smeargle may be faster than Ditto, which would make Smeargle's Sketch attack useless, then the Ditto would transform and use Sketch, but the only thing Smeargle can use now is Struggle. The Mew thing might work, however. I need to follow D_A's example and go experiment....
Valen
Actually, Lady K, it all depends on Level and Speed. If Smerg's speed is higher than Ditto's, then well, you're screwed. But if Ditto is faster, then you could do it. Another thing you might find interesting is that the moves an Adult learns is the same as the baby pokemon when bred with a Ditto. I know, useless fact, but oh well. Oh, and one more thing, when I get home I'm sending in the stuff. (Lady K, you know what stuff I'm talking about... I dunno if you got my PM.) Well, i'm out. -Valen
Kei
I knew that, V, but I was just speaking in general. I mean, if your Ditto is at Lv. 100 and the opposing Smeargle is at Lv. 50 or something, of course it'll work, but I was thinking in terms as if your had just caught the Ditto and went after the Smeargle in the Ruins of Alph right after. As for the moveset thing, that's technically true, but the baby will still have the moves that it always starts with (i.e. Pichu starts with Thundershock and Charm, etc.). It will more than likely have the first two moves that the Father learned by TM/HM or whatever. (I appreciate you sending it. ;) )
Sheikahmon
Speaking of breeding with Ditto, I tried that with the Red Gyarados, trying to get the rumored Gold Magikarp, but it didn't work. Just another orange Magikarp.
Kei
Yes, that's another one of those false rumors out there. Just because the female may be a Shining Pokémon, that doesn't mean the baby will be as well. The fact is, only 1 in every 6,000 Wild Pokémon battles result in your opponent being a Shining Pokémon, so to have a baby hatch as one would be even less likely.
Valen
Yeah, for hatching a shining pokemon is like... 1 in every 15,000,000 or so. Lol. Oh, and why not put a 'rumors' section on the site? As on the movesets, that is very true. I haven't seen many moves that come from a naturally learned move of the parent(s)... And technically, if you are colorblind of some sort, you may see any Magikarp as 'golden' or even 'yellow.'

Sheikahmon
Oh, and sorry, G/S/B Master, I was kinda in a bad mood that day, I guess. But my official Nintendo book on the G/S versions says that Kangaskhan is only female! On the other hand... anybody notice that Sabrina's Mr.Mime is a female? So should we call it a Ms.Mime or a Mrs.Mime? Are Meowth and Eevee compatible mates? I wanna see if I can get an Eevee that knows Pay Day! (in a Pokemon Comic I read the other day, a guy taught his Fearow that move by using its Mirror Move attack against Meowth!) Please don't tell me that Eevee can't get Pay Day as an Egg Move, it would make me so sad... well, maybe I can try for a Meowth that can use other element moves... gotta experiment! *puts on a "Mad Scientist" costume and takes GameBoy into secret laboratory...*
Kei
Huh. I've seen male Kangaskhan before....that's very odd.... I don't believe that Eevee can learn Pat Day, sorry to say, but I may be wrong. I'm at school now and can't check PS 2, but I'll get back to you on that.
Raichu Tamer
i breed a Ditto with a Hitmonlee and got a tyrouge with Mega kick then the Tyrouge evolved into a hitmonchan. imagine a HITMONCHAN with MEGA KICK
Kei
That's fairly interesting, Paul. Of course it was a possibility that it would end up like that, as Tyrouge has a bit of a complicated way of evolving, but it seems weird as Hitmonchan's nickname is The Punching Demon...lol
Boo
ehm.... pkmn R/B.... Get a Hitmonchan and get The mega kick TM. You can learn it to him ;) (I know cause I did... Even when I didnt even use Hitmonchan in my team :p) But it does sound weird yeah... "The punching demon which kicks too" in the red corner! And.... Sheikahmon
I mated my male Wobbuffett with a female Misdreavus and got a Misdreavus that knew Destiny Bond. Blue knew that one, but Missi sure didn't. I think that BabyMissi inherited Destiny Bond from Blue. (Yes, I'm perfectly aware that the leader of Viridian City Gym is Blue, but hey, I've always wanted a Wobbuffett called "Old Blue".)
Kei
Yes, if you mate those two, the resulting Misdreavus would have Destiny Bond, as it learns that at a later level. The Inherited Moves Rule states that if the Father knows the move at the time of breeding and the resulting baby Pokémon will learn that move later in life, the baby will be born with that move.
