Breeding?

Oh, and as to that kicking Hitmonchan? Maybe this title could be worth something: "The Punching Demon with Extra Kick". Nah, that just sounds like I'm trying to sell it or something, and it isn't mine to sell!
And about that Smeargle Sketching Transform thing, I have an alternate proposal that could work with a fast Smeargle. Put a Pokemon other than Smerg at the top of the list, then when a Ditto comes up, switch fast to Smerg. The Ditto will use Transform before you get to choose to use Sketch, so... (I used that trick to give my lady Smerg Hidden Power from an Unown, so I'm not 100% sure it will work. If you try it and it doesn't work, PM me and I'll delete this part.)
Now, for a question related to the topic...
What about TM compatible moves? If a Hypothetical Pokemon were given a TM move, say, DynamicPunch, and were mated with another similar Pokemon, would the resulting baby Pokemon have DynamicPunch? (I know, the answer is probably no...)

It all depends on whether or not the Pokémon can learn the move as an EGG move. Say for example you bred a Cyndaquil that knew Reversal with a female Pikachu. The resulting Pichu would have Reversal because Pikachu can learn it as an EGG move, but the baby Pokémon is always the most basic form of the mother.

The breeding feature was incorparated in the Pokémon games with the release of Gold and Silver, genkai. ^_~ I must educate you in the new ways of Pokémon, lol.

A shiny/shining Pokémon is a Pokémon that's a different color than it is normally. An example would be the red Gyarados that you find in the Lake of Rage in G/S/C. Shiny Pokémon aren't in R/B/Y, though, only G/S and later.

You really need to get Gold, Silver, or Crystal version, lol. (Or Ruby/Sapphire if you have a GBA). I don't think I'd be able to go back to my old Yellow version after playing Gold for so long. :twitch:

I'm not positive, but I don't think being shiny makes any difference to the Pokémon's stats. I've never actually even seen a shiny Pokémon, let alone caught one, besides the red Gyarados that's always in the Lake of Rage in G/S/C. I'm a bit annoyed by that, since I've played my Gold version for around 100 hours. :twitch:

Wait, G/S/C is gold, silver, and...??? what?

Well, in theory, wou ldn't breeding a shining with a shining mean they both have dominant traits for shining or homozygous recessive(i'm thinking that Shining is recessive, lol), so no matter what, in theory, wouldn't the offspring of 2 shining be a shining?

Genetics-wise, it should be,, i think...

If they made the game like that, then yeah, there should be a decent chance that the offspring of two shiny Pokémon would also be shiny. But, it's only a game, so I don't think they'd bother making it that complex. :cross:

And G/S/C stands for Gold/Silver/Crystal.
