I'm just gonna try this, and if it works, that's great. But if not, just shut it down.

I've been noticing a lot of threads asking about how to defeat bosses in various Zelda games. Gets pretty cluttering, at least to me. So I propose that people post their questions about bosses here, in one nice, orderly thread. And that'll be one less thing for Desbreko to worry about.:)

It's your lucky day! :toothy: I just happen to have a boss strategy for Gyorg that I wrote awhile ago. Here it is:

Boss Strategy - Gargantuan Masked Fish: Gyorg

When you walk through the boss door, you'll see a hole in the floor. Jump down it, and you'll land on a round platform rising up out of a large round pool of water, all around the platform. After a short cinema, where the boss is revealed to be a giant fish, the fight begins.

There are two ways to fight this boss. The first way is to stand on the center platform and either shoot arrows (as Link) or your fins (as Zora-Link) at Gyorg until you stun it. Then, while wearing the Zora Mask, jump into the water. Use the Zora Barrier (R Button) against Gyorg to hurt it. When Gyorg is no longer stunned, climb back up onto the platform and take off the Zora Mask (if you're using arrows). Repeat this process until you defeat Gyorg. When Gyorg is close to being defeated, it will start to spit little fish out of it?s mouth. If you run out of arrows, you can break the post around the edge of the platform to get more. Also, beware when Gyorg jumps out of the water and over the platform to attack.

The second way to defeat Gyorg, is to jump in the water with it, while wearing the Zora Mask. Swim around and try to avoid getting eaten, and use the Zora Barrier against it whenever you can. If you swim into the side of Gyorg and keep using the Zora Barrier, you can score lots of hits! When Gyorg starts spitting out the little fish, you?ll be close to victory, but those little fish can also cause lots of damage. Be careful!

Before you enter this fight, I highly recommend getting a bottle of Chateau Romani, so you have unlimited magic. You can get a bottle at the Milk Bar, after 10:00 PM, for 200 Rupees (if you have Romani?s Mask to get in, that is). If you can?t get a bottle of Chateau Romani, stock up with a few Blue Potions and a Fairy or two. If you do get a bottle of Chateau Romani, don?t bother with Blue Potions, just get Red Potions.

Okay, I know I posted how to beat Veran somewhere in this forum... *searches... and searches... and searches...* AH HA! Finally found it! (After about 15 minutes of searching, lol). Well, here it is:

At first, Veran will be in Queen Ambi's body. Shoot Mystery Seeds at her to make Veran come out, and then use the Long Hook to pull her away from Ambi, then use the Sword.

When Veran transforms into a winged demon thing, jump away from her fireballs with the Roc's Feather, and attack with your sword as she flies by.

As a turtle, jump away from her with the Roc's Feather when she hops around, and hit her with your sword when her face appears.

As a spider, stun her with Bombs and then use your sword, while avoiding the webs.

As a bee, jump over the stingers with the Roc's Feather and hit her with the sword when you can. Kill the swarms to get Hearts.

Veran will usually cycle through her different transformations a few times before you beat her, so you might see each form more than once.

I could do with some help as I prepare to defeat Oxon in OOS!!!

I've found some info on how to but it says it would help to have the Red Ring. Aparently I get this when I defeat 4 golden monsters. Does anyone know anything that can help me with this.
And how about the blue ring?

Yes, it would help to have either the Blue Ring (you take half damage while wearing it), or the Red Ring (you do double damage while wearing it). Both of them are very helpful, but I prefer the Red Ring..

For getting the Red Ring, yes, you have to defeat four golden monsters that are somewhere in Holodrum, and only appear in certain seasons. However, before you start looking for them, you'll have to talk to the old man in the cave just south of Level 1: Gnarled Root Dungeon. Change the season to summer, and then go down the stairs just below the entrance to Level 1, and you should be able to access the cave that he's in. After you talk to him, the four monsters will appear. After defeating the four golden monsters, go back and talk to him to get the Red Ring.

For getting the Blue Ring, you can only get it in Oracle of Ages (just like you can only get the Red Ring in Oracle of Seasons). To get it, you have to have the Power Glove (lv.2 Power Bracelet), which is found in Level 8: Ancient Tomb. Then, you have to lift up one of the big blue statues in the maze that leads to Level 8 (the Sea of No Return). It's in a chest under one of the statues on the east side of the maze.

So, unless you're playing a linked Oracle of Seasons game, you won't be able to get the Blue Ring to use while fighting Onox. The Red Ring will still help a lot, though, because you'll only have to hit him half as many times. If you need help finding the four golden monsters or fighting Onox, I can also help with that.

Beating Onox's first form is really easy. Just equip the sword and Roc's Feather. Keep the sword powered up and slash at him (With your back turned to him is easiest for me). When he tries to slash at you, just jump out of the way. Oh, and just move to a corner when stuff starts to fall on you. The odds will keep you more safe than not.

When he draws what's-her-face (gah I can't believe I forgot it) to her as a shield, knock her away with the Rod of Seasons and keep slashing. Slash, jump, hit, slash, jump, hit, slash, jump, hit...

Eventually he'll "die." Fall through the floor and face the invincible dark dragon thingy.

Someone else help batch with that, I just barely get by him.

Okay i went to see the old man and he tells me I have killed one golden monster, which was news to me!

You say you can help with the golden monsters, could you let me know where and when I'll find them. I don't have much patience to carry on searching all over in each of the seasons!

Okay, the first one is a soldier, which can be found down on the coast, one screen to the east of the Hero's Cave, in spring. The second is an Octorok, which can be found one screen south of the Subrosia Warp in Spool Swamp, in summer. The third is a Moblin, which can be found next to the entrance to Level 2: Snake's Remains, in autumn. The fourth and last is a Wolf Warrior which can be found two screens north of the gate that's the entrance to Tarm Ruins, in winter.

I need help with betting the boss in stone temple. Can anyone help...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
umm. On the game MM whats the easiest way to beat majora? I dont have all the masks and I cant get the fierce dieties mask (SP?)! Sucks doesnt it?
Combined your first post with a post from another thread. I figured it'd be easier to answer both of those questions in the same post, and they're both on the subject of boss help. - Desbreko
