Anyway I was wondering by how much does the fusion between Goku and Vegeta increase there joint power level. In GT (I think) they both go to level 4 and fuse the result is Super Gogeta level 4 but he dosent share the normal atributes of a level 4. Instead of black hair he has red hair and his fur is different. So could this be because he has so much more power than Goku and Vegeta seperate or could this technically be called a different level? Also in a previous post someone mentioned that Goku was weaker than Majin Vegeta at level 2 because Vegeta had trained longer at that level. I did not believe this is how things worked I thought you automatically went up a level when you became so strong (like Goku going Level 3). But if this is the case then surely you could train at level one and become as strong as a higher level Super Saiyan? (Im sorry but Im not quite sure how these things work!)
I aslo noticed in the movie "Exploding Dragonfist" Gohan fights as his normal self (ie not going super saiyan) is this in fact him as a mystic? Is he stronger as a mystic than a super saiyan?

In the Buu saga Goku gets the poterra earings to fuse with Gohan (originally), why does he do this ? Why does he not just fuse normally?

No it wouldn't. Because although they are fused they are still level 4, due to none of the fused components never going above that. Plus, SSJ Vegetto was stronger than SSJ3 Gokou lol, so basically its SSJ4 with double the power, lets just say that.

He gets the Potarro Earrings because no one else(Goten and Trunks, and Piccolo excluded) knew the fusion dance.

With Gokou vs. Majin Vejita, Gokou was stronger, seeing as how Majin Vejita had to trick Gokou to actually get him down. Gokou held back 3, and had more experience in 2 anyway.

Mystic Gohan is a gap of power between SSj2-3.

Well, Goku, Trunks, Goten, and Piccollo are the only ones out of the Z fighters that actually know tha fusion dance. Goku didnt have the time to teach Gohan the dance, and so thought it would be easier, and quicker, to just use the earings. But certain inconviniences led to Vegeta taking his place.

As for the power levels, all of them had stopped after the Furiza saga, anything elae you hear is just a rumour....

And mystic Gohan is pretty much the same as Super Saiyan, its just that over the period of seven long years of studying, Gohan never really trained, so his power level deteriated, becoming Mystic just brought him back to his normal self.

[color=indigo]About the training and getting stronger thing. You can train as much as you want and you don't neccesarily gain another level automatically. Something has to trigger the transformation. If things were the way you sadi they were, both Gokou and Vegeta would have became a Super Saiya-jin much ealier than they did. Brolli became a Super Saiya-jin at a young age, and with not much power. So, in the way you're saying, by the time Vegeta and Nappa came to Earth, they both would have attained the level of Super Saiya-jin just as Brolli did, but they hadn't. Though, it took the death of Krillen and the near death of Piccolo to trigger his transformation. Marai no Trunks became a Spuer Saiya-jin after Android #17 and #18 killed Gohan (in the future timeline). Vegeta's transformation was triggered by losing hope that he will ever become stronger than Kakarotto, and that he will never become a Super Saiya-jin. They only exceptions to this are Goten and Chibi Trunks. No one really knows why they were just able to do it.[/color]

With Chibi Trunks and Son Goten, it must've just been in their genes seeing as how their father's achived SSJ before they were conceived, ya know how kids get that gene from their parents. Gohan had to train because Gokou was normal when he was born.

Well, the original plan was actually for Gokou and Gohan to fuse, doing the dance.

However, Rou Dai Kaioshin pointed out to Gokou, the fact that Majin Buu probably wouldn't allow Gokou and his son the time to go through the motions of the dance.

After the old Kaioshin told Gokou of the earrings and their superior effects, there was no reason to worry about the dance anyhow.

And Altron Gundam is correct about Gohan's Mystic form. Contrary to what ProudClod stated, the Mystic form allows Gohan to surpass any power he had previously reached as a super saiya-jin. It did more than simply "restore his power."

It was more powerful than SSJ3 Gotenks, but weaker than SSJ Gokou. The overall advantage that the Mystic form possesses, is that it doesn't put Gohan under the strain that SSJ3 puts Gokou and Gotenks under.

you know when they were sparring chi chi kept telling goten to fight and that one punch made him angry enough to brcome ssj...???
