Guest Hikaru Ichijyo
:( Well I live in NYC currently, so the beaches here generally aren't that great, I believe the word for them is they suck! Never been much of a beach person anyway so thats alright! The closest thing NYC has to a lake is the Hudson River, which is rather poluted! Damn it I need to move to Cali, much quicker!:p ;)
Juu
Hmm.... I've lived in Denmark, Norway, South Korea (born there),and USA (isn't it obvious?). I've lived in 6 different cities in the us and even more where that came from. All of the cities are by some sort of beach. well, the gulf of mexico, (Galveston Island) helps you predict the weather, but looks erm.... uh... I'll put in a pic later on. and now I'm on the west coast with beutiful, blue water.
Char!
Milwaukee's beaches have dead fish on them because our side of Lake Michigan is practically toxic. That kind of makes you proud, huh? j/k But other than that, they're really very beautiful. The sand's hot as hell in summer, and at some parts the beach goes back fairly far, for a lake.
Sere Tuscumbia
Hah. Beaches? In Oklahoma? Dream on. The only beaches I've been to were in Corpus Christi. Two years in a row. One time it was filled with jellyfish, and the other time, I ended up up-chucking all over Dad because I swallowed salt water when I was thrown backward by a wave. I don't really remember any beaches. And even though Oklahoma has the most recorded shoreline in all of the good 'ole USA, you don't see much of them. <~~That sounds weird but I saw it on a promotional video that I was forced to watch in Civics. (The whole spiel about the shoreline) ~~> Well then, enough rambling. ~!*Sere & Co.*!~
Guest Xon
The beach close to my house. I believe it's spell Buckaroo. I'm not sure but it's Buckaroo beach, the beach is totally nasty and dirty. And silty I believe the little kids might be peeing in there. Thats what I think. But VA Beach now that's different story the water is OK. But there be a lot of people there and I mean a lot of people. It's the best place to throw a party and find girls.

John2
Blanko, you live in a beautiful place. And in that place are many beauties. I live along the coast of Texas and I've been to many beaches, but I have never been to one like yours. Oh what I'd give to live in Oregon or Washington... Sara
Lake Michigan glows at night. I live only three blocks away from a place called Zoo Beach...[It's by the city zoo, go figure. There's also a North Beach...it's just south of ZooBeach.] I found a dead dog down by the water, once. It was...really gross.... But, it's cooler near the lake [at least, that's what the weathermen tell us every summer.] There's a nice breeze, and the water is COLD, a redeeming factor when the weather hits 98 and up and people are dying of heatstroke in the county north of us. And I've built some killer sandcastles down there... And it is a nice, scenic stretch of sand...if you frame the photograph just right.

Have you ever smelt a dead armadillo in a ditch on the side of the highway in 100 degree temperature? That's gross. won't go into detail... I didn't even say how it died... Sara
Armadillo....? Uh, no. But please, don't tell me that finding that dog wasn't gross. I'll spare you the details, because, frankly, they make me sick. Jenna--I just walked down to the beach. The sign down there says the water temperature is 62. of course, it also says risk for illness is low...And we all know that's accurate, right? Hmmm...anyone taking bets on when Milwaukee Area has its next Crypto outbreak? Char!
The way things are goin down here, Cera, I wouldn't be suprised if the next outbreak was within the next year... I remember I was in the school library when an announcement came on over the intercom telling everyone not to use the water fountains....They were all duct-taped up and everything....Scary deal...we were all making up stories ow we were being invaded and someone put poison in the water to kill us and stuff....I miss second grade.... liamc2
Beaches, I've seen a few. .*thinks* Batemans Bay; Ulladulla NSW 1770; North Queensland Lady Musgrave island on the great barrier reef, an hours trip by boat to pristine coral and stuff from 1770 Newcastle; Sydney NSW - (plus point is if you know where to go you can find tank traps and army stuff. .) Many Miscellanious beaches along the Gold Coast QLD and Surfers Paradise (very nice) But the best beach of all would have to be Lake Makenzie(sp?) on Fraser Island. A huge lake that is totally fresh water and pure white sand. When you're in the water, everything is transparent. Clear as day to see the sand below your feet. The lake even has miniwaves o-o, but the best thing is you can drink it, its sweeter and more pure than any spring water, free from chemicals. :D Ok, this is not Makenzie, but it is a beach on Fraser Island:
Red
Originally posted by James And then there are beaches which directly face the ocean -- in the middle of winter, you can sit on the sand and just watch these enormous waves crash against the shore right infront of you.
You could do that in England, if you had someone standing next to you with a flamethrower to thaw you out. Plenty of beaches in England, it being an island, but they're mostly scuzzy and polluted..
