Guest Hikaru Ichijyo
I was never a fan of the cartoon, and no its not because it didn't come from Japan, before you people get on my case about that! ;) So there would be no way I actually would want to see the live action version of Scooby Doo, and as far as scrappy being evil well....
Juu
I just saw the movie yesterday. It was okay.... I only liked that part (spoiler) where fred and daphne had their bodies switched.. erm.... It was pretty good, but I think they could of done a lil bit better. -and why did it have to be scrappy? that was pretty dumb.
GotenksSSJ343
I finally finished the book and (spoiler) Scrappy quotes : "They kicked me out of the group and I wanted to be the leader." Then Shaggy says : "Like dosen't mean you can act like a jerk and try and destroy humanity." Finally like all the other villans Scrappy says, "And I wouldn't of gotten away with it too if it weren't for those meddling kids....." But his voice trails off after. Spikey
I think the movie was just plain horrible. It was nothing like the Cartoon. It wasn't scary at all, and it was plain stupid. I don't mean to be a copier person but, I hated how they had they vocies.
Sere Tuscumbia
I'm sorry, but for anyone that sticks up for that lame excuse of a movie is a bit delusional. The movie wasn't even BASED off of Scooby Doo, it was a pick-and-splice deal. They took the character's attitudes from A Pup Named Scooby Doo, and that just made the movie more hateable. They took Scrappy Doo from the later series of Scooby Doo and even then, twisted the character until he wasn't even Scrappy Doo! And there wasn't even a good chase scene. The only reason that they even THOUGHT of Sarah Michelle Gellar is because she plays Buffy, and therefore has a little bit of sex appeal. (And the references (ie: The "Scooby Gang") in Buffy the Vampire Slayer) And since Freddy Prince Jr. was a couple w/ Sarah Michelle, they decided to use him for Fred (and vice-versa). And the whole, "Velma not getting enough credit" was NEVER a thing in Scooby Doo. I should know. I've seen every episode. Please. That charade was a pathetic excuse for a movie. It went on the "this is going to suck" list even before they started making it. ~!*Sere & Co.*!~

Guest Saiyangohan2002
[color=green] I think that you're all going in with the attitude "this is going to suck" and you don't even give the movie a chance. The only thing i hate about the movie is scrappy veing evil. I mean, like Defcon5 said, in the series, Scrappy always looked up to scooby. but it was probably unexpected. Manic Webb
Man, you guys are cruel! You talk like it was the worst movie ever! (How soon we forget Mario Bros.) While I did find a few things wrong with the movie, still liked it. I mean, it was a lot better than I had feared. Shaggy and Scooby were great. 'nuff said I was disappointed with Velma, though. She was good sometimes, but her voice sorta trailed off from Velma to "generic nerd." Daphne... I'll leave that one alone. Freddy's performance as Fred was pretty good. (SPOILER) The commercials made him look dumb because they were playing footage from when he was possessed. Then there's what you all complained about... Scrappy Doo. Am I the only person here who didn't like Scrappy to begin with?! He was annoying! (SPOILER) Scrappy went evil from an ego trip. He got revenge on Scooby because his own beloved uncle gave him the boot and kicked him out of the van in the middle of nowhere! It's just like all of R. Kelly's old fans burning his records. When someone you practically worship betrays you, you tend to hate them a little. If anything, I'm disappointed with the fact that there was no mention of Scooby Dum or Flimflam. I loved those two. Omar Harris
I never really liked 13 Ghost of Scooby Doo, so FLimFlam is a moot point. THe show wasn't bad it's just, not SCooby Doo. I hate how they use the same ideas over and over and get rid of Fred and Velma in later cartoons. It's original yes, but if you make improvements, improve! Scooby Dum is cool. It would be great to some reference to the rest of the Doo family. As for the Scrappy thing. Scrappy was cool. I don't know why but I liked the old Scrappy cartoons even if he was annoying. Him being the villain was a twist but come on, at least portray with some realism. He was supossed to be an annoying kid who loves his uncle not a sadistic egomaniac even if his cause was justified. The rest of the roles were played well. I do think Fred is vain to an extant. Notice how he always "coincidentally" pairs up with Daphne when they go on in teams? Oh for those who don't know Velma was played by the star of a little known show called "Freaks and Geeks" which is so underrated by audiences it got cancelled. Anyway, I liked the Scooby Doo movie. The guest stars were cool, especially Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) and Miguel A. Nunez (the guy from Juwanna Mann). I just didn't like Scrappy not being Scrappy. And I didn't know Shaggy and Scooby were official vegetarians (I heard Casey Casem, Shaggy's VA was, and wanted them to be all those years ago, which is why HB made Scooby Snacks.) OutlawStar
Well first off I didn't really the cartoons. Some where okay, but most were repetitive. Second, I haven't seen the movie yet and even though all, that is to say most of you guys gave it a bad rap, I'm still going to see it when it comes out on DVD. I don't really care that I know who the Villain is before I see the movie since when I saw the previews it didn't look very interesting.
