Does anyone else really like the Gorrilaz I mean like you know the wods to all their songs not just Clint Eastwood. I am a huge fan and have both of their CD's (G-Sides,The Gorrilaz) I think that the idea of having cartoon characters as them in all their videos is great. I think that it could take them places although many people see them as one hit wonders I do not think so, their music seems so...original. If you listen to one track then another it sounds lke your listening to a diffeent group. My favorite character has to be 2-D.

My favorite character is 2-D as well, because he is the lead singer of Blur, of whom I am a big fan of. I just like the Gorillaz sound. They ARE unique, like you said. Their songs are very crazy, though. But they are fun. That's what I like about them.

That song is called "19-2002." I liked it when I first heard the CD way before it was released as their second single. And then I heard the radio version and I got pissed because it's a remix and it's a heck of a lot cooler than the one on their CD. It's more catchy and bouncy and you can dance to it if you REALLY wanted to. I don't know, I just really like the remixed version.

Some remixes are good, but some you may hate (and this is a bad example, because I listen to rock, but here it goes)

Destiny's Child (who I only watch on MTV, cuz I love rock) had that song "Bootyliscious", and I watched it whenever it came on, but then they had the remix, and I hated the remix.

Meh, I used to despise them. This was back when they first came out with Clint Eastwood and there was the heavy rap in the song. So that song didn't make me think too much of them. I've heard a few of their other songs, they're ok now. I'll listen to them and enjoy it as long as their isn't the rap in there :twitch:

I like their songs with rapping and I think that it is cool how they incorpirate it in some of their songs it seems that they are a mix of several types of musics which I really like being a fan of many different music styles. They have a little bit of something everyone can like. I liked the Clint Eastwood single but it is not their best track and I really hate it when people claim to be fans when they have only listened to that one track.

I'm with you Piro Hon, I like their songs that the guy from Blur sing most of the time. He's so awesome. Ah, I remember back in the day when Song 2 was new and I heard it for the first time... Their CD isn't that bad. Their videos are cool because they're completely animated, but that was a given because they are supposed to be an imaginary band! If everyone doesn't get the concept of that, I suggest you watch the documentary they showed on MTV. And by the way, did you know that the character Noodles is supposed to be a little Japanese schoolgirl?

I've only heard 3 of their songs, and I recorded the videos for them. They were Clint Eastwood, Tomorrow Comes Today, and 19\2000. My brother put the Clint Eastwood remix on Winamp. My favorite character is either Noodle or 2-D.

Noodle? A girl? I must have been asleep or something...Oh well! At first I thought they were *very* annoying but now everytime I see preps singing to Clint Eastwood, I laugh. Such big egos, such little minds...

I like the Gorillaz. The best part is that some songs have members of Cibo Matto in them :D. This band really reminds me of G-Love and Special Sauce and Butter08 though. A little too much. Doesn't seem like the Gorillaz caught on as much as planned though...although more people seem to know about them than the other 3 bands I just mentioned lol.

Yeah, Mist a lot of preps would sing along to Clint Eastwood in my school which I thought was funny because the knew none of Russels lyrics and would only sing 2D's over and over again. They know none of their other song's though which really gets on my nerves. I was listening to Latin Simone on a field trip once and a prep asked me who it was and when I told him it was The Gorrilaz he told me it wasn't because it sounded nothing like the track Clint Eastwood, he denid it being them til I took out the CD and showed it to him.
