Phantom
After smiling for a second, his wounds clean for he did not receive much of any wounds during the battle, Ilythiirtar flips with all the grace of an elf into a nearby tree, while watching Lacroix lean on another nearby tree, he realizes that his mentor is much like him. Always observing the others, making sure the situation is clear. Always with his game-face clearly set upon his passive visage. Truly they were the watchers of the band. Alriy: (still grumbling at the thought of the violated blessed land) ?Why here? This place has always been so sanative? Never a fight nor demonic presence. Why now?? Ilythiirtar: (shouting down) ?Two reasons my friend, one of which must be true. Either they are homing in on us? Or something, someone! Else is the center of their evil nature? Someone driving them to us?? Elsyan: (nodding) ?Agreed Illy.? Flipping up to Ilythiirtar, Elsyan becons him to move over, for she wishes to converse without yelling. Elsyan: ?You seem to have most of the answers, or at least enough brains to say your mind. What do you think we should do?? Ilythiirtar: ?Is it that un-obvious? We must leave, because more destruction to this beautiful land, for there is not much of this beautiful land left in this world? Yes we must move ?find these relics. I alone cannot depict where to go, I just understand that we must move... Alriy would quite possibly hold the answers to where we should go.? Teleporting beside Lacroix, Ilythiirtar gets a nod of approval. Elsyan jumps to Lauren whom already knows what is going on and agrees instantly. Alriy just simply brushes off his thoughts for the land and begins walking? Knowing fate already has decided for him to lead.
Heartless Me
Alriy: South... There is something tugging me there, so strongly it hurts. He looked throughout the group blinking a few times until his gaze fell upon Lacroix. Alriy: You feel it as well don't you, Lacroix? Lacroix: Yes, tugging at my very soul. We must go that way. Ily: South it is then.. but the only thing there is a barren desert and the occasional wandering Manitcore. The group shuddered at the chance of encountering such a beast. A monster with the body of a lion, the tail of a scorpion, tipped off with large batlike wings. After that thought the kept moving, yet did not slow their pace for the sooner they had recovered these relics was the sooner they could solve the dreams and the mystery. Phantom
Walking next to Alriy, Ilythiirtar trudges alongside, keeping his pace. Lacroix and the others follow, also keeping pace well. Elsyan and Lauren trading glances, as the group move on ward. Lacroix: ?Desert, oh Christ, why must we pass barren desert.? Ilythiirtar: ?Have a think ?gainst deserts?? Lacroix: ?Oh not really, just the heat.? Walking on, Ilythiirtar notices Alriy, just walking, wordless; he trots on, silent and fast. Wondering why he is even here, Ilythiirtar levitates as they walk, allowing him to relax his mind, as he thinks to himself, why he would ever possibly be a part of this. After several hours of the straight, onward westerly travel, they stop for rest. Lacroix the only one who seemed distressed, was sweating profusely. Alriy: (knowing the sweat is not from the heat) ?Lacroix, my friend, you know this is not just as we expected? Obviously the first relic is your calling?? Lacroix: (nodding) ?Yes, I think so as well.. it has been getting worse with every step? I must get it.. it is mine to receive.. and until I have it, I will feel this agony?? And so they continued, now knowing who will be the first to receive one of the impressive relics they are in search of. OOC: Come on people friggen start posting! and do them creatively.. make somthing worth reading... Deedlit
Elsyan-How far away is the desert? Alriy-About an hour's travel from here, but we should go ahead and rest for the remainder of the day. Illy-Why's that? Alriy-Because we would dehydrate and roast if we travel there by day. We'll travel through the desert by night when the temperature drops. However, we will have a better chance of running into a Manitcore. Lacroix-so be it. The group then sat down to rest before the evening hike across the desert.
The Harlequin
OOC: Manticores? A bit too much deathrap dungeon in my opinion... Egad I've read too much. IC:The shifting whispers inscreased. The forewarned, the predicted, the sent out questing tendrils. They knew him, and he knew them. Something that is ingrained into all living beings. The signature image of their inner self. Impossible to deny. Their siren's wail tugged at Lacroix's soul. "Fly with us. Leave these others behind. We are what you are. We are one with you. You belong with us. Leave these pitiful restraints. We welcome you. Come with us. To the desolation." Lacroix walked on, fighting the relic's call. The near sentient spirits in the relic continued their attack. Realising he could not defend for ever, Lacroix drew them in. In his mind: Lacroix: Why do you want me? Voices: We are you. You are us. We are the two sides to a coin. We are incomplete without each other. Lacroix: Yet I go to find you, and you lead me off. Or try to. Voices: No! We do not! We are you. We would not deceive you. We only want you to become one with us. Lacroix: Not one with you. One of you. Your twisted wraithes, tormented by isolation, seek to encapture all who quest for the relic you were imprisoned in. Wraithes: Not so! Not so! We only want to be one with you. Lacroix: So be it. Lacroix lowered his mental defenses. A howling, seetheing swarm, the wraiths poured in, their hate seeking to possess, to destroy. They had no use for physical matter, but they longed to consume the knowledge Lacroix held. Lacroix welcomed them, led them in. As they reached the inner sanctum of his soul, he brought them in. He used their directed hate in a whirlwind against them. Flamed cyphers of guard and ward rang through his auras. As the roiling mass of wraiths raveaged at the seals, Lacroix turned their power against them. They sank to quiesence. Lacroix: But it is now you, who are one with me. Lacroix: Well. That was easily enough fixed. Ilythiirtar: Then you are still in possession of your mind? Lacroix looks long at Ilythiirtar, unsurprised that he had telepathically witness the struggle. Lacroix: Of course.
Heartless Me
Finally night came, the sun being mercilessly consumed in the distant horizon. The moon had long risen but now had crowned itself king of the sky about fourty five degrees from the top of the sky. The group gathered their things, readying themselve's for a long trek over the desert. It didn't take as much time as Alriy had depicted, either that or it just seemed to go faster. The desert seemed to cut off the forest immediately in a straight line and went on seemingly forever in all directions except from behind them where the forest is. Alriy: Alright, becareful where you step from here. Ant Lion nests are very difficult to spot and we may not be able to help you if one of you end up getting caught. Illy: How close are we, Lacroix? Lacroix, seemingly lost in thought for the moment. His mental barriers were up for some reason unknown to others making it unable for Illythiirtar to know what he was thinking. Snapping out of it, but not showing that he was distracted he looked at Illy with that usual emotionless face. Lacroix: In my mind I see a monolith in the center of the desert. It has a door carved into the base of it, I must go in alone. Alriy: We must all go alone when we go to retrieve our personal Artifacts. Luckily we will be able to fight the relics guardian's together. It got very quiet for a moment then the silence was broken. the sound was a twig being snapped behind them, they all turned to see a goblin standing there looking complacent. Elysan gave it a look causing it to meep and run off. Lauren: Well we're not getting there by looking at the desert, let's go! And off the group traveled.. to the depths of the desert in search of the first of the relics that may save them all.
Deedlit
Elsyan-stupid goblins. They walked along in the desert with hardly any conversation for several hours. They walked over sand dunes and rocks when Lauren suddenly fell. She was up to her waist in sand. Alriy-Are you alright, Lauren? Lauren-yeah. I just fell in a hole or something. Elsyan-here. Let's get you out of there. *helps her up* Alriy-A hole? Let me take a look at it. Alriy and Lacroix examine the hole then they swiftly back away. Alriy-Lauren, that's no hole. Lacroix-It's a burrow. No sooner had he said this when about 7 or 8 Manticores emerged from the "hole." All of them jumped back and drew their weapons.
Phantom
Veering at Ilythiirtar, two manticores thrash their demonic maws at the Shadow Master. Blade drawn, its flaming edge gleams almost gently as Ilythiirtar slips below the leaping matinticore. Evading the deadly swipes, Ilythiirtar slides under the beast, his Shin-bar flowing in an array of robust and percussive patterns, chopping the beast?s stomach into an intricate patchwork of fiery gashes. Rolling out behind the now dead manticore, Ilythiirtar watches his handiwork, watching a thick stream of rich ichor flow from the wretch?s torso. Ilythiirtar: (to Alriy) ?Never fought one of these before? Is there a less dangerous way for me to kill these sonzabitches!?? Alriy: ?Just use magic?Christ knows you have a lot of it?? Taking the offer as an inclination to be a show off, Ilythiirtar gapes at the herd of fiends. Closing his eyes, his body initiating the luminescent actinic from his base. At his feet, the growing glow envelopes him at the same time as he dodges the sweeping claws of a nearby manticore. Once fully ?charged?, Ilythiirtar swipes his shasmir at the scene before him causing the entire corporeal plane around the group is devoured in black shadow of melancholy. The shadow stops all movement from any living being which so happens to be grasped in the shroud of darkness? for time altogether stops. Amin setu ah canton , amin setu ah canton, alesiu senimau mah , shientau heaise shunkoru. shinkoru shinkoru! lle seniia heti vane! lle hutru ah may shinkoru! Ilythiirtar just continues to chant this dark Elfish chant for a few moments? His eyes open with a deep yellow flair to them? The fire burns in his eyes as he makes his release. Shouting the chant over in his mind, Ilythiirtar sheathes his weapon as he begins an advanced amphorication technique, allowing him to move twice the speed of light. His body leaves the corporeal plane? but only partially as he only moves a fraction of the speed required to fully commit to that holy feat. This body completely invisible to anything or anyone, he travels directly through the remaining four manticores. (three were killed before he decided to finish them off) After traveling through the manticores at superluminal speed, he leaves a wake of elements in his wake. They tossed and turned the manticores bodies like rag dolls. Their life energy being stolen from them by the dark Mage, but not without drawbacks, for the Elemental surge he used came equipped the emotion and element of love. The last invisible trace of element that fumbles through is love? Which not only kept the manticores alive? it also drained Ilythiirtar?s energy to near empty. Returning wholly to the corporeal plane, Ilythiirtar collapsed, feeling spent and nearly dead, he smiles, choking out a couple words to his comrades. Ilythiirtar: (pointing to the barely moving manticores drunkenly) ?Go?breath?o?n?..th..em????they?..frigg?en?.d?.ea?.d??
The Harlequin
Lacroix ignored the fight, the singing of his soul chord increasing. He slowly approached the burrow, and before anyone could react, leapt in. The darkness enveloped him. A comforting, reclusive feeling. His element. Lacroix crawled through the confined space, crawling down and ahead, for several minutes before coming into a large cavern. Torches lit the cave brightly. It smelt of pitch, as if well tended. The fires however, where incandescent. Too bright to be natural. The earth as moist, smooth. Two obelisks stood before him. Carved with ancient runes, they waited. The knew. The passing of time affected them not, and they heeded it only by choice. Possessed of almost sentient intelligence, the guardian pillars sought their match. The bones and grey dust strewn around them, shown faintly by torchlight, testified to their power to remove those found wanting. The questioning thoughts encountered Lacroix, and stuck fast. The pillars, old as time and far wiser, imparted their assurance to him. Their staid energies resonated, the heartrock of the very earth one with Lacroix's flesh and blood soul. Lacroix, humbled by his encounter, focused his gaze on the pillars. Between them, in the sheet of darkness he attributed to lack of light, a scintillating light appeared. A vortex, traced in patterns of silver, black and purple called to him. He entered it... ...and was suddenly somewhere else. An ancient, dusty smell pervaded. Darkness abounded. Lacroix ran his hands behind him. The wall felt solid. Nowhere to go but forward. Lacroix held his hand out to the sides, encountering walls immediately. One hand intercepting a ring of metal. He reached up, and took the torch out of it's ring. He held it between his kness, striking blades together. The dry wood caught, illuminating the area around him. In the dim light, the walls glowed silver, runes engraved in flowing patterns that seemed to relfect Lacroix's being. He strode forward. The narrow passage opened into a wide room, and he stopped to take it in. It was dominated by an altar. Made of basalt, it was cracked by time and attrition. It carried a miasma of old blood around it, and upon Lacroix's closer inspection, many of the cracks turned out to be runnels of blood. He smiled, perfectly at home with the macarbre. He liked it... In the center of the altar, the glow of his torch was...drawn in. An absortion of light existed. Lacroix's soul thrummed. The relic he had been sent to find. He approached the altar, and gazed upon its center... Minutes later he reappeared, the others looking at him as if he were crazy. Then they saw his eyes. Turned almost fully black, they appeared like moonlight on water as he turned his head. He gaze long at each of them, weighing their souls with newfound depth and intuition. His perception caused an ache within him, his raptor gaze sparing him nothing from those around him. He didn't want to know, yet he had no choice. Lacroix: I have the relic. Alriy: Where? Lacroix smiled, and opened his cloak. An aura of darkness surrounded his neck. He held his hand over it, closing it into a fist. Through his dark flesh, a bright silver glow could be seen, outlinding a pendant. Shaped like an orb, the pendant was traced in silver lightning, almost indiscernable against the already silver glare. Lacroix closed his cloak, the enveloping blackness re-enfolding him. Lacroix: Well then. What now?
Heartless Me
OOC: OH YEAH! finally I'm not a newbie anymore!!! As Lacroix shown his pendant, the sight of it within such close range of alriy caused the ground to shake. A myriad of cracks along the ground resonate as each body of the group of adventurers arise, earthen crust falling out from under them. The night sky swallows the stars one by one as though they were being snuffed out by some celestial breeze. All members found themselve's completely motionless. Alriy: Incredible.... The darkness soon consumed all and left them floating in an endless void. One by one they all slipped off into a deepened slumber. In their minds they seen the location of their artifacts and what they were. Illy's was resting at the bottom of the ocean, guarded by a creature very similar to Leviathan. Elysans was in the deepest forest under the protection of an ancient Treant... Laurens was Trapped inside a floating castle, it's Ward a monster of legend.. the great Tiamat, queen of evil dragons. And finally Alriys, The legendary masamune set inside the hellforge... A mighty temple set in the cavernous top of the largest volcano. The temple's guardian being the mighty hellkite dragon who's rage was unmatched and flames were hotter than the core of the earth. Each person saw a vision of their relics guardians except for the hellkite which all witnissed. It roared hellishly and uprighted it's body, wings outspread as it's chest heaved forcing out a gout of flame that flew so high that it fizzled a cloud floating high above the sky. cutting off the blaze the mythical beast looked forward growling and opened it's mouth to expell another heatwave of flame which was when every person awokened violently except for lacroix who just looked somewhat concerned at the thought of battling such beasts. Alriy was in a cold sweat. Looking around they found themselves back inside of the field where they had first gathered, his eyes taking in the sides. He rubbed at his eyes as the sun burned into the retinas forcing the pupils to dialate rapidly to adjust giving him a stabbing headache.

Phantom
Immersed in slumber, Ilythiirtar rests gently, his eyes never falter, closed, calm, the undoubting, rest assured feeling he is having is one of the purest, most thoughtless sleep of his life. The most steadfast nobleman would not be able to resist the stunning quills of the sea dragon?s forty winks quill of slumber?Dozing into the abyss of freedom, the master fails to wake up?instead, allows himself to be engrossed in the desires his mind lets him be wrapped up in. His first jaunt of thought led him to a mystic meadow, filled with petalblossoms, and willow trees. Reminiscing with his childhood, he runs through the meadow absentmindedly, only to watch his mother be shot down with ancient lore magic?he waits for them to leave, than reuniting with his dead mother? The day he lost his innocence? Second, his mind traveled through time and legroom, his love appeared at the door. A wink in her eye, he jumped to her, taking her in his arms. Yes they were only sixteen and in elfish that is almost infant? But it was his first love, and in mid kiss, mid embrace, halfway there halfway not? her soul, her life her encrustation of place value and meaning, taken away by a bane creature of soul stealing actinium. Her body to ashes, before his eyes? In a final embrace with eternal pain and suffering of the mind, he saw Eve?.Eve of all people his mind begins to wretch and turn, splintering, plummeting into the wall of hat and mistrust?his eyes are fooled?he sees his love with another man, and a part of him dies instantly. Tears do not flow from the sleeping elf, his fight for release never attained?the sleep is eating at him, and he can do little to nothing to stop it? he is losing his mind and every second he sees of his angel with the demon he so loathes?disintegrates his core. Phantom
Springing out of the lucent haze, Ilythiirtar's eyes glow a roguish yellow-grey. He is sweating; his torment ends with a flux of inconspicuous definition. His auras calm, the unsettling dream that had entrapped him were nothing but clericals of hate, the very seed of dense manifestation. Ilythiirtar: (keeping his thoughts to himself) "Yes Alriy, its quite likely so, since we all had them." Alriy: (nodding gently) "Suppose you are right Ilyth.." Knowing that they have a short time of outburst, joy and luck, Ilythiirtar packs his things. He knows where he is to go, alone or not, he still finds himself in a doom-like prison of naught. His mind trembles with a wave of tremor of quaver as his mind is shot into the brink of insanity. He drops to the ground once more, twitching madly. Imagery of the Hellkite once again splays his mind into chunks of rotting flesh. Looking at its wings unfold in an unholy flaunt its judiciary power, its vice of nothing more than an iniquity of pain, odium, and frustration. Looking down with its eyes of flame, rich beady vile crimson eyeballs of aghast, its gargantuan maw closes down over Ilythiirtar. With his life being wrought to an abrupt end, his death eminent. The interior of the Hellkite, Ilythiirtar observes, is nothing unalike to the outer appearance, the ghastly distinction of its corpulent ways disperse Ilythiirtar?s skin with a acerbic scathing precision. He wakes up from the flash of the Hellkite to realize, everyone else had the exact flash as he. His eyes poured out a vaporous trail of liquid, for a time when elves were not known to emit such toxins; it discouraged Ilythiirtar from moving, his body begun shaking, his mind set astir into another uncanny besiegement of his consciousness. OOC: im very sorry for this spam... i will be posting very scacely in all my rpgs...and i am sorry..i need a break from ob..
