She slightly shivered at remembering that. She had learned what had happened to her father and had lost it big time. Still, now was the time to forget all of that. The new fellowship was going after a new dark lord and she couldn't let the past effect her. She glanced up and thought for a few seconds that she saw someone in the trees. She stopped dead, and Lalaith who was walking behind, bumped into her.[/i] Lalaith: Oww...Ellsa whats up? Ellsa: I thought I saw someone or thing moving in the trees but it must've been the light playing tricks. Sorry. Lalaith: No problem...by the way where did you go after our first adventure? After a few days I went home to Gondor, to see my mother and half brother of sorts. When I got there I found her weeping. She'd learnt what happened to my father, my Elven father. Lalaith: What had happened? Ellsa: We thought that he had disappeared without trace on some sort of daft mission. It turned out that Sauruman(sp?) had caught him long ago. He turned my father into a Uki-hi (those wierd and seriously freaky Orc thingys). It was frightening to leanr that. I lost it. Lalaith: How d'you mean. Ellsa: I went insane...well almost. I didn't care about anything. I just wasn't thinking right. It was my brother who brought me back, got me back on the right track. Told me that I needed to go out into the world and find myself once again. I'm still looking...Lalaith do you think I'm myself? I mean the old Ellsa? [i]They spent the rest of the night hiking through the woods until sunrise when the edge of the forest could be seen. Finally, they sat down to take a little rest.[/i] Angel-Phew. It's about time we had a break. Indrid-tell me about it. My bread got so soggy that it melted into solid rock. Lalaith-We'll rest for about a half-hour, then we won't rest until we reach the ocean. I've heard some rumors about what's going on over there, and I'm not staying to find out if it's true or not! He had no family, and all his friends were here, except Sam. He hoped Sam would be ok. Recently Sam had been depressed and bored, but Abob figured now that he would be looking after Abob's house and land, he would have so much to do he wouldn't be able to be depressed. Abob went below deck and went to his small room. It was cramped, there was barely enough room for the small bed and a closet, but Abob didn't care. He placed his pack in the closet and hung his bow and quiver of arrows on the wall. Then he went back up on deck. The water was calm and the boat gently swayed from side to side. He walked to the bow of the boat and leaned against the rail, he looked down at the water as he pulled some dried and salted meat from his pocket. He placed it in his mouth and began to chew. A piece of the meat fell from his mouth into the water below, Abob cursed and watched as the meat floated for a second, than [B]snap![/B] A huge beast raised its triangular head from the water and swallowed the meat whole. Abob: "There is a monster, at the end of the ship." Ellsa: "You're kidding...right?!" Suddenly there is a roar and something hits the ship, Ellsa and Abob are knocked from their feet and fall over the side of the ship. The others run on deck, trying to figure out what is going on. Abob: "There is a sea monster near the bow, watch out." Ellsa: "Help! Someone throw us a rope!" Lalaith grabs a rope and throws it towards Ellsa and Abob.... [i]Abob and Ellsa started to swim towards it as fast as they could to the rope and they grabbed on tightly, but the sea monster came up to the surface, grabbed the rope between its jaws, and submerged again taking the rope, Abob, Ellsa, and Lalaith with it.[/i] Lauren-LALAITH!!! [i]Suddenly, the boat lurched forward and was being lifted from the water until it was nearly upside down. The man (who turned out to be the captain of the ship) ran to the rope that was still tied to the rail and drew his knife.[/i] Samantha-What are you doing?!?! captain-I'm gonna cut the rope before the beast sinks us all. Angel-You can't! Our companions are down there! captain-and so is that monster. [i]As the captain raised the knife, preparing to slash it down upon the rope, Ryan and Iondarc used a spell to stop the man before he could.[/i] Samantha-Grab the rope and pull! [i]Everyone grabbed the rope and pulled as hard as they could. Inch by inch and foot by foot they pulled until they heard a [/i] [b]snap![/b] [i] The rope had snapped. Everyone looked over the rail to where the sea monster had taken their three friends down to the unfathomable depths. Then they saw blood floating in the waves. They all held their breath and were hoping for the best. It seemed as if they would never come to the surface again when suddenly their heads popped up and gasped for air. Iondarc: We must stop this monster... Iondarc holds his staff out, the gem facing the monster. Ryan puts his hand on the staff, right below Iondarc's. A line or grey extended out into the water. A spalsh of water blew up into the air and up came the monster. The grey beam chocked the monster, it screaming in pain. But it had not been beaten, it looked the remaining fellowship in the eyes, and in seconds the boat was gone, and the beam broken. The fellowship, ironicly "fell" into the bloody water.. Angel was thrown down the other end of the boat and hit her head on a table, thankfully bolted in place. Indrid sprinted up to her, panickstricken from the possibility he might lose his best freind. He pulled Angel on deck as Iondarc and Ryan began to cast their spell. The ship rocked again as the spell was cast, and threw them both over board. Angel was still subconscious, but luckily was still breathing. Nothing out of place, it was strange. She looked down the beach and could see no one. she felt her heart sink. Could all of her friends really be lost at sea? She looked out and saw nothing but the water and the sky. She sank down onto her knees and cried, fearing for her friends. Then she heard a sound behind her, she turned and saw a small dog. It was black and had a white smudge on its chest. She beckond it towards her and held it tightly.[/i] ooc: Btw are we by any chance in the Undying lands?? Please someone tell me. I'll search for the others." Iondarc nodded and bent over Samantha. I stood up and looked around. I saw Indrid standing over Angel and ran over. "What's wrong with her?" Indrid said nothing, a semi-worried look on his face. I bent over Angel, taking a little sand in my hands. I sprinkled it over her chanting a healing spell. Her body lit up with light momentarily and then stopped. Angels eyes fluttered open, she smiled weakly and slipped into sleep. I gave Indrid a squeeze on the shoulder and ran across the sand, looking for the others. Seeing no one after about ten minutes of scouting I stopped. I traced a small symbol in the sand and it erupted in flame. The fire consumed my robe and I flew into the air. The view was amazing. Green, fertile land on one side of me, and blue sparkling ocean on the other. Too bad it was no time for sightseing. I twisted around looking for signs of movement. I saw the small section of beach I had come from. Four people stood there. No other movement was visible on the beaches. I floated back downward toward Iondarc and the others. Abob looked down and saw that the board he was clinging too was tethered by a thick rope to the sunken remains of their ship. Abob took his knife from his belt and was about to slice the rope so he could drift to shore, but then he got an idea. He took off his belt and knife and placed them on the board. Then he dove down to the sunken ship. Abob managed too get to his quarters and retrieve his potions, his bow and his arrows before he had to surface to breathe. He gasped for air and rested on the board for several minutes before he placed his recovered belongings on the sturdy board and cut the rope. [b]Ryan-[/b] "I saw no one. There was no one on our beach. There was no one in sight..." I sat down hard and sarched my robe for some herbs. If we could find no game we would have to eat them. I pulled out a 1/2 lbs. bag of Devil Grass. It had a horrible taste but was very nutritious, and the flavor subsided some if it was boiled. I looked over the treetops to see the sun just begin to creep below them. It would be dark soon. I grouped for my staff. It wasn't there. I rolled my eyes and scolded myself for just realizing I didn't have my staff. I lifted my hand in the air and threw some sand on it. My staff zoomed across the water shooting gigantic jets of steam into the air. It stopped about a foot in front of me and I picked it up with loving grace.
