Idea for Future Pok

I think that they should add a feature on future games that Pokémon of specific elements could get a power bonus from battling in a specific area Kinda like on Yu-Gi-Oh! how the cards on a specific field get a bonus, Any thoughts on this?

That would be interesting. But then it would make pokemon look even more desperat than it already is... And there's really no point in doing that since both yu-gi-oh and pokemon are made by the same ppl.

But then, as I said before, it would be interesting to have tose kind of power-ups:)

Bah I don't care how desperate Pokémon gets, I love it always. Yu-Gi-Oh is a cool show though. I watch it. =P They should make a version of Pokémon on GBA but instead of making 2 of them, make a sweet 3D version for the Cube. Now that is a good idea!

First off, there is a GBA Pokémon game being developed. It'll be released in the US sometime in 2003.

That sounds kind of interesting, but aren't type advantages enough? And really, why would certain types get an advantage just because they're in a certain part of the world? Doesn't make sense to me...

And when you say that Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh are made by the same people, Darkmoon, are you talking about the games or the anime?

I know but they are always trying to make the game more life like, and when the Pokémon are in there natural habitat they tend to do better, Just like if you use Sunny day or Rain Dance It makes attacks stronger, or more accurate.

Well, I was talking about both. But now I'm not sure about the games. A friend of mine told me that both pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh were done by the same people. It's also been said on alot of web sites I've visited (I was looking for a decent and trusty spoiler page).

The only thing I can think of that would make sense, for a certain Pokémon type having an advantage in a certain area, would be water Pokémon in the water. Like, when you're Surfing, then water Pokémon might get a bit of an advantage because they're in the water. Other than that, though, I can't think of any other places where it would make sense for a certain type to have an advantage.

Well, considering that the Pokémon games are published by Nintendo and the Yu-Gi-Oh games are published by Konami, I don't think they're made by the same developer... I know Pokémon games are developed by GameFreak (the GB/GBC ones, anyway). I don't know who developes the Yu-Gi-Oh games.

For the anime, it's highly possible, since GameFreak and Nintendo don't really have much to do with the Pokémon anime. It could be the same company, but the Pokémon anime doesn't have much to do with the games, except that the anime somewhat follows the story of the games.

:)
It sounds like a nice idea, though I was thinking if they wanted to put that idea into the game, they would have done so a while back, probably before the release of Gold/Silver, if not, in Gold/Silver. I think it's a bit too far into the series of games now to interpret a new idea.

I wouldn't say it's too late to put it into the new GBA games. Ruby and Sapphire will undoubtedly have new features, just like G/S introduced breeding. That's the whole point of a sequel, though, isn't it? To introduce new ideas, new features, and the like.

But anyway, I still don't like the idea... Refer to my previous two posts for my reasons... I dunno, it just wouldn't make sense in most situations.
