conpiracymonki
Some limits to be learnt, need an earlier limit to be done so-so many times. Other limits need a number of monsters to be killed by that person. So maybe you either haven't killed enough 'baddies', or maybe you need to set your limit level down one level, and perform a limit a few more times ;)
Guest ProudClod
Ok, AJ got it, but let me sum it up for you. In order to get the next limit break for a character, you have to perform your newest one a number of times in order to get the next. If you skip one unintentionally, just go back to the level you missed out on and set it, like AJ said. If you are looking for a particular characters limit break attack, just cast manipulate on an enemy, and let it continuosly hit that certain character until your limit bar is full, then use it, then repeat, you should soon get it. SephirothNIN
didn't I JUST go thru a whole limit break explaining thing in that other thread?!? Ack....ok I'll just tell u how Cloud learns his limit breaks and it's the same for everyone else except Vincent and Cait Sith. Cloud starts w/ Braver, and when he uses that 8 times he learns Cross Slash, when he kills 80 enemies he learns the lv2 limit Blade beam. You might get cross slash before blade beam who knows, once you switch to lv2 tho, using blade beam 8 times will let him learn climhazzard, and killing 80 more enemies will have him learn the lv3 limit Meteorain. You need all of the level 1, 2, and 3 limit breaks before you can learn the lv4. Then you just get the Omnislash item (from the battle arena at gold saucer) and use it like an item to teach it to him.
