That boss must be the Spectral Keeper! Use trigger commands to reposition your characters on any available fields. Cast haste on your characters, make sure you have armour resistant to berserk, if not, then have magic like Esuna, or items like Remedy at hand.

If you attack yhe Spectral Keeper, he will counter by attacking the three fields in front of him. So its imporant that you position the character with the most HP and the greatest attack in front of the creature, with the other two behind the Spectral Keeper. Use provoke to determine which character he attacks next.

Your character will lay Glyph Mines on two of the six fields. They explode after a number of turns, which will cause instant death, so work quickly.

Final Tip: If you have the secret aoen Yojimbo, summon him, with his overdrive full, it will defeat Spectral Keeper in one shot! Thats how I did it....:toothy:

*SPOILERS*....make sure you save your game, your going to have a tough battle with...well youve probably guessed it by now....good luck!

Summoning Yojimbo when his overdrive is full means nothing, no matter what move he uses when the overdrive's full, it clears after, it's how much you pay him that determines his attack. And if you want his 4th, insta-death move you need to pay him over $150,000, I forget the name of it, doubt it would work on bosses anyway. Aeons are good against spectral keeper because it'll keep all of your guys alive, although they will only get one move in before he kills them with the glyph. The next boss is harder though. The best thing to remember is that after the boss uses the move "Hellbiter", don't use holy water on everyone (the move auto-Zombies you), or else you'll get a game over when the boss uses Mega-Death, only zombies are immune to it =P. I forget but even deathproof might not save you, either way it's a tough battle.

The instant death move worked against Dark Valefore, i dont know if it counts as a boss...but it..um...worked. :)

OK guys, I beat the spectral keeper by using overdrive on all my aeons, but that turned out to be a mistake. I am now fighting Lady Yunalesca and I dont have any overdrives, I only have Grand Summon whihc will let me use Bahamuts overdrive once.

I keep using holy water to get rid of the zombie curses, but I guess that wasnt a good Idea because she used mega death on me, I got to her 3rd form. I put Hastega on all of my characters, and I put reflect on her.

someone help me with her because im haveing a hard time, let me know if any breaks work on her also. And will slow work?

Nope, she's a boss. None of that works. I suugest you have lots of remedies and holy potions. Give ONE person auto-potion. And make one of the others heal that person, while the auto-potion one, and the other attack. I use Yuna, Wakka and Auron.

Ok, I have auto potion on Rikku, but thats a part of her weapon, how do I get auot potion on anyone else?

For this battle I mainly use Tidus for Hastega and attacks, Auron for Attacks, and Yuna for Healing and Aeons. But I alos need to get everyone in there once to get credit for the battle.

Hmmm, Yunalesca...I warned you, lol!

Lady Yunalesca will always counter steal with sleep, so try to avoid that as much as possible. Auto-potion is a good move, but you may need to save some for later on, particularly the third battle. The zombie statuscan be annoying and difficult to deal with.

This is where it gets tricky, the third battle. You will notice that at the begining of this match (and later on), Yunalesca will cast mega-death, which will only have an effect if your characters arent in the zombie status, causing instant death, so its a good idea to keep at least one player in zombie. After she has casted zombie with regen, you will drastically lose HP, as if you were poisoned, you can prevent this by casting dispell, which will rid regen AND keep zombie (which is good for mega-death).

Ok sorry aboutt hat, but if someone doesnt have the game, then why owuld they bother coming int his thread? That is, unless they have the game but havent gotten that far.

Well, I kinda have to moderate this forum, which means I read everything that goes in and out of here... And I don't have FFX yet... I'm eagerly awaiting the PC release, so it would be nice if people put a spoiler warning, so nothing big about the story is spoiled for me. Thank you, and have a nice day. :box: - Desbreko

***spoilers*** (im not sure if there really is but just to please everyone i decided to put it)

when i faught lady yunalesca i cast hastega on everyone (i think it was yuna, tidus, and auron) and had yuna cast holy on her which really helped and on her 3rd and last form i used all my aeons in overdrive. hope that can help anyone.

Well hastega helps in every fight ><, I died 2x on Yunalesca tho, the first time I healed everyone of zombie and her mega-death wiped me out (she always uses it first thing), then the 2nd time thru....I did the same thing ><, forgot about mega-death >=\. Anyway I just had rikku (my fastest) w/ auto-remedy on so that she could heal people and everyone else could focus on attacking, holy DID do a lot of damage (especially w/ Yuna's Nirvana powered up. Otherwise it's a normal boss battle where you want to use your strongest moves (duh), and stay alive. Don't forget to pick up the sun crest (for Tidus) after the Yunalesca fight, it's in a treasure chest behind her, somewhat hidden.

to beat yunalesca just dont heal zombie and use phoniex downs when someone dies and keep attacking with tidus and auron and use lulu or yunas double cast firaga. cause if you keep healing zombie you'll either come victim to mega death or another hellbiter she only has like 50-60000 hp or try using osmose to get rid of her mp either way shes pretty easy just watch out for the dark aeons they're ridiculously strong.
