kelz_world
For those that are waiting with great expectation for the new arrival of the second movie. It won't be long now we LOTR's fans have only to wait another few months. It has taken over Harry Snotter (not a Harry Potter fan) hint, hint or could you guess. I hated the first one Harry Snotter and the Philosiphors stone (who cares how you spell it). Someone please reply and lets stop the reign of Harry Potter i'm sick and tired about hearing people selling magic wands, harry potter costumes etc in stores. Harry Potter drules and LOTR rules 4eva and eva.
Mist
I can't wait for the second part of the LOTR trilogy to be released, but I don't want to have to wait until November for its release. It's not fair!:D I don't really appreciate how you bashed Harry Potter, but it's reasonable because the movie wasn't as good as the book. I'm assume you've read them, or you'd have no right to bash in the first place. In full, I am impatient as well, and you're bashing was a bit immature. We're a more mature board here, *Pulls out machine gun*so watch what you say. :naughty: J/K!
Guest Matt
I cannot wait for the second LotR. But I also think it is childish the way you bash Harry Potter. I agree that the movie was bad, but the books are awesome.
Walnut
On behalf of Kelz (i'm one of her mates in the real world) I'd like to say that she loves the books and has read all of them. I'll talk her when I next get the chance.
Ninjaman
I'm looking forward to watching the next part. Which reminds me I had better finish reading Fellowship of the Ring, I stopped after I watched the movie! Shame on me! Anyways, your bashing on Harry Potter is very immature, I'd suggest you clean up your act.
OlgaTheDwarf
I am very excited for the Two Towers to come out!!! Tolkien was a genius!
amibasuki
I'm pretty hyped about the next movie. I'll admit I've never read any LOTR books, I've just never had the patience to read one all the way through. but yeah, the first movie was awesome. I seriously doubt the second one isn't gonna be as good as the first one.
Corey
I simply can't wait. The first movie was so great I think I'll read it after I'm done with the Dark Tower books by Stephen King. (Gotta love him);)
kizu
Yeah that movie look great. I saw MIB 2 and they had a preview of it. Oh it was a nice preview even though all I remember about it was that it look wonderful. I can't wait to see it. And since I have no idea what will happen in it I know I will really be able to enjoy every twist and turn the utmost. Well, that pretty much says that I haven't read the books there. One time I started to. I read the prologe but then I got a new GameCube game, and so the book went on the shelf and never bothered to finish it. Queen Asuka
Oh God, I'm going to have to go to the movies now just so I can see the trailer from LOTR 2 and see my sweet Legolas again...Oh my, oh my....Yes, I am in love with him, and he was so awesome throughout all three of the novels. I just wish I could find the magic portal to Middle Earth located somewhere in New Zealand and become an Elf Princess so I can marry him. Don't you guys think I'd make the perfect Elf? With my grace and beauty and everything? *laughs* Just joking of course....ANYWHO, YES, I am excited about the next movie, as if you couldn't tell. But even though I'm excited about that, I'm MORE excited for the release of the first movie on video/DVD on August 6th! That's less than a month away now! I'm so excited it's not even funny! And I liked the Harry Potter movie. Of COURSE it wasn't as good as the books, no movie ever is, but it was really cute and everything. I'm looking forward to watching the second one. And besides, little kids with British accents is the CUTEST thing! So yeah.... And DON'T bash the new member just because she doesn't like Harry Potter and chose to express her opinion. You'll make her feel unwelcome and she wont post around here anymore. How would you like it if you were in that situation? You WOULDN'T. She might be pretty young, so yeah. Be nice people. ;)
Semjaza
It's coming out in November? That's sooner than I thought. The nice thing is that the huge special edition DVD set of the first movie will be out that month too :). Fellowship was one of the best movies I had seen in a really long time. Queen Asuka
I think they are releasing it earlier than planned due to popular demand. And I don't think I can wait for the Special Edition DVD whenever it's coming out a month after the movie and everything. I'll just have to have what I can get when I can get it and stuff.

Queen Asuka
I KNEW IT! I knew it all ALONG! See, me and two of my friends just KNEW that the portal to Middle Earth was located in New Zealand. So Flash my friend, are you going to uh, hook me up there buddy? *leans over close to him and puts her arm over his shoulder*
NorykoAngelcry
Hmm. . if there are portals to Middle Earth over in New Zealand, what were those things I saw in Canada last time I visited? . . As for the movie. . *drools* It looks great. . can't wait to see it, but well, what can I do about it? ^_^ If you can't wait to see the preview Asuka, you can always go download the trailer from Quicktime. They always have the best presentation and easy to guide site there. The trailer can even be seen on a full screen, though it will obviously be a bit choppy. I saw it on the 'large' setting, and it was still enough to get very excited. Plus, seeing it from home saves you from drooling on people in front of you in movie theaters (ok. . so this must be something that only I do. . shadup!). Though I have never read the books, I have gotten a nice dose of the story from my manager at work (really cool/smart guy), who is practically going to kill me till I can see the movie on the big screen. *sighs* "Gotta wait till August till I can get the Fellowship of the Ring on DVD. "
Semjaza
I downloaded that trailer a bit ago, and I was surprised when it forced itself to be fullscreen like it was it's own program. I had no problems with chopiness though :). There is a 2 disc set for LotR coming out in like August. The 2 disc set, last I heard, was the only way to see the movie as it was in theaters. The special edition (aka the extended edition) is 4 discs, and that is what is coming out in November. The special edtion is going to have a bunch of new scenes added in. IGN says the movie itself is gonna take up 2 DVDs and be 208 minutes long. It's going to cost 40 bucks. The weirdest thing is that the 4 disc set does not include any of the special features the 2 disc set will have. So if you want everything, you're gonna be spending a lot of money :). There is also going to be a gift set for $80, that is going to include 2 bookends and some National Geographic special. This is it:
kelz_world
I don't know about u's but I'll be waiting until all three films will be out on DVD so I can buy the special Edition pack which will be released in summer/Autumn 2003-2004. That way your getting all movies in one bumber pack buying them seperately is gonna cost a bomb and plus you'll need to add on p+p (postage and packaging) as it hasn't yet been shipped over. I've heard you've gotta sign up to get the movies before they are released, living in England is a pain. You often miss out on many great things, I mean come on what's wrong with peeps today. :naughty:
Queen Asuka
Wow, that gift set is looking some kind of interesting. I hear the words "Christmas Present" ringing in my ears and hey, it's only July! I never have enough money to spend on things like that and I never ask my boyfriend to buy anything for me, so I have no clue how in the world I'm going to be able to get those. *sniffles* Oh well, I'm sure that if I want it bad enough, then I will be able to get it somehow. And I would download the trailor if I was at home...of course, I'd have to delete it again because I wouldn't want to take up space on the computer, but yeah...And I would probably drool, too....just the thought of seeing my Legolas again...Oh oh oh Legolas....ANYWAYS.... Oh, you should read the novels. They may be long, but they are well worth the read. They go more in depth than the movie does and are completely enjoyable and everything.
Anna
Heck yeah, I'm totally STOKED to see the next LOTR movie. It's going to be WARP 10 TO THE MAX DUDE! lol... nevermind me....

Anywho, I think that either Two Towers or Return of the King is going to be the best of the three. If the book is anything, I think the ending of Two Towers is going to be way more of a cliffhanger than it was in Fellowship.
Anna
>_< Gah, I need to actually finish the books...... I'm still in Fellowship! I haven't read since Christmas for crying out loud..... :p Well, I think I'm going to go download that trailer now so I can torture myself. kelz_world
I must be the only one that hasn't been able to settle down to read the LOTR's trilogy books. My dad's read them all and seems to know what will happen in the 2nd and 3rd films. He's sworn to me that when we do go and see them then he won't reveal the story to me, he still talk all the way through the film though I know what he's like. I'm bursting with excitement now I can hardly contain my nerves, I think that i'll go and see the second Harry Potter movie as well just to see if it's any good. According to cinema previews on sky digital the actors who play Harry and Ron when filming the movie had to make loads of takes because during the shots for the movie the two boys voices broke. Awwwww, there growing up so fast.
Semjaza
I read the books back when I was 12 or 13... I had no problem with The Hobbit, and I loved it. But Fellowship of the Ring, ugh. It was going fine until I got to the chapter on the Counsil of Elrond. It must have been at least 80 pages long, and it was just talking and talking and talking about any little thing that could possibly be talked about. That chapter took me 2 weeks to finish because I couldn't stand it. The rest of the book was about a week total haha. I'm SO glad the movie compressed that part into like 5 minutes. Queen Asuka
It too me the longest time to get into the book because of the VERY beginning, at Bilbo's birthday party. I must have read that chapter like 70 times before I finally just started reading the book with the INTENT to complete it finally. And I fell in love with it and absolutely couldn't put it down. And the thing with Harry Potter is, actually, they had to dub over Harry's voice towards the end of the first movie because his voice was changing and it wasn't as childish anymore. So yeah, I can totally understand the voice change thing. I think it's cute though because the whole thing throughout the books is them changing and growing up and getting more mature. And speaking of Harry Potter, does anyone know for sure the release date for the fifth book because I am about to die waiting for it...
