Ray
Anyone living in the South to Central regions of Texas know exactly what I'm talking about. About 4 years ago, in 1998, the areas around San Antonio and New Braunfels had a bad flood that's been labled a 200 year flood due to the chance of it happening .5% every year. Now, starting six of seven days ago the same areas were hit with continuous nightly rains. If you have experienced both of them you know how wierd and impossible seeming this is. Luckily only 2 people have died (through fault of their own), but the damage done could end up being worse then four years ago. We so far lost the whole bridge to our damn and another damn threatened to break. What does anyone else think about this?
Char!
Yes, I heard about this on the news. It's terrible that people have died, but these floods are apparently natural. And unless the water is acid rain, you can only blame nature. You'll just have to deal with it, I suppose. Are you experiencing these floods firsthand? If you are, then good luck, and keep your computer dry. :)
Ryan
Well I don't live in those parts, I live in the plains. I am from Lubbock, Texas and I was planning to go to San Antonio but because of this I can't now. Horrible...
Amphion
I know what your talking about. I turned on my tv today and I saw a house float by. I feel really bad for all those people. They have lost everything. I hope it will end soon so they can start rebuilding their lives. Terrible...
Guest Matt
I also saw it on the news. Being from Massachuestts and living on a hill, we never get flooded. I feel real bad for all the people being effected by the flooding.
Juu
whoa,... Yeah I've heard about those. One happened near korea some time ago... I think it was also in 1998. or 97.... well anyways, It was getting flooded real bad, then all o a sudden it got to like, 101 degrees! It's really sad for those people that get affected... I've never been through a flood before, but, when I watch the news and see it happening, it's just terrible how so many people get left homeless afterwards. DeathKnight
Heh. You have no idea how bad it is. I'm on the 200 year flood line and I almost had to evacuate from my house due to the usually completely dry gully area next to my house turning into an 8 foot wide river. The damage was really severe... There is no street infront of my house anymore. Well. Not much of one. Its was ripped apart from the water. The creek itself next to our house got 2 feet from flooding the Driveway. The foot deep stream that was flowing down the road DID go into the Driveway, flooding the first 2-3 feet of our garage. That was just on the Northwest side in a Hilly area....

Kinetic
I live in Texas, but I'm in the DFW region. I heard about the flood, and I think it's awful to see people losing their houses, and all hope. We would have a tough time getting flooded up here because we are on a hill (Arlington), but not I live in Tornado Valley, and the storms are really scary up here. I really hate nature. Boo
I mostly hate it too. I even hate it because of those stupid bees and stuff  But more because all of the suffer it caused. Why?
Vegeta
Well, now I am at my grandmas, and my house is probably floating. One morning I woke up, and the whole house was soaked, I was up to my knees in water. When we left to stay somewhere dry our car stalled because of the water. We spent 4 hours in the rain waiting for a cab. When the cab came he took us to the airport where we spent uncountable hours waiting for a plane we didn't have tickets too yet. When we arrived at my grandmas we dryed off, and I got all my prized possesions out. My ps2 wont work and my computer was fryed...........bad times. Roxie Faye
Yeah, I heard about all the flooding. I think they're also getting some of the rain in Luisiana. I know this guy who used to go to my school but then moved to Luisiana. I was talking to him online the other day. He told me it was raining really bad where he lived. After a while, he told me he had to go because the canal might overflow. I'm sure it's horrble. :( I live on the northeast coast, an back a couple years, when "hurricane" Floyd came(the insurance companies wouldn't pay for ANYTHING because Floyd was scientifically classified as a "tropical strom". Screw insurance). Well, in my town. the stupid house building companies had built homes RIGHT INTO THE SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN(there's a mountain where I live, incase you didn't get that. ;)). Well, there was a huge mud slide, these GIGANTIC bouldrs came crashing through a few homes. :( Luckily i wasn't there. Floyd was REALLY bad.
Corey
:wow: Jeeze... The worst thing that ever happened to me is that our basement backed up with sewage. God that was horrible... It still smell vaugly like sewage in the corners. I hope you will be ok Ray. And if you have to evacuate grab your computer first ;)
Roxie Faye
Or, if your computer is slow, just leave it behind and hopefully your parents will get a new one. ;) Yeah, Floyd was pretty bad. I remember one of the elementary schools was closed for two days, because the powerline was down. P.S.
