Really, any music can be foreign. It just depends on where you live. Someone who live in India can say they listen to American music, and that is forgein to them.

But anyway, thanks to Transtic Nerves' influence and persistence with Japanese music, I'd say that is the main "foreign" music I listen to. And then I know a couple Australian bands, so I guess that's "foreign". It's all on the same level to me though, I don't really think of them as foreign. I only think of something as foreign if it is a completely different style or form that what I am used to... and that isn't really the case in the "foreign" music I listen to.

I like Japanese and Filipino. (Duh, I'm from the Phillippines... )

I find Japanse music different and I guess you could say, diverse. The mainstream of "popular" American music is just bs, so tuning into a good Japanese jazz or rock band is quite comforting. Pretty good stuff, that Japanese music. (Although Audiogalaxy saw it fit to remove all foreign music...bastards...):D

I like filipino music (which mostly consists just remixes of sucky american music made better and songs in about a ba jillion languages) because it reminds me of a home that I miss, yet I don't know. I lean towards the female kind of music when it comes to that. (Not boy bands, but the females themselves.)

I like Korean (duh I'm korean lol) and japanese. I don't know why, but they just seem to have a real good, live beat to them. They're all so easy to dance to!! Anyways, I love Fink'l, lee jeung hyun, ses, h.o.t., erm.... etc.. ^_^'

WHEE! S.E.S.! I wuv dem. They have happy songs. However thats the extent of my Korean music library.

Anyway, the majority of music I listen to is foriegn. I live in America, but I 80% of the time find myself listening to Japanese or European music. The extent of my Euro-music resides in Techno/Trance music. But as far as Japanese music goes, I listen to all types of it.

My extent of Korean music is about three songs that BoA sings... of course, they're her Japanese songs.

In other words I basically have not heard Korean music -_- I'm too lazy and busy trying to keep up with Japanese music... *can't wait for kagerou's new releases*

Really all I've listened to that is another language is Faye Wong (mainly the song "Up to the Brambles," which is my favorite), BoA and Akino Arai. I like Guitar Vader as well, but most of the songs I've heard are all in English more or less. Oh, and Dragon Ash.

Cibo Matto has some french and spanish songs I love as well, but I guess that isn't really "forgein".

LOL, but I really think japanese and korean music are pretty much the same. *shrugs* except male japanese siner's songs have a lil different twist too em....
Japanese and Korean music are not the same. Since I haven't heard any Korean music I can't say much more than that, but I can tell you that much is true. I can point out many differences in the two.

I like Europian music because im from Europe. I mostly like the present time music. But I also like classical. It helps me relax. And I've never heard Japanese music or Korean. But from the looks of it most of you do. I will look it up and see if I like it.

For foreign music, I'm mostly into European rock like RadioHead and their Electronica (Oakenfold). I also listen to a lot of J-pop and J-rock since I have a lot of friends who listen to that as well. There's a couple of Australian rock bands that I enjoy too, like The Vines and Disturbed.

Also, I recently started listening to some Filipino artists who haven't really seen the light of the mainstream yet, but they've got some good stuff when they get on stage. Mostly rock and techno there too.

Well, Japanese and Korean Pop sound pretty much the same to me....
And what the lyrics mean... They're also very similar. so.. to me they sound pretty similar. Well, the female artists at least....
Japanese boy bands sound pretty different than korean though. I can tell you that much.

I'm filipino too. :) You like Lea Salonga, Sharon Cuneta, Jocelyn Enriquez..and more? Do you like the girl groups?

J-music and K-music is mostly what I listen to that is foreign.

I love finKL and s.e.s. That one girl from finKL..what's her name again?? She's like the main one. They say she's turning into a hoe though or whatever. F that, she's hot.

Since I love everything about the French language and the French culture, I also love French music. One of my favorite groups is Zazi (I honestly could be spelling that wrong), and Yannick has also produced some good songs ^_~

 • 1 year later...
Actually, the bulk of the songs I own and have in my archive are foreign, they outnumber my English-spoken songs by a good... 1000. Nowadays, I tend to listen to anything that I think is nice, I couldn't care for the language it's in or the background of the band.

Right now I'm into MC*Solaar. Their album 'Cinquieme' has got some really authentic tracks and their single 'Hasta La Vista' has been one of my on going favourites for quite a while now. I've got a thing for Arabic music, too. Even if I have no idea what's being said, the songs themselves are quite pleasant and can easily change the surrounding moods.

The most striking though, is any song that's in Spanish/Latin. The language is just so rapid and fast that it's hard to pinpoint a depressing theme or tune in any of them, and the solo guitar pieces are amazingly soothing. So, in a way, they're pretty idealistic.
