jamez
at the end (almost) of FFX you have to beat both arms and then the core of sin. then he flys off or whatever, but when you go to fight him again his overdrive can kill and aeon and all your party in one hit what do i do to stop this!! please help
SephirothNIN
You simply have to kill Sin before he uses his overdrive to insta-kill you. He has...what 120,000hp? Or was it 140,000?.....either way, get your overdrives ready to use before the battle! You have to do as much damage as you can so having ultimate weapons completely powered up so you can break the max damage. Just keep using your strongest attacks, and don't worry about protection or healing. The only attack sin uses is Gravija(or something like that), and it takes off a % of your HP so you'll never get below 0. Use sensor in the battle, and if he still has a lot of HP (more than 30,000) when he uses his final attack, you need to get more sphere levels, ultimate weapons, more overdrives, SOMETHING. Remember that short-range attacks won't work until you get a lot closer to Sin so throw things or use magic until then.

SephirothNIN
Jecht is ez what are you talking about? Heh I didn't even notice he had a 2nd form he was so easy. Don't waste your time w/ the Magus Sisters' overdrive, they'll do a lot more damage just taking individual turns. When you use the sisters, have Cindy (the tubby one) use the "help each other" command, she'll use auto-life or cure depending on what you need. Have Sandy and Mindy attack . The stronger your Yuna is the more damage they'll do, til eventually they're doing 99,999 w/ regular attacks. Anyway Jecht doesn't have many good attacks...not much HP anyway. If you beat the last Sin he should be a piece of cake. Use Rikku's mix and combine a lunar and light curtain to make a super mighty guard if you really need help. Mitch
Here's the way I beat him. I got Yuna and Lulu to the holy sphere square...from there just cast Holy non-stop and use Ethers to replenish your characters MP. You're having trouble with the final boss battle?? It's easier than beating Sin. I wasted him, if you can't beat him, go to the Omega Ruins and train your characters and it should be as easy as pie. I mean, my Yuna does 36,000 damage casting Ultima, and has doublecast, so that made the final battle even easier. Either that or charge up all the ultimate weapons. Sensei-San
SPOILERS Braska's Final Aeon....hmmmmm...... The two pillars either side of Braska's Final Aeon (Yu Pagoda) regenerate his overdrive bar and his HP by 1500 or so, so if you're stressing over these, it maybe a good idea to destroy them. Each one has 5000 HP, though it will increase after every time you destroy one, since they re-appear after a couple of rounds. If you do decide to attack them, beware of the Osmose attack, which can cause some unpleasent status effects. Although your opponent is pretty formidable during the first half, you should keep your Aeons in reserve for the second round. You'll have no choice but to use Haste, Protect, and Regen....and you could do with some protection against Petrification. You can use Tidus' talk command to reduce Braska's Final Aeon's overdrive gauge, but you can only do this twice, so you may want to save this for the second half where his overdrive attack is even more devastating. The Jecht shot will zombify you. Depending on your defence, your opponent's normal attack could cost you 2000 HP or more. Use Rikku to mix Mega Vitality and Hyper Vitality, this will double the HP of all three of your party member. Yuna or Rikku could find Holy quite successful. Lulu's Flare or Ultima (especially when Doublecast) could also prove pretty effective. After the first round Braska's Final Aeon will draw a mighty sword. Although his Attacks methods remain the same, they will inflict rather more damage this time. Once his HP drops below 60000, he'll unleash the ultimate Jecht Shot. This formidable Overdrive will hit all characters, inflicting up to 5000 HP. As in the first half of the battle, you'll find Haste, Protect, and Regen vital, as well as anything else that maintains HP levels. You'll find matters a lot simpler if you've mastered Auto-Life and if you happen to have armour with 1 MP cost END SPOILERS

GinnyLyn
Speaking as someone who beat FFX just a few days ago (Auron!), beating Sin, Jecht, and others is SIMPLE. Anima's attack. Not Pain. Not Overdrive. Just attack with him. That way you avoid nasty side effects, and the like. The way I pulled it all off? Anima attacked all parts of Sin, then I used Bahamut on Jecht's first form and when Bahamut dropped, I let Anima finish Jecht off. My total time for all the final bosses was less than 20 minutes. Not a cheap shot. If it was, they should have never put Anima in as an usable Aeon in the first place. *grin*
Progressive
I suggest Using Yojimbo then anima
GinnyLyn
Mmmm, the only reason I had Yojimbo was to say I had him. Didn't like the idea of chunking money at him everytime I wanted him to attack. I know, I know...at the end of the game, what does it matter? IMO, Yojimbo isn't all that great (and to think that he and Auron's Masamune are connected...*growls*, just like Valefor and Yuna's Nirvana are connected, and so on, so for, *shuts up before saying anything else*...not really a spoiler, because the game never tells you what happens, but something does, so I'll hush now.). Guest Steiner
heres what i did whenever he got up his overdrive, just before he used it i would send in one of my lesser Aeons like Ixion or Valefor and they would take the dmage and your team members would still be alive and also his Overdrive bar would be at the start agian..... ducky_feet
The final battles really aren't that hard, especially if you've spent time developing your character's abilities. I didn't have to use any aeons or overdrives for any of the final boss battles. I just had Tidus and Auron doing regular attacks and had Yuna casting Holy, with all three of them equipped with their legendary weapons. None of the final bosses took more than 3 hits before they died. If you can make it through the Omega Ruins, just make another round through the ruins and you should be leveled up enough to get through the final battles without too much trouble.
