I thought, since there wasn't already a topic, that we may discuss this third installment of Austin Powers. :)

Personally, I think this movie is the most anticipated of the summer, but that's just me. Obviously, it's the comedy that I awaiting, since it's been just too long since the second one.

From the previews, it looks to have a lot of old things, as well as a lot of new. Sounds good to me, but the only thing I'm particularly worried about is if they make jokes that play off the second and first movie, the way the second one played off the first.

I can't wait until the end of this month to see the movie. What are you views on it?

I've been waiting for this movie to come out for some time as well, but it seems too me that Goldmember hasn't gotten a lot of advertising. I don't know, maybe I don't watch enough TV.

It dose look good and I hope its as good as the first two(becuase I doubt it will be better).

I'm definately going to see it, since I loved the second one so much, I really hope they have minime, and fat B**tard, because those two were hillarious!

Heh, they are indeed both going to make an appearence. :)

Speaking of which, I believe that the main plot of overtaking the world this time has something to do with making people mini. That, and sickening everyone with a clip of Fat Bastard taking a shower ::shudder::, both of which were in the previews of Mr. Deeds.

Hmm, you forgot the "Chili's Baby back ribs".

Well from this movie I know that we all are expecting a LOT of sex jokes. And well, lets be honest is there any joke that is funny that doesn't invole sex in some form. And well there is no person who could make a sex joke like Austin powers. I think that is the main reason the everyone goes to see the movies.

There are a lot of funny jokes that do not invole sex. It's just a lot of Austin Power's jokes involve sex.

I wasn't a fan of the second either... But I loved the first one. The opening music number was great, the whole sex joke thing at the end was so well done and the music video that Austin sings during the credits was great. I'll probably wait til I can rent Goldmember though, mostly because it's just looking like more of the same.

Austin Powers - Goldmember, personally, I'm really looking forward to it. I think Man in Black 2 and Austin Powers - Goldmember are the best movie in this Summer. But I guess Austin Powers - Goldmember will be a little bit better. Personally, I really love comedy movies. And Austin Powers - Goldmember is one of the comedy movies. I really enjoyed first and second one. That's one of the reasons that I'm looking forward to it. I'm going to see that, and hopefully, it will be hillarious!!!

That movie has to be hard for Mike Myers to do. He's playing four parts in that movie: Austin, Dr. Evil, Fat *****rd, and Goldmember.
Are you serious?! He's playing Goldmember?! LOL, I love how he plays so many main characters, especailly when he starts arguing with one of them, heh.

By the way, did anyone else here, as a first regard to the movie months ago, hear that everyone would be a mini-me version of themselves? Obviously we know this isn't completely true, but I am interested to know to what degree this is true.

I'm definately gonna see it. But So far it's been just about the same.
I'm starting to wonder what happened to felicity.... hopely, she's not a fembott either..... u.u'
anyways, the only part I liked in The spy who shagged me' was the beginning, when he did the lil "that means I'm single again!!" joke. LOL, -and i'm not too big ova fan of heather G. (LOL, I don't know how to spell her last name) ^_^'

Yes, I've been wondering too, and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if she WAS a fembot.

Like last time, they are probably playing off the last movie left and right, and the fembot will be one of those incidents.

Austin will be like, "Man, baaby, I can't believe I didn't see this one coming."

Well, yeah, and it won't be that funny, either.

I actually saw Austin Powers 2 at the cinema...before I saw the first (I had never seen the first; I ended up watching it on VHS a while after I saw the second at the movies).

When I saw the second one at the movies I was surprised at how funny it was. lol

The jokes were all no brainers...but some of the expressions/situations/sayings were hilarious. I definitely prefer the second one.

I'm not sure how this third one will be...some of it does seem to be heavily drawing from the previous movies in terms of jokes.

I'd really like to see some new, fresh jokes. I'm sure it'll be pretty good, regardless...but probably not as good as the second one.

I dunno if it's in the actual movie or not... But when I saw a movie at the theatre a while back (It might have been LotR, I forget), they had a preview for Goldmember. It was this really weird musical number where everyone was mini-mes. I think Austin himself was played by the guy who is Mini-Me in the movie. It was honestly the weirdest thing I saw in a while, but really funny.

I had the same experience, LOL.

I saw the second at the movie theatre, then later saw the first on VHS. I still think the second one is funnier though, heh, even though it came out when I was 12 or something. As you said, each joke was a no brainer.

As for your analysis with the jokes, that is exactly what I've been trying to say this whole time, heh.

Semjaza Azazel, I believe that is indeed the clip that started the rumor of everyone being their mini-me versions. I never saw Lord of the Rings, which would explain why I never saw the clip, but many people did, and started commenting based on what was thought to be the actual plot of the third movie.

But now we know that is not completely true. I remember seeing a clip in Mr. Deeds about the movie, however, there was only one scene with a mini Austin Powers.
