OOC: MysticDarkElf IS in this, as I need someone to fill Raven's place.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sun set as Firemyst Ashblade's funeral pyre was lit. The brave and benevolent dragoon had given his life to save a young girl from a dragon's flames. His soul arose to Heaven, where he met with a strange fate. God himself appointed him to a special team of operatives, the point of which to retrieve the DragonHeart, the very heartjewel of a demonlord. Alongside him stood others who had died saving a life, or such things that deserved retribution. The reward for recapturing the DragonHeart...resurrection as a Holy Knight. All seven of the "operatives" willingly accepted this challenge. Their names were...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A'ight, people. For now, just post what you did to earn the chance at resurrection. I'll start the quest after that.

... Enter Mara Lockhart.

She smiled benovolently at the new arrival, her silent, yet watchful, eye following his every move. Her twirled a lock of raven hair, curling on its on.

Her jade green eyes turned from him lazily, her interrest in the new arrival vanishing within an instant. She shook her head, her pale hand still fussing with her hair.

Well, she thought, I suppose it's time to meet my partner.

Standing only six feet, Haas? slouched over humped back demeanor proved quite deceiving. The advancing Glock Minions had no clue what they were in for.

Glock#1: (veering at Haas) ?Get off lord Sepet?s land or I will be forced to club you? You dumb hunch backed orgre!?

OOC: Heh, finaly an easy name?.
IC:Haas: (spinning violently, revealing his twin Dasmir shields) ?Dindum satar!?

Dashing onwards barbarically at the two Glocks, Haas had the element of surprise. The minions were ones to be contended with, and being Sepet?s elite guards, they had voice with power backing it. This meant nothing to Haas, who was here on a mission of god, to stop the ?Sepet Foundry of Unholy Armaments? to distribute their goods to the already growing supply of dark magic wielding sorcerers. Only a juggernaut such as himself with his skill would be able to infiltrate the foundry and destroy Sepet without being killed along the way.

Raising his twin shields, he spins monastically, dropping the two guards almost silently with the swish of his razor-sharp shield tips. With his ebony cloak hung over his gorged body, he walks on curtly.

Not realizing (his main weakness, He is a moron.) he was being followed by two Midnight Cruzzirs, their disjointed maws hung open, allowing a thin trail of slime to be emitted behind them. Even though they are nearly invisible to the eye, the sound they resonate is quite unmistakable. A low bone popping reverberation that is easy to hear if in earshot. However in his haste he does not keep an eye on his aft. And the Cruzzirs take advantage of that, one behind him, and one ?cruzzing? (an almost ancient form of amphorication.) before him.

Once before Haas, the cruzzir spreads its translucent body into a thin, sheet-like membrane, for the dumb juggernaut to walk into. Only sensing the cruzzir as it is too late, he fruitlessly draws his Dasmir?l (left handed shield) in an attempt to slice through the cuss-like slime. Before long, the poison in the cruzzir?s membranous tissue put him to sleep by a mixture of suffocation and poison.

Days later, Haas wakes up, finding himself in a cell. Surrounded by rats, whose little razor-like teeth have been eating at his body for five days now, he jumps, knocking the first hundred off with one swipe, his mighty fist killing most of the rats that were dumb enough to stay for a last morsel of human flesh. The rest jumped off him in a smart evasion of death.

Haas?s body was one tenth eaten, and he was loosing blood rapidly? His Dasmir shields where taken from him and he was going to die for sure if he didn?t do something fast? After many attempts at barging through the door, he makes it?only to be greeted at the throne of lord Sepet himself. The evil lord just snickered, laughing as he threw four serpent-like flaming ?ropes? of magic, twisting and whirling in the air as they veered at Haas violently.

Heedless of his strength, Haas was captured in the razor-rope.. The second the dark lord pulled at the black mana?st-filled rope of flames (which would surely slice him in two?.

He wakes up in a deep cold sweat, his old friend Mara jumps to his side?.

Mara: ?Was beginning to wonder if you would wake at all good friend? Haas you have been sleeping for days. We went out on three operations without you!?

Haas: (rubbing his eyes) ?What??

Mara: ?Nevermind? Well, I still think you should tell us why you were given a chance at resurrection.?

Haas: (stubbornly) ?Like I said, I was only a townsfolk? I don?t even know how I died!?

Mara: ?Pfft..?

OOC: OMG! An easy name...
---------------------------
Mara grinned.

"For some odd reason," she replied, her voice laced with sarcasm, "I don't believe that."

Haas shrugged.

"Believe what you want, dear friend," he said, getting up groggily, "but I tell only the truth."

Mara shook her head.

"Whatever." she said, her bored eye darting around her.

Haas just ignored her.

"Sheesh," she exclaimed, propping her head on her wrists, "there's never anything to do around here!"

Raistlin, stood there casting the spell to grant his freind eternal life, forfieting him. Raistlin stood, watching himself decintergrate. In a brillaint flash oh white, he was gone, and then in he woke up. Lying on a white floor, of a material he was not familiar with. He saw three people standing there, one a beautiful woman and the other two men. He stood up greeted them all, kissing the woman on her hand. He walked over to a tree, pulled off an apple and ate it, leaning on his staff.

OOC: Not sure if this fits, but I just wouldn't feel right playing it any other way. This is refreshingly opposite to my For Lo! If Death Should Have A Face rpg. Gives me a sense of perspective at least...

The tortured drow ran on. The wound in his side bled profusely, weakening him by the minute. Worse, it led the tracking dogs onwards.

The pain blurred Lacroix's mind. Thoughts, memories, feelings ran amok through his mind. In his derangement, Lacroix suddenly found he had boxed himself in. The cave ahead seemed the only refuge available. Lacroix stumbled in, only to note at the last minute a fire was lit part way in.

Nine feet tall, and barrelwide, the ogre bulked massive compared to the lithe drow. With a toothy grin, the ogre grabbed its club to claim its supper.

Lacroix staggered, leanign against the cave wall for support. The ogre walked in, smashing at Lacroix's head. But the drow had already moved. Lacroix ducked and spun, both reaper knives coming out of their sheathes as he rose. And straight into the ogre's heart and throat. Exhausted, Lacroix dragged himself further into the cave, hoping the ogre's scent would deter the dogs. His hope was in vain.

Within minutes, the crowd of peasants that had been chasing him turned up, the twisted mage at their fore. The mage smiled, then cast a rippling incantation. The peasants, who had merely been trying to kill an assassin, and a dark elf to boot, shied away. A scintillating shimmer appeared, then congealed into a demon. Not a large one, but enough.

Lacroix wearily got to his feet. His stood, poised, outlined blood red in the fire light. His feet were apart, knives in ritual pose, the diamantine blades flickering in the fire light. The demon laughed and advanced. Very soon, it had devoured the drow completely.

Lacroix awoke to a strange place. Ethereal, uncanny. Lacroix checked himself over. He had his weapons, and his wounds were gone. He got up, and looked full into the face of a being he had never thought existed. The sheer aura of the being could only mean one thing.

Lacroix: So you're God.

God merely inclined his head, and informed Lacroix that he had been chosen for a special quest. Or tried to. It's pretty hard to inform someone of anything when they're trying to hit you in the face...

After being forcibly subdued, Lacroix eagerly went along with the plan. There was still a mage out there, with a familiar demon that needed...disposing of... And if he didn't fit in with the rather astranged group around him, well, that was nothing new.

OOC:Since when did my character become beautiful? Oh well, I'm not complaining!
----------------------------------------------------

Mara smiled.

"So," she said, taking a step towads the man, "What's your name?"

The man shrugged.

"Raistlin." he replied simply.

"You don't like to talk to you?" she inquired quietly.

He nodded as Mara let out an exassperated sigh.

"No one does...makes me wish a woman would die right now and hang out with me." she grumbled.

Haas laughed, as he gripped Mara's shoulders.

"Get a grip, young one." he said as Mara shrugged him off.

Firemist looked at the three, his mouth inclined to stay closed. They all abruptly stopped teasing Mara and turned to him.

"We never gave you a proper greeting, did we?" Mara asked lightly.

OOC NOTE: To any who wish to use my C in their posts for speaking terms please state what element has control of his personality by his name, use this post as referrence.

The Black Dragon had already consumed a larger portion of the town in it's baleful flames. It dipped, opened it's maw, and let out a gush of greenish black flame over another part of the town. Alriy the single man, the only one who would stand up to the dragon rode a wind current strengthened by his magic up to meet the beast.

Alriy:(air) Stop this madness! This is pointless death!

Dragon: They have failed to appease me, they have no purpose but death!

Alriy: Then I will have to force you to stop!

The dragon opened it's huge mouth laughing evilly as it shoots a gout of flame at Alriy. His body gathering a black aura about him.

Alriy: Circle of power!!!

the conglomeration of elemental energy slams into the dragon as he is vaporized by the flame, the dragons mangled husk of a body falling to the floor lifelessly.

Alriy wakes up, several other's in his presense. he looked among the group from behind the magical shroud of darkness his hood produced. crossing his arms with the rod in one hand he tilts his head to the side examining each person in turn.

Alriy:(earth) where am I?

Hunter began talking to Alriy, at which point a portal began to open. The gate to Hell was going to open completely when the rest of the "operatives" arrived. Hunter stood fast, realizing he had a new pair of wings. He tried them out, the new appendages glistening a brilliant blue in the lighted glimmer of Heaven. His spear was now a CyanSpear, and his eyes gleamed aquamarine instead of their former brown. His hair, however, remained the same. He appreciated his new look, and his new armor.

Haas heads to the newcomers, being the longest running member of the ?force? , it was his obligation to introduce the members accordingly. Haas and Mara traded glances, as they looked at Alriy and Hunter.

Haas: (ranting) ?Fine, but just because he is cute doesn?t mean you have to maul him!?

Mara: (smiling sweetly) ?Thank you?besides it?s only flirting..?

Haas just shakes his head at the minute female. Thinking to himself, Haas figures that she needs another of her ?kind? around so she would stop being such a pest. Walking to Alriy, Hunter, and Raistlin with an extended left hand, Haas greets the stranger friendly smile. It is hard not to smile at this oaf. His giant face is like a teddy bear. He either scares his opponents to bereavement, or pacifies them to sleep with his casual face.

Haas: ?My name is Haas, and well I guess God himself has chosen you three to join us in this?well whatever it is, you are going to be fighting evil so yeh..?

The three newcomers: (collectively) ?Yah?.?

Sighing, as another one comes, he waves to Mara, who was already clung to Hunter, motioning her to introduce the new one (lacroix) to the entourage. As he so puts it.

Now alone again as he is well accustomed, Haas re-fits himself into his new heavenly wardrobe. His Balrog Skin armor fits his large figure nicely? But most of all he loves his twin gilded shields, the twin Dakrs. He already decided that the dhatstar will be his primary as the Dindum was in name of his god. And would only be used offensively during his special attacks.

His white eyes gleam fluidly as he returns to the group? Dressed up and looking rather intimidating, all but his eyes, which seem to erase all of the fear that he may generate. The general approval of his new companions is all he needs, as he sits slumped in his well grooved chair.

Mara: (walking to him) ?Haas, looking all spiffy?wanted to show off or something? Hehe?

Haas: (simply shrugs, his game face set upon his warm visage) ?Just waiting to get everyone, so we can get out there, y?know?? (points to the Dindum slung on his back) ?That is what keeps me going??

OOC: Hey, Phantom, just so you know. My C's name in this is Firemyst, nicknamed Hunter. Just so ya don't confuse him with Fox Hunter, or Serenol. Damn, I got too many C's!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Firemyst struggled to keep his arm awake as Mara hung on it. He yawned as he whipped out his longsword, Lanasen. He stared at the blade, the memory of his death fresh in his mind...

flashback

Girl:Daddy, help me!

Man:I can't! Marin! I can't get to you!

Firemyst:James! Don't worry! I'll get the dragon! Get Marin out of here, bro!

Marin:Uncle Fiore! Don't do it!

Dragon:Mwhaha! I'll see you in Hell, "Fiore"!

Firemyst:Stop calling me by my family name!

As James and his daughter ran from the burning building, the dragon, named Sharisna, grabbed Firemyst, in the same instant that Firemyst rammed his spear into the beast's heart. Firemyst's blood poured from a wound, and a burning beam fell onto his head, bringing him to death.

Sharisna:Fool! You cannot...kill..the..ruler...of...Hell!...I w..ill...re..t.u....rn...!

Firemyst:And I...will be... the angel... that...st...ri...kes... y...ou...d...own...!

flashback over

Firemyst gasped. He'd never realized it, but Sharisna looked like the target that possessed the DragonHeart. He clutched his necklace, the RainGem named Myst. He recieved it when his best friend, and dragon, died. It was a Silver Dragon that spent most of her time in human form. Her heart was his, but now her heartjewel was his. It allowed for his dragonoid transmogrification. A tear slid down his cheek as he thought of Myst...and vowed to kill her killer, Sharisna! He spoke to Haas, and Mara.

Firemyst:I care not for pleasantries. I will speak more later, though I prefer calm conversation. I hope Hell has some pubs.

God:Hell? Who said anything about Hell? Hell is earth. You are going to come back to life, though your spirits will be, in all respects but one, dead. You will destroy the beast, Sharisna, but be forewarned. Now that you all have tasted the fruits of Heaven, earth's impurity will confuse and muddle you.

Firemyst:It already did! I was born confused! I hated that place, because it tore from me all I had to live for! Don't tell me about muddled and confused! I know what it's like to be outcast! Let Myst speak to me, and then I shall acknowledge this "request"!

Necklace:All you needed was to aks for me. Now that you have died, I will be able to speak with you again, Fiore.

Firemyst:Ummm....Okay, I acknowledge the request. Anyone else that I should know about?

OOC: Enter Namida...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fire rose all around her as Namida and Koru ran through the forest as it went up in flames all around them. Running swiftly the Elemental daughter of the forest reached a clearing. Her eyes widened with horror, as Koru, jumped at the Daeep Black dragon, which was causing her preachous forest ot suffer. Namida screamed, feelign the pain of her forest. the darkness in her showing through her forest elf attire.

Taking her bladed staff she jumped, slickign the dragon, almost beheading it. She screamed as Koru hit a nearby tree, almost dead.

The dragon turned to her fireing a blast of flames. Being to weak to move She glaned around, wathcing the shadows flicker as the passionate flames engulfed her forest. The moonlight caught her eyes as she glared deeply to the dragons.

The instant the fire hit her body she screamed...

Awakening slowly, she could feel Koru's soft fur under her arm. Lookign around in shock. Her darling was laying under her arm..alive! And her cloths had not changed at all, except now, they no longer blended with the darks of her forest but the cloth was a bright white and the antlers on the back of her cloak as well as the golden part of her attire already was, shone a brillant gold. She urned her head looking to her staff laying at her other side, the wood of it shining brightly, and the once silver blade was now golden, a white indentation spiraling all the way down it.

Looking up she noticed she wasnt alone.

She noticed only one girl and the other guys looked somewhat scary. Unitl...

Namida: ALRIY!

Alriys eyes widened as he went to her, helping her up. Namida then bent and picked her staff up in her left hand and Koru stood, comfortably sliding his head under her right hand.

Moveing her right hand up she half hugged Alriy. Smileing.

Namida: Ok..So, where am I?

She looked around, seing everyone was dressed in the same heaven like attire as she...

Namida: Wait.. am I....dead...
The dragon.. I remebr..feelign the pain, trying to save my forest...

Alriy just nodded as Namida took in everything....

Namida: I'm Namida... Child of Darkness and the Daughter of the forest. Um.. Please..to meet..you..

Namida seemed to be in shock still as ashe looked around Koru seeming to be scared rubed up gently to Namida's side...

Alriy's eyes brightened seeing Namida, immediately sticking to her side... after all she was the only person there he really knew.. the glowing white orbs representing his eyes turned a slight shade of blue. Sky blue to be exact. He smiles from behind his masking hood. It's been so many years since he seen her last, he was wondering if she even lived... i guess this proved that she did not.

Alriy: It is good to see you again old friend. How have you been? Oh, where are my manners... this is lacroix, haas, mara, and Raistlin... Everyone.. This is my good friend Namida. (looking to namida) No i don't know them really just their names cause i've been here for a few talking to them...

*He pulls his cloak around his toned body, deciding not to show anyone what he looks like except for his long slender hands. He looked over each person in turn examining them closely. The way they look, their posture, any items or weapons seen, even the very look in their eyes. Alriy had always been a man of detail, though never speaking much to any who had not gained his trust. Finally his gaze rested upon Namida, Beautiful as ever as elve's normally are. Her darkened skin and flowing hair made her heavenly garments radiate making both her and her clothing even more beautiful. He smiled slightly through his hood and somehow she knew he was because she smiled back.

Alriy: So what is this big holy mission we're going to do again? All i know is we gotta kill something.

Haas: We have to go back and kill a demon lord and take it's heart, or something...

Alriy nodded slightly, yet not quite understanding why he was chosen for something like this. He would have been better off going wherever he was meant to go when he died. He passed honorably and protecting the innocent, so why didnt' they let him pass on instead of pulling him out of the coil for this one final mission? It doesnt' matter really, what matters is that he was chosen. At least he'd have a friend on this mission, someone to talk to. His eyes traveled to the rest of the group again.

Alriy: So, when do we leave?

OOC: Nice weapon. Hell is earth then. Interesting.

IC:Lacroix wondered why it really mattered when they left. To a realm of immortals, time was pretty much immaterial. Unless these sentimental bastards held some kind of concern for those still alive. But didn't they want those alive to join them in heaven? Lacroix reverted into old habits, blending into the background. His discreet habits tended to counfound more openminded people, his solitary nature being misconstrued as lonliness. Whatever came along, Lacroix was ready for it. Emotionally, he couldn't be any other way.

Haas just sat, thinking, his chair overly large and accommodating, just perfect for this oafish juggernaut. His great arms rest firmly on the ebony oak arm support. Looking at Lacroix in mid thought, he realizes that he is not the only one who wishes to be kept alone to his thoughts. Nodding at the lithe assassin, his solid white eyes conveying the straightforward message, thus allowing Haas to drift off into further thought.

Haas still wonders why he is there. At best. He was only a mediocre warrior, nothing more than a shield wielding gigantor? nothing special.
Breaking from his thought, he gazes over at the two sets of couples, Alriy and Namida seemed to be kicking off?Same with Hunter and Mara. Stretching his back with a mighty yawn, Haas stood and walked to Lacroix, tapping his shoulder as he leaves the room

Haas: ?Stop observing us?.you are ONE of us now..?

Firemyst stood, his eyes flickering sadly. He looked over to the party, and walked over to Namida. He held out his hand to both she and Haas, stating his family information.

Firemyst:I am sorry I did not introduce myself. I am Firemyst Ashblade, named Ashblade by my wishes. My true last name is Ashenmyst. My father was a man named Serenol, my mother was... a certain woman in this party. I have a sister whose name I do not know, and I have a brother named James, who is married to a Gold Dragon, transformed human, named Artea. The dragon's blood is inside me, as well, so I am part dragon. Look at my eyes and know I am not lying.

As he spoke, the portal opened completely, bringing the party back to Earth, each one with a body matching the original of each. Everyone was alive again, yet by no means immortal. They were physically, magically, and mentally stronger. They were on a quest to regain the heartjewel of Sharisna...

Marveling, eyes wide, thoughts deep? for the first time in a long while, Haas felt superior to something?Looking around at the rest of the operatives, he noticed that there was a heavenly glow to them all. Veering off to the side, keeping to himself, he examined his Dakrs, marveling yet more at their perfection...After spending the last thirty seconds in disbelief, the juggernaut calmed himself, noting that he was not alone in this collective exasperation of combined divinity of oneself.

Mara: ?I swear, we have to do this more often!?

Haas: (in-mock) ?Quiet fool! This is only a figment of your imagination!?

The group shared a laugh at the oaf?s tacky but uplifting remark, sharing in what might seem to be the last laugh for a while, as Firemyst announced the next bidding of god, and again silence would reign.

Firemyst: (sighing) ?Haas, Mara, thank you both, but this is no time for high jinks. Let us begin this holy quest? Be damned if we cannot complete this??

Alriy: (Fire) (to Namida) ?I hope he isn?t always like this, heh?

Namida just nodded, clutching her bladed staff with an unpleasant denotation on her captive visage, the gist of seriousness run across all of the warriors, mages, and assassins of this kinfolk.

Lacroix: (in deep thought) ?Take this incantation of my will and soul, give me the strength and will to complete this mission, Amin ah oh cantor salab ca heti no??

Haas: (again patting the assassin?s shoulder) ?Remember that you are one of us. Never lose trust in me for one??

Simply shaking off the comment, somewhat angered at the rude as well as abrupt interlude of his thoughts, Lacroix nodded passively, actually seeing this giant for what he is. Deciding to take the offer of trust most oddly, Lacroix reached out, taking the ogre-like fellow?s hand, expressing recognition of his allegiance to this man.

The group as a whole had settled down, observing their new environment?

OOC: The only one who KNOWS the setting is john and i dont want to make it up, for it will make the rpg worse...and Lacroix was most understandably observing the surroundings from the second they got there, so yea...hehe...this is gona be a fun Rp.. :)

Haas: (at the base of Firemyst?s tree) ?So I am not the only one who is being haunted by my past??

Firemyst: (looking down at the juggernaut) ?Pfft! Haunted? Not I??

Shrugging off the obvious lie, Haas stands, walking in toward the nearby brook, leaving in his wake an unjust trail of blood. Wondering how in the name of God he could have a cut, Haas just cleaned the wound on the surface of his forearm, the plane of skin etched with the seal of lord Sepet. The haunting images flash through his head in a blaze of strobeing (sp?) light. Dropping to the ground with a great clunk as his heavy armor delivered a great thud on the ground. Eyes black, (complete opposite to normal) His mind shuddered with a dark envelopement.

Namida was the first to hear the thud of weight on the ground. For the juggernaut?s impact was actually silent, she felt through the ground, a disturbance in the life of her earth. She rushed to the fallen companion and with the help of Lacroix, who was almost as quick to feel the disturbance, only because he was farther away from the seismic disruption. They picked the gigantor up and set him against the closest tree, an elm.

Mara: (just arriving on scene) ?Christ Haas, it is still getting to you?? (Rubbing over his eyes, which she found usually helped remove the noir immurements of his eyes.) ?..Come now, Haas, we are here??

Namida: ?Hey Haas?rest, we all get these too..?

Following the order deftly, Haas immediately dozes unperturbed in his relaxing respite.

The rest of the night develops without conflict, the rest of the party slept nearly soundly until the sun burst through the tree line, waking Mara, Alriy, and Namida? Firemyst, Haas and Lacroix already awake, scanning the environment.

Firemyst stared up at the stars, the tears drying on his face. A fresh onslaught of them came out as he thought of the family he'd lost, and he fell from the tree as the pain overwhelmed his body. As he hit the ground, Namida ran forward to see if he was alright. As she checked his unconscious form, she found a locket containing a picture of a girl with gold hair and silver eyes. Inscribed under the picture was a single word. Myst.

Namida:So he did love somebody. Amazing a man like him actually cries. Who's this Myst girl, though?

Firemyst awakened, his eyes bleary and unfocused. Namida jumped back, the locket still in her hand.

Firemyst:Where's my locket?

Namida:Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't think you'd mind.

Firemyst:I don't. Just be careful with it. And Myst... died. A long time ago.

The heartjewel set in the necklace he wore aside from his locket began to glow, telling Firemyst that there was a Stone Golem headed their way. And it was under Sharisna's control.

Withdrawn, apart from the group, Lacroix too sensed the approach of the golem. However, knives and agility were of little use against a stone golem. Possessing no soul, his spiritullly damning magic would have no effect. Lacroix was more inclined to watch how these others reacted in battle, then waste the energy chipping a stone golem to piececs. Not that he hadn't done that a time or two...

So he withdrew even further. Disappearing from view and even further from thought, waiting for the attack.

Raistlin: Killing this one will be a problem! I hate Shield Guardians.

Raistlin took flight, and began to chant the ancient language of magik. He spun his staff around himself once and brought it to a stop with the blade pointing towards the guardian. In time with this action he screamed the last word of his chant, as a giant ball of ice appeared from his staff and started screaming towards the guardian. The ball struck the golem and he shatterred. Never to reform again.
