Extreme Off-Roading

I just had my first extreme off-roading experiance today. A friend and I decided to ride through a park. I stopped when I saw a path. We took off down it and, well, came to a pretty steep drop unexpectedly. We both flew down the hill narrowly avoiding trees and rocks. My heart was in my chest. My stomach was shoved up into my throat. Then we got to the bottom. The entire ride was worth it because after a short ride through another trail we came across a man-made dirt bike park!

::Shakes head to clear it::
Do any of you off-road?

Were you on a bike or a dirt bike or something? I like to ride my 4-wheeler ALOT, that was, until we had to sell it. But me and my sister used to ride through the woods behind my house and race and stuff and when it would rain we would go down through there and go through the deep mud puddles and get soaked and have chunks of mud hanging off of us. Those were the days...I miss my baby...*sniffles* I hated going UP hills, though, but down hill...now that was another story! :D

This reminds me, and I don't know if this is just a southern thing, but do people go mud bogging? That is the most fun thing in the world to do in a four wheel drive. I haven't been in forever, and the last time I did, I was on my 4-wheeler, which is way more fun because you actually get muddy and everything, but yeah...

Four-wheelers! :devil: I have some fun four-wheeler experiences, too. My friend owns three of them and she has a huge property, so us girls pile on to the four-wheelers and go racing through the woods like little wild animals. It's all rather fun ^_^

Me and my sister got in trouble for racing and everything. My dad would be like telling us to quit, and we'd deny having done it, but then he would point out all the ruts we made in the woods on the trail tearing up the ground and everything. I think everyone should own a 4-wheeler! Of course, my Ryan hates them and thinks they are dangerous, but he's so lucky because he OWNS one! We had to sell ours... *sniffles*

Lessee. The most extreme thing I've ever done on any kind of bike was riding off a 4 foot ledge. Heh, maybe if I knew there was a 4 foot ledge there I wouldn't have been riding backwards...

My sister did something like that one time. We were at my grandfather's house, and we didn't really know the terrain all that well, but we were racing, and I saw the drop off so I swerved and went around, but she didn't know it was there and kept going and she went right over the edge of it. She almost flew over the handlebars. It was sort of scary, but I laughed anyway. And she did, too. Of course, now we always bring it up as a joke, but yeah...

I was riding a normal mountain bike in responce to Queen Asukas question. And I just now realized that I phrased something wrong. It was not a dirt-bike park, it was a bike park made of dirt. You are all so lucky. I never have had the chance to go off-roading in a 4-wheeler. Being only 15 and very short on cash, I can't afford to take Drivers-Ed yet. I should go with my friend and his dad in their Jeep.

I don't have my liscence either, but I do have the right to drive a 4-wheeler! Especially since we owned it and everything! :D But yeah, I DID have a wreck one time on it... See the thing was, I was racing my sister and she was ahead of me and I was trying to watch her and catch up at the same time and I was on a very narrow part of the trail surrounded by a million little growing pine trees and I clipped one and it jerked the handle bars and then I just HIT one and it made me fall off the side, my leg getting stuck under the motor and I got the CRAP burned out of me. Now I have a very odd looking scar there. But yeah, I thought it was funny when it happened and I still laugh about it.

I have never done any real extreme off roading, but there is this big field across the street from my school. After school sometimes a bunch of us drive over their and just mess around doiong doughnuts and stuff. Nothing to big. The teachers hate it and have tried to make us quit. But one of the guys with us owns the land so there is nothing they can do about it. Some freinds of mine go Mud riding in their trucks, but all I have is a nice Mirage so I try and stick to the street, where we have plenty of fun.

hmm..... duh I can't drive yet.... so nothing EXTREME...
well anyway, my dad just loves to golf. He eats, sleeps, dreams, lives golf. Anyway, he dragged me to one of his games. I decided to drive the lil caddy car. ^_^' now that, was a big mistake. It depends what mood I'm in though... well anyway, we had to go up a hill,... I drove up the hill, no problem. Now, when I was driving down.... we started speeding down,... (It was really steep)
We were about to hit another car in front of us, so I took a right turn. We sorta hit one of the flags, and almost hit a couple o ppl........... ^^' Sounds dangerous? I'm even worse when it comes to car-racing video games. O.O'

I haven't really been off-roading ever.....the closest to it would have to be riding around in a bumpy paddock on a motorbike.....though I don't really want to talk to much about that, particularly because it, or rather I, ended up badly... :drunk:

Though your experience sounded pretty heart-pounding....sure, it mightv'e been scary, but I'm sure you thought it was fun somewhere in there... :demon:
