Final Fantasy 3:Nonexistance(PLAY!!!)

Heartless Me

Good Job, everyone made it... If anyone else would like to join, I'll let 3 more people in, just pm me with your character and I'll tell you if your in or not.

On a second note, every character will have recurring dreams though they may be a derivative of the main dream(Tristam's).

-------------------------------------------

Sunlight hit the back of Tristam's Eyelids causing them to open and snap shut as the suns rays burned into his retina's.

Tristam: Gah! Why does that sun have to shine so bright.

He stretched and layed there for a few moments. Letting his body relax after his daily nightmare.

It was the same every time, a darkness falls over the entire planet as it is enclosed in a gigantic fist of sorts. As the dream progresses, the fist clenches about the earth polluting the water and killing the land. The scene shifts there. Showing a huge colloseum type structure filled with black and white robed figures. The figures were all of the same approximate heighth and weight with no definable facial features. It was as if their faces were magically hidden by the hoods they wore. In the center of the structure was a titanic heart, beating steadily. Spreading out from the heart the pulsating veins spread in all directions, digging into the ground. A vision, illusionary if you will of a golden helmut appearing over the heart nearly crushing it under it's grip. The robed figures start to fade away as if being killed by the hearts pain. The heart beats more rapidly trying to feed the ground as much life as possible before it is crushed under the weight of the seemingly imaginary helmut. It was this time that Tristam would awaken from his dreams. It was so often that he no longer awakened with a scream and a puddle of cold sweat around him.

Finally getting out of the tent he let it fizzle into magical nonexistance as he walked to the nearest stream to clean himself up.

Jamisons eyes snaped open at the first song of the crow his face was pale and he had cotton mouth as he stood up from his oaken and straw cot in the abandoned mining cave on the outskirts of larso he sliped his grey sleevless tunic and chain mail vest on then then his boots as he opened his hand and concentrated for a near second his wooden staff flying into his hands as he smiled thinking.......~The dreams were so vivid it was like he was there enjoying the helmut's crushing of the heart but there was something strange about this dream he kept on seeing kefka's face flash in the backround~ But he enjoyed the dreams none the less ~the killing of the espers and the desperate attempt for the heart to pump~ He laughed a bit to himself as he steped outside to find a stream to wash up for the day ahead and get rid of his damn dry mouth how it bothered him so but there was another irritating factor...... the crow that always woke him up early in the day and today was not a good day to interupt his dreams as he lifts his hand griping it into a palm as the bird litterally exploded Jamison smiled at his doing

jamison: maybe now i will be able to see the full destruction of this worthless planet........maybe not really but dreams are good enough

Jamison finally laughed for the first time today as he set out to find the stream

The dream was the same as it always was. I was walking throught the forest again. The tall redwoods waved their braches at me from high above. I leaned against a particularly tall one and closed my eyes. A great rumble filled the air. The birds flew south from their perches on the redwoods. I looked north, toward the sound. Something was wrong. I dashed out of the forest, northbound, towards an open field. I exploded out of the brush and crained my head upward. The sky had taken on a red tint. Towards the horizon a line of black had formed over the trees. Something was nagging me in the back of my mind. This looked familiar somehow. The air suddely got heavy and hot. I dropped to one knee breathing hard, my skin turning red from the heat. I looked up, wincing at the sweat that dribbled into my eyes. The trees were smoking, their bark turning black. The first, far off on the horizon burst into flames. Another, close to it did the same. And another, and another, and another... The forest was being burned to the ground. The heat was more intence now. Most of the forest was on fire now. My robe smoldered, despite the fact that it was silver mesh. It melted and ran down my body, leaving horrible burns and ruptures. My hair lit up with a small fwoosh. I dropped to the other knee. The heat seemed to intensify. I couldn't breath anymore. All the fire was consuming the air. The last of my cloths burned away, leaving me defenceless to the roaring blaze. My skin lit on fire as if it was doused with raw oil. I opened my eyes, threw my head back and screamed into the fire ridden forest.

~"Help! Somebody help me!" "There's noone here to help you, they hate you." "No! My brother loves me!" "No. He hates you the most." "Leave me alone!" "Mwahahahahahaha!" "Nooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!"~

Tyron: *jumps all sweated out of the bed* Why? Why is this dream following me since that I was a little boy?

Tyron walked over too the window.

Tyron: This world will never change if noone does a thing about it.*sigh*

Fox looked out his window, clenching his spear. He was snapped to attention by his master, Mog.

Mog:Kupo kupopo kop!

Fox:What? I am no "destined", and Kefka's power died with him. I can't journey with anyone else! Now please hand me that wrench. All I gotta do is tighten this bolt, and Figaro oughta be able to go back to Kohlingen. Damn, it'll be good to get home!

Fox had worked on Figaro with help from his master, the age-old Mog, for the last 10 years. Now, he had it working. He turned the lever, and it began to move. Half-way through, it stopped. He began to quest through the ruins, and he found the reains of an esper, Odin. He found the statue of a queen, and he recieved the jewel from her crown as a gift. He found that by using the jewel with his gauntlet, he had a Genji glove. He returned to the castle, and he pulled the lever again. When he walked out of the castle, it was in the Kohlingen desert.

ooc: Hi sorry I'm a little late in posting but I was away at the weekend and couldn't get to a computer.

IC: Shadow greeted the sun with please. It had almost been four hours since the drea or nightmare. she was not usually a one for sleeping at night but when she did the heart would be there, pumping in a desperate struggle. The golden object coming close to her, almost crushing her and a strange manic laught. It frighten her often, but she kept it quite.

she glanced down the street and could see no one. 'That's strange?' she thought and then remembered that no one would be up yet, except a few traveller's and the odd stall or two. she walked along and looked into what could possibly be descrided as the Main Street. Life here was dull and momnotiums(sp?). Nothing of interest to her ever happened here, but something kept her there. she had no idea what but something stopped her from leaving.

She looked around and decided that it was best to sit down and wait for the town people to be clumsy enough to let her take their money away from them. Shadow slumped down on a fountain and listened to the sounds. Nothing, aboslutly nothing.

Shadow: Why am I stuck here? No where to go and nothing to do. I must be mad. That dream though what did it mean. I should stop asking that, no one knows and if I ever find out what it means I'll probably just die or burst out laughting.

She leaned back and decied to wait again, as she had always done.

I sat straight up in bed. The sweat dripped off of my body onto the white sheets I slept on. Without thought I cooled the room a good ten degrees. My body broke out in gooseflesh and I toweled the sweat off of my body. My room was rather small. I liked it that way. It was something I could keep clean. I stood up, shuddering at the dream. I put on a pair of undergarments and wrapped a robe around my body. I flung my hair back and tied it back. I stepped towards the door and stopped. Something was wrong. There was no noise in the house.
I grabbed my knife and slowly slid the door open. I stepped out into the hall, the robe not fully tied. I opened the bathroom door and looked inside cautiously. Nothing... Nohing but a rusted toilet and a small sink. I stepped around the door and moved quietly into the kitchen. Something was also wrong here, but what I could not tell. I scoured the room, looking for something out of place. I looked toward the pot rack, then the sin, then the window. I looked from the kitchen to the front door. The lock was broken. I gripped my knife tightly and moved toward my parents room. I pressed my ear against the door. There was no noise from here either. There was none of my fathers constant snoring. I grabbed the knob and slowly pushed it open.
I stood there, stupified by what I saw. I turned back toward the kitchen and was finally able to place what was missing. One of the knifes from the counter was gone. I turned from the kitchen back toward to my parents room. I walked int, losing my knife and letting it clang to the ground. My parents layed there, almost like they were still sleeping. Only I knew better. The blood on the sheets and the gash on their throats spoke all that needed to be known. Their eyes layed closed. The look of sleep still on their faces. There was no struggle, there was no fight. They were killed while they slept. I looked to the far wall, towards the closet. It was where we kept the money. It was gone. Everything in the closet was gone. I put my head in my hands and cried. Later today I would bury them. And then... Well who knows.

Fox sat there, admiring the scenery in the Kohlingen desert. Suddenly, a sputtering noise from the back of the castle rapted his attention. The castle had broken down again. Fox hung his head, got up, and walked to Kohlingen, dealing with the Sand Rays and Rohbites that messed with him. His spear trailing the sand, he exited the cool desert, and walked into Kohlingen, a mile away from the desert. He walked into his house first, knowing who awaited him. His undying greatx200 grandparent, Locke and Celes.

Locke:Well, hello there Fox! It's so good to see you again!

Fox:Hi Grampa. It's good to be home. How are you, Gram?

Celes:As long as I look young, and as long as my family's here, I'm okay.

Locke:Well, kiddo. How goes the engineering? It's amazing you took after Edgar and not me.

Fox:Well, not everybody wants to be a thief, Grampa.

Locke:That's TREASURE HUNTER!!!

The esper magic in Locke and Celes' bodies somehow kept them alive, and they retained their youthful looks. However, Locke had long-since given up "treasure hunting", and now lived a peaceful life. The reunion was cut short, however, when a cloud of bomns descended on the village. Locke grabbed his Illumina, Celes grabbed a Regal Cutlass, and Fox unslung his spears. He strapped on his Genji Glove, and walked out. He battled fiercely, losing sight of his grandparents. When the fight was over, he found them. Dead. The center of the village was torched, and so were Locke and Celes...

Shadow looked around, still no one any where. Something was up. even at this time in the morning someone would be in a rush to find something or other, but today nothing even stirred. she got up and looked towards the rampants of the town and got a fine surprise.

Shadow: Wha..? where's the guards. They usually tell me to push off when they spot me, but then again where is anyone?

She started down the street, looking in windows and shop entrances. No one was any where in the town. and what was even weirder was that everything of use was gone. Wepons, food, potions, armour and personal items and money all gone. Now things were starting to freak Shadow out.

She heard a sound behind her and turned around fast. There stood a Mog, but it was different than most Mog's that she had seen.

Shadow: Who are you?

Mog: I have no name to give you, Shadow, all I come to do is warn you

Shadow: What? Why would anyone wanna warn me? And how do you know my name?

Mog: All will be revlied to you, later, as for now I would run. Run as far away from this place as you possibly can. Find your true destiny before the evil finds you

Shadow stood there speechless. Before she could enquire what it was on about, it disappeared and a strange silence fell over the town. Fear set in her heart and she heard the sounds of people running. As she turned she saw a wild pack of men, with knives and axes running stright towards the town. She paniced and ran as fast as she could. there was a stream near to the town and she knew once she reached it she would be safe.

Tristam heard a buzzing sound as he cleaned himself in the river... his eyes widened as he suddenly seen it, over 50 bombs swarming over the kohlingen converging on the center of the town, his eyes widen as the explosions ensue.

Tristam: NO! All those people!!!

He bursts into an all out run towards the city, but when he get's there he is too late... the center of teh town had been reduced to ash and a huge crater lingered in the ground. The center of the crater was still smoke filled but the last lingering bits of mist were still apparent as the smoke cleared. Tristam rubbed his eyes not believing what he saw. A cave? in the bottom of the dead center of Kohlingen? that's just messed up.

Fox had been knocked unconscious by the final Bomb. He dreamt...

*Those kool ripple thingies affect the scene*

Fox stood in a forest, his eyes set on something in the distance. It was an odd person, dressed in odd clothes. He was surrounded by armored vehicles, and Fox vaguely recognized them as Magi-Tek armor from his textbooks and engineering manuals. He ran through the forest, towards the figure. "It" held out a sword, the Illumina. He tossed it away, off into the distance, and suddenly Fox was alone, on an ashen plain, the world torn and disrupted by some odd force. He looked around and saw a spear in the ground. It spoke to him, clling him "destined one". He grabbed at it, but just as his hand closed around it...

*ripple, ripple, ripple*

He awoke. His face dripped with sweat, and he noticed that Locke's body had lost the Illumina. The weapon was now lost...forever. Fox saw a person in front of him, staring into a LARGE cavern. He walked up, thinking of the dream that had haunted him since his birth.

My parents bodies were not heavy. I was more than strong enough to carry them. It took me the least amount of time to dig the graves. I performed two quick Quake spells and just opened up the earth. I eased their bodies down with an Aero spell and covered them with loose earth. I marked their graves with small carved stones. I knelt before the graves and prayed for them. I usually wasn't much of a religious man but I figured they would want me to do it. I stood up and walked back into the house. I had cleaned up their room earlier. There was no blood left anywhere. I removed all things of value from the ohuse and put them into a magical pack. I walked outside of the house with the pack and looked back upon it. I had spent as long as I could remember in this house. I helped protect it. I helped work in it. I loved in it. Now I would return it to the earth.
I raised my hand. Around the foundation of the house fire erupted. It burned fast and bright. The wood was old. I watched untill it was gone. I used ice spells to extinguish the last of the fires and walked into the fields of corn we used to tend. I put about twenty ears into my pack and started my journey to town.

OOC: Sorry guys, i had a temporary lack of muse...

Alriy snapped out of his self induced trance and blinked... how could a cave be hidden under Kohlingen for so long? what could be in there? These were all things he was wondering about. Well he'd never find out just standing there so he made a few agile leaps and landed at the bottom of the crater. The earth was still warm from the battle with the bombs, parts of the ground turned to glass from the intense heat the monsters give off when they explode. He blinked a few times and looked back up at the stranger standing at the top of the crater.

Tristan: Well, whoever you are... you gonna come down here and give me a hand or are you just going to stand there dumfounded?

Entering the cave he looked around. The inner walls of the cave became illuminated from the lichen stuck theirin. He looked deep within the cave, it stretched farther than he could see. He could see quite a ways though which worried him because he saw many shambling figures in the darkness.

Fox unslung his spears and jumped in, shaking away his fears. He walked into the cave, prepared to fight. He dealt with a few Lobos and Vomammoths, but nothing much. He stood beside Tristam, prepared for the worst, except maybe a Whelk or Kefka.

jamison stood there smirking at the two and their dealing with the "monsters" he shakes his head as he sighs standing atop a rock face that was churned up in the making of the crater he tucked his staff under his arm as he clapped a bit laughing at the same time tristan and the other man unkown to him drew their weapons as he hopped down looking at the two as he speaks finally in his usually low toned voice

jamison: put your weapons away or shall i help you

suddenly the two men are pinned to opposite walls of the crater jamisons face twisting into another smirk as he keeps them pinned his arms aimed at them both to channel the psionic energys he starts to ball his hands into fists the pressure increasing greatly pushing them harder against the stone they both drop their weapons as jamison finally lets them down the two gasping for air as he walks back to the rock face

jamison: get away from my home...........

Fox broke free and picked up his spears. He looked at Jamison with a pissed-off look in his eyes. He was still raging at the memory of Locke and Celes' deaths, and they were the only real family he had. He jumped to the roof of the cavern, aiming his spears toward the ceiling.

Fox:You can join us, or you can die. Which is it?

Jamison:Idle threat, boy!

Fox:Bad answer. SPEAR RAIN!

A shower of magically created spears fell onto Jamison, injuring him. He was pinned to the wall when the onslaught ended.

Fox:So. What is your choice? Or shall I do it again, this time with all my power and magic?

My trip to town was uneventful. The only thing that was actually jumping was my mind. I had finally come to terms with my parents death, by starting a tree on fire. As it burned down I realized that I had gotten over the horrible ordeal of my parents murder.
I stepped into the bustling town with a smile on my face. This was the first day of the rest of my life. The twn was crowded. Merchants on the streets, higher price items inside of shops. A weapons shop, a magic shop, a potion shop. Anything you could imagine, it was here. I walked into the magic shop, just for curiocities sake. The man behnd the counter was old, and badly shaven.
???- "What can O'Riely get you son?" I looked around.
Ryan- "What's that?" I said pointing at a severed finger.
O'Riely- "That is the finger of Kefka! It will grant you increased healing power. 700 Gold!"
Ryan- "I really don't know any healing spells. All I know are elemental attacks." O'Riely looked at me for a long time. He grabbed a box from beneath the counter.
O'Riely- "I came into this a long time ago. It will tell me what type of magic user you are. Put your hand in the box, palm up." I did. The symbols on the top of the box all lit up. I felt a blast of cold air fall onto my hand. Three of the symbols flickered off. Then another, and another, untill all that was left was the symbol with the elements on it. Air, water, ice, fire and earth. He knoded. "An Elementalist. I haven't seen one of you for quite some time. Here take this. It will do you more good than it will do me. Only 20 gold." He handed me a medalion on a leather band. It was a necklace. I put it on and it imediately flashed to the shape of a rock. "And your a Quake master! How rare!" I paid the man and left the shop. My earthen powers felt quite a bit more powerful. Maybe I had just graduated into the 3rd magic of Quake.

jamison looked at the spears potruding from his arms and lets as he smiles the crimson plume of his blood exiting him as soon as the spears stuck they were gone shatred to be exact from a blast of psionic energy jamison fell to the ground as he stood up his wounds still gushing the crimson liquid he ran his hand down his arms and legs he found each wound and sealed it with a psionic like band-aid until he could heal them later then he simply looked up at the man who threw the spears speaking again in his low tone

jamison: well come on with the magic

fox: FINE THEN SPEAR R..........UGHHH

just at fox was about to do another of his techniques he was slamed in the gut with jamisons staff jamsion crouched over under fox's crumpled body as he lifts the staff over his head a psionic spearhead appearing at the tip of his staff

jamison: like i said leave my home the both of you..........ohhh and as for you my little ignorant friend i will help you

jamison lifts fox up as he balls a fist swinging it forward fox is launched out of the cave as he lands in a bale of hay outside the cave entrance as he looks over at tristan

jamison: get out

Tristans eyes narrowed as he shook his head. His body tensed as a light purple glow radiated about his body and he slides a hand over to his sword.

Tristan: No, I have a feeling that I must explore this cave. And if I have to defeat you to do so then so be it.

Jamison: What part of get out don't you understand? Don't you realize I don't even need to touch you to hurt you?

Tristan let out a wicked laughter. His hand gripping his sword as he glares at Jamison, His eyes seeming to pierce the psion's head and cut to his very soul. Jamison glared at him nervously gathering his psychic energy.

Jamison: What's so funny?!

Tristan: Something you don't know....

Jamison: Yeah? What's that?

Tristan: I dont' need to touch you to hurt you either...

Jamison: WHA-OOOMF?!?!?!

Just as tristam spoke he focused his energy into the blade as he suddenly unsheathed the weapon striking outward at the air. It came out with such force that the energy literally condensed the air around his sword and flew at Jamsion.... The condensed blade of air could not be seen or sensed so he had no way of knowing it was coming until it hit him... The air blade sliced clean through his armor and gashed his chest before dispersing in a gush of wind pushing him back against the wall knocking him unconcious. Tristam hears clapping from behind him as he turns to see Fox standing at the front of the cave with a smirk on his face. Sheathing his sword once more he nods slightly.

Tristan: Come on, let's explore.

Fox:Fire2!

The whole cavern became lit, revealing everything to Tristam and Fox.

Fox:Lead the way, fellow soldier.
