Guest Hikaru Ichijyo
:( Well looking through most of the forum I was quite shocked not to see a Halloween Resurrection thread! Did anyone besides myself see it this weekend? Well overall I think the movie was pretty decent for a franchise that has been done to death. Though I dislike the fact that one of the most crucial parts of the whole Halloween franchise was infact done in the first 20 minutes of the film! Overall Busta Rhymes played a good role as Freddy and the girl who played Sarah, her name evades me at the moment also did a great job! I'll go more into detail about this movie when some responds.
SS Vegeta
I have thought about seeing this movie. But I doubt I would sleep. You see, I am 13. Yes, I am passed the being afraid of scary movies phase, but I have been afraid of Halloween movies ever since I was 2. My brother always came up with ways to scare me with different masks and such. But one day he went too far. I found my dad lying on the floor covered in fake blood, but at the time I didn't know it was fake. Then my brother started to chase me with a knife. I tackled him though. :p Don't mess with my dad. Of course all of these stunts were done the night I watched a Halloween movie, so I don't watch them anymore. Must....stop...rambling. Angelus_Necare
I'm planning on seeing it, but I know what will happen in the end. They'll kill lil' mike and in a few years there will come a new movie, "halloween: not dead yet!"
Silent Warrior
I respect that they wanna continue the whole Halloween saga, but they gotta stop sometime. I mean I'll watch it, when it comes to video or something. It's probably just going to be like any other Halloween. I think after this movie, it'll end in the next. For good. OutlawStar
I saw the movie when it came out on Friday. I didn't really like it. And Yes the first scenes really mad me upset. Some parts of the movie were quite funny. But the last parts were predicable.
Omar Harris
I saw Halloween Resurrection on opening night. It was okay. The first 20 minutes (the crucial part as Rick said) took me totally by surprised and finally put at least a small speck of life back into this dying series. I cringed in some scenes but unlike most I am not a diehard gore fan. Yes the end was quite predictable (especially Busta Rhymes role). I want to put a small spoiler because I want to ask a question about the Busta role but I'll refrain until more who have seen it give approval. Kinetic
Just do it like this: *spoilers* Spoiler *end spoilers* But anyway, I will probably see it, but I'm actually sad they made another one. I mean, in H20, they showed his head roll away! For crying out loud, I can understand surviving a fire, a needle in the eye, being shot hundreds of times, being stabbed countless times, and still living, but after your head being cut off?! Maybe they'll explain that it wasn't him or something though. I'll have to see what you mean by the crucial part in the first 20 minutes, but I'll still go and watch it. Omar Harris
Ok then this post will be a sort of spoiler. Well not exactly but...never mind here goes *Spoilers* Did Jamie Lee Curtis' death at the beginning take you by surprise or what? Did you realy think they were going to kill off Busta Rhymes? Please they didn't do it for LL Cool J in "Deep Blue Sea" and Samuel L. Jackson deserved to be the surviving black guy in that one more that LL (although LL was funny. And I didn't expect for one black guy to live. Big improvement I must say.) Do you think Busta's role was overhyped. He wasn't even the main guy and they have him all over the media with his role, just like Ja Rule in "Fast and the Furious" and DMX in "Romeo Must Die". *End Spoiler*
Guest Hikaru Ichijyo
Spoilers Well overall I was rather suprised to see Busta stay alive in this film that is the second time the black guy stayed alive in a Myers flick. Though Busta really wasn't a main character in the movie, don't understand why in the credits it said starring Busta Rhymes. Another thing that bothered me to death was the fact Tyra Banks was said to have started in this movie but she played a minor cameo with an off screen death -___-! As for the whole Jamie Lee Curtis death thing I had been expecting it since I read the advance script last August not much was infact changed from that rough draft. Though I personally thought her death could have been at the end of the film and not the beginning.
Guest Saiyangohan2002
Not 2 bad for a series that was supposed to stop wit H20. And I Can't believe that *sopilers* Jamie Lees character dies! oh man thats weird, and in the opening scenes too. I guess Michael Myers finally finished her off this time.... wait a minute.... Michael Myers/Mike Myers. Thats how he does it! he hides in Austin Powers flicks! *end spoilers*
Charles
I'm going to see the movie tomorrow, most likely. Spoiler The one thing I don't understand is how that medic that Jamie Lee Curtis killed wasn't Micheal Myers. I mean, I distinctly remember him unzipping the body bag, getting up slowly, and attempting to attack her. Plus, if I was a medic with a crushed voice box, I would make frantic motions and point to the mask. Obviously, H2O was meant to be the finale of the series. Kinetic
Obviously, it should have been the finale. Jamie Lee Curtis.... *spoilers* DIES?!?! Wow, that was a shocker. Shouldn't have read the spoilers. But wow, that's wierd.
Omar Harris
H20 should have ended it altogether I agree. *spoiler* Now come on Rick, did you really think they were going to kill a star like Busta Rhymes? the only reason he is even in there is to attract money. Guest Hikaru Ichijyo
Spoilers Well I would have liked for his character to die I mean they killed Tyra Banks who played a small cameo in this film and that whole Freddy character was just a jerk. Why they said she was one of the co-stars is beyone me! Actually H2O was going to be the last flick but thanks to plot holes from Halloween 6 and Halloween H2O Michael Myers can't die until he kills off his whole bloodline ending the curse of thorn!
