FINALLY! I finished the first episode/chapter. Okay this American Tamers. For those who watch Digimon, this story takes place the same time as Season 3, so you'll see some familiar things. Now that cleared some things up, let's get on with the show....

-------------------
Episode 1: Wish Upon a Card

Every man, woman, child, and animal has a dream. To be rich, to have no worries, to get all the newest toys, or to conquer a domain. Dreams have the biggest pleasures, but yet life has the simplest pleasures. This is why some people forget their dreams. It is reality that stops a person's dream. It is not impossible to conquer this. But it is quite a big task.

Somewhere on the net, small pieces of data are coming together and are forming new data. The new data then becomes a life form and journeys across the digital world. This creation was a group of people's dreams. This dream became real and peaceful. But reality never stays peaceful for long.

Across the net there are two figures of data fighting. The reason is unknown. One was an orange dinosaur, the other was blue, winged dinosaur.

Suddenly, the orange dinosaur threw a fireball from its mouth.

"Nova Blast!" it yelled.

The winged dinosaur flew over the fireball and countered by a laser coming from its chest.

"XV Laser!" it yelled.

The orange dinosaur took the hit, for it was slow to avoid the attack. The dinosaur fell to its knees. The winged dinosaur threw a kick to the other's face. The orange dinosaur then fell on its back. Its data started to break apart. But not before it could unleash another attack.

"Nova Blast!" the dinosaur yelled again.

The winged dino was blown away by the fiery counter. The winged dinosaur fell to the ground and its data broke apart and scattered. The orange dinosaur got up and walked to the floating data. It took a deep breath and absorbed the data.

"Yeah! I whooped your sorry butt! I told you! Greymon is better than ExVeemon!"

A young boy was savoring his victory over a match with his friend on a video game. Everyone in the store could hear the taunting boy and were very quite annoyed, especially the losing friend.

"Okay," began the friend, "you won. Can ya drop it now?"
"No way!" replied the bragging boy. "I won and I need to savor the victory."

One of the clerks came up to the two boys.
"Can I please ask you to be quiet" You are disturbing the customers." commanded the stern clerk.
"Sorry, sir." they both replied.

A teenager was looking at the newest video games when the boys started arguing. He knew what the game was. Apparently, it was the newest Digimon game.

Digimon was short for digital monster. They are monsters based on animals, mythical creatures, and many other things in real life. He knew this because he was a fan of the craze. He watched the TV show and had some of the toys and cards. Though he would never admit it at his school, he loved digimon.

The teen was about fourteen and had just started high school. He had short black hair and wasn't very tall. In fact he was about 5''2 tall. He wore a dark blue vest with a hood in the back, a white shirt underneath, and khaki pants.

He just happened to be in a video game store on a school night. Not only was he a big fan of digimon, but a very huge fan of video games.

The teen looked at his watch and headed out of the store and entered back into the mall. It was time to look and wait for his dad at the entrance. His father had to go pay for something and invited his son to get out of the house. He, of course, agreed.

He waited by the entrance and didn?t have to wait very long. His father came soon after he came to the entrance.

"Find anything, Rob?" the dad asked.
"Nope. Nothing new at least."answered Rob.
"Okay, well that's fine with me. Let's get going. It's getting late. And don't you have a test tomorrow?"
"Yeah, don't remind me. I should take another look at that book."
"Well, you better take a good look tonight. If not today, then early tomorrow, okay?"
"I know, I know."

It was a long ride to Rob's house. Mainly because of the fact that the mall was near the highway and his house was at the neighborhood.

By the time Rob got to his room it was almost nine o' clock. He took his dad's advice and took the book and started to go over it.

"Of Mice and Men." Rob muttered. "Could it be any more boring?"

Rob's mind started to wander off, but he tried to keep on track. It was hard when you got a game on your Playstation that's unfinished. He slapped the back of his head to keep himself in focus.

Thirty minutes passed when he decided to take a break. He had that digimon game the two boys were playing back into his head. It seemed quite interesting, but would he buy it?

"I'd have to rent it first." he said to himself.

He got up from his bed where he reading and picked up his digimon cards from his desk near the window. He flipped through them. He got an idea. He took out a piece of paper and pencil. He had his mind go to work.

Rob had a great imaginative mind. He drew on many pieces of paper and had many notebooks that contained his works. Every year he noticed an improvement. Everything he drew was either an idea for a video game or for a story.

When Rob finished he looked at his work. He had another idea for a video game. On his piece of paper were three kids and three monsters below them. The monsters were digimon he knew of. He didn't have a story yet. Just the main characters done. Rob looked around his room and saw the book he was reading.

"Oh man!" he said to himself. "Got to study!"

Morning came. Rob's dad woke him up. Rob arose from his bed and got dressed. When he returned to his room, he cleaned his desk a little. He saw the picture he made the previous night and placed it in his book bag to finish if he had time after the test. When he came to his cards, he accidentally knocked them off the desk. They all fell to the floor.

"Aw nuts," he moaned.

Suddenly, something caught his eye. One of the cards turned blue. He picked it up.

"What, may I ask, is this?" he whispered.
'Rob! Let's go!"

His dad was calling for him, he had to go to the school. But the blue card was too mysterious let go of. He placed the blue card in an empty box along with other cards. He placed the box on the edge of his bed and left the room for the car. When he left, the box fell off the edge and all the cards fell out, except the blue card was still in the box.

Rob finished the test. He had no idea on how he did and didn't want to feel the pressure. He took out the paper he drew on the night before. He started to finish it. He then looked at the digimon. He paused and thought of what digimon he would have. Nothing big and huge to hide from public. Maybe something like Veemon that digivolves to dragon then a warrior. He liked those type of things.

He noticed someone looking over his shoulder. It was a guy that sat behind him.

"What's that? Pokemon?" he asked in a whisper.
"None of your business." Rob answered.
"No talking." said the teacher.

That was Rob. Quiet and didn't have very many friends. The people he was actually friends with were the people he went to school with at his junior high. All but three of his old class came to the same high school along with him. But he didn't have many classes with him. For some reason, he couldn't make many friends in high school. He wasn't ready for a big change, as he had left his old class with many things unsaid. He had quite a history with that class. Bad and good.

The day had passed and it was time for the students to return home for the weekend. Rob was looking forward to getting home. To check out the blue card he found. He had no clue where it came from. Rob then saw his dad's car and headed for it to go home.

When he arrived home he said his hello to his mom. He headed down the hall to get to his room. He was so excited he almost ran over his baby nephew.

"Whoa!" Rob stopped in his tracks and picked the baby up. "Sorry Tyler!"

Rob took Tyler back into the living room. Tyler's mom took him and went outside. Rob resumed to getting to his room. When he arrived to his room, he didn't see the box he put the cards in, but saw the cards on the floor. He got down to the floor to pick the cards up. And looked for the box under the bed. That's when he found something else. It was some sort of device. It had a small monitor with a red outline. Rob was speechless.

Something then came from his mouth. "Digivice?"

He noticed two buttons on it. He pushed one of them and it led him to a compass. The compass was pointing outside his window. One thought entered Rob's head.

"Let's go exploring."

Rob got into his change of clothes and headed outside.

"Where are you going?" asked his mother.
"To pick something up." he replied. "Be back soon!"

He ran with the "digivice" in hand on the sidewalk. He took a small glance at the compass now and then to find his way. Rob took a moment to catch his breath when he saw a beam of light shot straight up into the sky from behind some houses. He wasn't sure if anyone else noticed. He looked at the compass once more and saw the arrow point towards where beam of light came from. Rob took a deep breath and headed towards where the light came from.

Rob made it out of the neighborhood saw a small light coming from the grass land behind the town. He had made sure he didn't do anything suspicious, as the grass land was in between the neighborhood and a group of stores.

Rob headed towards the light and saw small ripples coming from the light. When he was only two feet away a great fog came from the light and expanded to cover part of the land. Rob had to cover his eyes from the blast of fog. When he opened his eyes, he saw a small figure. When everything became clear, he saw a small dinosaur-like creature.

It was dark blue and had a red stripe on the back of its neck. Its eyes red and had a black ring on his head with an upside-down black triangle on its forehead. It had a dark ring on its tail. Its claws were small but deadly.

It sniffed the area and turned towards Rob. Rob fell on his butt when the creature's eyes fell on him.

"And you are?" asked Rob.

The creature got up and walked towards Rob.

"I Kiddramon!" it answered.

Episode 2: Life as a Tamer

Rob felt a mixture of feelings. Fear, shocked, and happiness all at the same time. When was last time you ever walked down the street to come in contact with a real life digimon?

"Who are you?" the little reptile asked Rob.

Rob got up and crawled over to the digimon. He put his hands on Kiddramon.

"No doubt about it," Rob began. "You're a real live digimon!"
"Yes I am!" replied Kiddramon. "But could you answer my question, please sir?"

Rob realized he forgot his manners. Even if you're talking to a two and a half feet monster, you shouldn't forget your manners. Rob got on his feet.

"Well, I'm, uh, I guess I'm your, uh, partner. I'm Rob."
"Partner? What's that?" the digimon asked.
"Well, first let's go back to my house. I'll tell you a little about me, and you can tell me a little about yourself," Rob turned and started to walk home. "Follow me. Now I just got to find out how to get you in my room without attention."

"I'm back!"

Rob peeked his head from behind the door. No one was there. He closed the door slowly behind. Rob was holding something under his vest. No one other than Kiddramon. Rob quickly rushed into the hallway.

"Oh you're back."

Rob froze in his tracks. He knew it was his mom from behind him.

"Uh, yeah, mom," he replied, without turning around. "I'll be in my room."
"Okay, let me know what you want for dinner later."

Rob ran into his room and closed the door behind him. He unzipped his vest. Kiddramon fell to the floor.

"Ow!" he exclaimed.
"Oops, sorry," Rob apologized. "Anyway, welcome to my room."

Kiddramon got on all fours and looked around his room.

"Oooo, pretty," Kiddramon complimented.
"Uh, yeah" Rob rolled his eyes. "But if you're gonna live here, you'd better learn to be quiet or my parents are going to find you."
"Why don't you want them finding me?"
"Well, if they find out then the fun of us being partners will be, well, crushed."
"I don't like that, I want to have fun."
"Right. But, what will I do when I go to school?"
"School?"
"What? Oh, well school is where I go to learn about, well, math, history, and stuff."
"Is it fun?"
'Not most of the time," Rob chuckled.
"Then why go?"
"Because I have to or I won't have a good job in the future and I don't want to spend the rest of my life working at McDonald's."
"McDonald's?"
"Uh, let's just say it's a place where people eat. Anyway, I guess you can stay here while I'm away as long as you don?t mind being alone for a while."
"I don't mind being alone, I've been alone before I even came here.''
''Really? Is it like that for all digimon?''
''Uh, I don't know. How can I know if I was always alone?''

Rob didn't know what to say. Rob just stared into space trying to figure out why he was alone while Kiddramon was fiddling around with Rob's Playstation. Rob broke from his trance and noticed that Kiddramon pushed the system's Start button.

''Uh, I don't think you want to do that,'' Rob said nervously.
''Why not?'' Kiddramon asked while grabbing a controller connected to the system since a part of it glowed red.
''Well first of all you might break it. And second, do you even know what it is?''
''Uh, no.''
''Heh, didn't think so. Well it's a Playstation. You put video games in it and you can play them. But I think you might want to turn on the TV if you want to play.''

Rob turned on the TV. When the screen came clear, the words ''Dragon Warrior VII'' came up.

''Oooo,'' Kiddramon was impressed.
''Yeah I know. You want to learn how to play?'' Rob asked.
''Sure!''

While Rob was teaching his new friend how to play a video game, dark clouds were approaching the sky. Mother Nature was taking her usual course. The clouds were filled with rain waiting to pour out. The clouds made its presence known with its mighty roar. only minutes were away before the clouds came to Rob's neighborhood.

Somewhere in the city, a building was doing its job. A man and a woman were typing away at their computers. Digital information was on their monitors. Only the man and the woman could understand the information.

''Sir,'' the woman called out. ''The Digital Shifter is up and running.''
''Data Sample B12 is ready for upgrade,'' the man called out afterwards.

Another man came from behind. He was a tall, brown hair man. His hair was short on the back, but fell over his eyebrows. He had bangs under his eyes for being at work continuos nights. He wore a nice black suit with a white shirt underneath with the top button undone.

''Good,'' he said. ''How long before the Sample comes into play?''
''The initiation won''t work until the upcoming storm leaves first,'' the woman began. ''If we run the program during the storm the lightning might interfere and mess up the system. The results may not be good.''
''Fine then. We shall wait. When does the storm pass?''
''The storm will end by ten this evening,'' the other man answered.
''Good. We will wait.''

The boss left his employees to work.

Rob closed the door behind him. He had a plate covered with a napkin. He looked for his digimon.

''It's okay, it's me,'' he called out.

Kiddramon poked his head out from under Rob's bed.

''I brought you some food.''

Rob took off the napkin the food and revealed four slices of pepperoni pizza.

''Take it, it's good.''

Kiddramon took a slice and stuffed it into his mouth. He chewed and swallowed. A big smile came upon his face.

''This is good,'' he said.

Kiddramon started stuffing his face with the leftover pizza. Rob set the plate down and looked out from his window. It was starting to rain. Flashes of lightning were in the sky.

''It's raining.''
''It looks heavy,'' Kiddramon said with a slice of pizza in his mouth.
''Well, what do you want to do?''
''How about this game,'' Kiddramon held up a game for another system. ''It looks interesting.''
''Okay, then. Super Smash Brothers Melee it is.''

The boss came in the dark computer room. He came to his two workers.

''It's ten. Start the Shifter,'' he commanded.
''Yes, sir,'' the workers both replied.

There was humming sound coming from computers. On both monitors of the workers there was a meter slowly filling.

''Sir, we need a copy of the data of B12,'' the woman stated.

The boss took a card from his pocket. It was a Digimon card. He swiped the card in a slot in between the monitors.

''Start enhancing.''
''Yes, sir.''
''Okay being the trap.''

A shape of a monster appeared in the middle of the monitors

The rain stopped and Rob and Kiddramon were asleep. Rob was in bed and Kiddramon was under the sheets curled up asleep.

Outside of his house, a girl was running down a sidewalk. She was a teen with blonde hair made in a ponytail. She wore a dark blue and green shirt and gray pants. A little monster was on her shoulder. It was a little monster with a black jewel with small thin antennae on its head. It also had a long tail.

''Where's it coming from?'' the little monster asked.

The girl took out a digivice. She looked at the compass.

''It might be the plaza,'' she answered. ''We have to get to it before it destroys something.''
''I know the drill.''
''Let's go!''

They arrived at the plaza. There was a dome of fog covering most of the plaza.

''Dammit, it's already here,'' the girl stated.
''What are we waiting for then?'' the creature asked.

The girl took out a pair of sunglasses and placed them on. She ran into the fog. It was really bright inside an there was a shadowed figure ahead of her. The girl took out her digivice and a hologram appeared. There was a monster and its name.

''Boarmon,'' she read aloud. ''Armored type of digimon. He obviously a fire type since he's covered in it. Better be careful, Spritemon. He could do some serious damage.''
''I'm all over it!'' Spritemon exclaimed.

The little digimon jumped off the girl's shoulder to the ground on all fours. The Boarmon ran towards the little Spritemon. Spritemon ran towards the flaming boar, but only to roll under it. Spritemon slid and faced the boar's behind. She closed her eyes and her jewel on her head glowed. She opened them.

''Fairy Ring!'' she shouted.

Three rings shot out of the jewel and caught and strangled the boar. Boarmon fell on its side.

''It's not enough!'' Spritemon yelled.
''This pig won't go down easy,'' the girl called out. ''Time for an upgrade.''

The girl took a card from her pocket with one hand and her digivice with another. She slashed the card with her digivice diagonally.

''Digi-modify!'' she yelled while slashing the card. ''Power activate!''

Spritemon glowed a purple light for a moment. She took the strength she received and gave Boarmon a tackle. Boarmon yelled from pain. His data slowly separated and scattered throughout the sky.

''Should I?'' Spritemon asked.
''Go ahead,'' the girl said. ''We could use more power.''

Spritemon stood up and absorbed the digimon's data. When all the data was absorbed, the fog disappeared and all was quiet.

''Another night has passed and saved,'' said the girl.
''I'm tired, Karen.'' Spritemon started. ''Can we go home?''
''Sure. You deserved it.''

''Sir, Sample B12 was destroyed.'' stated the woman.
''How?'' the boss asked.
''Another piece of data deleted it.'' answered the other man.
''Any info on the data?''
''Very little sir,'' answered the woman.
''The data is new to the program,'' continued the man.
''Is it a virus?'' asked the boss.
''Negative, sir'' answered the man.
''Sir, it's a vaccine,'' the woman stated slowly.

The boss went to the monitor. He was confused.

''How can a vaccine delete part of the program's data?'' he asked.

He stood still.

''Something must have came with the program when I hacked into it,'' he thought.

Monday came and the weekend had passed. Rob and Kiddramon spent their weekend playing in the grass field where Rob found Kiddramon so they wouldn't be noticed. Of course, they spent their time playing video games as well. But it was time to go to school again.

Rob let Kiddramon come with him to school for a week, and if everything works well Rob will keep bringing his digimon to school as long as he isn't seen.

When Rob arrived at his school, he went to his locker. Along the way something muffled out of his backpack.

''How's it going out there?'' the voice asked.
''Kiddramon, keep quiet,'' Rob whispered back.

When Rob made it out of his locker, he opened it and opened his backpack. Kiddramon was at the bottom of the bag, all curled up and out of sight.

''My first class is Computer,'' Rob began, ''and I have to leave you at the door. So make sure you don't make attention or get seen, because I'll leave the bag open to get air.
''Don't worry,'' Kiddramon replied. ''I'll be careful.''
''And that's what I'm afraid of,'' Rob thought.

Rob went into his Computer classroom. He left his backpack at the door, since his teacher had the students do that. He opened his bag to get his book and left the bag open.

''Don't forget,'' Rob whispered into the bag.
''Don't worry,'' Kiddramon whispered back.

Rob took his seat and logged into the computer. It wasn't long when the bell finally rung and class began.

''Sir, Sample S16 is ready,'' called out the woman.
''Good,'' answered the boss. ''Start the Shifter. And raise the scanner up to sixty percent and hopefully we'll catch our little destroyer this time.''
''Shifter's ready,'' called out the man.

''Click start, go to programs,'' Rob read from his book.

The girl next to him got up and asked the teacher if she could go to the restroom. Rob noticed that he had no idea what her name was. Rob chuckled at his stupidity.

Suddenly the fire alarm rang. Rob froze, how's he going to get Kiddramon out, this might not be a drill. Everyone knew the drill. Get up and go outside. Rob quickly went to his backpack. Kiddramon wasn't there. Gone. Rob quickly went back to the others.

When Rob made it out, he knew it wasn't a drill. There was smoke coming from an end of the school. And there was something else. He saw Kiddramon running on the roof towards a dome of fog. Rob sneaked out of the crowd and ran towards the fog without notice.

Rob ran into the fog and closed his eyes, so he wouldn?t get fog in his eyes. When he opened them he saw Kiddramon run up to him.

''Oh, good!'' Kiddramon exclaimed. ''I didn't know if you get here. There's a digimon here!''

Rob looked up. He saw the girl who left to go to the bathroom. Not far from her was a small digimon. It was the girl's digimon. They were fighting another digimon. It was in a shape of a star, but with arms and legs.

''Ready for battle, Rob?'' asked Kiddramon.

Rob reached into his back pocket and brought out his digivice.

''Let's get this done right.''

Episode 3: Kicking it up a Notch

"Digi-modify! Speed activate!"

The girl slashed another card and her digimon got an upgrade. Her digimon ran towards the wild digimon and jumped on its back. What the girl didn?t notice was that Rob was standing next to her. She too busy reading the data on the wild digimon.

"Starmon," she read. "Champion level. He commands the stars with his Meteor Shower attack. Looks like he was the one causing the smoke."

She looked over at Rob and Kiddramon, who was standing next to Rob.

"Who're you?" she asked, nervously. "A tamer, I hope."
Rob looked at her. "Tamer?"
"Well yeah. That's your digimon, isn't it?"
"Yeah, I guess that's what I am. I'm Rob, who're you?''
"I'm Karen. I found this Starmon during class. Aren't you in my class right now? Computer?"
"Actually, yeah. But let's save the introductions for later. Your digimon's going to need Kiddramon's help."
"Ready for action!" exclaimed Kiddramon.
"Then go get him!" commanded Rob.

Kiddramon ran after Starmon, who was still trying throw Karen's digimon off his back. Starmon saw Kiddramon and got ready for the attack. Kiddramon was aware that Starmon was prepared, but Kiddramon curled up in a ball and rolled towards Starmon. Kiddramon kicked up enough speed and tackled Starmon's legs, which knocked him off balance.

Starmon fell on his face and Karen's digimon jumped off.

"Spritemon, do it!" Karen called out.

Spritemon closed her eyes and the jewel on her forehead glowed.

"Fairy Ring!" the digimon called out.

Three rings were summoned from the jewel and entangled the fallen Starmon. Starmon struggled to free himself from the rings, but the rings held strong. Rob turned to Kiddramon.

"Get him!" he yelled.

Kiddramon jumped and shot a fiery sphere to Starmon.

"Flame Burst!" he yelled as he launched the fireball.

The fireball made a small explosion when it came in contact with Starmon's back. Starmon yelled out his agony, however he wasn?t defeated. Starmon suddenly broke free from Spritemon's rings. He got up and faced the astonished Kiddramon and Spritemon.

"You're pesky little bugs, aren't ya?" Starmon rumbled.

Starmon's hands went into the air and glowed. Rob knew this must be Starmon's Meteor Shower attack. He turned to Kiddramon.

"Kiddramon!" he yelled and got Kiddramon's attention. "Get him while he's busy!"

Kiddramon nodded and sent another Flame Burst attack. The attack struck Starmon's face and he lost his balance. Before he fell on his back, he managed to send two small stars at Kiddramon. Fortunately, Kiddramon jumped over them and the attack struck a tree, which fell over.

"Fairy Ring!" Spritemon sent three rings again to hold the wild one down.
"Flame Burst!" Kiddramon attacked again.

Starmon's data separated and scattered everywhere. Spritemon turned to Karen with a question on her face. Karen shook her head. Starmon's data then vanished in the air along with the fog.

Karen turned to Rob.

"We'd better get back to our class," she stated. "Hopefully nobody noticed that we were gone."

Rob looked at the damaged tree and the blackened, smoking wall, which Starmon was striking with his Meteor Shower.

"What about the mess?"
"That's why we should leave now, before someone finds us here."

Rob nodded at her and at Kiddramon, who ran to Rob's feet. Spritemon jumped on Karen's shoulder.

"And you need to go back to your hiding spot," Karen said to Spritemon.
"You, too," Rob said to Kiddramon.

Spritemon jumped on Kiddramon's head.

"High Ho, Silver!" Spritemon teased.

Kiddramon jerked his head back to throw Spritemon off his head. Spritemon landed on her feet and ran while Kiddramon chased her.

Rob and Karen ran from the battle grounds. Rob accidentally dropped a piece of paper as he ran.

"What are you doing?" Kiddramon asked.

School was done for the day. Kiddramon was curled up on Rob's bed and was noticing that Rob was typing on a laptop.

"Talking to a friend on the Internet," Rob answered.
"And who is this friend?"
"A friend from my previous school. His name's Jacob."
"What are you talking about?"
"About the incident today. Though, I'm not mentioning what we did during that time. Apparently, he heard the story from Daniel and Joe."
"Who're those two?" Kiddramon yawned.
"Like Jacob, old friends. Jacob doesn't go to the same high school as I do, but Daniel and Joe do," Rob answered.
"Do they like digimon?"
"Not really. But they probably will if they get their own digimon."

Rob turned off his laptop and looked at the sleeping Kiddramon.

"You up to a game of Melee?" he asked.

Kiddramon sprung up from his resting spot.

"But of course!" Kiddramon exclaimed.

"Karen, time for dinner!"

Karen looked up from her desk. She was doing her homework when her mom called for her. Spritemon was watching TV.

"What's for dinner today, Karen?" Spritemon asked.
"I don't know," Karen answered. "But it smells nice."
"Karen I was thinking,"
"Uh-oh,"
"Funny. But I was wondering, would our battles be easier if I digivolve?"
"Digivolve. Yeah I guess so. But you'll need a bigger hiding spot. Anyway, I suppose it would help us if you could digivolve. We'll discuss this later, after I eat."
"Okay."

Karen left her room with Spritemon wondering about her digivolution.

"Sir, data scanning complete."

The boss returned to the darkened room with the computers.

"What's the status of the two?" he asked.
"One of them is the vaccine from last night," the man worker began. "The other seems to be just regular data."
"The vaccine's code name is Spritemon," the woman began. "The other data is Kiddramon."
"Both are new to the program," the boss stated. "The program is evolving rapidly."
"Sir, we cannot continue the process with the created data being destroyed," the woman stated.
"I know, Sarah," the boss stated. "For now work on the worlds. Logan, what's the status on the new data we created?"
"The three are almost complete," Logan answered. "The data are still in need of upgrading."
"Good. Tomorrow, we'll try another sample."
"Yes, sir," they both responded.

The next day passed to the afternoon. Rob came back from another day of school and was doing his homework, while Kiddramon was playing a video game.

"Let's see, I got Algebra and English," Rob said aloud.
"Going to be done for enough time for playtime?" Kiddramon asked.
"Don't worry I will."

Just then Kiddramon growled. Rob's digivice started flashing

"Looks like playtime is coming whether you like it or not," Kiddramon growled.
"Let's go."

Rob grabbed his digivice and his deck of Digimon cards. He opened his window so Kiddramon will have a start and Rob ran out of his room.

"Going out for a little bit," he yelled as he went out the door.
"Okay, but make it quick," his mom called out.

Rob ran on the sidewalk as he brought out his digivice for a tracking compass for the wild digimon. He followed the arrow out of his neighborhood.

Rob saw a dome of fog on an abandoned street. Rob saw Kiddramon waiting for him in front of the dome of fog. Kiddramon jumped in when he saw Rob. Rob took out a pair of sunglasses and placed them on, then ran into the fog. Someone then ran into the fog after Rob.

When everything came clear in vision, Rob took off his sunglasses. He saw Karen nearby. Karen turned around.

"Oh, good," she began. "I think we need a little help here."

She pointed at what Spritemon was fighting. Rob looked at the wild digimon and recognized it.

"Ninjamon," he stated. "You need my help?"

Karen nodded. Rob took out his digivice for more info on Ninjamon.

"Ninjamon. Champion level. He may be small, but he's trained in the ways of the ninja. His special attack is Dancing Leaves."

Kiddramon ran towards Ninjamon and let loose a Flame Burst. Ninjamon deflected the attack with his samurai sword. Spritemon threw her Fairy Rings but Ninjamon jumped in the air without even turning around. Ninjamon looked down at Kiddramon and Spritemon and threw three shurikens. The two digimon rolled out of the way.

"Flame Burst!" Kiddramon launched another attack.

Ninjamon threw another shuriken which severed through Kiddramon's fireball. Kiddramon jumped out of the way. Spritemon unleashed another barrage of Fairy Rings, but Ninjamon sliced the rings in half with his sword.

"We need an upgrade," Karen said as she took out a card from her pocket.

Ninjamon noticed this and threw a shuriken at Karen.

"Karen!" screamed Spritemon. "Watch out!"

Spritemon ran and tackled Karen out of harm's way. The shuriken landed near someone's foot. Rob looked up and saw someone he knew.

"Daniel?!" Rob exclaimed.

Daniel had short brown hair. He was wearing a white polo shirt with a gray tank-top underneath and wore blue jeans.

Daniel looked down at the shuriken near him and was a little terrified.

"Uh, hey, Rob," Daniel muttered.

Rob was still surprised with Daniel's presence, but looked at Karen who was on the ground far from Spritemon. Rob turned and looked at Kiddramon. Rob then looked for Ninjamon. He saw Ninjamon coming down over Spritemon with his sword ready to destroy.

"Kiddramon!" Rob yelled.
"Flame Burst!" Kiddramon yelled as he threw his fireball.

Without turning around, Ninjamon let his free hand throw a shuriken.

"Rob!" Daniel yelled.

Kiddramon tackled Rob out of harms way. Karen slowly got up, tears in her eyes.

"Spritemon!" she yelled.

Karen's purple digivice let a bright white light. Karen looked at the small monitor, which slowly spelled "Digivolution".

Spritemon was slowly glowing with a white light. Her digital skin tore off and her size grew. Her long tail grew longer. Her jewel became more of a diamond shape. Her antennae grew longer. Her wrists and ankles were covered with amethyst bracelets. Small wings grew out of her back. And her old digital skin was given to her, but stronger.

"Spritemon digivolve to Nymphmon!" she yelled as she changed.

Nymphmon looked up at the falling Ninjamon. She closed her eyes and put her right hand in the air. Her bracelet glowed.

"Crystal Petals!" she yelled as numerous crystal petals shot up into the air.

Ninjamon evaded all but one of the petals, which injured the arm which held his sword. He and his sword fell to the ground.

Rob looked at his digivice and saw Nymphmon's data.

"Nymphmon. Looks like Spritemon digivolved to Champion. Her special attack is Crystal Petals, which we just saw," Rob read.

Nymphmon charged at the fallen Ninjamon, who threw a another shuriken. Nymphmon jumped over the attack and her jewel glowed. Her right hand glowed again. She sent another attack of Crystal Petals. Ninjamon yelled in agony and his data scattered in the air. The fog disappeared. Night had arrived.

Karen ran to Nymphmon and hugged her.

"I thought it was the end," Karen sobbed.
"Let's go home," Nymphmon whispered in Karen's ear.

Karen nodded. Nymphmon carried Karen and jumped into the air.

Daniel turned and looked for Rob. He was behind him. Rob had his sunglasses on. The wind blew in their hair. Rob turned and walked away into the darkness with Kiddramon by his side. Daniel stood where he was.

"Rob!" he called out.

He didn't get a response, but he followed after Rob.

Episode 4: My Friend, a Tamer

Somewhere near Karen's house, a sleeping Nymphmon hid in a small forest. Only a few minutes had passed since Spritemon became Nymphmon. Her sleep was interrupted by a cracking sound of a branch. Nymphmon looked up and saw her tamer. Karen was carrying food wrapped in napkins. She gave it to Nymphmon and sat down next to her.

"So, you made it to the next level," Karen whispered.
"You know I could never have done it without you," Nymphmon respond while unwrapping the napkins. "Without you I could never have been here."
"I know. But are you going to be back to Spritemon ever again?"
"Maybe," Nymphmon took a bite of the food.

Karen fell into silence and remembered a question that had always annoyed her.

"Are you ever going to tell me what happened when we met?" Karen asked.
"You still don't remember?"
"No. Not even a vision."
"I'll tell you. Someday."
"Alright," Karen sighed. "But I have another question."
"Shoot."
"How were you able to digivolve?"
"I don't know the answer to that question. All I know is that a digimon can digivolve when their partner can truly care for each other."

Karen paused and replayed the battle with Ninjamon in her head. She remembered when Spritemon came to her rescue when Karen was in range of one of Ninjamon's shurikens.

"I see," Karen muttered. She smiled quietly. "But, I wonder who that Daniel was. Rob seemed to know him."
"Perhaps we have another tamer to come," Nymphmon chuckled.
"I wonder if he's going to be cursed with a digimon with a big mouth like yours," Karen laughed.
"Well, that was rude."
"Oh, be quiet. But just because you were able to digivolve, doesn't mean we can slack off now. We still have to protect this town from wild digimon."
"Whoa, someone's sounding like a super hero."

Rob was pacing himself at a playground. Kiddramon watched him walk in circles from where he was sitting, a slide. After a couple of minutes Rob stopped and looked into the darkness. A dark figure was running towards the playground. Rob sighed.

"Here he comes," Kiddramon stated.

Rob looked at his digimon with a worried look and stared back at the running dark figure. The figure finally ran out of the darkness and stopped in front of Rob. It was Daniel.

"Okay, you've got explaining to do," Daniel said.

Rob looked at Daniel and took off his sunglasses. Rob walked from Daniel and sat on one of the swings nearby. Daniel followed and sat on the swing next to Rob.

"Well, let's start off with the fact that Digimon are real," Rob began. "But I want you to explain something to me first."
"And what's that?" Daniel asked.
"How did you get to the battle with Ninjamon?"
"Well, after the fire alarm incident on Monday happened, I wanted to see what caused it, since the school didn't know what caused it. When I checked I found this," Daniel took out a crumpled piece of paper and gave it to Rob.

Rob uncrumpled the piece of paper.

"My game," he whispered.
"Yeah, I recognized your drawings. I was heading to your house to talk about it, when I saw you running after a small monster."

Rob sighed and began his story.

"Sir, we got some interesting news," Sarah said.
"One of the destroyers increased its level," Logan stated after.

The boss stood behind Logan and Sarah. He was in greater confusion.

"Okay," he said aloud. "I was sure that that one would get of our problem. We must send a stronger one next time. Logan, what's the status on the project?"
"We are near completion sir," he answered.
"We just need to work on the 'disguise'," Sarah finished.
"How long before 'Nightmare Tower' is finished?" the boss asked.
"Quite a while, sir. The construction is at forty-five percent complete," answered Logan.
"Alright."

The boss was turning to leave.

"Sir, we got new data on the field. And it's not ours," Sarah called out.

The boss stopped in his tracks and walked back to the monitors.

Kiddramon was sleeping, curled up, on Rob's lap. Rob and Daniel were still talking.

"It's getting pretty late," Rob said looking at the dark sky. The moon was shining.

Just then Daniel's face froze and pointed behind Rob. Rob looked behind in confusion. Rob's face also froze. A thin ray of light shot into the sky. Kiddramon jumped from his sleep onto the ground and growled.

"We got another one," Karen whispered. She looked at Nymphmon.
"Let's sit this one out," Nymphmon sighed. "I'm sure Rob and Kiddramon can handle this."
"Are you sure?"
"Positive. They barely had a chance to fight with Ninjamon. I think they can handle this situation."

"What is it?" Daniel asked.
"A digimon is coming," Rob answered. "Let's go Kiddramon!"
"Right!" Kiddramon growled.

Rob put on his sunglasses again.

"Wait!" Daniel called out.
Rob turned. "I don't know, Daniel."
"Well, I'm coming. So don't complain."

Rob and Kiddramon ran off to where the ray of light came from.

"Okay, fine, take off without me," Daniel said aloud and ran off following Rob's trail.

Rob saw the dome of fog near behind a grocery store and ran in with Kiddramon. Daniel followed in after.

When things came in vision, Rob took off his sunglasses. There were two digimon fighting. And one of them wasn't Kiddramon.

Daniel came in and stood next to Rob.

"What's wrong?" he asked Rob.

Rob pointed at the two fighting digimon.

"I don't know what to do," Rob said.

Suddenly, one of the digimon punched the other. The force of the blow threw the victim near the boys. The puncher gave an ugly smile when he saw the boys. Rob and Daniel took a step back. But the smile was only a part that scared them. The rest that freaked them out was the digimon that gave the smile.

Rob got out his digivice to get the data on the two fighters.

"The one near us is Tigamon," Rob read. "He's a quick, strong Rookie. He has a strong attack called Talon Strike."

Tigamon was a tall orange tiger with green wristbands and a white bandage on his tail. He was taller than the other digimon, but still had a challenge.

"The other one is Dogmon. He may look stupid and freaky but he's dangerous with his Jesting Howling and Ultra Bite attacks. Oh yeah, he's at the Champion level."
"Dogmon?" Daniel smirked. "Sounds like he was a reject. Is he trying to look like a super hero with that 'D' on his chest?"

Dogmon growled and charged at the boys at a rapid speed.

"Kiddramon!" Rob called out. "Let's show this deformed pup that you can be as fast as him!"

Rob took a specific card from his deck and slashed it.

"Speed-activate!"

And Kiddramon took off leaving a trail of dust behind him. He rolled up in a ball and tackled Dogmon and knocked him back. Dogmon got on his feet and let out a howl. The sound blew Kiddramon away next to Rob.

"S***! This dog's tough," Rob cursed.

Tigamon jumped on his feet and ran at Dogmon. He gave the dog a swift kick in the face. Followed by a punch in the stomach. Dogmon countered with a pummel at Tigamon's body.

"You think that one's on our side?" Daniel asked. "Or does he want to finish that other one, then get us?"
"Beats me," Rob shrugged.
"Should I jump in?" Kiddramon asked.
"Not yet," Rob answered.

Tigamon whipped Dogmon with his tail. Dogmon howled from the pain. Dogmon took a bite at Tigamon's side.

"Doesn't look good," Rob muttered. "Stop that dog before he destroys Tigamon, Kiddramon!"

Kiddramon ran when he heard the words and threw a Flame Burst at Dogmon. Dogmon let go of Tigamon and ran towards Kiddramon. Kiddramon let loose a barrage of Flame Bursts, but Dogmon evaded them all.

Right as Dogmon was going to jump on Kiddramon, Tigamon tackled him in midair. Dogmon and Tigamon wrestled on the ground.

"I guess he's on our side," Rob stated.
"Well, let's help him," Daniel replied.
"Right. Kiddramon!"

Kiddramon ran to the wrestling match and grabbed Dogmon's leg and threw him, but not far. Tigamon stood next to Kiddramon.

"Thank you," Tigamon said to Kiddramon. "Shall we put this puppy to sleep?"
"You betcha!" Kiddramon exclaimed. "Flame Burst!"
"Talon Strike!"

Tigamon's claws glowed and shot six shining nails at Dogmon. The combination of the two digimon's attacks struck Dogmon. However, the digimon wasn't done yet. Dogmon went on a rampage and started charging at the boys.

Daniel grabbed Rob's arm. "Looks like this dog's got rabies!" he yelled. "Come on, let's go!"

Daniel pulled Rob away from the charging Dogmon for Kiddramon and Tigamon to come to the rescue. The two stopped Dogmon in his tracks. Dogmon let out another howl which struck pain to Kiddramon and Tigamon. The two fell on the ground as the mad dog moved towards their bodies. He placed his foot on Tigamon's neck and growled.

Daniel picked up a rock and chunked it at Dogmon. The rock struck Dogmon in the head, which brought his attention to Daniel.

"Oh, c***," both boys muttered in a squeaky voice.

Before Dogmon could make a move, Kiddramon threw a Flame Burst at Dogmon's side. Then Tigamon scratched Dogmon and sent another Talon Strike. In a matter of seconds, Dogmon's data was deleted. The fog disappeared and then all was quiet again.

Kiddramon jumped into Rob's arms and flexed his muscles. Tigamon walked up to Daniel and bowed in front of him.

"Thanks," he said. "If weren't for you, the mad dog would have been absorbing my data by now."
"Well, I had to do something," Daniel replied. "Actually, I was a little surprised when I did it too."

Tigamon got on his feet.

"It's strange. You type of people don't exist in the digital world. It seems I will like this world."
"Why were you two fighting anyway?" Rob asked.
"Dogmon was always a thorn in my side in the digital world. He was basically your village idiot always looking for a fight. Then, suddenly, he jumped me in the digital world and at the same moment we arrived here."
"Seemed like a mistake for Dogmon to fight you," Daniel stated. "You seemed to be pretty strong."
"Heh, thanks," Tigamon said modestly. "But I still wouldn't have done much without you."
"Well, Kiddramon and I did all the work. Rob just stood there," Daniel teased.

Rob got angry and everyone else laughed. Just then, a small sphere of light appeared between Daniel and Tigamon. Daniel caught it and when it stopped shining, Daniel was holding a green digivice.

Daniel was surprised and looked at Rob for answers.

"You and Tigamon are partners," Rob said, shocked. "We got another tamer on the team."

Daniel and Tigamon exchanged shocked looks. They then smiled and shook hands. Soon laughter filled the air.

"Oh, man," Rob suddenly moaned. "Now, it's really late. We better get back home. Besides, we got school tomorrow."
"Oh, yeah," Daniel responded. "I'll see you tomorrow, then."

Rob ran off with Kiddramon in his arms.

"Sure, I'll tell you all you need to know about digimon later," Rob called out to Daniel. "Oh yeah, congratulations on being a tamer. I'm sure with you around things will get fun now."

Daniel smiled as he heard Rob's laughter.

"Come on, Tigamon," he said. "Let's go to my house. You have a new home, now."

Tigamon nodded and the two headed off in the darkness.

BTW SD, most of the digimon are not made up by me. If you have a problem with the originality, don't complain to me on my fanfic, complain to the company.

Oh yeah, there IS in fact a Monmon.
