Anyone here like them? Im a coaster "freak." They are I would have ot say, one of the greatest,if not the best rides out there.

My favorite coasters would have to be Hulk at Islands of Adventure, and Dueling Dragons at Islands of Adventure. They are the best coasters out there, im my opinion at least.

What do you all think of coasters? Like, dont like?

I haven't been on many, but the ones that I've been on, I have loved. My favorite would have to be the Batman at Six Flags Over Texas. I still need to ride the Mr.Freeze, and the Titan though. Also the Texas Giant.

Okey...maybe not. But that's the Millenium Force at Cedar Point. It's so fast that I was literally drooling at the end of the ride from my mouth getting so dried out

I live in Southern California and we have Six Flags: Magic Mountain which is probably the greatest coaster park on the planet. Here is one of my favorite rides, Goliath. The first drop goes underground, which is why you can't see the bottom in this pic. Nuff said?

I'm incredibly afraid of heights.

Yesterday I went to Wildwood and saw all kinds of incredible rollar coaster. One of them was nothing but one loop that the coaster would continuously lap. It wasn't the heights that scared me the most though. Rather it was the price of admission.

Why pay like $75 for forty tickets when I can just stand upside-down and vomit for free?

Why-oh-why doesn't Finland have such rides??? The biggest themepark we have (in the capital) has only one 50 years old wooden roller coaster, one that goes indoors of a round building (and lasts about half minute), and couple that gets you wet!

*looks at the roller coaster pics dreaming*
I want to ride one of those too!!!(At the age of 18 I'm still a huge themepark-fan)

Okay, I've visited the Eurodisneyland(or whattaheck you call it), but their rides were piggy-trains compared to THOSE!

Man, you're so lucky...:(

Hehe, the Goliath at Magic Mountain in not much different than Six Flags Over Texas' Titan, which boasts a 225 foot underground plunging drop. In fact, I've personally been on both, and both are alomst identical. The Titan, however, is faster, and is in my opinion, the better of the two. On a sidenote, both have references to the same Mythological character. In Greek literature, there is a character with the name Goliath, who is a titan.

Coincidence? I think not.

Oh, and Aries, Mr. Freeze is personally my favorite rollercoaster. It's basically the suped up version of Six Flags Over Texas' Flashback.

Hahaha, roller coasters are the best!! I haven't been on many though, I've only been to Worlds of Fun, Six Flags, and Disney World. I've been to Worlds of Fun the most number of times, and I always went on this coaster called the Zambizi Zinger (or something like that). I went on that one so much because it was the only decent one at the park that didn't go upside down.

Yeah, I've always been terrified to go upside down on a roller coaster. I hadn't been on one until I went so Disney World and took a ride on the Rockin' Rollercoaster (or whatever it's called). You're in nothing but darkness except for a bunch of black light effected things, so unless you're in the front, you can't see anything ahead of you. So I had a blast on that ride, came out, and the rest of my family kept talking about how it went upside down (in a loop and a twist), and I was just like "What now??" I didn't even know, lol. So that took away the fear of going on those kind of roller coasters. The only bad thing is that I haven't been to another theme park since..

Tsk, tsk, SB! Goliath isn't from Greek mythology at ALL, he's known from a more famous tradition. He's a character in the great book of fairy tales called Biblia, aka The Bible!:smirk:

(Okay, don't get mad anyone, I'm just a pitiful atheist!:D)

No no, I'm not mad, but I must correct you. Yes, I know Goliath is a character from the Bible. He fights David and loses. I'm a devout Catholic. Nevermind that though.

There is, however, a character from Greek literature also named Goliath. :p

Whoops, kinda off topic with the Mythos thing. But still, go on botht he Goliath and Titan. Both are wonderfully thrilling rides :D

lol.....

Trust me y'all, Space Mountain does NOT have any "loops". It's a hill of beans compared to Rockin' Rollercoaster... I rode it and was bored out of my mind...

Anyway, YESSSS I love roller coasters!! The only ride I've ridden at a Six Flags was the Ninja (I was 10 the only time I've ever been, and was scared of them), so I'm really itching to go back sometime in the future and ride every friggin ride I see there. We went to Disney World back in Februrary for a Marching Band trip (we marched in a parade.... 30 mintues total, tops... and got 4 days out of Orlando ^_^), and Rockin' Rollercoaster was definately one of my favorites. I also rode the Hulk and Dueling Dragons and a few others I can't really remember. The absolute BEST part about that trip though, was that it was in FEBRURARY-out of season. We rode Dueling Dragons like, 4 or 5 times IN A ROW without more than a five minute wait in line. That made it all the better.

Oh my god, I absolutely love rollar coasters! I can't believe I didn't see this thread before now, heh.

I'm going to Six Flags America (Maryland) tommarrow with a friend, and I can't wait. This will be my fifth time going this summer, but each time it just gets better and better.

Six Flags is, no doubt, my favorite theme park. I got season passes this year and just go to it all the time. :)

My favorite ride is deffinitly Superman. I've gone on it five times, at least, all up front. Since there is nothing in your way, the wind velocity is out of control, making your eyes and mouth, ahem, "de-water," LOL.

I like the others too, but the Superman line is never long. I think people are scared of it, heh. I'm mainly reffering to Batwing when I say that, since the line is a killer if you don't get there early.

It's very unfortunate that my brother, stangely enough, hates rollar coasters, because of the feeling you get in your stomach. I say, that's the whole reason I go on a rollar coaster, and I love it!

Well, have to go get ready for tommarrow. ::lays out season pass, 2002 sports quart, and coupons::

Oh, and is anyone else planning to go to Six Flags (America) tommarrow as well? Just wondering, it's always interesting to see someone in person that you've only known over the net. ;)
