I've liked roller coasters since I was 10... Since I just moved from Texas a month ago, I only know about the rollar coasters there. I looove the serial Thriller, and the texas cyclone.(six flags, astroworld) I also liked the great white in Sea world, San Antonio.

I haven't been lucky enough to o on a "big" roller coster yet, as in these huge ones you guys are posting up.... though I have been on one that just goes round in a loop! :excited:

Eh.....I hopefully might be going to a great amusement park in the next 3 years, and I'll be sure to go on a rollercoster.....heaps of times if possible....:drunk:

I'm afraid of roller coasters, the kinds at six flags. I remember when I was like 9 or something, I went to the six flags in southern california, and my cousin's asked me to ride Collassus (sp?), I didn't want to be a wuss so I went on.. and after that ride, I've been scared of roller coasters from before then until now. I made it alive. Yeah, I know it's just Collassus but still. Ever since I've been afraid of roller coasters. Maybe I should face my fears someday and go back there later on in life. I'll do just that.

Roller Coasters are a mazing. Two words, a mazing, because they are to sweet for just one word.

By the by, anyone remember when the Fabulo guy, what ever his name is, got hit in the face by a goose when he was out promoting the park. That was totally sweet.

I USED to be so afraid of roller coasters it wasn't funny, but two years ago my friend talked me into riding the Orient Express (Worlds of Fun, Kansas City Missouri) (Loopy rollercoaster) And I've been hooked ever since! We also have the Mamba (Steel, goes 75 mph!) and the Timberwolf (Wooden, 60 mph, many hills and twists)

Darn! Why didn't I see this thread earlier? *snaps fingers* Oh well...-___-;;

Has anybody ever heard of Six Flags Great America in Illinois? They have the greatest coaster there: Deja Vu. It goes 76 miles-per-hour, six loops, and tons of gut-wrenching turns. The beauty of it: You go frontwards for about a minute, then you go up a really tall tower, and falll back down it, doing the ride again backwards!

Coasters are great...

Oh my god, I absolutely love rollar coasters! I can't believe I didn't see this thread before now, heh.

I'm going to Six Flags America (Maryland) tommarrow with a friend, and I can't wait. This will be my fifth time going this summer, but each time it just gets better and better.

My favorite ride is deffinitly Superman. I've gone on it five times, at least, all up front. Since there is nothing in your way, the wind velocity is out of control, making your eyes and mouth, ahem, "de-water," LOL.

I like the others too, but the Superman line is never long. I think people are scared of it, heh. I'm mainly reffering to Batwing when I say that, since the line is a killer if you don't get there early.

Oh, and is anyone else planning to go to Six Flags (America) tommarrow as well? Just wondering, it's always interesting to see someone in person that you've only known over the net. ;)

:blah:
Solid Snake you have good taste.

BabyGirl, the picture of the ride you posted, was nearly identical to our Superman. Except Superman is red. Superman is the best ride I have ever been on in my entire life.

I went on Batwing, before it started I was praying I wouldn't die, by the time we got off, I was praying my friend Jessca didn't want to get back on. The ride was too short and went waaaaaay too slow.

Solid, don't get on Two Face, it massively hurt. My hips were killing me by the time I got off. Jokers Jinx was great. Almost as good as Superman.

However Six Flags America has one ride which I refuse to ever ride again. I will never in the span of my entire life ride The Minderaser again. Usually when I get on roller coasters I scream because I'm having fun. When I got on Minderaser, I was screaming in mortal terror. When I got off the ride, I was crying and shaking in fear.

My shoulder guard didn't click all the way down. I was being slammed around my seat and I hit my head so hard my right ear began to bleed. I told the worker my shoulder guard hadn't clicked down all the way. "Oh thats alright, you be aight. Don worry.. iss justa riide."

Intelligent isn't she?

Despite all of this, I still love rollercoasters. Have fun on Superman Solid Snake.

-edit- Outlaw, that would be Fabio. Lucky me my sister told me about him getting hit by a goose right before I went on Great Bear at Hershey Park.

Doesn't anybody here went to Six Flags Great Adventure? of like the 7 or so roller coasters they have only 3 are good. The rest were good in their time but they're boring now. I yawn on the Great American Scream Machine. The newest we have is Nitro. I guess its similar to Goliath in Cali, (God I wanna ge on that:bawl: ) but its good. I forgot how steep the first drop is, I say its about the same as Babygirl's pic but at a lower height. Even so, its enough to slash you vision in half (can only see up) and scream "HOLY.....SHHH.......AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Next coaster I like is Medusa. Something like the Batman ride but with the track on the bottom and pulls some of the best stunts in the park. At one point the train goes flat on its side and you swear you can touch the ground at 50-60 mph (I forget which).

Last is Batman and Robin. I like this one because its like a mix between a regular coaster, superman and Deja Vu. Once everyone is set, this sucker just takes off and once it leaves the station the both the Batman and the Robin tracks (yes TWO different tracks) goes straight up and do their work. Many perfer the Robin track over the Batman for the better stunts (Batman track rolls going up and then straight down). Then once thats all done, we do it again backwards. The only and serious flaw this ride has is that its short. Damn short, last for less than a minute (45 seconds I think was the exact number). Even so its one cool ride.

I don't like wooden coasters much. There is perhaps only one that I saw on TV. I forgot the name but its the only wooden coaster in the world with a loop! I think its called Son of Beast.

I've heard of it, I live in Illinois so I better have....It's up in Chicago so I can't go.

And that ride sounds like Mr. Freeze over here in St. Louis. Except, you go forwards, through a loop, and straight up a tower, then back down again. Your version sounds cooler. No fair! lol. :whoops:

Of course it's cooler!

I never said I lived there. I live in Arkansas...so...-____-;;;. My un-immediate family lives there; that's how I got to ride it. It's closer to Gurnee than it is to Chicago.

The only cool coaster here in Arkansas is the American Twister. It's a wooden coaster, but it sucks. T_T

Six Flags is, no doubt, my favorite theme park. I got season passes this year and just go to it all the time. :)

It's very unfortunate that my brother, stangely enough, hates rollar coasters, because of the feeling you get in your stomach. I say, that's the whole reason I go on a rollar coaster, and I love it!

Well, have to go get ready for tommarrow. ::lays out season pass, 2002 sports quart, and coupons::

Superman is toooooooootally sweet. That sence of weightlessness at the beginning is so cool.

BTW, have you ever been to Kings Dominion (same general area), the Volcanoe and XLC are totally sweet.

For those of you outside the MD, DC, VA area, volcanoe is a coaster that blasts you straight up at 60 mph out a volcanoe, and right as you explode out, fire spews out from the sides. They only do it at night now thou, since they had to lessen the amount of flames so it could only be seen at night. This is because they once had a blast so big it gave 4 people riding 3rd degree burns all over their bodies. Ouch.

Some idiot didn't time the flames correctly. Volcano was amazing. My favorite ride there. I've never been on Hypersonic XLC bc it was always closed down or there was a four hour wait. That and I didn't fancy the idea of going straight up and straight down at a 90° angle.

BabyGirl, that would be the same as Superman, the differences are few. Our angle is 75°, our drop is 7 stories, so I don't think Superman is as tall as MF, but it is close. And Superman broke 6 world records. :p
