Valen
Answer: Silver Key Quest -- 1,000 Rupees Golden Key Quest-- 3,000 Rupees Hero Key Quest -- 5,000 Rupees Someone else can take the question...
GinnyLyn
OK. In LttP, what are the three different color schemes of armor (tunic, hat, and, I think, belt)?
Talon
Green tunic, green hat. Blue tunic, gold-ish hat. Red tunic, purple hat. Belt doesn't change. If it does, it's unnoticeable. Question:What song is completely different from, yet bears the same name, as a song from earlier in the series, and what song makes another appearance in an earlier game, yet in the earlier game has no name?
Desbreko
Yeah, the belt is always the same yellow-ish brown. Wait...so you're saying that a song from one of the older games makes an appearence in a newer game under the same name, but the song itself is changed, right? And also that a song from an older game makes an appearence in a newer game, but the song doesn't have a name, right? Answer: Well, if that's the case, the answer to the first question would be the Ballad of the Wind Fish, from Link's Awakening. The song itself was changed in Majora's Mask, but the name remained the same. The second one would be the dungeon theme from the original Legend of Zelda, which appeared in Majora's Mask, but it never actually gives the song a name in either of the games. Question: In Link's Awakening, what are the three songs that you can learn on your Ocarina, and what order are they in, in the little menu that pops up when you select the Ocarina on the item screen?
Talon
#1 Ballad of the Wind Fish, #2 Manbo's Mambo, #3 Frog's Song of Soul. And Desbreko, the song I was thinking of was Zelda's lullaby, which is the theme for a rescued maiden in LttP, but i'll take the dungeon theme, too. Question:What character from another SNES game makes an appearance in Link's Awakening? If you don't know his name, give me the name of the game. (You oughta know his name, though!)
Desbreko
Answer: Well, there are a bunch of different cameos in Link's Awakening. You've got Goombas, Bloopers, Boo Buddies, Thwomps, Chain Chomps, and a Yoshi Doll from the Mario series, plus you have Anti-Kirbies. Not to mention that Tarin looks kind of like Mario, lol. Take your pick. Question: In the remake of A Link to the Past, what is the name of the sword technique that you learn after completing all of lumberjack riddles?
Talon
*sigh* Damnit. Desbreko, I was looking for Mr. Write. If you've EVER played SimCity, you'll recognize him as Mr. Wright, your advisor. I don't know the name of the technique, but i do know you have to charge your sword, and when it's fully charged, press "B" as fast as is humanly possible.
Desbreko
Oh, yeah, now I remember he was in SimCity... You should make your questions so they don't have multiple answers, if you don't want this to keep happening, though.
Talon
Yeah, sorry. Is my answer good enough for to ask, or do you HAVE TO HAVE the name?
Desbreko
Yeah, sure, go ahead and ask a question. The technique is called the Hurricane Spin, by the way. You don't really have to tap the button that fast, though. I only tap it about three times a second or so, and I can keep doing it for as long as I want. The only thing is, you have to let your sword charge for about twice as long as you do for a normal Spin Attack, in order to be able to do a Hurricane Spin.
Talon
Well, i have nobody to test this with (can't unlock riddle quest without at least one other person) I'm just going by what my cousin told me. I didn't have the patience to unlock the Riddle Quest when I actually had the chance. Question:What changes in the inventory screen are made in the LttP revamp?
Desbreko
Yeah, unlocking the Riddle Quest can take a while. If you're good at collecting Rupees in Four Swords, it takes less time, since you need ten medals to unlock it and you get a medal for collecting the most Rupees in a dungeon. For me, it didn't take that long, because I'd almost always get more Rupees than my friends, heh. :toothy: Answer: Since the screen is wider on the GBA, they added an extra column of items on the right side of the Y button items, which consists of the four Bottles that you get. In the place where the single Bottle icon was in the original, you keep the Shovel, which you now keep for the whole game. Then, when you unlock the Riddle Quest and start doing the riddles, a basket appears to the right of the icon that shows how many Heart Container Pieces you have. Also, when you're in the Palace of the Four Sword, the window that normally shows how many Pendants/Crystals you have displays which of the four Four Swords you have in the dungeon. Question: In A Link to the Past, what are all of the things that you can get from the Great Fairy that's in the Waterfall of Wishing?
Talon
Throw in your boomerang, get the magic boomerang. Throw in your shield, get the red shield. Throw in a bottle, get a bottle filled with magic potion. In the dark world, throw in your bow and arrows, get back the bow and silver arrows. Throw in your tempered sword, get back a golden sword. Throw in a bottle, get a bottle of magic potion. Question:What is the mission of the Stalchilds in Ikana Canyon?
GinnyLyn
Aren't they supposed to be guarding the graves until the Captain returns?
Talon
I'll take it. They were also supposed to collect information. Anyhow, those things really confused the hell outta me. Ask away, GinnyLyn.
GinnyLyn
Question:In MM, how many masks must you give to each Moon Child? And no fair cheating. Let's see who can remember this.
Talon
It's six each. Twenty-four masks divided by four children equals six masks each.
GinnyLyn
That is incorrect. They ask for different amounts. Bonus: "Name" each Moon Child AND the number of masks each one wants?
Bremma
Ahh... I can do this! Child one: Oodolowa (cuse me spelling), 2 masks Child two: Ghot, 4 masks Child three: Gyorg, 6 masks Child four: Twinmold, 8 masks I got it?
GinnyLyn
Yup! The first asks for 1, the second, 2, the third 3, and the fouth 4. When you talk to each one again, they want the same number again. So, O=2, Go=4, Gr=6, and Tw=8. *counts* Huh, that's odd, I thought you had to give up all your masks by the end of the game. But that only equals 20. ANYWAYS, ask away, friend.
Bremma
You can't give your main trans masks, goron, deku, zora and deity. Only the 20 others.. anywho! Q: In the OCarina of Time (and maybe Majora;s mask.. never tried) What happens whenyou drink a Poe?
GinnyLyn
I didn't know you could DRINK them. I knew if you used the bottle with them in it, the Poe would be set free. Though my brother once said if you tried to drink a Poe, you'd get hurt. oO;
Bremma
Your brother would be right. YouCAN drink a poe and when you do, your h ealth slowly decreases. Idid it on accident once. Go ahead Ginny.
Talon
Just a minor note. It's random whether the poe RESTORES health (I think it's five hearts) or takes it away. A poe actually saved my life while I was fighting Bongo-Bongo with only ten hearts....and no faeries. Kinda suicide if you aren't good enough, but a poe saved my life (coulda taken it too, but I was gonna die anyway). Just to let you know.
Desbreko
Yeah, I've had them restore me to full Hearts, give me a couple Hearts, give me one Heart, take a few Hearts, take one Heart, all sorts of things. One time I just bought a whole bunch of Poes and drank them, just to see what all they would do.
