Talon
Okay, question...question......I know! Question:Which famous Mario enemies appear throughout the Zelda series? (Easy, I know, but I'm too busy playing FFX to pay much thought to questions these days.) Speaking of FFX....*holds up Special-edition Auron plushie with a Special-edition GinnyLyn plushie* I picked these up at Plush-R-Us.....I have no use for them. I have NOOOOO idea what to do with them, though.....hehehe
GinnyLyn
*grabs them and giggles insanely* This question has already been done...at least for Link's Awakening, I know. I've seen Goombas and evil Kirbies. There are more, though.
Talon
There's one more Ginny. *hides the Ultra-Cool-Mega-Special-Edition Auron behind my back*. Des oughta know it. These enemies made a SINGLE appearance as the most annoying and third-most damaging enemies in the Turtle Rock dungeon in LttP. (The boss being first damaging, the cactus-bouncy-thingie *hides that plushy too* being second damaging).
Desbreko
This has kinda been done before, but not all at once. It was either for Link's Awakening, or for another game, but never for all of them, I don't think. Whatever, though, heh. Answer: Right, a complete list of Mario enemies in Zelda games...there's a lot more than those three. (Not to mention that the Anti-Kirbies in LA aren't Mario enemies). A Link to the Past - Chain Chomps Link's Awakening - Goombas, Pokies, Mask-Mimics (they look exactly like Shy Guys), Piranha Plants, Boo Buddies, Bombites (kind of like Bob-Ombs), Cheep-Sheeps (look exactly like Cheep Cheeps), Bloobers (look exactly like Bloopers), and various types of Thomps. Hmm, I think that's all of them. Some of these may be repeated in the Oracle games, too (like the Thomps). I don't think there are any in OOT or MM. Question: In OOT, what do you have to do during the fight with Ganondorf to make it so you can use targeting with Navi?
GinnyLyn
After you hit him with the Light Arrow, you must run to the part of the floor he sags on, and pull out your sword to hit him. When you start hitting him with your sword, you can use Navi. IF I AM CORRECT *eyes Des from AIM*, THEN: What are the normal colors of the horses on LonLon ranch? Desbreko
Yep, you're right. He can't block Navi while he's stunned from being hit with a Light Arrow, so you can target during that time. Answer: They're light brown with blackish-brown manes and black tails. Question: In OOT, how old do Koume and Kotake claim to be? Edit: Nope, it's not 450.
GinnyLyn
Wild stab time again! They are twins, putting them about 450 years, though during their "death scene", they argued about which one was younger. IF SO: The name of the "Bird Girl" in Wind Waker is...?
Talon
Nope. Koume and Kotake argued because Koume (or is it Kotake) claimed to be 180 (I think), but Kotake (or is it Koume) argued that they were twins, so since Koume (or Kotake) was 200, so was Kotake (or Koume).
Desbreko
You got the part about the arguing and all that right, you just messed up on the hundreds place digit. Try again, you're close. :)
Talon
Hmm......If it's not 200, then K must say she's 380, then her sister says they're both 400, and then one of them calls themselves the cute one......ick.
Desbreko
Lol, yeah, that's it. One of the funnier moments in the game, I think. :p
Talon
What genre does Link's Adventure belong to?
Desbreko
Answer: That's kind of a hard question to answer, really. The Adventure of Link is kind of an action/adventure/platformer/RPG game. You've obviously got the action from all the fighting, adventure from the puzzles and exploring, platformer from the side view mixed with all the jumping action, and RPG from getting experience points and going up levels, talking to people in towns and helping them out, and stuff like that. So, um, will you take that? It doesn't really fit into a single genre, which is why it's hard to answer.
GinnyLyn
I hold that the Zelda games are in a league of their own (though a few others do follow the Zelda trend, like Dual Hearts, and to a lesser extent, the Insomniac games, like Spyro, Ratchet&Clank, and so on.). Desbreko
Well, the original The Legend of Zelda was the first of its kind, so yeah, Zelda is kind of in a league of its own. It was the first to have an overworld that you could just explore, with dungeons that you could go to whenever you felt like it (and not be a full-blooded RPG, that is). So yeah, it kind of started off the action/adventure genre.
Talon
Bingo, Desbreko. In my opinion, though, they oughta make a new genre simply for the Zelda games and those that follow the free-roaming style. Dunno what it would be called, though. Anyway, ask away.
Desbreko
Question: Link's Awakening features the first three (Light World) bosses in A Link to the Past as either bosses or mini-bosses. What are they, and where do you fight each of them?
GinnyLyn
Armos Statues: The 6 knights you must defeat (as a boss) in Past to get the first Pendant (Courage, I think). You find them squashed into one fiercesome knight (as undefined boss, perhaps mini, but he was in his own section, sooo....) in the first part of the Face Shrine, where you learn from a tapestry about Koholint. Lanmolas: The three centipede creatues that leapt about in the final boss room of the Desert Palace, where you get the Pendant of Power. Again, the three were squashed into one in the desert area of Koholint island, where you fetch the key to one of the dungeons (Angler key, I think). Finally, the really big fuzzy Centipede that I cannot remember the name to, but he gets hurt when you strike his tail. He protected the final Pendant (as well as the Moon Pearl, to a certain extent), and shows up as the first final boss in Tail Cave, Koholint (complete with falling pits). My question: What are the three tribal names for the Spiritaul Stones in Ocarina of Time, and where can their symbols be commonly seen (different answer for each one)? Desbreko
Answer: The Kokiri's Emerald can be seen on Deku Shields. The Goron's Ruby can be seen around in Goron City, and on your Goron Bracelet. The Zora's Sapphire can be seen on that thing hanging from the ceiling behind King Zora's throne. That good enough? Question: What was the first Zelda game to be remade?
GinnyLyn
Link's Awakening (Link's Awakening DX). (Desbreko excluded) What is a Desbreko and which game did it appear in?
Desbreko
Oh, sure, just go ahead and exclude me. I know when I'm not wanted. I'll just be over there in the center of the room... *sniff* :( I think I actually asked that question before, though, but I'm not sure. There've been way too many questions to keep track of them all. *wishes you could do searches in threads and not just forums*
GinnyLyn
Well, but I know you know what one is, because of your s/n. Let's see if there are any peeps out there willing to fight for your Ultimate Knower of Zelda Info title (anotherwords, this is a test to see how smart the rest of us are :p). *huggles her Breko plush and waits*
Talon
I think it's Majora's Mask. Bigger than a skullfish, Tatl says something about it not letting go when it gets you. You have to kill one to get one of LuLu's eggs and learn the New Wave Bossa Nova.
Desbreko
Yeah, that's pretty much it. They're like, about three times as big as Skullfish, and when they bite you, they drag you around in the water for a couple seconds before letting go. (And of course, you get hurt during that time, heh). They're actually one of the more rare enemies in the game. There's maybe one or two in the Pirates' Fortress, and the same for the Great Bay Temple. Haven't seen any more elsewhere.
