Corey
This is an actual experiance that happened to me recently. __________________________ A Sonnet of Missed Opportunity By: Corey Why is it so hard to say goodbye? A beautiful young woman stands on the brink. The rbink of being removed from my life. I say goodbye and give her a hug. She hugs back and rests her head on my shoulder. I wish to kiss her velvet lips. If only I should be so impulsive! Perhaps if I had we would have become more than just close friends. Every step I take echos in the depths of my heart. I walk out of the door feeling a future slip away. I turn to get one last glimpse of the one I love. She smile a sad smile and I turn away. My face falls as I climb into the car. I look out of the tinted windows into a face that cannot possible see my own. I wave. She waves back. A cooincidence? I would like to think so. The car pulls out of her driveway. A single tear fals from my face; the first of many. Every foot I get from her my mood saddens. The others ont he roads are oblivious to my turmoil. They have their own ordeals to get through, their own problems, their own dissapointments... Their own missed opportunities.

Mist
Oh my God...Corey, I'm...oh dear, I'm afraid you've left me speechless and very well near tears. That was so full of heart-felt emotion, and the way you manipulated the words to be so simple, yet powerful, well, let's just say I'm slightly dizzy, shall we? Anyway, you know I'm always here for you, right?
