Anyone here read? I read all the time. What types of books do you read? And where do you usually read?

The types of books I read are Sci-Fi( Star Wars), and history books. Im fascinated by history, and I just love Star Wars. I usually read on the couch, or in my room. I just lay there for hours reading.

Anywayz my favorite book....hmm...thats tough...I couldn't say....Prolly the Wheel of Time series.....*shrugs* But yes I love reading...I have to read Count of Monti Cristo Before school starts, I can't wait to start reading it!

I envy you not.

I love reading. I can't remember a time when I didn't love reading.

Ender's Game was fantastic. I just recently read Ender's Shadow...Tis about Bean, it's a companion book, more than a sequel.

And I'm gonna throw this out there again....Has anyone read the Ishmael saga, by Daniel Quinn? It includes Ishmael, My Ishmael, and The Story of B.

My second favorite book, beneath The Hobbit, naturally, would have to be The Giver. That was a great book, and if it weren't for the way The Hobbit captivated me, it would be the greatest book in existence. I reccommend it for ANYone!

I never used to like reading, but recently I have read more and more.

I am a big fan of Terry Pratchett, I like his writing style and his wild imagination.

One of my favourite books was To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, great book.

I love to write, I am currently writing a story based on the Project Silence RPG that fell through in the Adventure forum. I'm about 28 pages through...

I love reading and I loved The Hobbit. I still have to read LOTR, I have started it but never finished it ^_^;;.

Right now I have to read Bless me, Ultima and The Pearl for summer. I finished The Pearl and it was alright. I started the other one and it's good so far.

Meh, I'm not much of a reader. I like to be able to see things and touch them and stuff, but they nobody makes picture books for older readers. So until that day comes, I won't read many books. So I usually stick to movies and such.

The only books I have read were either for school, or reccomended with an interesting plot or idea. I believe the first actual "non-children's" book I read was 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and that was in the fifth grade. Guess what, that book had pictures too. :p I read that one by choice cause I was already familiar with the story, I just didn't know it. So I decided to check it out. I think I also read some Sherlock Holmes book after that. Then there were book I had to read for school such as Where the Red Fern Grows, Watership Down, Johnny Tremain (absolutley horrible), To Kill a Mockingbird (I just didn't get it), and most recently last year... A Tale of Two Cities (Kill it!!! Kill it now!!!) ... how much I hated that book.. I almost flunked English because of that.

I'd say of those book, I enjoyed Watership Down the most. That was kind of fun to read. It lead me into reading Perloo the Bold (also about rabbits) which was also good in my opinion. It was reccomended by a friend. Then I'd say my favorite book is The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which was recommended by Justin.

I like reading, but I'm not as big a bookworm as I used to be. I used to be a really big fan of Roald Dahl when I was a kid, he had some great books. for school summer-reading I've decided to read the first Harry Potter book (no problem there), Many Waters by Madeline L'Engle (one of my favorite authors), and Animal Farm by George Orwell. if I'm ever reading for fun it's usually on traveling or psychology (or manga, of course ^.^).

I adore books of a biographical nature. My favorite book would be Falling Leaves, which was written by Adeline Yen Mah.
That book is such a great book, Ive heard. I haven't read it yet, but my ex girlfriend read it. She's into the whole series, if it is one. Including, Chinese Cinderella, The Child Called It..yeah.

Anyways, I like to read sometimes. Not all the time though. I usually read when I have nothing else to do. My favorite book would have to be "Ender's Game". I didn't get to read the other books to it yet.

This summer I have to do some summer reading for high school. I have to choose from: "A Tale Of Two Cities", "The Diary of Anne Frank", and "Animal Farm". I chose Animal Farm. Anyone read that book? If so, was it any good?

I liked reading Animal Farm, it's really good. not to mention it's a pretty short book, so if you're not that big on reading it wouldn't take you forever to read it.

A Tale of Two Cities and The Diary of Anne Frank are good books too, but I wouldn't want to actually take them apart and analyze every little thing about them, like I'm gonna hafta do with TOTC sometime this year or next year in English.

I recently read Of Mice and Men and I thought it was excellent, I would reccomend it to anyone.

I read games magazines all the time, but reading a good book is a completely different experience to a magazine.

Me read? Why, of course I do!! My favorite book of all time would so definetly have to be The Stand By: Stephen King. If you haven't read that book you sure should. I've also read these other books by him: The Eyes of the Dragon, Cujo, The Shinning, Needful Things, and a few others I can't remember off the very top of my head. I've also read The Lord of The Rings and the Hobbit, , and right now I am reading The Silmarillion which is even better than both The Hobbit and The Lord of The Rings I think at least. If anyone's read The Lord of The Rings, they should read The Silmarillion, it's great. Another book I have read that I found to be a very good book was The Clan of The Cave Bear, it's the first book in a series of 4 I think. After the Silmarillion I am going to read the second in the series, The Valley of The Horses. I've read many other books for school...like My Antonia--they made us read that, it's supposed to be a classic, but everyone hated it!!! It had a really stupid storyline and it was just really way to descriptive and dull. We also had to read The Pearl, and that was actually pretty good. Also I used to read the Goosebumps way back then when I was younger. Then I started reading The Animorphs books...there's even more, but isn't this enough?
