Whats this fascination with The Giver?! I had to read it for school, 90% of the books mentioned here are books that I have/going to read in the future sometime. I didn't like The Giver, I thought it was pretty boring... -_-; Well actually I thought all books where boring.. I remember why I hate books!!

No Pictures! :p

I'm serious, I hate books that don't have pictures... Thats why I only like comics and viz graphic novels

I like magazine's too... But only Gaming, Skateboarding, and Porn...XD

Blasphemy!

The Giver was the BEST book in existence, if it weren't for the war in The Hobbit, that was great. The Giver captivated me like no other book has. I didn't understand alot, since it was in sixth grade, and I was an idiot back then, but if I get my hands on it, I'm going to love it.

And I'm gonna throw this out there again....Has anyone read the Ishmael saga, by Daniel Quinn? It includes Ishmael, My Ishmael, and The Story of B.
Hell yeah. Ender's Game! There's gonna be a new book coming out on August 19 as a sequel to the Bean series.

I've just bought The Ultimate HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy for 17 bucks at Waldens. I've heard good things about it.

I've also just completed 1984 by Orwell. Lady M was right. When I finished I wanted to throw it against the wall. Still good reading though.

There are so many books I'd like to read:

Everything you know is wrong
Stupid White Men
Dune
The Electric kool aid acid test
etc

You name it, I probably like it.

oh yeah, number five is really good, too. I haven't read any of the Chronicles of Narnia books except for the 5th one for some reason, but I liked it.

Has anyone read the Tomorrow, When the War Began series by John Marsden? There's like seven books in the series. They're Australian books, I think, so I don't know how many of you have read them.

I absolutely love to read. My friends always call me "Bookie" because if I'm not doing anything, I'm always reading. I can't exactly say that I have a favorite book, because I have lots of them. The Redwall series (Marlfox in particular) are good, and I read an interesting book called "God Don't Like Ugly" in recent weeks. But mostly I check out drawing books so I can work on my techinque. I figure I'll need a really good portfolio in order to get into the college I want, so why not get a head start?

mmmmmm kinda hard for a list. But lets see,
1. where the red fern grows
2. the giver(or anything by lois lowry)
3.all the narnia books
4. star trek books (closet trekkie)
5. all kinds of dragon books (dragons milk, dragons blood etc.)
6. any dramatic books about life
7.good night moon
8.sphere
9comics!!!
10 last but not least my favorite Memoirs of a Bookbat.

Reading is fun, its like watching a movie once you get real into it, but its better. So i guess i read anything but my math book, i just read animal farm. Creepy book man.
