in a few posts ive read they talk about dark aeons, what/where are they??

Dark aeons can only be found in the international version of ff10

The dark aeons are like the normal aeons but you fight them and they are really strong. The dark aeons are found in different places.

I beat them by summoning yojimbo and pay him over 150000 gil to kill them in one hit:)

Dark Aeons are basically the evil versions of the Aeons that you have gathered across Spira.

You can only access Penance after defeating all of the Dark Aeons. It is only reasonable that you face him with attributes at the maximum 255, Luck levels of over 120, and HP levels of 40000 at the minimum.
