Well, I've been working my tail off on my rpg and I'm satisfied with how it's going so far.

But, I say that you just turn off the Otaku Adventures forum for those little buggers that sign up and don't play. <--- not really a realistic suggestion though, heh.

A more realistic solution would be to make a rule creating a minimum number of lines for each roleplay in that forum. I've been in a roleplaying club, and the results were extremely successful with that rule in place. It really weeds out the wannabes.

Simple answer. They join because you're an administrator. But, once they see the quality you expect in your rpg, they bail, lol.

[color=crimson][size=1] Yeah, this does happen to a lot of the rpg's that are on OB, and other sites. It's good to take the time to develop your character in the rpg, but sometimes, too many people get so carried away with their characters past, they focus only on that, and not the main plot.

It's all about one thing: The glorifiaction of one's character. It's true. I have been guilty of this, as I'm sure a lot of rpg'ers have. But over the time, when you get the gist of it, you get better with staying with the plot.

The problem is, on OB, there's rpg'ers within all levels of experience, from years to months, to even days. I myself had never played in an rpg until I arrived here. (Maybe I said a little too much....)

Anyway, it's very annoying how it happens, but it does. There's nothing you can really do about the outcome of an rpg except cross you fingers and hope some idiot in it won't screw the whole thing up.[/color][/size]

And I also just started RPG's a couple of weeks into after I got to OB. ^_^' I've tried to keep my char from having too much ova big part in the rpg's.... hmm.... I hope I haven't been getting carried away as well... *shrugs*[/color] [/size]
