I'm planning on getting Smuggler's Run, Agressive Inline and Beach Spikers before Mario... and then whatever version of Turok is best a few days later.

If you need a game NOW, go get Bomberman Generations... I love that game :).

*gets ready to rattle of the list of games that I'm planning to get over the rest of 2002 and beyond* Okay, first off, I will be getting Super Mario Sunshine for my next GCN game. Then I'm probably going to be getting a Memory Card 251, and then save up for Metroid Prime and Metroid Fusion, which are coming out on November 18. Then, I'll be getting the Zelda: A Link to the Past remake that's coming out in December. If I have enough money in between that Memory Card 251 and Metroid Prime/Fusion, I may get Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. Right now, though, I don't know if I'll have the money.

As for 2003, I'll be getting the GCN Zelda in February, and then possibly the PC version of FFXI, if I can get my computer upgraded. I'll probably be able to upgrade it, though, if I just ask for money for both Christmas and my birthday. As for beyond that, who knows...

Also, I'm going to have to get together with my friends, to see which games they're planning on getting. Maybe together we'll manage to get most or all of the great first/second party games coming out this year. Then we can just trade them back and forth, so we'll all get to play them all. :)

I'll probably get Super Smash Bros: Melee next, then Super Mario Sunshine.. Maybe after that I'll get Extreme G 3.

Desbreko, he said Gamecube titles.. silly. :P

Yeah, but I figured I'd just go ahead and give the whole list, while I'm at it. :toothy: - Desbreko

You're asking me a lot there man, lol. My list of games which will be mine in the future...*takes a deep breathe*....ahem.....

I have been most eagerly awaiting the release of Super Mario Sunshine, although Luigi's Mansion didn't impress me too much, I still have faith in the Mario brothers.

Next up is the usual, Super Metroid Prime, Star Fox, both Legend of Zelda titles, etc. :toothy:

Seeing as how Perfect Dark 2 is going to be making its way to the Gamecube, I see this as an opportunity to relive my FPS experience with smoother graphics and sharper sound.

I must get Resident Evil, probably the only reason that I have a Gamecube is for that game. Unlucky for me, it's not out in the UK yet. Resident Evil 0 should be a huge asset to my collection of survival horros. :)

Lastly, Soul Calibur 2, although this will be getting a PS2 release, I may need to skip it when it comes down to Nintendo. I just can't figure out how a first class beat 'em up will work on that pad.....

The future is looking bright for Nintendo, maybe new releases will be announced, who knows.

Right now, I want to save money, so I'll only be buying Mario Sunshine, Animal Crossing, Star Fox, Metroid Fusion and Resident Evil 0 this year. With luck, I'll get Metroid Prime and PSO (with modem) for my birthday...

My next GameCube game will probably be Super Mario Sunshine.

After that...probably Eternal Darkness, Star Fox Adventures and Metroid Prime.

Other than those first/second party games, I can't think of anything that really jumps out at me.

I didn't think he meant any GC game in the next 2 years, so I just listed stuff coming before September lol. I think MP, Zelda and SFA are pretty much a given for most people with a GC. Why would you buy it if you didn't want one of those (or SMS too)? :)

I've also wanted Animal Crossing since it was announced for N64 in Japan all those years ago. It's probably my most wanted GC game. I also want Ikuragua (PLEASE), if the port rumors turn out to be true.

Nightfire, Mystic Heroes and a few other games might be worth getting as well.

As for SC2... if you play the game enough, I think it would be better suited for GC's controller. This isn't a 6 button 2D fighter we're talking about, it's a fighter that really only uses 4 buttons (punch, kick, block... and that charge, which can be done other ways). I can't tell you how many times I've messed up in VF4, just because I don't feel the PS2 controller is suited to that game at all. I feel the same about SC2. I think they can make a great layout for it. However, I only use the stick in fighters when it is allowed, so if you want to use the GC D-pad...maybe you are better off with the PS2 controller anyway.

Well, I know that I'll get Mario Sunshine for the sake of getting the next big Nintendo title. Since getting Eternal Darkness for GameCube, I haven't really bothered picking up anymore games. Mario Sunshine will be a great way to round out the summer.

Star Fox Adventures is scheduled to release on my birthday, so I seem destined to add it to my collection at one time or another.

Super Monkey Ball 2 looks nice, but I'm not made of money and I can't play every game out there, so I don't know if I'll bother buying it.

Turok Evolution looks promising, but I'm not sure if it's worth owning. Acclaim has a way of coming out of the gate strong with Turok titles, but as the game progresses, layer upon layer of flaw is revealed. The weapon arsenal will be amazing and the ambient life pulls me in, but if the gameplay frustrates me as much as Turok 2 did, then count me out.

Metroid Prime, DieHard Vendetta and Resident Evil 0 are the other three titles that I'm looking forward too.

All three bring innovative new features to their genre and even surpass the boundries of their genres to a certain extent.....

That would be called spamming. If you have something of relevance to post, then be my guest. :)

Die Hard: Vendetta will be a great asset to my collection, I don't know of any other good First Person Shooters, besides Turok (which I don't intend on getting), coming out for the Gamecube.

Vendetta is also something new, where Die Hard Trilogy was based on all three of the movies. At least this time around we won't be seeing something the same, something not too predictable.

Well, you can post like that. Instead of posting about ten, one-sentence posts a day, just make a handful of thoughtful ones like me. ;)

Anyway, I've always liked the exploration involved in the Turok series, but the lack of save points in Turok 2 really turned me off to it. I literally played a level for two hours before being able to save my game. I don't know what Acclaim was thinking, because those worlds were expansive.

I've never played Turok 3, so I don't know if Acclaim's already corrected this or not. But, if they haven't, then Metroid Prime and Die Hard Vendetta will be the shooters to own.

Personally, I liked Turok 2 despite it's problems... at least at first. It was a really good looking game, and it ran rather well. The first area was definately my favorite. However, once I got to the 4th area (the one with those cyclops) the game just got ridiculous. The map is of little help, considering that the tunnels in the level overlap eachother. There were a lot of collecting parts to the game that just frustrated the hell out of me too. And on top of all this, there was maybe 2 save points to a level if you were lucky. I never played Turok 3 either, but it sounded like it was an improvment.

Turok: Evolution really interests me only because it sounds like it's trying to recreate the original Turok, which was really damn good at the time it came out. Acclaim is so hit and miss, and from what I've seen and read it sounds like they might make up for the last 2. We'll see. I'm only going to get a version of it if people seem to give it decent reviews.

The strange thing is that at E3, I heard more negativity about Die Hard than I did Turok. I am not sure of why. Seems most people aren't impressed with Die Hard's graphics, and while they do look very PC-ish to me, they still look decent. The controls were apparently not very good in the demo either. They have time to fix it though, and there are still a lot of things about it that interest me... mainly the hostage taking.

Oh, and I forgot Harvest Moon: Wonderful Life amd Robotech :).
