BigCajones
No it is definetely out already, but I will simply wait for MSG2: Subtstance or Panzer Dragoon Orta. I have a weird feeling that RCT2 is not right then, but why would it be in the release dates of an X-Box magazine? I haven't seen any reviews either. :(
Bing
I think you could have just got mixed up with something else! Dead to Rights is one of the fews game to actually be released early, now that's amazing! Panzer Dragoon Orta looks very impressive from what I've seen so far, and so does Substance. The next thing I am going to buy though, is a 2nd controller, which I half have, because I won an auction on EBay!
Tommy Vercetti
Hmmm i have thought about games that i want in short term and long term so i am just going to say my list although i can't remember when every single game comes out. This isn't a really next xbox game but its a few xbox games that i want to get in a next sort of sense and in no particular order. Halo 2, Shenmue II, MGS2 Substance, Fable, Indiana Jones and Emperor's Tomb, WWE Raw 2, Sniper Elite, Team SAS, Men Of Valor: Vietnam,Driver 3, Enter the Matrix. Thats a few of the ones i want and i may edit if there are anymore that come into my head.
Bing
Report - RCT confirmed for the X Box. Woohoo. I think we need an X Box mouse though, because this will bite with the controller. Cajones, if you own MGS: SOL, I seriously recommend that you don't get Substance. You will know the plot etc. and there are only 300 VR missions, and from what I know of you as a gamer, you like action and a story in your games. I can see you getting easily bored with the missions, as they are just like long training excerises. Well, I don't even own a PS2, so I've pre ordered my copy of Substance (released on Friay 7th), and I'm pretty excited about it! One last thing...Why are people excited about WWE Raw 2? The last Raw 'treat' we got on the X Box, might as well have been chucked in the bin. It was useless. I would look for an alternative, because after the 'crapness' of Raw, I would have low expectations for the sequel.
BigCajones
Well actually I don't mind these type of games and even though I have MGS2: SoL this game is a heck of alot different. I will probably get other games first, but I still am anticipating this game quite a bit. Extra features: 5 Snake Tales, 358 VR missions, 153 alternative missions and 2 skateboarding stages. :) You can also unlock characters, boss survival mode, a casting theatre and when you collect dog tags this time you actualy get rewards! :excited: This is definetely my type of game and although I will have to do Sol again I'm not terribly bothered as it was pretty god damn easy and fun plus there is two new bosses! Lets hope it lives up to its expectations! Phew I'm glad that you heard RCT2 is coming out as well, because I'm sure I heard it somewhere. :toothy: Nice to know it is classified even though it may ruin the game I'm not sure, could be like when The Sims arrived on the PS2 did that ruin the game or improve it? (Don't answer by the way). WWE Raw 2: Ruthless Aggression ... Heh! :babble:
Tommy Vercetti
Hmmm I am only getting Raw 2 because apparently it is supposed to be really alot better than the first one. Every one has different oppinions of it and i don't think you can really judge a game accurately enough unless you have actually played it in my oppinion. Take legends of wrestling for example the first one was to be completely crap and it was a bit of a disappointment but now the second one has picked up and has made it seem alot better with more matches wrestlers and features. I am a big fan of wrestling games and so i will get more or less any one that is on a console that i have.
GhostofSalvtore
RAW 2 has been delayed till Fall 2003, just to let ya know. Maybe there will be a game for Xbox that you want before that time. Actually all the new wrestling games from THQ, Smackdown 2003, WMX9, and RAW 2, come out fall/winter 2003.
Bing
I've played Raw...it was awful. Slow and boring, and if someone tried to sell it to me, I'd kick them in the head. Anyway, yesterday, being bored, as per usual, I was browsing through some pre owned game bins, and I found a copy of Dark Summit, for £8. I bought it, thinking well, if it's crap, I'll beat it, and I haven't lost much cash on it. But I'm surprised at how good it is. Graphics are good, a few minor glitches, and the missions are yet to challenge me, but I'm sure it will get harder! Good game though, and at such a low price, you should get a copy of it!
BigCajones
Next time I go shopping and I see it for £8 I will buy it then. I decided not to get Substance in the end and I some how tangled up with Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I haven't got a fighting game for the Xbox and it was 20% off as well as a £5 off voucher, but I it was probably a stupid idea. Luckily if I take it back I will probably end up with getting my money back. First impressions; very fast and furious action, plenty of characters and pretty darn confusing (I should really read the manual every now and again). Graphics; not very good at all, but I suppose there not supposed to be in this game. I hear Capcom vs. SNK 2:E0 (sp?) would of been a much better choice in that type of fighting game. Oh well.. To be honest I could of got Hitman 2, but I'm fed up of getting easy 1-player FPS games with not much of a lifespan. Well I'm happy I've got Resident Evil 0 at least and well also now I've got another multiplayer game to play with mates. :) I need to conjure up some money to be able to get other big releases ARGH!
Bing
Well, when I got home from school, I found my copy of Substance lying on my doorstep. It's pretty impressive, but it's basically Sons of Liberty with some nice little extras! I hate to break it to you Cajones, but Hitman 2 isn't a FPS. It's worth a try, even if you just rent it!
BigCajones
I was advised not to get Substance for that very reason, because it's basically the same, but with little extras trying to make it a longer game. Sorry that post was a bit rushed and yes I know its third person shoot-em up kind of game. I don't mind M vs. C2 it's beginning to grow on me. :toothy:
Bing
Yeh, I guess it will grow on you over time, I just fail to see the point of 2D games on such a powerful system. I don't think there's much room for it. As for Hitman 2, you should get it, it's a quality game, and it's quite long as well. As I said before, don't get Substance if you've got SoL...exactly the same! Controls are also a bit dodgy, and the VR Missions are nothing special.
BigCajones
At the moment I'm just having fun trying to get everything on Mvs.C 2, but I'm sure my fun will die down after a period of time. So after all this hype about Substance it aint even that good or well that much of an improvement? *slaps Solid Snake* Next Xbox game: Panzer Dragoon Orta
Tommy Vercetti
I actually i have no idea what the next game i get will be. I always say i am going to get some game next but i end up getting a different one. I usually get any games that catch my eye whether its the price or if its a fairly new game that i wanted to get but didn't get it when it came out. I want to get some main titles liek Halo 2, Raw 2 etc but i will have to wait quite a while for them so i will get any games that interest me before they come out. Bing
PDO looks very pleasing. I may get that, or Shenmue II, becuase they are both great games, some of the best ones we will see in 2003. I agree Vercetti, price attracts me a lot, because I feel if a game is like, £8 (like Dark Summit was) even if it's crap, it's stil la game, and if it provides you with a bit of gaming, it's worth it. I mean, you pay just under half of that for a two night rental!
Tommy Vercetti
Well I bought Shenmue II which was a game that i had my eye on since the first time I heard it was being released. I have now decided that I really want to get Indiana Jones and The Emperor's Tomb which I hope to get this weekend if I have any money or I may ask someone like my brother to buy it for me as he is cool and generous. trackSIN
C&C Generals - its out but still it was really fun at my friends house. And for the Xbox i would say True crimes. <--The next GTA. Without all the D*mm glitches.
Bing
Have I missed some major announcement? When was GTA said to be released for X Box? I said this previously, about Sony's exclusive contract running out in 2004, and that the 'Box may be getting a game, but my ideas were excused by the fact that *supposedly* Sony had signed a new contract? With so many GTA fans owning X Box, and the System's power, it seems a very sensible idea to invest in it.
Guest Oyeah
yes Marvel vs Capcom is good. I'm playing it now. But I unlocked another Wolverine=I now have 2 Wolverines! Anyway the next game I get will probably be Enter The Matrix. Oyeah!
