Manic Webb
It wasn't one of the best sci-fi/comedy anime I've ever seen, but it was still good. If you've never seen it (or paid attention to it), then it's about Justy Ueki Tylor, the captain of the space destroyer ship The Soyokaze. Tylor is very loose, laid back, irresponsible, and in his early 20's. His ship is full of a bunch of rejects and their assigned to the most dead, empty, and action-less part of space to defend any coming attacks from the Earth's enemy (whose name I can't remember right now). Tylor's crew always seems to get in danger and he always finds a way out of every situation with pure luck, and without even trying. It kinda reminds me of Sailormoon, only it's not as pretty. Anyway, now that I've wasted your time telling you about a series some of you've already seen, what do you think of it? Def_Kun
I liked it just because of it's comedic factor. The plot was nothing new and the characters were not much (both based on art and personality) but it seems that Captain Tylor was able to captivate my attention. Saw both the series and OAV. The OAV kinda left you hanging.
Sensei-San
The irresponsible Captain Taylor is without a doubt an action/comedy genre. It was very hilarious indeed. I particularly enjoy it whenever Captain Tylor messes up really badly, only to wriggle out of the situation caused. However, I also felt the sense of a love story going on, I thought it changed Captain Taylor in a way, his whole attitude in fact. Frankly, I didn't like this movie that much, there are many hilarious animes out there, meaning that this isn't the only one to watch, personally, I wouldn't recommend it. :)

tabmow
Tylor was one of the best shows anime or not that i have ever seen. It had a good sense of tight story telling left enough open at the end to possibly make a sequal although I hope they don't the story was pretty much complete. While the anime was just a little above average it did enhance the story. The story was good enough thast the second time I saw the series i watched it in one day. What I have seen of the ova s shows they aren' t up to par with the series If you haven't seen Tylor watch it subtitled the dubbed version's voices are annoying
Sensei-San
Originally posted by genkai_yyh er....i feel left out, how pathetic>:( im such and idiot.....i hate myself...:(:( what is this thing you speak of?
The Irresponsible Captain Taylor is just basically about a really dopey Captain who always manages to wriggle out of the messes he makes. There is a hint of love, action, and most definitely humor. It really is worth the while. :)
PrettygurlRei
I loved that show, I used to watch it every sunday night 8 to 9 p.m after the japanese dbz on channel 240 the international channel. I used to love the show, but they cut it off for this cheesy almost like Gundam and Sailor Moon mixed together anime. Now Slayers is playing, I havent got to check that out, but I heard it was good...
