Kinetic
Don't worry, Algebra isn't too hard (although, I didn't finish the book, and am doing it for the second year in the row), and in Algebra (especially the beginning), they cover alot of things in pre-algebra, but as you progress, it's the same thing, just harder, and harder, and harder, and so on. As for History...I did U.S. History, but, eh... English...I love English, best subject in my opinion :)
Orginally posted by Aries English...I love English, best subject in my opinion
I completely and utterly agree. All my classes are a drag, and I find myself looking at the clock every five minutes. English, however, is great because 1) It's more hands-on, experimentation types and 2) My English teacher is crazy and gulliable! She'll be bouncing around the room, resembling anblaoted parakeet and then is you don't do your homework, and come up with a really good excuse, she acts like it's nothing, and goes back to buncing around the room! She is a great teacher, though. Anyway, I do look forward to school. This will be my last year in middle school, (Thank God!) so I'm ready to get it over with. Not to mention, there's always the fun of being able to terrioze the teachers from eight in the morning untill five in the afternoon. (And, yes, I'm serious about getting out at five.)
Juu
Math is my fav. It's the easiest too. Well... Last year, I was sorta 'teacher's pet' for my english teacher... so... ^^' Sorta rubbed my way out of getting in trouble. :naughty: Anyway, I got out may 30th, said my good-byes, and went to my friend's birthday party... and left for San Francisco, Cali, on June 1st!! and btw... I'm dying of boredom.. I'd kill to get back in school....

Kinetic
Don't think about it when people make fun of you. I've always been a social outcast, and made fun of, but I don't let it get to me, and if you don't let it get to you, then you'll be fine. Plus, not all ninth graders are bad :p <---going into ninth

Rain
I went back to school last week...but we have a different school year in Australia. It starts in Feb and ends in Dec. We have four ten week terms with two week breaks in between them and then week have a six week break in Dec/Jan. Oh well, only half a year to go. Kinetic
Wow, you're time zones are really different from ours. It's almost August here in the U.S. :blulaugh: But wow, that's not a very long break.
Omniroth
Heh. Well, this school year should be interesting for me...Egyptian School Board fired 3 High School Teachers, and are having to have Middle School Teachers teach High School Classes, can you believe that? Plus, concidering all that's going on in Cairo just south of us, with the strike and all, they may be coming to us. But, we start the 20th and normaly get out May 10-17, somewhere in there. This year was the 17th, started on the 18th of this month. There's one thing i hope though...that Ryan dont cut anymore money out of either Cairo or Egyptian, or there's gonna be a very very big problem...not that there already is..but.... I'm dreading algebra, but with some practice, I'll get it...hopefully...:nervous: Anyway, don't respect me for my school schedule; it's not like I bear it. I can swear I, the Queen of Excuses, had run out of them in the middle of last year. I kept trying and it didn't work...:(
shibatku
Some schools in Indiana now are doing year round school. I bet it sucks. Anyone go to year round school? I go back in 16 days. I don't really like school, but I only have about 2 years left so I guess I can deal with it.
Nomad
I don't really want to go back to school. I'm going into 9th grade here and doubt will know more than two people in new school. hehehe most of my friends last year flunked, hehe.
Jeebs
I didn't really have a summer vacation. I've had to watch my nephew all summer. My sister was supposed to move out at the beginning of summer, but she still hasn't moved out.
Ryan
I am good at math, but I can't stand to do it. It just gets on my nerves a lot. The only class I like is my gifted and talented class. Because we get to be crazy and watch videos. And there isn't a lot of people in the class so we are all really good friends. But sometimes I like band just because whenever I am bored I will totally mess up the whole group when we are playing a song. It is funny and I get in total trouble.
SaiyanPrincessX
I go back August 27. I'm not looking forward to it atall. But on the bright side all the 9th graders go back a day before we do for there orientations, along with all the Elementry and Middle school kids, so I get 1 day longer of summer than my brother! And my birthdays coming up too so I do have things to look forward to.:D
Rain
Yeah, sometimes I wish we had 3 months of holidays, or however long you guys have. But I go crazy after 2 weeks, I can't imagine how bored I'd be after 3 months! My favourite subject is science. i like biology best because you get to cut up hearts and stuff. Ok, I just re read that and it makes me sound like some kind of psychopath. But our science teacher, she is weird. we had a lesson the other day on the erm...reproductive system and she starts talking about stuff that you don't want to hear your 30 year old teacher talk about:p. I'm like, far out miss, don't traumatise us!:nervous:
Ryan
LOL@Saiyan_Monkey. 30 is fine with me lol. I heard in our high school we have an old woman that is like 60 something for Health class. How bad is that going to be if we have to say all that stuff like on Varsity Blues.

Kinetic
Tommorrow?! Wow, I wouldn't like that at all...I still have to confirm that I am my mom's kid :p Since we haven't shown them our social security cards, and someone is borrowing our car (my dad drives the other one for work), and if we don't get our car back in time, I will track the guy down and gut him like a fish. The schools near me are awful, and crime-filled, and Treetops (which I'm trying to get into), is a great school, but we need the car :bluesweat:
Ryan
Anime Godess, Already, tomorrow?? I wouldn't be able to do it. I am just getting my classes sheet today. I am going to go pick it up later. Why do the days pass by so quickly?? Why?? I don't want to go back on the 20th. But hey, I am going camping for a few days on Monday and Tuesday and it is going to be so awesome because I love to camp and go fishing. I just can't wait!

Genkai
tomorrow? i still have a month... okay, noodleZ? you have a "gifted and talented" class? what do the non-"gifted and talented" kids do while you're there? i would love a gifted and talented class where we watched videos and stuff, we just have accelerated math, and that's pretty much it....we had acc. reading in sixth grade, but my class was the last year...the thing is, they weren't fun, they were just calsses that pushed you too hard.....IRRs....UUUGGGGHHHH! well,i guess that's it..but wow, tomorrow...sand diego got in school a week ago or something, according to "kaibas girl"... Ryan
The gifted and talented class is hard a lot. We do a program called FPS which stands for Future Problem Solving or Solvers. It is in most states except for like two and it is also in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, some other countries. But anyway. We get a topic we have to do research on and learn about in a few months, then we do a packet that takes two hours. It is six steps on finding a feasable and human action plan to solve a problem within the topic. We only have two hours like I said. Our three topics throughout the school year were Alternative Energy, Organ Donation and if we got a first place we got to go to the state bowl which was held in our states capitol which in my case was Austin, TX. But anyway if you don't get a first place you can get an invitation to go and that is what my group got. At state our topic was Environmental Law, there we did the same thing and ended up placing second out of our whole state which was so awesome. So we went to Internationals which was in Connecticut. Our topic was Virtual Corporations, which was so easy. But I don't know what we placed there. Just to tell you I am 12 years old and these topics were so easy. But not trying to brag. While we are going our gt class(gifted and talented) the others are doing social studies. We don't have to take social studies. That was in 5th and 6th. Now in 7th grade we have to take social studies and our gt takes place of our reading class which is so awesome.
Kei
I have to go back on the 26th. Ugh. Junior year at my high school is gonna be hell. We have to plan the stupid Senior Prom. >.< And my classes aren't a cakewalk, either. But there is a bright spot. I get to take Cisco!
