OK I haven't cheated on a game in ages becuase I think it's just a crappy way of finishing the game. But if you do cheat here's a tip that night just help you strengthen your team

This only works if you havent cheated for status upgrades the exception is the rare candy

1] Go fight missingno with rare candy in the first position you should get about 121 candies right this is about as far as most of you would go levelling up your guys well beyond what they were. There is one drawback to this method your other stuff like attack ect stays crap

2] To counter this problem just gather carbons, iron ect and use the missingno chest to raise your guys stats. Did that help

Just by the way this is not my idea a cousin of mine found out this cheat and told it to a whole load of people I just thought I'd tell some more

This is the total version of the cheat:

Go to the guy who teaches you how to catch pkmn in veridian. After that he told it, you have to go to an island. (cinabar and sea form are both possible)
Then surf on the right side over the coast. You'll meet Misingno.
Kill him.

Make sure that you have your item on the fourth spot.

I just had to do that cause I used to use it to trade pkmn from lvl 100 with rare pkmn :demon: (some stupid guys from school :D)

I've never heard of this cheat for Red and Blue. Are you sure that it works? Not saying that you're lying or anything, but I've found quite a few cheats from other people, not to mention those found on the Web, that don't work. BTW, for the duplicate items cheat, the item does have to be in the 6th slot.

I know that the ifinite items cheat D_A was talking about works(with the item in sixth place instead of fourth).
But I heard somewhere that if you catch that Missingno and keep it, it can screw up your game data:nervous:

It will. I learned that the hard way. Even just running into it will screw up your Hall of Fame records, so if for some reason you prize them, don't use the Duplication cheat.

I was pretty close :D
It does work and my hall of fame data is never screwed up. :|
But if you catch him: make sure that you have a spot in your team.

BTW: Missingno can evolve into kangaskan, so you can have a kangaskan with fly :D (but I dont know wich missingno you have to have for that... lvl 0, lvl 80 or lvl 120

Well, D_A, in my experience with the duplication cheat, my Hall of Fame data was always screwed up after I checked it when I put all the extra Rare Candies I had in my PC. Huh. I guess its not the same for every game if your data didn't get messed up.

I think what Red XIII was saying was that, since you Pokémon's stats won't be as high when you use a bunch of Rare Candies on it as they would by raising it normally, you should duplicate a bunch of the items that boost stats, also... Which is really obvious... If that's not what he meant, I have no idea what he's talking about.

Although, even if you do duplicate a bunch of stat boosting items, that still won't help you, since you can buy those items. Anyone that's serious about raising a team would also save up enough money to get a bunch of those items to use on their Pokémon, in addition to raising the Pokémon to level 100. So, you still come out with weaker Pokémon if you cheat and level up your Pokémon with Rare Candies.

And yes, even encountering missingno can screw up your saved game. There's not much as much of a chance as if you catch it, though, but there is a chance (though it's pretty unlikely for just encountering it). The worst thing you can do, though, is put it in a box. That makes it even more likely to screw up your saved game. That, and you really don't want to transfer it over to Pokémon Stadium 1 or 2. If you do, there's a chance the Transfer Pak you're using will stop working for transfering Pokémon.

Well, anyway, about the missingno, when I still had my blue and yellow version, I caught a missingno, but it did me alot of help. Once, it saved my game for me when My batteries went out. Kewl huh? It wouldv'e been better if he saved it during my fight with mewtwo tho.. - -
